LaDarius was such a pleasure to work with! The form he has you fill out before your event on preferences is incredibly thorough while still giving him room to do his job as a DJ; allowing him to make certain game time decisions based on the vibe in the moment.
A goal of mine for our wedding was that I wanted people on the dance floor all night, and LaDarius made that happen. The dance floor was not bare once. We had countless people come up to us during the wedding asking “WHO is this DJ??” One of my aunts said it was the best DJ she’d ever heard and this woman goes to a lot of weddings. A friend of mine and his partner booked LaDarius for their wedding next year after experiencing his set at our own wedding. He’s incredible. You will not be disappointed. He even dressed up as cupid for our Valentine’s Day wedding without us even asking him to. 10/10 would book again. -

We’re talking crystal-clear audio, concert-level lighting, and a vibe that pulled everyone onto the dance floor and kept them there. No dead zones, no awkward pauses—just straight fire from start to finish.
He wasn’t just spinning tracks—he was reading the room, hyping the crowd, and making every moment feel intentional and elevated. Every transition—whether it was our special dance, the live singer, or even the epic fireworks finale—was seamless. No stress, no missteps, just smooth coordination that made the whole event feel cinematic.

LaDarius was our DJ for our wedding Mar. 30, 2025. The planning process with him was great from the initial call where he met us and our planner through the final call to walk through final ceremony and reception details.
We had a very specific vision for our wedding and the music was a key part of that. LaDarius helped bring that vision to life by listening and connecting with us to understand what we wanted and making suggestions with his expertise to make the little (but important) touches possible the way we envisioned. We wanted our guest to have a great time dancing with a playlist that fit our personalities, and they did just that.
Every couple will have different wants and needs for their wedding, and I have no doubt that LaDarius can help achieve them. It was clear that was his goal instead of presenting a package of options and pressing play on those options.
LaDarius is truly a genuine person that you can entrust with your wedding. We could not endorse him more. -

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! Not only did LaDarius perfectly curate music to our wide variety of genre preferences, but his professionalism shined through every step of the way. Starting with our initial call I was incredible impressed by his organization and as someone who is equally organized I loved to see how thorough his pre-wedding questionnaire was. One of my biggest fears was having a dead dance floor and LaDarius was able to keep everyone dancing all night long. We cannot recommend enough! -

Could not say enough wonderful things about LaDarius and MixWire Productions!! From day 1 he was personable, professional and responsive. He really listened to all of our requests - but also took our ideas and spun them into a whole new light and created such a wonderful, fun party vibe for our wedding. Everyone was on the dance floor by the end of the night and we had an absolute blast. He also did a wonderful job emceeing and kept the day running smoothly. Would rate 10000 stars if I could! -

One of our goals for our wedding was to be on the dance floor all night, and Kenny made that a reality! He really listened to what we wanted our reception to be like and integrated our style of music well. Both he and Ladarius were very communicative and organized throughout the entire planning process. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music/sound went flawlessly thanks to Kenny. We got introduced to LaDarius by our wedding coordinator, and we are so, so thankful that we got to work with him! He immediately made us feel comfortable and made the entire booking process super easy. He was super receptive what we had in mind for our day (we aren’t big-entrance-announcement/center of attention type of people and decided not to do some of the more heteronormative wedding traditions like the bouquet/garter toss), and he brought our reception together so well. He was great at guiding folks to where they needed to be and was a great resource, but was on the mic just enough so that it didn’t feel like he was talking over the party. He played such a great variety of songs, was really great about switching things up when he heard a lull, and absolutely turned the party! All of our guests, including our parents, couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful he was. LaDarius is a *professional* and we would recommend working with him to absolutely everyone!! -

LaDarius was awesome to work with! He provided a questionnaire that covered so many things I would have never considered. He was responsive to my questions/ concerns. We had a zoom call roughly 2 weeks before the wedding to discuss specifics. All of the above really helped ease my anxious mind. On our wedding day he showed up and showed out, despite recovering from a recent major injury. He was fun and encouraged our guests to get out on the dance floor. I would absolutely recommend MixWire for your wedding entertainment needs! -

I highly recommend booking DJ LaDarius with MixWire Productions for your entire wedding. He executed all the complicated music cues flawlessly, brought such fun energy to the dance floor that kept people dancing all night and was very communicative during the planning process! We got Married April 15, 2023 and we still have people telling us how much fun they had at our wedding. DJ LaDarius played a huge part in the good vibes and how smoothly the wedding flowed. LaDarius was our DJ and he did a great job! He worked with us ahead of time, asking about the vibe we were going for and sending us a pre-made reception playlist that we then could add to and subtract from. He did a great job with song and speech transitions and everything he played was great for the mood and for keeping people on the dance floor. -

