One of a kind, you need to work with Mindy!

Have you ever met someone who somehow immediately takes a weight off your shoulders? That is Mindy. I was planning our wedding from out of state, in the middle of taking a new job that had me traveling quite a bit, and in a period of 8 months. I had seen photos from a wedding Mindy did a few years back and had thought how beautiful and natural they were at the time so I knew I was hoping she was available. When we found out she was we booked her immediately, having no idea that not only would we be getting amazing pictures but that we would get to work with someone who truly made our day easy and fun. At our engagement session, we could not have been more awkward and Mindy had us cracking up in the first few minutes. She told us what to do, put us both at ease and the resulting pictures were incredible. The day of the wedding I was so flustered and stressed. I am used to being the person organizing things and helping coordinate everyone but this was the day I couldn’t do that and had too much to do on my own to focus on making sure everyone else had what they needed! Mindy walks in, takes one look at me, and says girl you need to relax :) . She had me laughing all morning and slowly I started to chill out. Even beyond that, she made sure everyone was moving things along keeping an eye on the time and just got stuff done – we would have missed so many pictures if she wasn’t thinking ahead for us and making things happen. You need that kind of person on your wedding day, someone who can do the thinking for you and who is always one step ahead capturing incredible moments! Did I mention she also made sure that I actually got a plate of cake?

I was not the only one who felt this way. Everyone at the wedding loved Mindy because she made what can be a long day of coordinating family for pictures an absolute blast. She was all energy from start to finish and made sure that before she left at the end of the day there weren’t any other last pictures we wanted to capture – she stayed an extra hour unexpectedly for us to finish some up. We are so grateful and feel so lucky to have worked with Mindy – she managed to create in photos every memory we would want to relive. Now, time to go review our beautiful wedding album for the 100th time!

Mindy is truly a wonderfully talented photographer. She has a gift for capturing a seemingly ordinary moment and turning it into something magical. In a field that can often be saturated with less-than-professional "photographers", you will not regret working with Mindy Sue!

When planning our wedding, Josh and I decided that one of the most important things to us was the photographer. We came across Mindy, met with her, and knew we absolutely needed her to be our photographer. She did our engagement pictures, which were stunning. On 9/2/17, she photographed our wedding and we could not be more happy with the experience! She was AMAZING at coordinating our day and being flexible! Mindy had advice that was so incredibly useful and I felt so confident having her catching all of our special moments! Her bubbly personality kept us happy and laughing all day! I loved having her as our photographer for a few different reasons: her work is spectacular, she's super knowledgeable and knows what she wants, she does anything to make a shot work, and she's honest. If I had to do all of it over again, I would absolutely choose Mindy again, over and over. Mindy, you did a fabulous job! Thank you for helping make mine and Josh's big day so perfect!

Mindy Sue is a diamond in the rough. Of all the photographers we looked into, we couldn't believe Mindy was still available for our date! We were sold on her whimsical style and romantic portraiture alone-- her photos look like something out of a fairy tale--- very ideal for a wedding photog. No other photographer came close to her style that we could find.

From the moment we first started working with Mindy at our engagement session, we were blown away not only by her professionalism and can-do attitude, but notably by her process. She knew exactly what she wanted and how to execute the perfect shot...getting us camera shy individuals to express the right emotions at the right time. We were very comfortable with Mindy from the start.
When it came to wedding day, Mindy stepped it up into high gear, easily taking charge and helping us move the day along. She's not only a photographer, but a built in wedding planner too! She kept us in check-- making sure we were meeting our timeline, pushing us forward so we were where we needed to be when, and helping us corral all necessary parties throughout the whole day. She was our rock. The day went wayyyy more smoothly with Mindy around and we truly got way more for our hire than just a photographer.
Ultimately Mindy is a stellar photographer-- she knows what to anticipate, how to manage groups efficiently, what encouraging things to say to get the emotion in the shot, and recognizes the importance in capturing every moment you deem necessary.
We were truly sad to see her go at the end of the night. It felt like we had gained a new friend.

From my first conversation with Mindy Sue -- I had a great feeling about her. She was authentic, down to earth, friendly, and she made me feel confident that she was listening and would deliver what we wanted in our wedding photos. She was organized, proactive, timely -- which meant the world to us as we planned and prepared for our big day. The day of the wedding, she arrived early and got going. She takes her job very seriously, but really added an element of fun to our wedding day. She followed all our instructions to the detail, and handled situations we hadn't discussed gracefully. We were not excited about taking time away from the party to take wedding portraits, but with Mindy it ended up being one of the most fun parts of our day together. Most importantly of all, our photos FAR exceeded our expectations. We will cherish them for the rest of our lives.

