Absolutely Perfect

We could not have asked for a more perfect reception. Jack is there to make sure everything goes as smooth as possible, and I quote “my job is to put out the fires, your job is to have a care free good time.”. He helped in all aspects and definitely put us at ease knowing that he had our backs. He gives great suggestions, and even helped surprise my fiancé with fireworks. Perfect venue for a perfect night.

Beautiful venue and amazing owner!

We booked this venue for our wedding on 11/27/24 and it was amazing! We had our ceremony and reception in the barn due to weather but were able to still take some photos by the pond beforehand. The barn was gorgeous with all the lighting, and we were able to move anything around we needed to in order to have it set up how we wanted. Jack(owner) was super kind and accommodating and provided advise based on his past experiences, which helped us a lot with the planning process. Not only did he help with set up, clean up, and any questions we had, he also was there to make sure things ran smoothly on the day of with helping the wedding party know when to start walking, setting out snacks/food, and lighting the fireworks for us at the end of the night. I couldn't have asked for a better host/owner and venue for our special day. Thank you Jack!

Perfect wedding venue

We cannot express how at ease Jack made us feel for our wedding! Living in CT, we were not always able to come back to NY for wedding planning/prep and he made everything so easy and stress free! He is very flexible and such a nice guy! The property alone is beautiful and very little decorating is needed! He made us feel welcome and like family for the week and weekend and honestly, anytime we came up to the farm. We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at MKJA Farm!

May wedding

MKJ gave us our dream wedding. Open space, enough room for over 150 guests. Jack the owner gave us more than enough time to set up, for rehearsal and the day of the wedding. Amazing amazing day!!

Jack was incredible to work with to make our day so amazing. He made everything so easy and perfect. Setting up taking things down utilizing the house for bridal party to get ready calming nerves making sure everything ran smoothly and on time. Couldn’t ask for a better place to say I do!

Absolutely amazing

I cannot put into words how amazing Jack and his Fiancé are. Jack went above and beyond from the day we looked at this venue, to my wedding day! The week/weekend leading up to the wedding, Jack opened his home to Michael and I, as well as our family to plan/get ready. Anything I needed- he made sure to get done without hesitation. We decided to have our ceremony out by his beautiful pond. Jack provided transportation for our grandparents/all guests to get up to the ceremony, as well as to get back down to the barn. We also were able to take pictures with the horses (who were my favorite). Jack gave my husband and I the opportunity to go up to the top of his property (which overlooks the entire valley) for photos. This was such a beautiful “private” moment for the two of us and the photos came out stunning! Jack truly made us feel special and made our day run perfectly. I could not have asked for a better venue or better people to work with!! Anyone looking for a barn wedding- this venue is 100% the best to choose!!

There are not enough good words that can be said about Jack from MKJ Farms!! He go above and beyond for everyone there. From the moment we booked our wedding, Jack has been nothing short of amazing. He works very diligently to make sure that everyone is comfortable and to make the day go by as smooth as possible. Anything that is needed, Jack goes above and beyond to make sure that the bride and grooms day is the day of their dreams!! He even goes so far as to take the bride and groom to their designated area after the reception. Amazing wedding venue

Our wedding here was absolutely amazing. Jack was very flexible with whatever we wanted to do that day to make our day special. After the wedding we had so many compliments on how beautiful and relaxing the wedding was. The pond where we got married at was the perfect setting. Jack opened up his house for us to all get ready in that morning, which made things so much easier. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married!

Beyond our expectations

To say MKJ farm and the owner Jack was amazing, doesnt even scratch the surface! He is so attentive and generous of his home and his property. He made me feel like family walking in his house anytime I want. I asked him so many questions leading up to the wedding and each time he eased my nerves. He made the day so perfect and he truly cares about the bride and groom having the best day they can. He made sure that everything went smoothly and even kept checking in to see how I was feeling. The venue is beyond gorgeous and most of the decorations were already there when I got there to start setting up. He had the barn staged just the way I would want it and was so willing to let us use whatever we needed. The wedding party and guests had the best time riding his "redneck limos" and he was relaxed about letting people use them as well as getting in and petting the horses. Our wedding was the most fun we have ever had at a wedding and choosing his venue was the best decision we ever made. I hope everyone that is looking into a barn wedding chooses MKJ because they wont regret it.

October 9, 2022 my daughter had the most gorgeous wedding any bride could dream of at MKJ. Cannot even say how much the owner did for us to make our dreams come true. Having Jack was like having a wedding planner of our own without paying for one. Jack is always there to answer any questions give advise or just make sure you have what you need! Freaking Awesome!

I don't even know where to begin! Ceremony at the pond..... BEAUTIFUL! Photos afterwards with the horses... AMAZING! Reception at the barn GORGOUS! Everything about this place is awesome! Jack took care of everything, opened his home to us, and made us feel at ease! I read a ton of reviews for this place and wondered if it was really as good as they all said. I assure you; it is! My only regret is not getting a picture taken with Jack!!

10/10⭐️ Extremely Recommended

This place is absolutely gorgeous. Due to the nice weather, we were able to have our ceremony at the pond and reception in the barn. We had a Friday night wedding and we were so lucky to be able to have a few days prior to the wedding to set up. Getting ready the day of is absolutely a breeze as Jack lets you use his own house. Jack is one of the main reasons we booked MKJ Farm. He made us feel like family rather than another customer. He goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure everything is how you want it, always helping out and making sure everyone is having fun. I can not thank him enough for everything he has done for us for our wedding and making sure everything is what we wanted.