Absolutely amazing
WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE LADARIUS AND MIXWIRE PRODUCTIONS! Not only did Ladarius provide AMAZING music throughout cocktail hour and the reception, he also was willing to create a "remix" father daughter dance for my dad and I, which everyone LOVED! Ladarius was able to create a custom logo to project on the wall of our venue and provided big foam glow sticks for the dance party! Ladarius is so easy to work with and is wonderful at communicating! He gave us an easy questionnaire to fill out in the beginning that helped us figure out what music choices we needed to make and when we couldn't decide he was able to help! Everyone should use Ladarius/MixWire Productions for every wedding/party! I definitely will use him again! -

We booked Mixwire Pro for our Chicago wedding, and let me tell you--it was one of the best decisions we made. Initially booking him for our Sept. 2020 wedding, we had to postpone due to covid. LaDarius was super accommodating with postponing and even virtually DJ-ed our backyard minimony that year. Fast forward to Sept. 2021, LaDarius helped put on a spectacular Chicago Wedding for us. Throughout the entire process, LaDarius really listened to our vision for our wedding and went above and beyond to not only execute that vision, but take it to the next level. The music, production, and photo booth (big crowd pleaser) were top notch! He also very professionally worked with some family members who wanted to play live music at our wedding. There were several guests asking who our DJ was for their future events and many people overall complimenting how spectacular of a job he did. Would 100% recommend! -

If you a searching for a professional, knowledgeable DJ with an amazing ability to fire up the crowd- look no further! LaDarius was absolutely outstanding for our 8/14/21 wedding. He was very sweet, responded to all emails and correspondence very promptly, extremely professional to work with. We had to reschedule our event multiple times due to Covid- and he was accommodating to every date change. We did not want the stereotypical “cheesy” DJ experience. MixWire Productions was the total opposite- He asked us what we wanted, met with the bride to see what vibe she wanted, and was able to accommodate every request we made. I cannot say enough about LaDarius Thomas as a DJ- Save yourself time and stress and book him now!! -

LaDarius was the best wedding DJ I could have asked for. He's extremely talented at mixing and keeping the party going. Some relatives I never thought I'd see dancing were on the floor all night.
LaDarius offers very reasonably priced packages and works with you to develop a personalized playlist. He has great equipment and doesn't overcharge for dance lighting which is unique. Overall, you can't go wrong with LaDarius / MixWire! -

I could not have asked for a better DJ than LaDarius. Everything was perfect at my wedding thanks to him. LaDarius crushes it this past weekend at our wedding! I am very indecisive and he was so patient with me and my music selections. He took all of my suggestions and made it work flawlessly. He knows how to read the crowd and keep the dancing going all night long. My mom and I even asked him to help us get a confetti cannon for when we kiss, and he pulled it off perfectly. He went above and beyond our expectations and smiled through the heat. We loved having him be a part of our big day! Highly recommend! -

Luckily, we ended up choosing the most amazing DJ!!! LaDarius played the best music (a mix of both new stuff and things to get the older people on the dance floor), was the perfect MC, and even broke out some amazing dance moves on the dance floor! Marjorie Sent on 04/19/2018MixWire Productions worked with us on our wedding in Atlanta on October 15, 2016. Ladarius was amazing from the start. We were unsure of what to expect with hiring a DJ, but Ladarius was very professional and so easy to work with. We used Mixwire Productions for both our ceremony and reception. A few months before the event, Ladarius sent us a very detailed worksheet inquiring about the artist/song/version of the song we wanted for each part of the wedding. The worksheet covered every aspect of the wedding, from the procession, the father daughter dance song to cake cutting! And don't worry if you can't think of any songs for certain aspects of your wedding! We trusted Ladarius to fill in the blanks for areas we honestly didn't care about and he delivered! His set up is very professional and looks amazing! And he had everyone on the dance floor all night! We had the best time! Since my wedding, I have always referred MixWire Productions to any of my friends planning an event or looking for a DJ. As you can tell from the pictures, we did not go wrong and trust me, you will not either!

I really liked his style and thought he made it fun for everybody there. My husband is very particular about his music and he was also very pleased with the outcome.
