Michael Made Our Wedding Reception!

Michael is hands down the best DJ I’ve ever worked with (my career is in events) and made our reception something special. Mile High Music Patrol was recommended to us by another DJ that was unavailable, and to be perfectly honest, we’re happy they were booked and we were able to work with MHMP! They were very reasonably priced on top of being very responsive, professional, and easy to work with. They never tried to upsell us or pressure us into anything we didn’t want. Michael took a lot of stress off of us by helping us plan the reception and played every song, no matter how obscure, that we requested. Once my (now) husband and I arrived at the reception, we asked if it would be possible for him to announce the score of the Avs game at the end of each period since they were in the playoffs and we’re both HUGE Avs fans. Not only did he play some radio snippets of the game, he announced when they scored along with the Avs goal horn :) There were done other last minute changes that he handled with ease and never seemed annoyed or put off at all. Our reception was so memorable and an absolute blast in large part because of Michael and his DJ talent. We cannot recommend MHMP highly enough!

Did amazing job with my family got them out dancing my family doesn't often dance so it was awesome to see everybody dancing and enjoying their time and he did an amazing job I would hire him in a heart beat again

We absolutely loved Michael from Mile High Music Patrol! We knew him from a place where he has hosted trivia, and when we found out he DJs weddings, we booked him immediately. Our first meeting with him to discuss the wedding was so great. He went through all the details, step-by-step, and knew exactly how to go about planning everything. It was so relieving to instantly know that we were dealing with a true professional that didn't need any extra guidance (because anyone planning a wedding knows that you have enough things to worry about!). The night of the wedding, he kept everything moving smoothly and he went above and beyond communicating with our wedding coordinator and making sure everything was going according to plan. He's a true professional and extremely flexible. He was also great at taking song requests from guests the night of the wedding. So many of our guests complimented the music and we had such a great time dancing the night away!

Michael Collins was an absolute delight to work with! He was extremely flexible regarding meeting times prior to the event and he worked closely with my wife and I to ensure that he captured our intent. The day of the wedding he arrived on time and was extremely professional. Throughout the wedding his MC abilities and song choices were top notch! Michael did an amazing job at my daughters wedding and reception. Not only was the music top notch but he was very good at keeping the entire celebration moving through the various activities. And Michael is a great guy!

Michael is by far the best DJ in Colorado! We have had numerous guests from our wedding tell us that they had a great time at our wedding because the DJ was playing great music for everyone to dance to. Everyone was out on the dance floor! His fee is very reasonable with his quality of work. I would recommend any looking for a DJ for their big day to get Michael booked!

Awesome DJ!

We absolutely loved Michael and are so glad we hired him for our wedding! He got the party started right away with great music selection. Our dance floor was packed all night and we got lots of compliments on how great he was! He was so easy to work with, professional and kind. He even had a talking to with my videographer when he came and told me during the reception that he was leaving earlier than discussed for the night. His process is just seamless and you can tell he’s done this a lot. Not to mention his price point is fantastic compared to the many other DJs I had talked to before I found him. Thanks Michael for a great night! We would highly recommend!

After thorough research, Mile High offered the best service for the dollar! They communicated clearly, and we're flexible without charging extra. Jake Woods took all of our requests into consideration, and the flow of music was perfect. He announced the wedding party and others in a timely manner. Their equipment was high end, and they balanced the sound to the room very well. I have no reservations in recommending Mile High Music Patrol. -Vern

Michael Collins with Mile High Music Patrol went above and beyond to make our wedding run smoothly, and to make it so very fun! From the first time I called him, Michael was very responsive, and always willing to answer our questions. The music he played throughout the night really set the tone for what turned out to be a very fun evening! He also helped me execute a surprise during the reception for my husband :) Thank you, Michael for everything you did for our wedding.

Michael Collins was the best DJ!!

We hired Michael Collins for our wedding based on a recommendation, and I'm so glad we did! He was so easy to work with the entire time, and made sure to get all the details from us that he needed. He even met us at our venue about a month before to make sure that everything was figured out before the big day. We also had a video chat a couple of weeks before to go over the finalized version of our wedding music and to go over any last minute additions or questions. The day of the wedding he executed everything so perfectly, from the ceremony music to the cocktail hour and dinner music to the dance party music. Everyone was dancing the whole night and didn't want it to end! I received compliments for weeks about the dance music he was playing and how each song he played kept them on the dance floor. I highly recommend hiring Michael as your DJ, he was absolutely fantastic!

