The most unique & personal ceremony with Jill Englund

I can’t even count the number of compliments we received on our ceremony. Many of our loved ones said it was the most personal, unique ceremony they have ever been to, and that is all thanks to Jill.

Jill helped us navigate and blend so many different wishes for our wedding ceremony, like balancing religious and non-religious elements. My husband’s family is Spanish-speaking, and Jill helped us infuse some bilingual elements into our ceremony, as well — even learning some Spanish herself for our vows! At her suggestion, we honored both of our parents with a rose in honor of their longstanding marriages, and that was one of the most special parts of the ceremony, very meaningful and unique. My most favorite part of the ceremony was the Love Story. Jill worked with us separately as we wrote out answers to some questions about our relationship, and then Jill fused our stories and told them in real-time during the ceremony, keeping our reflections private from each other until that moment. It was so touching and special, and felt so meaningfully true to our story. She nailed it!

It was incredibly helpful to have Jill present at our rehearsal the evening before. She was very efficient and took control of our chatty bridal party of 16 people, ensuring we ran through every detail and felt prepared for the wedding day. Throughout the entire planning process, whether via Zoom or email, she helped my husband and I feel at ease and understood. Jill has a special gift, and we are so grateful that she shared it with us. I could not have imagined a more perfect ceremony.

Cara Tollefson: 5 stars!!!

We were lucky to have Cara Tollefson as our wedding officiant, and we feel so blessed. From the beginning, Cara put effort into getting to know us and helping us to create the perfect personalized ceremony. We felt supported through the entire process, and on the day of, our ceremony was a highlight of our day. Many of our guests mentioned how touching and amazing it was, and we couldn’t agree more. Thank you Cara, for giving us such an amazing memory and beautiful ceremony!

Amazing Officiant

We looked on Minnesota Officiants and chose Jill Englund. I'm sure other officiants are great, but we had to have gotten the best. We consider ourselves very lucky getting Jill. She was professional above all else, but also veeeeery personable. Everyone at our wedding commented on how great she was. Jill will work with whatever kind of wedding you want to have. We couldn't have had a better officiant.

Cara Tollefson is awesome!

We were lucky to be paired with Cara Tollefson as our officiant, and she was absolutely amazing! Our wedding venue recommended a site to find an officiant, and after filling out our info, we were matched with Cara—and we’re so glad we were.

We were a little stressed since we hired her just two months before the wedding, but Cara made everything so smooth and easy. Her emails and planning documents were super detailed and helped guide us every step of the way.

At the rehearsal, she made the process simple for my family—even with a big wedding party and lots of people walking down the aisle. She kept everything calm and organized.

If you're looking for a smooth, stress-free experience, I highly recommend hiring Cara Tollefson as your officiant. She’s a true professional and so easy to work with!

Cara Tollefson is an excellent choice!

Cara car is full of joy and enthusiasm! Before the wedding, she will keep you informed on things that have to be done to make your service smooth and worry, free. At the service, she is so full of happiness and joy and helpful little touches. Like for instance, she is also a make up artist so she could help ding you up for pictures! ha you will be so delighted if you hire her.

Jill was amazing!

My husband and I wanted a small intimate ceremony and we found Jill online. We met with her via Zoom and really liked her energy. We each sent her our own "love story" and she compiled them for our ceremony. It was so special to hear my husband's perspective on our wedding day. Jill was easy to talk to, very comfortable to be around, and did an amazing job of putting together a special, personalized ceremony for us. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

A++ Officiant!

Cara did such a great job with our ceremony! It’s a daunting thing to figure out how your wedding ceremony should go if you’re wanting to do something secular and personal. I’m so glad we ultimately decided to work with a pro rather than putting that pressure on a friend or family member. The guide booklet that MN Officiants provides is so helpful as a “choose your own adventure” for customizing a ceremony that feels right to you as a couple. Cara was also so great in coaching us as we wrote our own vows (right up to the last minute - eek!). Just the right balance of encouragement, nudging and patience! She helped us add so much heart and was a trusted editor helping us make sure it didn’t run too long. Everything ran smoothly and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

Jason made our ceremony memorable

Minnesota Officiants, Jason Jorgensen in particular, were so helpful in making our wedding celebration memorable. After meeting with my partner and I to make sure we were a good fit, Jason provided excellent guidance on curating our wedding ceremony so that it was everything we wanted to celebrate our meaningful commitment. His friendly personality and easy-going nature made the whole process go smoothly and the ceremony he delivered was heartfelt and memorable. There was no detail unaccounted for, including matching his wardrobe to our wedding colors and having extra printed copies for our reader to use at the ceremony. Jason went above and beyond to help my partner and I with our wedding celebrations and made sure we were officially set to begin life’s next adventures.