My wedding day was absolutly perfect. I could not have asked for more. Everything went so smooth. Jack, the owner is the best around. He knows the best vendors and knows how to manage the day. The bar tenders at his facilty were so kind and professional. From start to finish Jack was there to answer any question and make sure my wedding was exactly how I wanted it. He is so calm, kind and professional, which makes the bride calm(er) as well. It is obvious that Jack enjoys what he does. My guests had a great experience from the shuttle rides to the ceremony all the way through to the end of the day. Truly the best decision I made.

The Perfect Day!

MKJ Farms is a beautiful venue with a stunning view but what makes it stand apart from the rest is the owner, Jack Buschmann. Jack made me feel as if I was his own family and was present all day catering to all mine and my husbands needs! He handled any hiccups that might have happened in such a calm and professional manner. Jack made all of our guests feel comfortable and welcome in his home. The best place to have a wedding ever! From the first time we went there we knew that Jack was the person to deal with for this Special day for my daughter! He is definitely a class act! He is very professional and courteous.

The venue is beautiful. Jack, the owner, is the nicest guy you’ll meet. He caters to your every need and helps take as much stress off you as possible. He genuinely cares and wants you to have your dream wedding. He also knows a lot of people and has been doing this for so long he’s also like a wedding planner when you need him to be. Couldn’t be more grateful for him and thankful for his patience when I was yelling like a crazy person. The whole venue is everything. Who needs a wedding planner when you have Jack!?

No, seriously- Jack @ MKJ is the BOMB.COM!! From the day we went and toured the venue to the end of our wedding night, Jack was there every step of the way making sure every detail was taken care of. What other barn venue owner in the area allows you to take full reign of their house the day of your wedding or have your ceremony on site without an extra fee? The venue was perfectly accessible for our elderly/handicapped guests and they even had transportation up to our ceremony spot. Jack is so accommodating and definitely helped to put this worry wart of a bride at ease!

Best venue around CNY area!!!!

I highly recommend checking out MkJ farm for your wedding. Not only is the barn and property beautiful but you get Jack! Jack went above and beyond making sure everything ran smooth and just truly helped every step of the way for planning our big day! I didn’t have a coordinator and Jack stepped up and Kept everything to plan. Anything we needed that day Jack was there to do… Jack even helped fluff my dress and carry it over a little mud(married on May 7th) before I walked! He is extremely flexible and you will not find any venue owner more accommodating then Jack! Trust me we checked out every barn venue from here to up to 2 hours away in every direction! This barn is all one level and huge! No stairs for guests to trip and fall and worry about which I have seen happen at other barn venues!!! Check this venue out! You will not regret it!!!

We had a blast!!

Jack and his staff were great! I got covid about a week before the wedding and he was very flexible with keeping up with my quarantine. We communicated a lot and luckily my quarantine was up before the wedding. He was very accommodating and answered all of my questions about the wedding. We had a blast! The venue is beautiful and it was a gorgeous day! Great views!

MKJ is Amazing!

We just had our wedding at MKJ Farms and we cannot be more thrilled with our special day! Jack made the planning process so easy with his responsiveness, his personality, and all that he gives into each and every wedding! Cannot recommend MKJ Farm enough!

I recently had my wedding at MKJ Farm, and the entire experience was wonderful! Jack is so kind, he was always available to chat when I had questions, and his professionalism and care for his clients is second to none. Not only did he provide the venue, he also picked up our alcohol, served it himself at our wedding, returned the leftovers, cleaned up after the wedding and packed everything into our car, offered to drive us to our hotel the night of our wedding, and even returned our car to us at our hotel the next day. We were able to do exactly what we wanted with our wedding day as well. I can't tell you how many times he said, "whatever you want, we can do it!" Plus, the price for everything that he does is unbeatable. A million thank you's to you, Jack! Our day was perfect and we couldn't have done it without your help!

I was just married in September 2021, and it one of the best days of my life. The place is spectacular, the owner(Jack) is amazing and his staff are great. He opens his house to the bridal party for the day, he takes care of the vendors when the arrive, he makes sure your wishes happen. Amazing experience!

The best day ever

Jack , has the best venue. Everything was absolutely perfect. And a true dream come true. He made everything so stress free and made us feel right at home. The view from the pond during our ceramony over looking the valley was stunning. The barn was huge and fit our guest perfectly and plenty of room for dancing. The horses on the property were so freindly we ended up in the pasture with them feeding them. We had fireworks . and later on he lit a bon fire with us .

Absolutely Fantastic Venue

The breathtaking country setting under direction of owner Jack Bushman, the event was flawless, and Jack took care of every detail, and the entire wedding went fantastic. The grounds are groomed and the backdrop of horses grazing on the back field was just amazing. This is the classiest venue in New York for a wedding or event. The Best Day of Our Lives

If you are looking for the most perfect wedding venue THIS IS IT. The barn is HUGE and perfect. The property is GORGEOUS and spacious, at all times of the year. You can have your ceremony pretty much anywhere. And you can have pictures with horses and donkeys. DO I NEED TO SAY MORE? Jack is honestly the most kind and giving man you can work with. He gives you his home to get ready in. He takes care of SO much. He is always available to talk and responds ALL THE TIME. I cannot stress enough how much I love Jack and this venue. He let us do whatever we preferred and wanted, from the set up of the space to the food/drinks, fireworks, etc. We had the absolute best day of our lives here and I wouldn't have wanted it anywhere else. I had my wedding here on Nov 3rd and honestly do not have the words to thank Jack enough. He is so welcoming and accommodating. Moments before I was set to walk down the aisle something was on my gown and he hand scrubbed it out! I can not thank him enough! The venue is beautiful inside and out and there are many great places for pictures. He opens his house to you and your wedding party to get ready. Me and my girls had a stress free fun time. Its also a benefit that you get bring in the caterers of your choice as well as plan your whole bar. The fireworks that are offered are also a great way to set your wedding apart!