Very good service and he was great with our wedding guests! Small amount of meeting time with him and he knew what we wanted. He showed up early to setup and was there until the last minute. Give him a call!

very nice professional DJ we used for our ceremony last month. Met with him once to lay ground rules, sent a list of requested songs and brought a CD with the actual ceremony the day of the event. He accomodated all of our requests, was timely and personable, We received several compliments from our guests on the quality and professionalism of the DJ so were quite pleased with MHMP as our selection.

Helped make the day perfect!

So great and easy to work with, was very accommodating in specific things while also being able to fill in the gaps when. We didn’t care what was being played as long as people were having fun. Clearly very experienced!

Hiring Mile High Music Patrol was the easiest and best decision we made throughout our wedding planning process. We were planning our Colorado wedding from Dallas, and had to utilize reviews in order to find the right vendors for our wedding. Mike was thorough, courteous, and responsive throughout the entire process and made my life so much easier. He was organized, professional, and an absolute joy to work with. He traveled all the way to Estes Park and brought all of his own equipment. He had our guests dancing literally our entire reception. He kept the flow of the event very natural and it was an absolute blast. I had plenty of requests for music and each and every song on my list was played. Mike was great at keeping us informed of what was to come next during the reception (bouquet toss, cake cutting, etc) and we were able to relax and enjoy our party. DO NOT HESITATE to hire this DJ service. It will be the easiest decision you make for your wedding. Thank you, Mike!

My experience with Mile High Music Patrol has been nothing short of spectacular. We found them from doing trivia that they host at our local brewery, and MHMP actually helped me with my proposal via trivia at the brewery! It was awesome. Then we had them DJ/MC at our wedding and it was fantastic. I highly recommend using Mile High Music Patrol for any of your events as their services for us were a home run!

Hiring Micheal, with Mile High Music Patrol, i an amazing experience. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed. Our son and daughter in law were in Vail, for their destination dream wedding on a mountain top. We are from Texas., Hecand his assistant went above and beyond to help anyway there could. They should up early and he super patient with a very tight time line for setting up in two different spots. One on a mouthful top and the reception was on the bottom of the mountain. He and his assistant also helped me and Decorate for the reception he saw that I was super stressed I’m running out of time. He Knows how to keep all of the different events during the reception on tract and how to make it fun and get everyone dancing. We had a unfortunate issue with the bridal party running late b cause of their personal effects being taken and were found thank goodness. He adapt to any situation and knows what to do . We can’t think of enough for all of his contributions for helping us have a most memorable occasion if we had to do it all over again we would it wasn’t amazing . So do yourself a favor hire him you won’t regret it ,I promise!!!!
He also does destinations so we will be contacting him in the future for our daughter’s wedding so Micheal you’re coming to Texas ! 🤠

I cannot say enough good things about Michael! My mom helped me with a lot of my wedding planning, since I live out of state. She met him at a wedding show and was really impressed by him in person. She raved to me on the phone about how he works for a radio station and has a great 'radio/DJ' voice. He does! After my first phone call with him, I knew that he would be terrific! I had looked up about 20 questions to ask your DJ and he answered all of them patiently and thoroughly. The week of my wedding, we touched base to make sure that we had the same vision for the music, and I mentioned that we might want to add an extra hour to the reception. He was really flexible and told me that it would not be a problem and to keep him posted. When I confirmed the day before, he shared with me how excited he was to make our day perfect and he did!

I love to dance and it was really important to me that our guests have a great time. At our wedding, everyone danced until the end of the reception and had so much fun! Michael was also really in tune with our guests and kept the party going until the end of the night. I have been to a few weddings over the past year that did not have a lot of dancing because the music was not very easy to dance to and people had given up. I told Michael that I was worried about this and made up a play list of songs that I thought would get our guests on the dance floor. He did a wonderful job of combining some of my requested songs with ones that he knows work at weddings. He is really experienced, and I did not need to worry at all.

Michael helped make our wedding perfect, stayed focused on our experience the whole planning process and reception, and my family and guests all had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend Michael for anyone looking for a DJ for her wedding!