Jason was so helpful and flexible!

Jason Jorgensen was so helpful in the planning process of the ceremony. He helped us organize and was super flexible when part of the ceremony was put to the side and not involved right away. We got so many compliments on the way that he organized the ceremony, and it was about us and not just about the proceedings. I would highly recommend working with Jason as your officiant for your wedding ceremony

We were so grateful to have Cara Tollefson as our wedding officiant. We had a small “budget wedding” and she made every part of it feel special and unique. Jill made our wedding perfect!

We worked with Jill Englund as our officiant, and she made it so easy to build a ceremony that felt genuine and true to our relationship! With her help we preserved the aspects of traditional ceremonies that we valued while adding personal touches that rang true to our families and community. Even though both we and Jill had some major life events during the planning period, she did great supporting us and matching our availability to plan and practice the ceremony. Calm presence on such a stressful day!

We had Jill Englund officiate our wedding and everything was just wonderful! She is so sweet and has the best personality. She was very communicative and helpful throughout the planning process, flawlessly lead our rehearsal, and did an amazing job the day of the wedding! We Loved Working with Jill!

We chose MN Officiants for the many options they offered to make our special day unique and memorable . Cara Tollefson- The BEST Wedding Officiant

My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cara Tollefson. We hired her as our officiant for our ceremony last month, and it is one of the best decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process. She was kind from start to finish- first speaking with us over the phone, then meeting us face-to-face for coffee, and finally being present to coordinate our rehearsal. She is organized, dedicated, charismatic, and good-humored! She will be there for you while also making sure everything goes off without a hitch. We would give her more stars if we could!

Cara Tollefson - Amazing and wonderful

Cara Tollefson was beyond amazing from the very start. Her call to introduce herself and explain the process to us was wonderful. She was pleasant, calm and provided all the information we needed. Cara made sure we were aware we could reach out to her anytime with any questions, which really put us at ease. Her email respond was always prompt. When we met her for the rehearsal, immediately upon meeting her face to face, we knew we had made the right decision. She was lighthearted, joyful, fun, kind hearted and engaged in the process. She offered suggestions that we took and ran with and they ended up being the highlights in our ceremony. Cara reminded us that she would guide us through the process and not to worry, but to enjoy our day. She did guide us, she was calm - Cara simply was the best! We Had a Beautiful and Special Wedding

Jill Englund from Minnesota Wedding Officiants served as our officiant for our wedding, and we can’t thank her enough for all that she did to help us pull off a beautiful, memorable wedding day! Her experience helping couples craft weddings that match their personalities and beliefs showed through in every part of our planning and preparations. She took the time to get to know us, our likes and dislikes, and our hopes for the occasion, and then she provided us just the right amount of help to pull it all together. She suggested a basic framework for the ceremony and then let us fill in as much of the content as we wanted. And on the day of the event, Jill offered so many great suggestions to help us make sure it all came together smoothly–she even thought about details like holding her ceremony book in her hands rather than using a podium, because it looks better in the photos. And she’s such a lovely person! We so appreciated that her calming presence helped everyone about to take part in the ceremony to feel ready and confident. We had a beautiful wedding all around, and Jill played a big role in making that happen!

We found Minnesota Officiants online and were drawn to the idea that we could create a customized ceremony that reflected us as a couple, but would still be delivered by a professional. Minnesota Officiants gave us a lot of great resources for building our Ceremony, and we worked with Allan Lindgren to put it all together. Allan had a lot of experience which helped us feel comfortable during the rehearsal and day-of and he has a great way of combining the "mushy" stuff with a little humor. Our family and friends raved about our Ceremony and I would definitely recommend Minnesota Officiants and Allan Lindgren.