I can’t stress enough how wonderful this venue is, and how incredible jack is during the whole thing! He makes you feel very comfortable and stress free (what girl doesn’t want that on her big day). A BIG plus is you don’t need a wedding planner with him, in my own personal experience I think he knows more than they do and what works best for your options at the farm. Please just do yourself a favor and relax on your wedding day by booking here, you won’t regret it!

When you book MKJ you don't just get a venue get get Jack, who by the end, becomes another member of the family. Jack was super responsive, helpful, and just willing to do whatever needed to make sure the day went off without a hitch. He's super knowledgable about what works best for set-up and flow of celebrations. Our friends and family cannot stop raving about the time they had, the beauty of the venue, and the warmth from the wonderful owners of this venue. Absolutely Amazing

Married Sept 14,2019

In the early months of our engagement, we searched to pick to the perfect venue. We looked at three or four different barns around the area but when we went to visit MKJ Farms, we knew this was the place. I remember when we first met Jack, it was dead of winter and he stored boats and other things for the winter and walking around bending over things and trying to imagine an Wedding was a laugh all on its own. Jack took us back to his personal house and showed us pictures and made us fall in love with the barn even more than we have already did. Jack made my now husband and myself very comfortable as he walked through a typical day of a wedding. Giving details on his firework package, bar package, stating that the girls have his personal house for the day and we could use his ranger to and from the barn if needed. Jack really put our minds at rest.

During all the months leading up to the wedding we were in contact if we had any questions or last minute “o my goodness what if” Jack would respond in a friendly manner but also very professional.

Rehearsal dinner, Jack walked us through on how we should walk, where we needed to stand etc. We ordered pizza and wings that night and relaxed at his house. On the day of the wedding, a few things were missing and within matter of minutes he had it that item that was missing. We were absolutely blown away! Even the most beautiful pictures still don’t seem to do justice for how beautiful of a location it is.

People often ask us what was the best part about our wedding day and for both of us the best part about the day was that we didn’t worry about anything. Jack worked very closely with our vendors some of our vendors were ones that he recommended! It was an incredible feeling to know that we could relax and enjoy our day knowing everything was going smoothly and our guests were all enjoying themselves.

Beautiful Views and Wonderful Owner

Jack was one of the first people I spoke to when my husband and I had started looking for our wedding venue. We were both in Ohio at the time and had limited time in New York before we moved to look at any venues. He was so accommodating from the start with helping us find time to come see the venue and we spent at least an hour after he gave us a tour just sitting and chatting with him. He’s such a kind and helpful person. He goes way above and beyond what he has to in order to help make everything run smoothly for the big day and take as much stress away from you as he can. He answered my tons of questions always in a timely manner and never made me feel like I was asking too many or being too much. I fell in love with the venue the moment I laid eyes on it. The barn is extremely spacious and the ceremony site by the pond is gorgeous. The entire property has such stunning views. Myself and all of my bridesmaids spent the morning relaxing and having fun while we got ready in his house and Jack was running around making sure everything was going okay so I wouldn’t have to worry. He helped me with my indecisiveness on the layout of the barn for the reception and he helped us work through our rehearsal and made sure everything went okay the day of the wedding. My husband and I spent some time after the guests had cleared out the night of the wedding chatting with Jack and the two bartenders we had for the receptions. One of them spent time with some of my cousins and younger kids that were at the wedding driving them around the property in the side by side. If the venue itself isn’t enough to convince you, Jacks friendly manner and willingness to help in whatever way he can should definitely do it. You can tell he loves being involved in the wedding business and wants people to have the best time they can.

AMAZING Picturesque Space

While, I was a guest attending a wedding this past weekend (9-7-19) at MKJ FARM, I can honestly say this was one of the most fabulous weddings that I have ever attended!! The space is unbelievable,very well decorated and by spending a few minutes with the owner, Jack, he is hands on. No detail was missed. I live in Delaware, but I immediately felt that when one of my kids gets married this would be the perfect destination wedding space. Cannot say enough good things about MKJ Farm. I would give it a gazillion thumbs up!!

Spectacular

I cannot say enough about the great experience we had at my daughters wedding reception at MKJ Farm. Jack is absolutely the best and the venue was great from the large bar with wonderful bartenders to the spacious dance floor and plenty of room for guests. Jack was available to help with anything we needed and I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone who wants a great time at a wonderful place. Having full use of the house on the property to get ready is an absolute plus. It was a relaxing atmosphere and stress free for the bride and bridal party. Thank you Jack and team for making Katie and Shane’s wedding day so perfect.

Beautiful venue with an amazing, personable owner!

Jack at MKJ made my husband and I's wedding day better than I could've imagined. The barn was decorated beautifully, we just added some small personal touches, and we got to do the ceremony up by the pond on the beautiful dock he had just rebuilt. Aside from the fact that the venue if beautiful, Jack made sure the day went by seamlessly which was perfect for me because we didn't go the extra mile to hire a wedding coordinator or planner; but with Jack, we didn't need either. He managed our walkthrough for the rehearsal which he so kindly allowed us to do at the barn the night prior, even going to extra mile to pick up out dinner and bring it back to the barn for us to eat. He was always there to offer words of advice and recommendations from his experience. He took us up to the top of the hill for beautiful pictures and set off a wonderful fireworks display later in the evening. He also made sure the shuttle service ran to our liking and even picked us up personally the following morning to go back and get our vehicle. I would not hesitate to chose Jack and MKJ again if I had to do it all over!

