    Lexi was amazing!

    I don’t know what we would have done without Lexi coordinating our wedding day. She is such a sweet human being and made everything go so perfectly! She was my fairy godmother making my wedding day dreams come true. Love her and definitely recommend her!

    Absolutely perfect

    Lexi was our wedding coordinator and she was every bit of perfect. We hired her a year or so prior to the wedding and that entire year leading up to our wedding day, she did everything my husband didn't want me worrying about. She also helped usher our nervous "bubble-boy" down the aisle;) 10/10 would recommend this team.

    I could not have made it through my wedding planning without Lexi. She was the absolute best thing I could have ever decided to do, when I hired her as my planner. She was beyond what I could have expected, and did everything she promised to do and so much more beyond that as well. Lexi will help you with anything and everything and always remains professional and detail oriented. She makes sure that everything gets done on time and gets done correctly. She is so kind, calm, and professional, and went out of her way to make sure that everything for my wedding was perfect the day of. She is hard working and worth every everything you’re willing to spend. Thank you for everything! Definitely would recommend to any bride out there. She was a life saver!!!

    I like to think that everything in life happens for a reason. And as mushy gushy and sappy as it is, I came across Lexi’s posting for a reason. From the first moment I contacted her she was nothing short of sweet, caring and passionate about what she does. The first time we got together to meet I thought it would just be a quick, simple meeting where we go over some paperwork that I had filled out. Our first meeting lasted about 3 hours and NOT in a bad way. We went over every little detail and throughout the entire meeting I kept telling Lexi, “I never realized how big of a train wreck my wedding would have been without you.” And I still think that to this day because there were so many things that Lexi knew and taught me about that I didn’t even know that I would ever have to know or worry about for my wedding. Between wedding talk we would get off subject and chat about various things and I realized that she was truly someone that I would be friends with in every day life. After that initial meeting Lexi made sure to let me know that she would always be available when I needed her and to never hesitate to contact her for anything. From there she would touch base with me every once in awhile to make sure that she had all of my updated information at all times when it came to my plans, vendors, ideas, everything. We met again shortly after when she drove to meet me at my venue for a walk trough. I also want to make a note that Lexi lives quite far from me, but would never hesitate to drive in traffic all the way over to my side of town even if it was just to meet with me for an hour. After the walk through at my venue, about a month later we met back at my venue again to do a final meeting with the venue to go over all final details. Lexi was always amazingly prepared for whatever we were discussing and usually could answer any question about my wedding even when it would take me a moment to (Please visit the Modern Expressions Facebook page for my full review..)

    Think no more when it comes to a photographer. My daughter Stephanie was married on August 12, 2017. We used Alexa and Ryan (aka Modern Expressions Photography), and are thrilled with our choice. First and foremost they listen, and then have great ideas that we never would have thought of. You get two experienced photographers for a price that is exceptional. I have two more daughters and would not hesitate using Alexa (Lexi) and Ryan again.

    I dont know what else to say but WOW! Ryan and Lexi make a great team. From the moment we met them, you could tell they really cared about our experience, and wanted to capture our story in the most authentic way possible. Not only were they timely, professional, friendly, unintrusive, and all around wonderful. Definitely made our special day unforgettable!!!! I would not hesitate to use them again.

    We had the absolute pleasure of working with Modern Expressions and could not be happier! My husband and I had our wedding in Miami and it was extreamly important to us to have a photographer that would be able to capture the details of our beach wedding. We honestly cannot put into words how happy we are with the pictures. They are stunning and I'm not sure what else I can say other then WOW!! Ryan is a true professionsal, has a true passion for what he does, has a great eye for detail, is amazing at taking the lead in setting up poses, and is extreamly talanted. He has blown us away and we will be forever greatful for the amazing moments that were captured on our special day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such spectacular and breathtaking pictures!!

    I was truly thankful to have Modern Expressions as a part of our wedding day. Their service was extremely professional, and their lighting set the perfect mood for our reception. Their DJ did a wonderful job with getting ALL of our guests involved and dancing and having a good time. In addition they helped coordinate the timeline of the reception so I (the bride) could have a stress free wedding day. I would highly recommend Modern Expressions to anyone looking to host an event!!!

    From the moment we started working with Modern Expressions until the end, we had nothing but an amazing experience. Not only were they professional but they were also easy to work with and made us feel comfortable. I've had so many compliments on my photos, the quality of their work is absolutely amazing.     I booked a wedding photographer that was just starting out, as a recommendation of one of my bridesmaids. Less than 6 weeks before my wedding her phone was disconnected and my emails to her were being returned undeliverable. You can imagine the panic state I was in. I got online and began frantically searching for someone whose style I liked and found Modern Expressions. I left a message to see if they were available for my wedding date. My call was promptly returned and thankfully they were available! They say everything happens for a reason and after this I see why. I could not be happier with how our wedding pictures turned out. Modern Expressions is the best and saved our special day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

    What an amazing experience we had with Ashley and Ryan. Great photographers that worked through every detail of everything we wanted. We could not be happier and are thrilled with all the special captures they took during our destination wedding =)