Great experience

We asked for a midnight wedding to be done and have it be short and to the point before we left for our destination symbolic wedding. The set up was easy, he arrived in a few minutes early and was out the door at 12:05. Exactly like we wanted.

The Perfect Ceremony!

Jill Englund was an incredible officiant and she put together a beautiful ceremony we (along with our friends and family) will never forget. We've had countless guests tell us how impressed they were with her and how beautiful and personal our ceremony was. She was extremely responsive and took the time to get to know us before our big day. We wanted a personal ceremony with a bit of humor sprinkled in and she more than delivered.

Jill was amazing to work with throughout the whole process. She is knowledgeable and her experience helped with the planning of the ceremony and the rehearsal. The ceremony was perfect! Jill did a great job using our love story and weaving it into the ceremony to make it very personal and special. My husband and I are so happy with the experience and many of our guests also commented on how memorable the ceremony was. We found this Vendor when our original officiant backed out towards the end of the process. Jell Englund was by far the greatest experience we had with the whole wedding process. She was quick to respond, professional, and had great ideas! Everyone raved about her and the ceremony and we could not have asked for a better officiant!

My husband and I loved that Cara Tollefson was our officiant! She made everything sounds so beautifully and flow so smoothly! She worked so well with our large group on the day of and at the rehearsal! She couldnt have been more perfect for our day! We wish we could do it all over again with her! Cara Tollefson- Amazing officiant!

My husband and I were incredibly honored to work with Cara Tollefson. Cara took the time to meet and get to know us, listened to the vision of what we wanted for our ceremony, and created the most beautiful ceremony we could have imagined. Cara is so professional, kind, and passionate about helping couples. We chose a ritual that was special to us, but did not quite know what direction to take to describe the ritual during the ceremony. Cara took extra time to help us come up with wording and an explanation that was absolutely perfect. During the rehearsal, Cara took time to go through the ceremony until we felt comfortable and confident. Once it was time for the real ceremony, Cara did an amazing job of picking up on uncertainty and subtly guiding us so the ceremony flowed beautifully. Fantastic experience with Cara!

We were honored to have Cara Tollefson officiate our wedding last weekend. We were forced to downsize our wedding (by a lot) due to COVID, but Cara helped ensure that it was just as special with only 20 guests as it would’ve been with 150. With Cara’s guidance, we were able to turn our wedding into an intimate, romantic ceremony that was so very “us”, which was reinforced by our guests telling us how wonderful it was, and that it is a wedding they wouldn’t forget :) The information packets Cara provided us in the beginning were extremely helpful in organizing our ceremony and the examples were great starting points to help us write out our ceremony. She was very receptive to our ideas, provided great feedback, and helped us create our own wedding “ritual” that everyone loved. She helped us make our ceremony absolutely everything we wanted it to be! Not only that, Cara is extremely sweet and personable and SO easy to talk to, and quick to respond to our questions. Talking over our ceremony with Cara the day before our wedding put our minds at ease immediately. It was incredibly easy and stress-free with Cara’s help! If we could go back in time, we’d pick her again and again.

One of A Kind

I did a search for local wedding officiants online and ran across One of a Kind. After reading the officiant profiles I contacted Cara Tollefson to talk more about my finance and my wedding ideas. Since this was both of our second marriages, we wanted a ceremony that was simple, yet elegant and meaningful to us, our adult children, and our relatives/friends who would be attending.. From day one, my fiancée and I both had a connection to Cara. She was genuine, caring, responsive, timely, thoughtful, and had a few great suggestions for how things could flow through the ceremony, where we stood, how long we looked at each other and/or held hands and making sure we practiced a long kiss for photo takers. We had no wedding party so she had us do a walkthrough anyways when we met with her a couple of weeks before the wedding. This really calmed our nerves and made us relax and enjoy the wedding ceremony. Nothing but compliments from all our guests on how the wedding played out. I highly recommend Cara and One of a Kind for anyone looking for a wedding officiant. Their prices compared to other officiants was similar and actually to be honest was priceless.

Cara was the perfect wedding officiant for our special day!