Incredible!

When we started looking at venues I kept saying that I didnt want a barn wedding. Then we met jack and boy was I extremely happy that we did! We sat down from the beginning he was so personable the meeting about what he has and the prices was so comfortable it didnt feel like a business meeting it felt like we sat down with a friend. Jack from the start said if we could dream it then it could be done! Me and my family decided to make our own food and decorate on our own . Jack was so supportive with our decision! When I arrived to decorate his staff asked me at least 5 times of I needed help and if they could do anything for me. clean up jack and his staff completed and made it very easy to pick up all of our things the following day! It was 86 the day we got married yes hot! but, with fans it was tolerable and hardly noticed with such breath taking views at sunset and such amazing staff! And he has updated and added two bathrooms in the venue making it easier for our older guests to access the bathroom! All in all I would recommend mkj every single time!! Hat off to you jack you have the best venue !

the absolute best day ever!

Hosting our wedding at MKJ was the best decision we ever made. We opted for the ceremony outdoors next to the pond and what an absolutely gorgeous spot it was! The reception space is grand with all the amenities you need; including a gorgeous and rustic bar that literally is the icing the cake in this space. Jack goes above and beyond to make your day perfect... so you can just relax and enjoy your day!

Jack was amazing. The venue was absolutely gorgeous. My BEST friend got married here on May 18th, and it couldn't have been any better. Excellent venue, even better owner

Venue was spot on, very large space to have reception and ceremony all in the barn and still have it “separated” so it feels like two different locations. Has a spot by a pond to be married as well. Jack was always responsive and very professional with any and all of our questions we had. He let us use anything he had on site, was wonderful to the bride and bridal party even opening up his own home for use. Very easy going and works with you along the way to make it as stress free as possible. Jack went above and beyond our expectations. Would highly recommend.

Best Barn Venue in Upstate NY

My now husband and I actually met at MKJ when mutual college friends got married, so when it was time for us to get hitched we couldn't think of a better place to go!

Jack and his team are amazing, and could not do more for you to help plan and make sure you have the best day possible. He was so easy to work with, and was always happy to answer any of my questions or concerns leading up to our wedding. When it came time for the big day, he was there all day and helped us switch the ceremony site from the pond to the barn because it had rained the night before and it was too wet. I gave a simple yup that is good with me, and away they went to sort it all out. And it was breathtaking! I could not have asked for a more beautiful place.

We had talked ahead of time about dancing on that gorgeous bar, and all I had to do was tell the bartender "It's Time!", and they cleared it off and we got up there and shook our booties!! It was the best. We also got married on a Friday (hello cheaper!) and we had the whole week to set up and drop things off. I hired a decorator recommended by Jack and it was awesome, I didn't have to lift a finger for set up or clean up! Jack and his team picked everything up, and while we were hung over, we went the next day and just threw it all in my car.

Because of all of these amazing things that is MKJ, Jack, and his team, you need to book this place early! Don't say no to this place just because he doesn't have your dream date available, make it work. I promise you it is worth it!! No barn in the area can beat Jack :)

Beautiful venue with an amazing owner

The venue is simply amazing. So many different location options for pictures. Also options for indoor or outdoor ceremonies. The whole venue is so beautiful inside and out. The owner is super nice and so accommodating. He made everything from all the planning, to that very day so easy. I will recommend this venue a hundred times over.

You can’t go wrong with this Venue

Oh my gosh how could we not give this 10 stars out of 5 lol. But I guess 5 will do. Outside of the beautiful bride all people have raved about is how beautiful MKJ farm is. You can’t beat the price of this place. If we did our type of wedding anywhere else it would have cost about 2-3 thousand more then what Jacks venue cost. And I will repeat this more in the review so get used it. You won’t meet a nicer down to earth guy then Jack. He answered our numerous phone calls and visits to the barn as we lived 2 hours away.

He offered to go above and beyond anything we asked for. He was awesome to deal with. Did I mention how nice and down to earth he is? I highly recommend renting the bus for your guests to use as a shuttle from the hotel to site and site to hotel. We used the Hampton inn and home wood suites for our wedding and the ride is not that bad at all.

We rented the bus and used it literally from 6:45 AM to take the grooms party golfing almost 30 mins away and back to the hotel and numerous shuttles and special trips throughout the day. We ended up having our last trip for the night around midnight. Jack even came and picked us up the next morning after the wedding to return us back to the farm to get cars left behind.

In conjunction with using MKJ farm we used the following vendors who loved working with jack and had no problems servicing the area.

We recently got married at MKJ and I don’t even know where to start with how much we loved this experience!! The owner, Jack, is amazing!! He helped through the whole process. From the first meeting, to the planning, to the dealing with the stress and anxiety any bride has for her wedding! He makes everything so easy! He provides his house to have the bridal party get ready in overlooking the beautiful barn. He will shuttle guests up in the “limo” and makes everyone feel so comfortable. During the night he checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed or wanted. That night he will pack everything up for you and place it on the bar so when you come back in the morning it’s an easy clean up. Thank you so much Jack for the best wedding experience!!

