Fantastic customer service
I have heard a lot of horror stories about tuxes gone wrong on the wedding day. I am happy to say that all of our pieces were the correct size and color and were all ready to pick up a few days early! Quan at the Crossroads Milroy's location was fantastic and helped us pick out the various shades of gray we wanted to use for our tuxes and also helped us pick out two different types of ties. My now husband said that she was also great at understanding what he wanted and making sure he got his way! Returning the tuxes was also super easy, and we weren't charged any additional fees. -

Milroy's Formal Wear is very professional with their services and their prices were very good. The staff were also very helpful and kind when helping choose and fit my wedding tuxedo. I highly recommend them and would use them again for any formal attire needs. -

I have always rented my tuxes from milroys all the way from high school prom, all the way up to the day I got married. I have always received great service from them. They are always there to help. and fix any issues right away, they don't leave you short handed or with out. they are a amazing company and the safe at the Dubuque Iowa location is amazing -

While shopping around for Tuxedo rentals for my Bride Betty and her best friend we had the best customer service from Milroy’s Tuxedos. They were by far the friendliest over the phone when we called with questions on styles and pricing. I believe the gentleman who ended up helping us was Skylar at the Merle Hay location. We will for sure be going in to see the styles they recommended in person and getting a fitting set up. I would recommend anyone give them a call if they want to save the time of shopping around, because this place was the best out of all the ones we contacted in town. Make sure you ask for Skylar. It was also great how LBGTQ friendly they were, Betty and I felt very welcomed there :) -

Great staff and store! We used the Merle Hay location and had a few groomsmen who were from different states, and Milroy's let us call/send in measurements for them. Even though some of the men's tuxes were a little off when they tried on the day before the wedding, Milroy's quickly ordered the correct sizes and had them in for us on the morning of the wedding, no problem at all! We were extremely pleased with their services! -

Milroy's Tuxedos in Ames, IA did an excellent job helping me with my wedding tuxes. The ladies there, Leah and Alaina, were both very polite, kind, and professional. They went above and beyond my expectations on helping me with the tuxes. I would gladly be a customer there again for any upcoming event in which my significant other would need to dress up. They not only made it very easy, but also enjoyable. I would and am going to recommend my friends to go here. By far an outstanding experience! Megan helped us ( being very frustrated from an earlier appointment at a suit shop) and was extremely helpful, patient, understanding and just an overall joy to work with. Loved Milroy's! We had originally visited a tux shop across the street from the wedding venue (Hotel Julien) in Dubuque. This place was a nightmare.. It was very dated and the employees were less than helpful or knowledgeable.
Frustrated, we were on our way back home and saw the Milroy's sign and stopped in. The ladies were wonderful to work with and they had fitted suits that we were looking for at a reasonable price. They also provided a pick-up service for the tuxes at the Julien hotel, which was very convenient.
The website is also helpful. The wedding party can check to see who has paid for their tuxes and the amount owed. Great all the way around! -

I found the staff to be the most helpful of almost any vendor I used and provided great service. I know the invitations part is not the main part of their business but if you decide to go through them, make sure to double check the information you want in all areas. We forgot to add an, "Unable to attend" box for the response card. -

Did a great job overall. Got every one of the groomsmen to get measured and they got their outfits a couple of days before the wedding. Then we just had one person bring back to tux. so they were brought back on time. -

The staff were very helpful when we went in to pick out our tuxes. We weren't really sure what we wanted and they helped us decide on different vests for the groomsmen, ushers, fathers, and groom. We also went back a few times and made changes on our selections and they were taken care of no problems. Overall everyone looked great and we didn't have any issues with any of the tuxes. -

we had very good service and recieved the correct suits for our weeding. The only issue we encountered was experiencing a not so friendly clerk when we returned the suits. The door was open and the individual told us she wouldn't take the suits because they don't open for 10 more minutes. We were in a rush to get on the road for our honeymoon and the fact the door was open lead us to belive we could return them. -

I felt the manger/owner of the store treated the woman that was helping us in a belittling a disrespectful manner. She spoke to her as if she was scolding a small child. I was very uncomfortable. -

Service was friendly & helpful on all occasions. On the actual wedding day we had a number of coats that were not even close to the correct size due to a typing error in their system. They easily fixed this by running to the warehouse, but it was still cutting it close on the actual wedding day & the groom had to borrow another (too-short) coat from one of his groomsmen for the pictures. The attire looked very nice- it was what we wanted. Overall, we were happy with Milroy's! -

I loved the tuxes that Milroys provided. They looked great. We did have a few issues, however. First, we went and picked out our tuxes and they were nearing closing time. They told me they usually enter everything into the computer and then have me look over it, but because they were closing, they would just transfer the information from the paper to the computer the next day. Didn't seem to be a problem because everything on the paper was correct. A couple weeks later when I logged in to see who had been fitted, I noticed the tie color was entered wrong for all the groomsmen and ushers. Had I not caught that, we would have been scrambling to get the correct ties 2 days before the wedding. Also, when you go pick up your tuxes, make sure you are given the correct tux. My brother went to get his and was given the grooms tux instead, which had a different vest and tie. He tried it on and thought it fit okay and walked out the door with it. My husband drove from Cedar Rapids to Dubuque to pick up his tux that same night, only to learn that his tux had been given to my brother. They provide great tuxes, but it seems you have to double and triple check everything that they do if you want it to be correct. -

My fiancee had made an appointment almost a week in advance and when we went to do the try on the tux wasn't there because the driver apparently messed up for the umteenth time. It wasn't the end of the world that we didn't get to do the try on, but it would've been nice and we gave plenty of notice so it was a little frustrating. We also were lucky that the warehouse is in the same town as the store where we picked up the tuxes because my tux jacket and 2 of my groomsmen's tux jackets were way too big and we had to go across town to pick different ones up. -

They were excellent solving fit issues when the groomsmen came the day before but we had some that came the day of the wedding and there was a mistake with everyone one of the suits rented. We also ordered bridesmaids dresses but all those came in perfect. -

Service was good.
Product was not quality, while getting dressed the day of the wedding I noticed that one of my shoes had a sole that was separated and I didn't have time to return or exchange them, so had to wear broken shoes all night for my wedding. -

It's been over a month since our wedding and I still haven't received my security deposit back. Not a phone call or anything telling me I wouldn't get it back so I'm not sure why I haven't recieved it and I'm not happy about it. -

Extremely disappointed with Milroy's. Made multiple mistakes with colors for the tuxedo vests and ties. The fathers and groom were all ordered wrong. They did not make any phone calls to me when my items were in. I had to constantly call them. I was not pleased with my experience. -