We worked with the lovely Officiant, Cara Tollefson. She did a wonderful and awesome job officiating our ceremony and guiding us through the whole process. We also managed to do marriage counseling with her weeks before our wedding and Cara was so accommodating into squeezing our sessions into her busy schedule so last minute. We found that doing marriage counseling was very fun and beneficial for us as a couple and enjoyed her advice and input on so many things. She was also great at communicating with both of us through email and would reply back to us right away. We also had fun planning out our entire wedding ceremony outline and Cara was so great at giving back suggestions and input on it. She really was such a pleasure to work with and her direction during the last couple of months really helped ease our minds. We appreciate her being so easy to work with, communicate with and just her attention to the details. She did a great job. We used Allan Lindgren for our ceremony after a family emergency prevented us from using our original officiant. Allan Lindgren stepped in the day before and literally saved our wedding. Jill is amazing!

Jill Englund was our officiant, and she was terrific! We were looking for an officiant for a nondenominational, outdoor ceremony. Jill met with us in person, provided helpful outlines of sample ceremonies, and followed up promptly via text and email. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted but she asked us some questions to get a sense of what our values and personalities were. We loved the idea of the "love story" to make our ceremony authentic to us, and we got so much positive feedback from guests who loved hearing the story of us!

Jill has such a soothing presence and also took command of ceremony day-of details. She organized cues with the ceremony musicians and did a brief run-down with us to make sure we understood what to do (we didn't have attendants so did not have a rehearsal--she does offer that too as needed/wanted!).

I was nervous about things running smoothly for the ceremony, but Jill took away all my worries! She was really a guiding presence to make sure the day went well. She also followed up after the wedding, alerting us as to when we should be receiving our wedding certificate in the mail.

I cannot recommend Jill highly enough!

Jill Englund performed our ceremony and did an amazing job. We interviewed different officiants, and once we met with Jill, we knew she was the one. She was professional, organized, and kind throughout the entire process. She included us throughout the entire process and asked for consistent input. Wonderful working with Kate

We found our officiant Kate Gregory through Minnesota Officiants and she was wonderful throughout the experience. My husband and I were married in our backyard. We were a few months from our wedding when we started getting serious about finding someone to marry us. From the first meeting with Kate we felt like she was the perfect fit! She was so warm and wonderful, we were excited to have her officiate our wedding. We had such a great first meeting, we liked her so much we even did the premarital counselling with her. I thought it was so much more personal and productive than I expected. My husband and I both felt like we learned something new about each other and how to work together.

Kate was amazing throughout the whole process. We were a little worried about the ceremony, planning everything ourselves, and we were nervous about how everything would go. However, she had everything set up so nicely to help us customize our ceremony and had wonderful suggestions that made the day of even more perfect then we could have imagined.

The ceremony itself was so beautiful. Kate helped us to pick readings that fit our ceremony and the site. Afterwords everyone commented on what a lovely ceremony we had. We had guests coming up to us asking if she was an aunt because she seemed to know us so well. She couldn't have been more wonderful!

Best Ceremony Ever

We had Cara Tollefson as our officiant. She had done a friend's wedding a few years ago and both of us decided she would be perfect for our ceremony. The book we received walked us through the options we had and Cara was available for any questions. The entire ceremony was personalized for us and we really enjoyed the reflections love story portion of the ceremony. Jessica and I chose Jill Englund because not only were we not looking for a traditional wedding, we wanted someone who was willing to do out of the ordinary. She was all for the ideas we were thinking of and totally made sure that our wedding would go down as one of the most amazing anyone attended. The first thing I will say is if you're looking for an officiate to conduct your wedding ceremony, you need to contact Jill Englund. She is the best!! We had a small wedding without any attendants so by our choice we did not have a rehearsal prior to the day of our wedding but went through how everything would proceed a few hours before the ceremony. We had many phone and e-mail communications before our wedding and met a week prior at a coffee shop to go over our big day. It was perfect!! We wrote our love story for her and she expressed it so passionately at the ceremony that it brought tears to many in attendance of how we met, became friends and fell in love because of how Jill delivered our story. Heck, we lived it and both of us were tearing up as she was telling everyone. She has such a calming affect wanting to make everything at the ceremony about the couple and to go perfect. Jill was awesome!!!

We found Nancy Lindgren through MN Officiants. We were impressed by her organization and flexibility, and we liked her! After we decided on her, we worked out details through email, phone and another meeting. She was flexible, responsive and open to last minute changes.

