We had a fantastic experience with Mixed Elements to DJ our wedding, and would absolutely recommend them. Brandon (the owner) was incredibly communicative throughout the process. Every time we emailed with a question, he got back to us promptly, without exception. He was also extremely organized and sent a thorough questionnaire ahead of time that made planning easy, and Jen (who DJ’d our wedding day) followed it to a T on the day itself. Jen was also flexible and accommodating later in the night when the dance floor thinned out a bit, happily taking ongoing song requests and keeping the energy up for the people who were still dancing. She and her assistant were both extremely fun to chat with and coordinated well with our planner during the wedding day. If you want a DJ team that’s professional, responsive, and really fun, Mixed Elements is a great choice!

Mixed Elements is AWESOME! We planned our wedding in less than 3 months and they were extremely flexible and responsive when it came to working on a time crunch. Our ceremony music was absolutely beautiful and Brandon and Jen are so much fun to be around - they made everyone super comfortable getting up to dance during our reception and did a great job playing to everyone's reaction. 100% recommend them for any event you may be planning!!!

Brandon was an absolute delight to work with and our guests only had great things to say. He played the perfect type of music based on the few must plays we gave him. He was also great at announcing when things were going to be happening and we could also count on him to keep us as on schedule as possible. Brandon was so great to talk to and plan with, answered all of our questions patiently and was so organized. We had the best wedding day with Jen!!!! Brandon MC'd and DJ'd our wedding in Charlottesville, VA in Sept '23. He was very thoughtful and professional throughout the planning process. He outlined multiple package options depending on how many mics and setups we needed at different price points. He had a great questionnaire that got to our music preferences, no details missed. As part of the process before the wedding he provides a questionnaire for the couple to complete that is very well thought out and included all the little details that I wouldn’t think of and offered great suggestions as well. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to work with Brandon and Jen; they’re the best! If you are looking for a wedding DJ that caters to your needs, responds to emails promptly, and most importantly knows how to get the dance floor bumpin, look no further! We connected with Brandon through his local trivia nights and enjoyed his friendly and fun demeanor immediately. Leading up to our wedding day, I probably emailed Brandon 50 plus times and he responded with kindness and excitement each time. He helped with timing and fading suggestions for our dances and made sure it fit what we were looking for!
On our wedding day, he worked with our other vendors and coordinator to make sure our guests were fed and directed properly through our timeline. It was such a joy to hear the songs we sent over on a list throughout dinner and then when it was time to get on the dance-floor! My legs were truly sore the next day because I spent so much time dancing the night away with our guests!
In addition, his LED light poles were the perfect fit for the dance barn we held our reception in. My Dad (Father of the bride) even turned the overhead lights off a few times because he so enjoyed the ambience they created! Thank you again Brandon for fulfilling each one of our requests!

My husband and I used Mixed Elements Entertainment for our wedding this past Saturday (11/05/2022)! Brandon and his wife were AMAZING! I found Mixed Elements on theknot.com when our search for wedding vendors began in November 2020. Brandon is SUPER easy to work with from the first inquiry through the planning process and up to the end of the night on our big day! He didn't miss a question, was extremely friendly, professional, and always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. I am a huge dancer and love to bust a move but the fact that my husband didn't leave the dance floor the entire night says A LOT about Mixed Element Entertainment. Highly recommend using Brandon and his wife as a vendor for any celebration, you wouldn't be let down!

You need to hire Mixed Elements for your wedding or event!
I would absolutely recommend Mixed Elements Entertainment to any future couple planning a wedding (or other event)! Before the wedding, Brandon was always quick to respond with thoughtful responses whenever I had a question or needed to brainstorm ideas. He was very helpful in creating a day-of timeline and was a huge part of making sure our day ran smoothly. He also emailed a questionnaire for us to complete prior to the wedding which included all important times/songs/moments. I really appreciated that all of this information was in one defined place. Brandon has great experience DJ’ing for weddings and it really showed on our day! He arrived right on time to get set up in both the ceremony and reception locations and he was very professional when interacting with our guests. He kept the dance floor hopping all night which I really appreciated! We had a relatively small wedding and I was worried that people would not want to dance for very long, but we danced our hearts out all night long to some great music! We also enjoyed playing the shoe game during the reception, which got lots of laughs from ourselves and our guests. We were very happy with his service and we would absolutely hire him again, and we would not hesitate to recommend him for any future wedding!