    Memories fade but photos are forever. There is only one chance to capture once in a lifetime moments, there are no do-overs. Modern Expressions went to great lengths to ensure our precious moments where captured into unfading memories. From offering a plethora of amazing photo site selections for a perfect back drop to pre-event planning and lists of those not to forget, Modern Expressions effortlessly removed the anxiety and worry of not having the pictures I knew I wanted, and even gave me those I didn’t realize I did want. During our wedding and reception the photographers captured wonderful interactions with our guests yet were never intrusive. Beyond the preparation and professionalism is quality and courtesy. The turn-around time from event to pictures in hand was amazing. From the time we met until the follow up call after we received our pictures, we were treated as valued friends, not just another client. They truly considered how anxious we were to view what was captured on such a whirlwind day. The photos were delivered even before the promise day. The packages are very cost friendly and the staff worked with us to make sure the choice we made not only fit our budget, but gave us what we desired in order to share with friends and family. I will never use another photographer and for anyone reading this who is in need of one, I encourage you to make Modern Expressions the last choice you make as well.

    Modern Expressions did such an AMAZING job with my wedding photography. I couldn't have been any happier with how the pictures came out! Ryan arrived on time, and started right away with capturing all our amazing wedding photos! He was never intrusive, but still was able to capture EVERYTHING! Ryan is such a great people person and photographer! I was so comfortable taking pictures and so was everyone else! I have had so many compliments on my pictures that I have displayed all over my house! Modern Expressions is the only photographer I would use in the future!! Thank you!

    Disappointing, lacking attention to detail

    I needed someone to take care of the day of coordinations. I informed Lexi that I really wanted someone to set up and clean up so my family didn’t have to worry about anything at all. I stressed this multiple times. Upon booking Lexi, she was very communicative but upon her receiving our deposit she became harder to get ahold of. I went ahead and chalked this up to her being busy and having clients to deal with as our wedding was over a year out. Prior to our initial meet up, it was hard to get a confirmation that she would be meeting us at our scheduled time. We did end up meeting and lightly planning. She gave my husband and I some options to think about was helpful in this area. I ended up booking her company/husbands company with the same name to handle DJ services. I sent in the DJ request form she sent me in January 2019.

    We communicated lightly until the month leading up to the wedding. The month of we scheduled a walk through of the venue. In which we were told they needed a layout ASAP. Lexi told me she would have it to me the next day. Multiple days went by, the venue contacted me multiple times wondering where the layout was, and all I could do was wait for Lexi to give it to me. She gave it to me with simple errors that could have been avoided if she had simply reviewed the seating chart and layout we had discussed via email and during the walk through. Instead I had to ask her to revise the layout.

    The day of she arrived to the venue 30 minutes before we were able to get in and asked where everyone was, when we discussed that everyone would be there at 4pm. We discussed this via email and in person over and over.

    I did notice that the day of the wedding she was not her normal upbeat self and I found myself wondering if we had done something to upset her. She just seemed like she didn’t want to be there but we just let that go as we didn’t know if something had happened personally or she was just in work mode. Everything was going well until the DJ played the wrong recessional song. We didn’t point it out at the time because If that was the only thing that went wrong then it wasn’t a big deal, so we let that ride as well.

    The issue came when it came down to break down. I was not aware of the issues that occurred until I got home from my honeymoon. I was informed that Lexi stated that cleaning up wasn’t her job. My family (including my elderly grandmother) had helped her clean everything up, even though this was something I had specifically asked her to do and what the main reason for hiring her was. I’ve stressed over and over that I wanted my family to worry about nothing. My family stayed and helped out of concern that I wouldn’t receive the venue deposit back if Lexi didn’t clean.

    Obviously this issue is incredibly frustrating as I had discussed I wanted her to do this. Via email, Lexi stated that she was responsible for breakdown but not cleaning up food. The food clean up was fairly simple and would have taken her all of 10 minutes max to throw some pans and sternos away. While I can understand the confusion, Lexi should have called me to discuss if there was an issue. Lexi stated she told my family they didn’t need to help, but they felt bad and helped Lexi anyways. Lexi should have been firm and informed them that I paid her to do this.

    Since I already had to discuss that issue with her, I asked her about the wrong song being played at the recessional. Lexi stated that I didn’t inform her of a song. I referenced back to the DJ request that I filled out for her and she stated that she didn’t reference back to the form because I said I didn’t fill out a planning form and filled out a planning form for her. She figured the other form (specifically for the DJ) didn’t need to be read or looked for. When I heard planning form, I assumed a wedding planning form, not the DJ form. On the planning form it had no information about a recessional song, so instead of asking Lexi and the DJ played whatever song they wanted. Lexi informed me that this was my fault for not handwriting the information on her packet. I hired Lexi to check the missing boxes, dot the i’s, set up and clean up. While the set up was beautiful, all I got beyond that was pointed fingers, frustration and lack of communication and detail from the very person that should have been my go-to person on this day.