This gal has an eye for beauty. She captures the big moments in an intimate way, and brings the tiny details to life. Not only is she extremely talented, she is a pleasure to be around! Her enthusiasm for what she does is contagious, and she certainly knows how to work a crowd to get some smiles. As if that's not enough, she is extremely thoughtful in her editing and presentation, even going as far to send us a customized wooden box of prints of her favorite pics a few weeks after our wedding. Nothing but wonderful things to say about Mindy Sue!!

She definitely took charge on the day of our wedding which was really nice to not worry about where to be and what to do. She helped the day run smooth. I didn't realize a photographer really does set the pace for the entire day. She was so easy to work with. My husband and I both weren't very natural and she helped us relax and told us exactly what to do. Our pictures turned out amazing. They look so beautiful and natural and not staged. That is exactly what we wanted. She doesn't waste time taking pictures of unnecessary things. She got exactly what she needed the first time. Family pictures were quick and easy. She was there every time I turned around so I knew she got all of the special moments without even telling her. She was a blessing on our day. I would absolutely recommend her. You will be so happy you went with Mindy!

From the moment I met Mindy, I knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding. I had met with quite a few photographers before Mindy, but she was, by far, the most impressive. Mindy’s sweet nature and captivating personality had me at hello. She exhibits clear mastery over her work. Her photos are artistic, natural and timeless. I highly recommend Mindy to anyone in need of a photographer.

Mindy is astute at taking the perfect photo. Her photos never look staged because she embraces moments and captures emotions. Mindy knows what is important to her clients. I never worried that should would miss a photo. She captured every single detail I hoped she would, and more!

Mindy is on task. She is vocal and assertive without being pushy and annoying. These traits allow her to seamlessly move through the day catching every important moment and detail.

I trusted Mindy from the very beginning. Because I had such confidence in her skill, I encouraged her to use her creative freedom to take photos and create an amazing wedding book. My wedding book is unlike anything I have ever seen – it is truly a masterpiece! Her artistic talent is very evident in her work.

When Mindy and I first met, she gave me a piece of advice that I have since shared with many other brides: choose a photographer with whom you are comfortable, you will be with him/her all day. In addition to being a remarkable photographer and artist, Mindy is a wonderful woman. It was a pleasure spending my wedding day with her. In fact, my husband and I relished in the opportunity to be alone and talk about the amazing day we had while Mindy photographed us. She captured a very special time between us after the ceremony and before the reception.

Mindy did everything from fixing a stray hair to bustling my dress. She was a confidant, friend, helper, and beyond. I am so happy I chose to work with Mindy Sue and any bride who has the opportunity to work with her is blessed. I have only praise for

Mindy was great!!! She took charge (which is great when you have a million friends/relatives pulling in every direction!) She is definitely professional; most photographers take thousands of photos and go to photo shop to fix them up. Mindy made sure each picture she took was what she wanted and was outstandingly quick and efficient. What this meant for us was that she had very few bad photos to work through and we received our wedding photos LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER THE WEDDING. I would work with Mindy again and would recommend her to friends and family. She is worth every penny!

Mindy was an amazing photographer. I was just looking through some of our beautiful wedding photos today and I have to say how happy I am with them. For us, we knew photos were something we didn't want to skimp on. Even so, Mindy's services were a great value and she worked with us to make sure we stayed within our budget. To anyone who wants a photographer who is warm, professional, and who has an artistic eye, you CANNOT go wrong with Mindy!

In planning our wedding my now husband and I were very concerned about finding a photographer we would feel comfortable with and who would capture all of our special moments without losing the creativity of photography. We were so impressed with Mindy's work and completely fell in love with her during out first meeting that we cancelled all of our other meetings with photographers and immediately booked her! Mindy Sue went ABOVE and BEYOND all of our expectations and hopes for our pictures. She has the most warm and welcoming personality that makes her feel like an old friend and has the capability to bring out a genuine smile in everyone. She captured the joy and the spirit of our entire day and her work is absolutely stunning. In fact, one of our bridesmaids was so impressed with Mindy at our wedding that she promptly booked her for her upcoming wedding as well! I am so thankful to have such beautiful memories of one of the most important events of our lives and even more grateful to have them displayed in our and our families homes. We are so happy that we chose Mindy Sue for our wedding photography! The photographs turned out so beautiful. Each detail of her business is stylish, thoughtful, and creative: the dvd package, the website, the questionnaire. She was extremely personable and easy to collaborate with over the phone or email. The questionnaire was really helpful as it allowed us to give our preferences about various details of our wedding day, list our must have photographs, etc. On our wedding day, she meshed so well with our guests, the staff at Oak Lodge, and the wedding party. She has a bright personality and a great sense of humor. I usually feel unnatural when a camera is pointed in my direction, but I didn't with her. She was so encouraging and made me feel carefree and beautiful. She was creative when setting up shots and captured many candid shots that we now treasure. She is a joy to work with and we highly recommend her.