Absolutely Amazing! Was willing to meet us beforehand to discuss the wedding. Michael travelled to Salida for our wedding and kept the dance floor full the ENTIRE night. He played songs off of our "list", but was able to read the crowd and play his songs that he knew would keep people dancing. He was more than reasonably priced! I cannot say enough great things about them!!! Hire them!!!! You will not regret it!

We had the privilege of having Jake from Mile High Music Patrol DJ our wedding and couldn't have asked for a better DJ. The entire night he kept the right mix of music going and the dance floor was packed until the last song of the night. Our guest kept commenting the next day about how great our DJ was and how he did a great job of taking their requests throughout the night. If you're looking for a great DJ you won't go wrong booking Mile High Music Patrol.

I found this DJ at the Rocky Mountain Bridal Show and he owns his own company and has the best personality. Mike did a great job DJ'ing our wedding from the 1st to last dance. We asked him last-minute to stay late and he did. He had everyone out on the dance floor, accepted all song requests and had a variety of music. Very good pick!

We loved having Mile High Music Patrol DJ our wedding. They guided us through the song details and were completely self sufficient for set up. There were absolutely no technical issues or issues of any type. Most importantly - they were very fun! Music was great!

Michael was amazing. We booked him from North Dakota and he made it so easy to get everything taken care of and the music was so fun. It rained our whole wedding which was outside and he never stopped or complained and just kept going while playing "purple rain" lol. He was so professional and very personable and I would reccomend him for anyone getting married!!

When my husband and I met Michael we knew Mile High Music Patrol was the vendor for us! We are a couple that LOVES music. It was one of the most important elements to our wedding. When we met Michael he had a laid back vibe that really spoke to us. But the main thing that won us over was that he was Professional and he knew music. We were confident that Mile High Music Patrol was the company to rely on, A DJ that knew his business, someone that we didn't have to direct for the evening.
Michael has been in the industry for a long time, he has done countless weddings. He NEVER made us feel as though we were just another wedding. He asked us multiple questions to get to know us as a couple, He truly wanted to make sure our wedding was customized and perfect for us!
Mile High Music Patrol was flexible with our schedules for meetings and
Michael was AMAZING day of. We had two separate locations for the ceremony and reception.... he was at both seamlesly! Last minute our ceremony site told us we couldn't use any thing but accoustic music (mind you this was last minute and we had planned on using Michaels DJ's services) Michael saved the day by offering the idea of playing his music softly through a keyboard!(Now as a bride with plans this really won me over!) The best thing was that all of our guests commented on him, "who was your DJ, he was great!"

All in all, There are few vendors I rave about at my wedding, Michael was and is one of them! I would and continue to suggest Mile High Music Patrol to all of the Brides that come my way!

My husband and I appreciated absolutely EVERYTHING about the service we received. We booked with Mile High Music Patrol right away after meeting Michael at a bridal show, then after doing so, were were pretty last-minute with our planning. Considering we gave him most of the details 2-days before our wedding along with expanding our contracted time to earlier arrival and later departure than we originally agreed on, every last detail with our DJ went smoothly! Our ceremony was out in the middle of nowhere in the mtns, so having services for microphones and music was a MUST. Our wedding day was pure chaos and Michael was extremely punctual, independent, and professional. We had so many compliments from our guests regarding him playing ALL the requests. Kept everyone on the dance floor ALL NIGHT!!!

My husband and I hired Michael as our DJ for our wedding and could not have been more pleased! As people that love to dance and have a good time as well as the 165 people at our wedding Michael kept us on the dance floor all night! He listened to exactly the music we wanted (mix of Motown, Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Housten just to name a few) and took our wants and created an unforgettable playlist. He also took into account songs and genres we didn't want played and even when requested, respected our wishes and didn't play those songs. The music set the tone for our wedding exactly the way we wanted and we couldn't be happier about our decision to hire Michael! 100% would recommend to anyone who wants to have a fun night of dancing!

Amazing dj service!