We had Nancy attend the rehearsal dinner, and she controlled the rehearsal and communicated everyone's role and order clearly. She was prepared and efficient. She also did a great job with the flower girl who was nervous, and the flower girl did a great job the day of the wedding! We are so appreciative of Nancy and how organized, clear and respectful she was. It was very reassuring.

Nancy had a lot of pointers and tips for posing, walking down the aisle, etc. She has a lovely and calm speaking voice, spoke clearly through the microphone and worked with the DJ on the sound system.

Everyone loved the ceremony and the "love story" she put together. It was sweet and funny. We still receive complements on the ceremony 6 months after the wedding! We are so happy we chose Nancy!

We worked with Jill Englund for our wedding. Jill was great! Very friendly, professional and had many helpful suggestions. We were planning our wedding while living in different countries leading up to it, and Jill worked with us to make it as easy as possible. Our bridal party and families also thought Jill was great during both the rehearsal and ceremony. Would highly recommend!

We worked with Kate Gregory as our officiant and also our marriage counselor. She was absolutely lovely to spent time with, go through counseling and create our ceremony for our wedding day. She was incredibly sweet and allowed us to personalize our wedding and ceremony. We loved every bit of it and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an officiant!

Minnesota Officiants was very easy to work with and had a high class of professionalism. We worked with Allan Lindgren, he was fabulous! He helped us through every step and informed us of things we never even considered or thought of. Allan made us feel at ease and there was no stress with Allan running the ceremony. We worked with Cara and she was great! Leading up to the wedding she was very responsive and she really helped create the perfect ceremony for us. On the day of the wedding she was so professional and supportive. The ceremony itself was beautiful and we got so many compliments from our guests. I would highly recommend her!!

We worked with Jill Englund based on a recommendation from a friend whose wedding ceremony we enjoyed. From start to finish Jill was very professional, friendly, easy to work with and flexible. We wanted a non-religious, short ceremony that was meaningful yet light-hearted. Jill did an amazing job putting together our unique pieces and was very open to edits we made to ensure it maintained our personal style. Jill made us comfortable the moment we met her because she spent time walking us through what to expect and things to think about. She made the ceremony part of the process a breeze. Cara did our ceremony and we couldn't had a better service! We had a blended family that has know become one. She helped us focus our ceremony around that and there wasn't a dry eye in the entire place! Thanks for making our ceremony so perfect!

We had Jill Englund as our officiant, and she did an amazing job! Not only did we love the ceremony, but we had many guests say it was the best ceremony they had been to.

My wife and I have different religious beliefs (Lutheran and Agnostic), and Jill did a beautiful job creating a ceremony that intertwined both views. She did a Love Story portion of the ceremony that was the most memorable and unique part.

I highly recommend working with Minnesota Officiants (and Jill Englund, if she's available)

Jill Englund with Minnesota Officiants was great to work with and helped make our ceremony just the way we pictured - intimate and personal! I had so many compliments about how special the ceremony was from friends and family - the best they've been to. Jill really did a wonderful job taking us through the whole process and giving us resources to help decide what we wanted our wedding ceremony to look and feel like. At the same time, there was a large amount of flexibility to make it what we wanted, with her guidance about what she'd seen work and not work, etc. In particular, Jill was fantastic wrangling our small wedding party the day of - since we didn't have a rehearsal - ensuring it all went smoothly. Jill Englund was our officiant for our ceremony and she did a fantastic job! If we could give her a 10/10 we definitely would! When we met Jill for the first time we felt like we knew her for years! She was very personable and we could tell she loves her job! She helped us piece together our ceremony allowing us to pick what we wanted and gave us advice along the way! She provided everything we needed to create our own personalized ceremony! At the rehearsal Jill not only made sure everyone knew what to do for the ceremony but she also helped with other details such as the timing of our ceremony music, how to stand during each part of the ceremony and the queues that she would give to help us! She had great advice! The day of the ceremony Jill arrived early to make sure all the details were finalized! Our ceremony was everything we hoped for and more. The love story that Jill offers gave it that personalized, special touch that we were looking for. Jill guided us through the ceremony and my husband and I were able to relax the whole time. We received SO many compliments on our ceremony and we have Jill to thank for that! If we could offer two words of advice they would be to pick Jill Englund as your officiant and to use the love story in your ceremony! Thank you so much Jill for everything!