Brandon was a total pleasure to work with and really made our wedding run smoothly. He was so communicative leading up to the big day which was so helpful and he did a great job working with my now husband who had lots and lots of requests for some less than mainstream music 🙃 Brandon also provided tons of really helpful recommendations in terms of the schedule of events and music selections. Brandon is amazing! Leading up to our wedding day, he was super responsive and prompt in communicating with us. He clearly communicated all of his services and optional add-ons so that we could pick and choose what we wanted/needed to make our day perfect. We changed our minds quite a few times on some things through out the planning process and he was extremely flexible and accommodating to our requests. On the day of our wedding, he was extremely professional and exceeded our expectations! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and the transitions in-between were extremely smooth. He MC'd and connected with our guests amazingly! In lieu of pre-selecting a large list of must play songs, we explained that we trusted him to read our guests and read the event to decide what music to play and he certainly did not disappoint. Hire Brandon if you know what's good for you and your event!

Brandon was so amazing to work with! We started our wedding planning journey with him a year before our actual wedding and he was super responsive to every question or idea we had along the whole process. He always emails/responds back quickly and is so easy to work with. We also loved meeting him in person before the wedding day to run through all the details and ask any questions we may have. The ceremony was beautiful and went so smoothly. The dance floor was always full and Brandon knows how to keep the crowd going! I would 100000% recommend his services for any wedding or special event!

Brandon was awesome to work with from day 1. He was communicative and 100% got the vibe we were going for. We had a couple of bridesmaids sing one song live and he was proactive about communicating with them separately and bouncing ideas around with them about how to make everything flow smoothly. He also stuck to our timeline (and our “do not play list” 😂) and made sure the whole day went off without a hitch! Our guests danced the night away and we got compliments about how great and fun the music was. So happy we booked Brandon for our wedding!!

Brandon is amazing ! He is so responsive to all emails and texts. Within 24 hours, most of the time it was in minutes! He was so sweet and helpful the day of my wedding day! Brandon was super awesome from my initial planning research to wedding day! He was always super responsive, informative, and helpful. Brandon was awesome! So responsive and detail oriented. He kept the party going and had people dancing for hours! Would 100% hire again!
He was great with my guests, gives a detailed list of questions for how we want things, and did more than just play some songs we picked.
We had him for an additional hour than the original contract, but easy fee to pay and well worth it.
He also was super helpful and easy to work with when we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID!

What a special night!
DJ Brandon was awesome! He helped me months before our wedding to plan every song and every dance exactly how we wanted it. He was extremely responsive and helpful when asked for recommendations. The day of the wedding he was set up and ready to go well before the events started and he made sure to touch base with us throughout the night to assure everything was flowing well and that we were on time with all of our events. He has done events at Castle Hill before so everything flowed really well. I definitely would recommend him to anyone needing a DJ in the area!

We absolutely loved Brandon and his wife! He is incredibly organized and keeps you on top of everything--I am so thankful because I always need all the help that I can get with this! Even with me dragging my feet and being indecisive at times, Brandon was always kindly checking in and helping me choose/giving suggestions. Brandon and his wife Jen were INCREDIBLE! They have all five star reviews for a reason. Not only was Brandon so on top of things and such a helpful resource during the planning process, him and his wife have such great energy and kept the dance floor full the entire night! We ended up with a Sunday wedding after postponing our initial date and you would’ve thought it was a Friday or Saturday night with the atmosphere at our reception. He played our song requests at the perfect times throughout the night and everything flowed so nicely. He also helped my uncle get everything set up to perform live music during our ceremony. We hired Brandon for our July 16th wedding and we’re blown away with his performance. Brandon was very thorough throughout the planning process and offered great suggestions that I would never have come up with on my own. Several of our guests later told us how impressed they were with our DJ! He kept the dance floor going the entire night (even though it was a dry wedding)! 100% recommend! I don't have enough good things to say about Brandon and Jen! Brandon had a prior engagement and checked with us first if we would mind having his wife Jen dj our wedding, she was great! There was never any miscommunication and Brandon was always getting in touch with me to make sure I stayed on track with my wedding timeline (it was hard to remember to sit down and look at songs when so much else had to be planned). He was always quick to respond and helpful with his answers. Brandon and Jen are super easy to get along with and that made all the difference, with them I felt more of a friend and not just another wedding. Thank you Jen and Brandon!