I loved the uniqueness and genuineness that your pictures illustrate. You don’t do the cookie-cutter shots that I have seen some many photographers do, and that was never appealing to me when looking for a photographer for our wedding. I love the angles and risks that you take, no picture is ever the same, and it is not the “expected” picture. When comparing our pictures to others, I am so appreciative of your work and that we had the opportunity to work with you. Ben and I never had a lot of pictures together, so it was so special to me that those taken at the wedding really documented our love in a real (uncheesy) kind of way.

You came highly recommended from Matt at the Oak Lodge, and my mom and mother-in-law fell in love with you when they met you for the first time. That in itself with your website/blog were enough to make a clear and firm decision that we had to work with you!

Again, I love your funkiness, quirky, and fun approach. I thought I would be really uncomfortable with the whole picture and photographer in my face just due to my own insecurities. You never made me feel that way at all. You complimented me the entire time, and really made me feel comfortable. Ben is really hard to strap down to get him to behave, and you were able to do that. I look at the wedding pictures and think they are so flattering of the both of us, our family, and friends. You can tell from the pictures the story of that day. I love that.

The only thing I can say is that I would have loved more pictures, because I was so happy with the quality of those you did. You did an amazing job and were easily accessible to us through phone and email, and I know you are busy with the kids as well. We were more than pleased with the results and can’t wait to work with you again in the near future!

Mindy was a wonderful photographer! She had a contagious personality, knew exactly what to capture, and never missed a beat. Leading up to the wedding she was a joy to work with. She helped me determine the order of the wedding day and gave little creative ideas along the way whenever I asked.

She was always only a phone call or email away and responded quickly. She was true to her contract and professional in every way.

A price could not be put on the quality of images that she provided for us. The work of art that we now have to display in our home and keep forever is beautiful and was worth every penny.

On the day of my wedding I was running behind and she was incredibly flexible and willing to go where ever she needed to be to accomplish all of the pictures before the wedding.

I had people ask me multiple times where I found her, who she was, and tell me how great they thought she was on my wedding day. Everyone loved her and my wedding images are exactly what I was hoping for.

If you are looking for someone who genuinely cares and has a true talent for capturing images full of character and beauty you can not go wrong with Mindy Sue Photography!

I have had the pleasure of working with Mindy not once, but twice! As the photographer for a previous wedding I was in, I knew her work and personality would be a good a fit for us. Mindy took the time to walk us through the timeline, and was wholly patient as my husband and I tried to navigate through wedding planning and bliss. She was nothing but helpful, kind, and unintrusive on the wedding day. The pictures we received are beautiful, and I am thankful for her expertise. The price was a stretch for us, but we could not be happier for the memories she captured.

Mindy did a wonderful job at our wedding. She has a fun personality and is so easy to work with. Our bridal party kept commenting on how great she was! This despite her being pregnant at the time, and the high temperatures that day - she did not complain once! So many wedding photographers act like they know just what you want just because theyve done a lot of weddings. i was very frustrated in our search for a photographer that we felt we could trust. Mindy listened to what we wanted and I am confident in saying that she got it exactly right. On top of that she was very affordable!

We loved most how she was there for every important moment: it seemed like not only for the bride and groom, but for family members, friends, etc., she was catching their sweet and beautiful moments with kids, spouses etc. We loved, too, that having her there to arrange and organize pictures made the family feel there was order and purpose in the photo-taking. We absolutely loved her fun and huge personality. Her pictures, too, were just gorgeous, and we were so glad she caught the things we didn't get to see: for example, the reception decorations and the decoration of the car. We loved that she asked what we wanted but also had lots of ideas for poses. She sent the product so quickly, too, and in such an easy format to deal with. We loved the whole experience.