We had Cara Tollefson act as our wedding officiant and could not have been more pleased with her. She was very responsive, listened to our wants/needs, and most importantly we felt we had a genuine connection with her. Jill Englund was our officiant, and she could not have done a better job! I can't imagine having anyone else officiate our wedding. She was so true to what we wanted in our ceremony and also offered so many wonderful suggestions. She was just a warm, supportive presence throughout the whole process, and clearly has a ton of amazing experience. That definitely helped us in making decisions about the ceremony and even the rest of the day. Jill has such a presence about her and knows how to get things done--she completely rocked our rehearsal, keeping everyone focused, and our family and friends fell in love with her. She is one of the vendors that our friends and family have complimented the most about our wedding, and everyone has been saying the ceremony was stunning, unique, and personal. We will definitely be keeping in touch with Jill!

Jill Englund officiated our wedding and she was awesome from the start. Jill met with us at a time that worked with our schedule and not too long before our wedding. She listened to what we wanted for our ceremony and within a few days send a rough draft. She was very open and offered suggestions to make our ceremony work for us, and our families. Jill had great ideas to keep some of our more difficult family members busy before the ceremony. Jill was fun to work with before our wedding day and made the ceremony just as fun. We couldn't have been happier with Jill.

Cara is AMAZING! Throughout the entire wedding planning process she under promised and over delivered. We received so many compliments on how personal and heartfelt our ceremony was - which is exactly what we envisioned. She is incredibly talented and professional. We wanted a simple, meaningful ceremony. Kate Gregory did a great job helping us plan the ceremony. She suggested doing a ring ceremony, where our rings were passed from guest to guest (we had 20 guests) for them to say a few words over. It was really a special moment and many people commented on how they had never seen that done before and loved it.

We had the pleasure of having Kate Gregory as our officiant. We also did premarital counseling with her using the PREPARE program. Our ceremony was beautiful and she made it as easy as possible for us to plan it. The PREPARE program was also helpful in identifying any potential problems. Kate is kind, caring, and professional. Kate Gregory officiated our wedding last April and it could not have been a better fit. We met up with her and instantly felt connected and invested in. Kate has a full understanding of various religious beliefs which we absolutely loved! I am Lutheran and my husband is Buddhist and it just so happened that Kate has a christian background, but also studied Buddhism. It could not have been any better fit for us as there was a respect and understanding from her that is exceptionally rare.

We found Jill Englund on Minnesotaofficiants.com. We are from different cultures and different religions and weren't really sure who we wanted to officiate our ceremony so I went to the Internet. I found Jill, read her bio/description and immediately liked her. Then we met and I knew she would be perfect to do our wedding! And she was!! She listened to everything we wanted, how we wanted a non religious very laid back and casual ceremony. It was just that and so much more. She did an amazing job sharing our love story and making it personal. Everyone at our wedding complimented us on how wonderful and personal our ceremony was. And how it showed how much love we really had for each other. And that is all because of Jill! She is amazing and I recommend her to any couple getting married. Jill Englund was a marvelous wedding officiant. She is super approachable and provides great support and input when planning your ceremony. She can also command the attention of a room with lots of people (which really helped on the night of our rehearsal). And on the day of the wedding she talked with both my husband and I to make sure everyone was on the same page. She is very genuine person and tries to make this whole process as easy and as stress-free as it can be. The E-Book that you receive is also a great reference tool when planning the ceremony and saves you a lot of time and effort so that you can focus on what you really want. Thank you Jill!!

Jill also recommended us to our pre-marital counselor Jen Gori who is so great at what she does. Pre-marital counseling in itself was a very awkward process for me but Jen was very good at making it just an open conversation. After our sessions with her I felt like I have the tools to communicate better in my marriage and also just in life. I was skeptical about doing this counseling but I feel like if you do it, you won't regret it. Thank you Jen!!

Jill Englund performed our wedding ceremony and she did absolutely beautifully. She genuinely listened to what we wanted out of our wedding ceremony and went above and beyond what we expected. All of the guests complimented the ceremony and said it was one of the most genuine they had seen.