Keeps the Party Going!
My husband and I got married on June 19th, 2021 and were recommended to Mixed Elements through our venue. Brandon set up mics for the ceremony, played music during the cocktail hour, and created the best dance party we could have asked for. He did an amazing job as an MC and it is obvious that he really loves his job as well. Our friends love to dance and his ability to read the feel of the party and keep it going was amazing!! With little to no guidance from my husband and I, Brandon facilitated what my friends are now calling "the wedding dance party of the year"! Brandon made our day one to remember and we are so thankful for his talent!

Hands Down The Best Experience!
I could not imagine that I would have a DJ that was also my wedding planner! They took exceptionally great care of us. Jen was our DJ and she was the bomb/amazing! My husband’s family had never seen him dance before and he danced the entire night! Brandon’s feedback and responsiveness was probably the best I EVER experienced with any company! I did read the reviews before we hired them and I was shocked that they were actually a 6/5!

Where do I even begin?? Brandon and his wife were AMAZING and went above and beyond at our wedding on June 21st. If you are looking for a DJ who is friendly, easy to work with, has great communication, and really does check off all the boxes, Mixed Elements Entertainment is for you!
Brandon made time out of his busy DJ and work schedule to not only make my Monday morning wedding work but also made the time to meet at my venue the Friday before to walk through the set up (he had 4 weddings that weekend alone!!)
On the actual wedding day, everyone was raving about the songs that were played, singing along throughout the reception, and although our wedding was a dry wedding, we even had dancing at the end all thanks to the fun music played!
Thank you thank you thank you to Brandon and Mixed Elements Entertainment. Seriously, there is a reason he books up so fast! I could not recommend him enough.

Hire Brandon!
Brandon was great throughout the whole process and killed it on the day of! If you're a very particular bride (like me) and want to have a lot of creative control over the playlists he will be very glad to accommodate. As he said to me in our initial conversation, it's not about him, it's about you and what you want for your big day. He played everything exactly how/when I requested, killed all of the introductions and special announcements and was overall a joy to work with. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!!

Perfect and exceeded my expectations!
Brandon was so easy to work with, very responsive, and super understanding. Not only did he provide the perfect atmosphere for our wedding, he did so without having met us before the day-of! (Thanks COVID…) It’s hard to know what you’re getting into when you just communicate through email but Brandon exceeded my expectations! He followed our music requests and knew how to keep people on the dance floor. He was very adaptable when we had to alter the timeline of the evening slightly, making it seem like that was the plan all along! If you’re looking for a nice, respectful, and easy to work with DJ who knows what he’s doing and how to keep people dancing then go with Mixed Elements!

We hired Mixed Elements Entertainment for our wedding this past weekend (6/19/21) at Lydia Mountain Lodge in Stanardsville, VA.
Brandon & Jen did not disappoint! If we have another event in the future, they will be the first on our list. My communication/planning was with Brandon but Jen was there day of. Jen DJ’d from pre-ceremony until last dance at the reception and she was awesome!

Wonderful experience!
We hired Mixed Elements Entertainment for our wedding last weekend (6/12/21). Brandon did the majority of the communication leading up to the wedding and was very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process! Jen DJ’ed the wedding and did an amazing job! Everything flowed so smoothly, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding! The music selection that Jen played was great, and definitely reflected our music taste that we had discussed. Leading up to the wedding, I wasn’t sure that our guests would dance, but Jen got so many people on the dance floor and we all had such a great time! From the romantic walk down the aisle to the speeches. The dinner music and ramping things up to dance time. Brandon did a FLAWLESS job with our wedding!!

We could not have picked a better DJ for our wedding on 11/14/2020! Brandon was amazing through the whole process! Every single detail even down to when I wanted to start the song walking back down the aisle with my new husband was perfect! Brandon checked in with me multiple times through the whole process from start to finish and always was there to answer questions. He checked in with me multiple times in the week leading up to my wedding to make sure everything was still good. All my family and friends had such a great time and the shoe game was the best!! Brandon was so lovely to work with, always quick to respond, and did an incredible job providing the music for the ceremony and reception. Brandon was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. He was extremely professional but also very down to earth. Mixed Elements Entertainment is extremely professional and Brandon is AMAZING. He worked with us every step of the way to ensure our event was a huge success. I wish all of our vendors were as responsive and helpful. My daughter had to reschedule her wedding due to the pandemic and Brandon was very understanding about that. He was very accommodating with our changes in days and times and did everything he could to take care of us. Mixed Elements went above and beyond not only prior to our event, but also during the wedding. Our special day was flawless and not only did we have a fantastic time, so did our guests. There were many compliments throughout the night about how great the music was. We highly recommend Brandon and will not hesitate to hire Mixed Elements again in the future.