Michael was an amazing choice for our wedding! He was so prepared and competent, and really generous with all the help he offered during the party— he coordinated with other vendors to stay on time, solved last minute issues and even pitched in to dry the rain off the porch to make the dance floor!! He was personable and kept everything on track without being a distraction from our incredible night. We had only 60 guests in my parents’ backyard and weren’t sure if a dj was necessary but Michael kept everyone dancing and having fun while the party still felt intimate and fit our casual style. AMAZING work for my wedding

We have booked Don over the many years we’ve known him and every single time he out performs the last- always diligent, always kind to work with, and so professional and GOOD at what he does. I’ve worked with many DJs in the past and they can be very very terrible very easily. But Don was a dream to work with for my wedding day and I’m so thankful we booked him! Michael was our DJ for our wedding and he did a fantastic job. He was very responsive through the whole process. He was very organized and it was obvious he had great experience. Hired these guys for our wedding and they did a great job. They were super communicative and helped organize the whole evening. Then, despite the evening going off schedule, Jake was super flexible and rolled with it, keeping the party going smoothly. He did a great job working in our music tastes and suggestions and building off of them. The dance floor was going hard the whole night, and we ended up adding another hour on the fly because it was so much fun and we didn't want to break up the party early! He did a great job with the light show, handled everything we threw at him, and I can't say enough good about our whole experience working with Michael and Jake.

Michael helped us have the night of our dreams!

Working with Michael at Mile High Music Patrol was one of the easiest and most pleasant parts of the wedding process. He was always responsive to emails, texts, and calls in the weeks leading up to the wedding. He also walked through the reception timeline with us, incorporating all of our requests and making thoughtful suggestions. On the wedding day, Michael demonstrated the upmost professionalism by arriving early for setup and working well with other vendors. He nailed every aspect of the reception including the cocktail hour, grand entrance, dinner music, toasts, cake cutting, and especially the dancing. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! I received a ton of comments from guests saying they loved the DJ and had a blast dancing. He was also very flexible and accommodated last minute changes on the day of the wedding. Don't think twice - Go with Mile High Music Patrol!

Last weekend Michael DJ'd our wedding and did a fantastic job! Michael was incredibly responsive before the wedding date, and met with me twice. Once at our wedding venue and once over zoom, just to make sure we were on the same page about everything. I put together a music list that I wanted Michael to adhere to throughout our wedding day. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception... And he followed it to a tee, which is exactly what I wanted! On our wedding day, he arrived early. His announcements were great throughout the night, which I already knew were going to be great because he had no problem showing me what they sounded like before the wedding day! He told me his list of do's and don'ts for every wedding he DJ's which included. 1) Do arrive early 2) Do come prepared 3) and don't mess up. He definitely accomplished all 3!! I would 10/10 recommend Mile High Music Patrol to any of my friends or family. I don't really need to though - they were dancing with me on the dance floor until the end of the night!

Michael was awesome for us from the get go. He met with us months before the wedding because we were very particular about our playlists and wanted to be completely organized about it. He stayed in contact with us whenever we wanted to make changes leading up to the event as well. On game day, he flat out rocked it. Michael was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only did he nail the vibe of the entire evening from ceremony, to dinner, to dancing, he also was above and beyond flexible. We had to last minute move inside for the wedding and it required a "scene" change mid event. We asked if we would mind DJ'ing from an upstairs balcony for the ceremony and we would then move him downstairs for dancing and he was more than cooperative. He took care of everything for us from timing to arranging his station.

We cannot recommend him enough and hope other couples get to enjoy such a wonderful day because of amazing vendors like Michael!

Michael was amazing, he was everything we hoped for in a DJ and more! We had our wedding at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and we had three different floors that required audio (and one visual for the slideshow.) Michael was prepared, professional, funny, and even did all the announcing of the bridal party for us! He smiled and genuinely had a good time the whole night, which I think made a difference in how much fun our guests were able to have! We didn't finish until around 11PM and when he left he was still smiling and kind, he made our night so much better than it could have potentially been if we had gone with someone else. Helpful, professional, kept the party going!

Michael was wonderful to work with. When we had to cancel our 2020 wedding due to COVID he was flexible about a date and venue change for our rescheduled 2021 wedding. We had our reception in our backyard, and we wondered if people would still want to dance since it was a much more casual affair. Michael had people on the floor all night! He even had some dance floor lights to make it feel like a party. Throughout the night Michael would checkin with us to confirm when we wanted to cut the cake, have our first dance, etc. He also checked in when my grandmother requested a genre of music that was on our do not play list. I appreciated that he asked if it was ok rather than telling her, “no”. We had a wonderful reception and everyone had a blast, that was in large part to Michael’s ability to read the crowd and play music to suit the vibe.