We couldn't have asked for anything more for my daughter's wedding. Jack makes the entire experience stress free, from the initial meeting, to the planning before, set-up of the venue, rehearsal and the day of the wedding. The bridal party gets ready right there in a beautiful house at the top of the hill. He steps in to do whatever whenever. He shuttles guests, lights candles, scoops ice cream if needed! Whether the wedding is outside with the pond as the backdrop or in the big beautiful barn, you will not be disappointed. He makes sure that the gifts and cards are secure (unfortunately apparently there are people who take cards knowing that there's money in them) and he cleans everything up, packs/stacks neatly for your pickup the next day. I absolutely loved this venue and the owner, jack. He plays such an important roll, he has a preferred list of vendors that he has had dealt with and had nothing but s good experience, he has options for you (fireworks, multiple ceremony spots, party bus, use of his house), he goes above and beyond. Not only did he pick up our alcohol order but he stocked the bar and had everything cold, he provided us with our liquor license as well as a bartender, he was available to answer any and all calls, knowledgeable of his venue and ideas and ways that’s worked in the past (decorating, set up..). I also loved that we had use of his house, everyone came to me. Make up, hair, family. It was so important that I wasn’t running around anymore than need be just due to the fact the day already flies to begin with. The people that help when it comes to weddings are just as nice. Everyone had a smile, everyone had a good time and everyone enjoyed the space. I would chose jack and his venue 10 times over again. He truly does it for couples happily ever after rather then to make a buck or two and it def shows! Thanks so much Jack!

We held our wedding at this venue in late July. This is by far the best place in upstate New York to hold a wedding. The scenery is absolutely amazing for pictures, the grounds are very well kept, the barn is amazing inside and out, the ceremony location at the pond is great as well. This venue overall for appearance is A+. The owner Jack, I can't say anywhere near enough good things about him. He isn't a wedding planner, but you wouldn't know that. You'd think that's his full time job with how well everything runs up there. He's always around doing things in the background to make sure your event goes as smooth as it can, but you'll hardly see him if at all. I would very highly recommend this venue to anyone solely on Jack's abilities and his attitude. Absolutely wonderful.

We are so happy we chose MKJ Farm for our July wedding! Everyone could not stop raving about how beautiful the property is. I was especially excited to be able to get some great wedding pictures with the horses. We had a perfect summer day and were able to get married by the pond, which was gorgeous. While it only seats around 75, our wedding of 150 fit comfortably with some of the younger people standing in the back. The barn itself is huge and easily fit everything we wanted, with room for a huge dance floor. The enormous bar was also really nice. There's a kitchen available for the caterer to use if needed as well. Jack, the owner, was such a pleasure to work with. He is basically your coordinator and made sure everything went smoothly, up to and including a fireworks display at the end of the night! Jack made everyone feel welcomed and at home. We were able to use his house for the bridal party to get ready, which was tremendously helpful. He was there the whole night, to help us move around the property (there's a GREAT spot for pictures a short ride up the hill), make sure we had enough to stock the bar, to help direct the vendors, etc. I really could not have asked for more and I would HIGHLY recommend MKJ Farm for any event.

I cannot say enough about this venue or the owner, Jack! We booked our wedding about a year in advance, and Jack was there to answer any and every question during that time. Texts at 10:00 pm at night, early phone calls, Jack was happy to take them all. We visited the venue several times, and Jack was always there to hang with us and answer by 42346238 questions.

The venue itself is simply wonderful. MKJ is one of the biggest barns in the area that happily fit our guests. Other barns may charge you for every little extra thing (chairs, tables, etc.) Jack has it all included in venue price. He even lets you have the ceremony there included in the price, which most barns charge you $700-$1,000 more for. He said "why would I charge you to get married here if you're going to be there anyway?" Ha! That just sums up who Jack is. The way he organizes everything for you such as the bar, pickups and drop-offs is so incredibly helpful. He works with so many amazing vendors and had great recommendations for us as we were narrowing down who we wanted to choose. There is also an option to rent a shuttle from him at a low price which was very convenient for us. He has horses too which all my guests loved.

I never once had to worry about if things would run smoothly. The day of our wedding was about 94 degrees, and I'm writing this now saying I truly wouldn't change a thing! We had an absolute bast. Jack took care of everything, and he truly has become part of the family. I had tears in my eyes saying goodbye to Jack yesterday! I am so appreciative for all of his hard work. To him, you're not a number and it's obvious by the way he makes you feel. He is simply a great person who is amazing at what he does. The venue is breathtaking, and although some other venues may have nice views as well, no one compares to the hospitality and love Jack brings. Thank you will never be enough, Jack. You've become family to us. We love you!

My husband and I got married at this venue and it was absolutely perfect! Jack was great about everything and was very flexible and accommodating with every detail from vendor recommendations to last minute decisions. It ended up raining but Jack was great about making sure we were prepared for both options and gave plenty of time to decide. Overall the venue is incredible and we knew after our first visit this was the perfect place! We highly recommend and thank Jack and his staff for everything!

My husband and I recently got married at MKJ, on May 19, 2018. We had searched high and low for a venue and were never satisfied until we found MKJ! The minute we stepped on the property and met Jack, we were in love! The barn is absolutely spectacular and Jack is the absolute best!! He will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and pleased! He is so friendly and kind and selfless! He lent my bridal party and I his house on the property to get ready and it was perfect! We had plenty of room and everyone was able to get their hair and makeup done and get dressed all in one place. We didn’t have to travel or anything to get to the ceremony! On the day of our wedding it poured in the morning and I was devastated but Jack assured me that it would all be fine and he set up the ceremony space inside the barn and made it look amazing! I was actually grateful it rained because the space was so gorgeous and intimate. I could go on for days about how stunning the barn is! It’s unique, spacious, rustic, and authentic. Our guests are still raving about it. It was such an amazing day and having it at MKJ Farms really made it so much more special! If you’re looking for a barn type venue, stop looking because MKJ is the best place to have it!!

Jack has a beautiful spot of heaven at MKJ. We got married by the pond and it was just gorgeous. In fact, I realized about an hour before the ceremony was to start that no one had decorated that area (We handled all of that with the help of friends and Family) and he immediately went out to handle it for us! He went out of his way to be helpful not o ly to us, but to our guests. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect place or perfect person to work with!!! Go check out MKJ! You won't be sorry!!

AMAZING! If I had one word to describe this venue, experience and the owner (Jack) it would be amazing! My husband and I wanted a romantic outdoor wedding and the barn was perfect! Jack couldn't have been any more accommodating, responsive and overall helpful. He made sure everything was taken care of and made wedding planning and the wedding day less stressful. Jack, not only handled everything as it pertained to the venue but actively coordinated with our other vendors to lighten our workload. He has extensive connections in the area that make finding all the right pieces that much easier (and more affordable). The way that he handled us, our wedding party, our friends and our family was with the utmost professionalism and on numerous occasions went above and beyond to ensure us and our guests had the experience we always dreamed of. He is a genuine human being who takes great pride in ensuring this special day is perfect and we can't thank him enough for achieving just that for us. His kindness and generosity started from the minute we met him and extended through the days and weeks following the completion of the wedding. Working with Jack at MKJ Farms was the easiest part of our wedding. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly what we were expecting. We planned our wedding in Deansboro mainly from New Jersey. Jack made everything seamless and simple. When were in town he would let us swing by and discuss options. The day of was perfect, when little things came up (like a sprinkle of rain) he handled everything and gave us some options for our cocktail hour. In the end our day was even more than we could have imagined. The venue was perfect, if you're looking for a wedding location and reception all in one MKJ is the place to be!

This is an excellent place for a wedding. After the wedding, our limo never showed up, it got chilly out, and the owner invited us to his house to wait for the bus to come back and get us (there were at least 15 of us). You can't ask for a better host! Everything was beautiful!!

The owner of MKJ Farms is absolutely amazing! He opens up his property to you the entire day of your wedding. To his house, the ceremony site, the barn, his horses, everything. Don't go anywhere else besides here. This venue is amazing! Let's start off with the good stuff. First and foremost it is absolutely breathtaking at the farm! The barn is huge! We had 240 people at our wedding and we had plenty of room to move around and a huge area for the dance floor. And speaking of huge, the barn has a 19 foot bar, kitchen which your catering company can use, and a separate room for a just in case situation if it rains you can have your ceremony in the separate room. But if you are as lucky as my wife and I were the best location for the ceremony is at the pond. Now the pond is on a hill but don't let that scare you off! The owner has a nice size golf cart that he uses to transport people from the parking area to the pond. Every one at the wedding loved it! The seating at the pond fits 75 people and there is plenty of standing room in the back of the seating area if you need more room. The view is breathtaking as you have beautiful hills in the background. But if I haven't convinced you to have it here yet let's talk about Jack, the owner. Once we met Jack we knew we had our venue! This man is absolutely fantastic! He will go way above and beyond to make sure your day is amazing! Before the wedding if you have any questions day or night he tells you do not hesitate to contact him. I would call with a question at 1 am - 4 am some times and he would call me back as soon as possible which would be just a few hours later. The day of he opens up his home for you to use. He makes you feel like you're part of the family, and during the reception he makes your family feel like family. Everyone loved it and loved him! Don't go anywhere else, because here, they've got it all, and more!

The owner, Jack was AMAZING. He made sure I had everything I could have possibly dreamed of on my wedding day. He wasn't just a vendor, he became our friend throughout the process. His home is your home, and your day is his priority. We couldn't have asked for a better day, the weather wasn't cooperating with us but he reassured me the entire day and it ended up being beautiful, beyond any expectations! BOOK AT MKJ! As the mother of the bride, Jack took care of every need of the bride and bridal party. He was outstanding to work with and I would recommend him for any event. He was very accommodating of all of the guests, and transported everyone from the ceremony to the reception. The onsite bridal suite made getting ready a very simple process. Jack let us have complete freedom when it came to decorating, including using what he had if we wanted. The icing on the cake was that Jack completes the cleanup process and we didn't have to worry about a thing afterwards! On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give Jack an 11!!

Jack and the staff were able to play an important role in our wedding day! The guests all loved the barn and the drinks, and so did we! Also, Jack can get the liquor license and picks up all of the beverages for you and takes care of them the day of the wedding! The best part is that after the party was over, we didn't have to do any clean up, they took care of all of it so we could continue to start off our marriage as relaxed and happy as possible!

I can't say enough great things about MKJ Farms and it's owner, Jack. We had our wedding there this past weekend and it was a truly amazing venue. Jack was always available to contact throughout the year of planning, allowing us to visit the venue whenever we were passing through. He helped a tremendous amount with everything from hiring babysitters for guests children to finding local vendors that fit our tastes to providing a comfortable location for the bridal party to get ready the day of the wedding. The barn is huge, and absolutely beautiful; it's strung with lights throughout and there are horses galloping outside. While we got married in a seperate ceremony room in the barn (easily held 200), there is also a location by their pond if you're interested in getting married outdoors. If you're looking for flexibility (particularly with finding your own vendors), a absolutely beautiful location, and a fun venue where the party goes on late into the night, this is it.