I also appreciated his thoroughness during our pre-wedding meeting. He asked questions, and went over details I hadn’t considered. It made me feel confident that the day would go off without a hitch.

I would recommend Michael to anyone and everyone without hesitation!

I cannot say enough good things about Michael and Mile High Music Patrol. Going with Michael was one of the easier decisions for me to make regarding wedding planning. He was very professional and easy going. He sent us an outline to pick some of the more important songs, and was very flexible about making changes when needed. There was nothing complicated about it - he even called the venue for me to see if they had some of the things he needed so I didn't have to!

Day of, the music was on point! People danced until the end. I got so many compliments about how much people enjoyed the music, the dancing, and the wedding. One of my favorite moments was listening to him announce the bridal party, and then us, into the reception with the music. I would definitely recommend Michael to DJ any wedding!

The day of the ceremony, there were some changes and Michael absolutely worked around them and made sure the dance floor was still amazing! We spoke on the phone and his music choices during the wedding demonstrated he listened and truly understood what my now-husband and I were looking for. Loved working with him!

My new husband and I hired Mile High Music Patrol for our wedding in May 2018. We worked with Michael Collins the owner, and he was our DJ for the day of. Everything went perfectly! We met with Michael months before the wedding date and enjoyed our conversation with him. He was upbeat, positive and easy to work with. He answered all our questions. He also met with the bride and groom via Zoom and they liked that he would work with their requests. He did an incredible job during the ceremony and reception, very professional.

The wedding was so fun and everyone was dancing because of the music choices. Michael Collins from Mile High Music Patrol was so helpful with finding the songs we wanted and keeping the wedding flowing. We have used them twice now and have been very happy with the service and pricing.

Jake did a fantastic job DJing our wedding. He is so personable and "go with the flow" plus he was invaluable to the whole timing and planning process in order to ensure everyone knew where to go and what to do during the big day. Definitely a 10/10.

I worked with Michael and Jake for my wedding in July 2018 at Meadow Creek Lodge. They were both amazing! My initial meeting with Michael was great, he is very easy going and made our decision easy. We met once before the wedding to go over things with both Michael and Jake. They were very on top of things and organized. Our wedding day was amazing. Mike kept our guests on the dance floor all night, which was amazing! Moving from the ceremony to the reception was flawless. Our outdoor ceremony was rained out, but Mike helped us move the ceremony indoors with ease.

DJ selection was left to my husband he did a great job by retaining Mile High Music Patrol at a wedding expo we attended. Ultimatel,y we were looking for someone that would help ensure the dance floor was always the place to be. Michael did just that! From the initial consult before our wedding, right through the clean up, he was the consumate professional. If there were any hiccups, they were not obvious to me. Thank you Michael!

Responsiveness was great via phone. Every time we called to ask questions or discuss our day, he answered right away or called back the same day. He also seemed very professional which is one of the reasons why we originally booked him. My biggest hesitation with MHMP is that I gave MHMP a full schedule of the reception, which included what song I wanted to be played for special moments (e.g. cake cutting, garter toss, last song of the night, etc.). It was clear he did not read this at all, and he didn't even have it out and accessible during the evening to reference, which is extremely unprofessional. During my bouquet toss he decided to play "Single Ladies" which I do not like, when I had requested "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" on our schedule. I let it slide and didn't say anything, because it's not something you can change right then, but when the end of the night came, he started to play a slow and terrible "last song" and I had to go ask him "is this the last song? because this isn't what I requested." His response was "Oh I'm sorry (meaningfully)! What did you request?" and I said "It's on my schedule" - then he went digging through all of his papers and eventually found my schedule. I also asked him to play "elevator/cocktail" music after the reception ended (but still before the end of our contracted time), so that people could leave without feeling like the room was empty and quiet, and instead he just popped up and packed up and left without playing cocktail music (even though I paid for that time). During our prep meetings I had asked Michael (the DJ) not to speak much during the reception and I got the feeling that he wasn't happy with this request. Perhaps this translated into his lack of attention during the night. In general, Michael is a really nice guy and he played decent music, but I expected smoother music transitions and for him to execute my few major requests.