After visiting MKJ farm and meeting Jack we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. Jack was extremely helpful throughout the planning process. He was always available to answer questions and give suggestions to us. Throughout the day of our wedding, he was there to guide us and make sure our day ran smoothly. When the officiant wasn't available to do the rehearsal, he dis it for us. He was there to send us off 1 by 1 down the "aisle". When we ran out of liquor, he went and picked more up for us... When we couldn't find the keys to our car he offered to help get the doors open. He truly went above and beyond to ensure that our day was a complete success. All the guest were so please with how everything went, we were even asked multiple times if we knew Jack personally. We do not, but that's how much effort he puts into everything. He made me feel so special on our day. Besides getting a beautiful venue for a great price, you get an amazing person who genuinely cares about your day and make sure it is everything you hoped and dreamed it could be.

Choosing MKJ Farm was one of the best decisions of my life (behind marrying my husband of course!) Jack, the owner, goes above and beyond for all of his guests! He welcomes you into his home with no requests except to "please make yourself at home". Mind you this isn't just any home! It has an open floor plan with large glass windows everywhere so no matter where you are in the house you have spectacular views. Massive glass sliding windows open up to a wraparound deck overlooking the farm and the valley.As if that wasn't enough, he also has horses he brings out to a fenced in area between the barn and his house . So many guest commented on the horses! How beautiful and sweet they were! Many even posed with them for pics! They were a big hit with both and the children and the adults!
The pond area for the ceremony is to die for! Large willow trees and hanging paper lanterns make for the most magical setting. There's a dock for the wedding party and a birch arch for the couple to stand under which allows the guests to still take in those stunning views! After the ceremony Jack uses his "redneck limo" to escort older guests down the the barn.
The barn comes pre-lit with string lights and paper lanterns and Jack let's you add whatever your heart desires! Anything he has he lets you use! This includes decor that has been left over from previous weddings! Which saves you the hassle and expense!
Halfway through the reception we ran out of beer and Jack was quick to let us know and run out for us! He really makes this whole place worthwhile! His fun-loving, easy going personality keeps the bride and groom at ease. I really feel like we came in as strangers and left as family! Thank you so much Jack! You and this farm will always have a special place in our hearts!

**From a groom's perspective... MJK Farms is a wonderful place to have a wedding. If you're the type of couple looking for a laid-back and informal type of celebratory affair, then the barn is the best place to do so. Jack (the owner) works hard to maintain a very relaxed atmosphere so that his facilitating behind-the-scenes makes everything easy for the bride and groom. My wife had a image in mind that she wanted for her wedding day, and I was just happy to know that Jack could help accommodate her in achieving this... the pictures around the barn and view overlooking the valley atop the hill by pond made everybody comment on how beautiful and fitting it was for such an occasion, and Jack even brought out his horses for the kids to pet and take photos with, which proved to be very a wonderful bonus. Barn is plenty large enough for dancing, conversation, and hanging at the bar, and when I needed to catch my breath and escape the crowd I simply walked out by the grass to play frisbee or admire the horses. At one point in the night we ran out of beer, and without asking Jack made a trip to the store for us. He is extremely helpful and very friendly and only wants to help make your day as perfect as possible and does everything in his power to make it go according to your plans. I highly recommend MJK Farms to any couples who may be looking for something a bit different. It is decorated very appropriately in a rustic but very elegant way, and Jack will insist on the wedding party taking his "redneck limo" for a spin, a fun lil vehicle that he motors all over the property to help transport the older guests to and from the ceremony to barn/reception area. Very considerate, very polite and pleasant. The night was as perfect as could be, and again, this is coming from a guy. So really, my bride was happy, so I was happy, because Jack made it possible. And very affordable as well when compared with other venues.

We were married at MKJ Farm on June 30, 2017 and couldn't have been happier! The weather did not cooperate and there were last minute changes that had to be made on our big day, but everything was taken care of and our wedding was beautiful. My husband and I were recently married at this amazing venue on June 10th of 2017. From the first time we saw the venue in October of 2015 until the day we got married, I knew it was the perfect rustic venue we were looking for. Jack is an exceptional guy to work with and he bent over backwards to ensure that everything was perfect for our special day. Everyone loved the barn and the beautiful property he has. It was a beautiful ceremony next to the pond and an unforgettable reception in the barn. The whole bridal party had the opportunity to get hair and makeup done right at the house on the property which made it that much more convienent and stress free. Every request we had was accomodated without a problem and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! This is where you want to have your wedding. I kind of want to get married again just so we can work with Jack and his excellent team for a second time. To say that Jack goes above and beyond to make sure you have the perfect day is an understatement. These people are true professionals, and they're also extremely nice and tons of fun. For all brides and grooms to be- get married here, listen to their advice, take their suggestions, and appreciate how flexible and accommodating they are. There is no problem they can't solve and their generosity and really goes beyond anything you'd anticipate from a wedding venue. From our very first meeting with Jack we felt as though he was the guy to help us achieve a fun, easy, laid back, stress free wedding day. He more than lived up to those expectations. He goes out of his way to make sure you are happy and relaxed and can focus on the important things, like each other and having a great time with your guests. He has great relationships with all the people you would need for food, drink, music, ceremony, and pictures. He and Lori Ann are always there for any question you have.

As for the barn and property, the look of it is really only limited by your imagination. It has a great look overall to begin with, and then Jack will set things up any way you want, and let you have any kind of decor you want. We intended to have our ceremony outdoors, but the weather wasn't cooperating, so we moved it in doors and never missed a beat. There ceremony and reception memorable and fun, and stress free.

October 22, 2016-My daughters wedding 4:30 pm. Weather was a nightmare (RAIN), BUT you would never know it, the wedding was inside and was absolutely beautiful!! The guests had a great time dancing and just got lost in the fun! From the moment my daughter and son in law visited Jack, the owner of MKJ Farms, they knew immediately where they wanted to have their wedding! Jack was helpful provided the tables and chairs, the lights and was very easy to work with. Anytime I needed to call him with a question, he answered right away! Jack provided his home for the wedding party to get ready, which was such a key component when making the decision to get married at MKJ Farms, as most everybody attending the wedding, including the bride and groom, lived an hour away! Another plus is that Jack has a big van to drive guests to and from the wedding. It put our minds at peace knowing that there would be NO drinking and driving!! The couple plans a 1 year anniversary picture back at MKJ in hopes of a beautiful fall day! Thank-you, Jack, Frank and Lori Ann and Lori Ann's daughter.

We were married 10/1/2016. We only had our reception at the venue. From the moment I saw it I knew it was where I wanted to have our reception. Many of the barns in the area cannot accommodate a large wedding. We had approx 250 guests and one of my main concerns was to not be crowded. This barn allowed ample space for all my guests. Jack, the owner, will help you from start to finish. He is knowledgeable and never makes you feel like you are bothering him. He wants your day to be awesome and does everything he can to ensure that. We were married at a church in my hometown and then went directly to the barn to take advantage of the amazing backdrops for photos. Jack will take you anywhere on the property you want to go. He opens his home to you whether you just have to pee or need to make a stiff drink and relax on the deck. He will set the barn up however you want and takes care of clean up. If you are looking for a rustic, country, spacious place to seal the deal I would absolutely recommend this venue.

For the short amount of time we had to plan, finding MKJ on wedding wire was a blessing. The response time from the owner was fast. After many venues either never called back. My husband and I wanted an outdoor wedding, when we saw the pond it was EXACTLY what we were looking for. The scenery is just impeccable, breathtaking, and highlights why upstate NY is a gem. Jack the owner is friendly, and genuinely cares how your special day pans out. He gave us advise that certainly helped in our planning process. Overall this place is worth the time and the money!

Not only was this a beautiful setting with a HUGE barn for your reception, the owner was phenomenal and made the day 100 times better! Jack was running around with my family with last minute set-ups and even had to make a trip to the store for something we didn't have. We just had our wedding reception and ceremony on site at MKJ July 24th 2016. It was absolutely the most beautiful setting for our barn wedding! . I. My guests had a blast! He operated the shuttle which we rented for the day ( great idea for the wedding day and worth every penny at only 600$) and gave most of the guests a hillbilly limo ride as he called it!

We found this venue on wedding wire and from the first sight, we knew we would have our wedding there We can't say enough about the owner Jack Bushman, he has been there for us every step of the way.

Highly recommend to anyone considering that unique atmosphere for their special day!

We had our wedding at MKJ Farm on July 15, 2016. It was the most beautiful venue. Jack and his staff was so accommodating and friendly. Anybody thing we needed, big or little, they did it. It ended up raining and soaked the seats by the pond, so Jack and everyone set up a barrel for the ceremony quickly in the barn. One of our favorite parts was going inside the fence to pet the horses and take photos with them. I would highly recommend the shuttle too! Our guests were so thankful for it. I just had my wedding at MKJ three days ago. Jack is awesome. He handles everything on the day of the wedding and really tries to help make it the best day of your life. His staff are extremely friendly and professional. The venue is gorgeous with numerous photo opportunities. He even picked up all of our beer from a nearby store before the ceremony and when we ran out of certain types of liquor, he made a trip to buy more for us. Top notch venue and owner. If you choose MKJ, you will not be sorry!

You cannot find a better venue & owner than MKJ farm/Jack. From beginning to end, Jack was beyond helpful and responsive. He is so laid back which is just what I was looking for. I had open creative freedom and he was more than willing to help with ANYTHING. He opens both his house and venue to all. We were able to get ready in his house on the hill which is gorgeous with the most amazing view. I got to hang out with horses on my wedding day and so much more (I won't ruin any surprises if you go with this venue). It was the best day of my life and it was everything I dreamt of and SO MUCH MORE. I wish it could have lasted longer. Love MKJ, Love Jack and you will too.

Jack was great to work with. He addressed every concern we voiced and was extremely accommodating. He gave us plenty of time to set up, and the day of the wedding he checked with us several times throughout the day to see if we needed anything. I don't think you will find anyone easier to work with and more friendly.

Let me just start out by Saying JACK is the BEST !!! He is not only great to work with but he is there for from start to finish!! anything and everything you need he has a solution for you!! We ran out of cranberry juice 2x at the bar and with out any questions jack ran to the store and got more! Working with him truly made my wedding the BEST OF MY LIFE!! I highly recommend JACK and MKJ FARMS!!!!

The venue is spacious and beautiful. Jack, the owner, will help you transform the barn into whatever you want it to be. He makes sure everything behind the scenes runs smooth so that you don't have to worry. We ran out of gin and Jack was back with more before anyone even noticed. Not only does he own the barn, but he becomes your coordinator for the day. We were able to sit back and relax knowing he was there. I would highly recommend this venue.
