Simply Incredible Team! Great Food and Wedding Planning Services

Our wedding day was absolutely amazing, and a huge part of that was thanks to this incredible team. From start to finish, everything—from the food to the rentals to the planning process—was seamless and beyond our expectations.

Our guests are still talking about the food! Every detail felt thoughtful and elevated. One of my personal favorite touches was the diced apples on the raw oysters—such a unique and delicious surprise. My husband loved the Cubans and bacon-wrapped dates, and the fish was a huge hit across the board. Truly, every dish was outstanding.

We also have to give a very special shoutout to Savanah. She was phenomenal throughout the entire planning process and made sure every detail was perfectly executed on the day of. She is kind, professional, and such a joy to work with—it made the entire experience feel easy and stress-free.

10/10 would use again!!!

From start to finish, our experience with Milan was nothing short of spectacular. We had the honor of having them cater our wedding at the beautiful Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota, Florida, on 10/10/2025, and they truly exceeded all expectations.

**Planning & Communication:**
From the very beginning, Erin was an absolute joy to work with. She made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free, responding promptly to every question and ensuring that every detail was taken care of. Her guidance helped us feel confident and excited about the menu choices, and she was always open to customizing dishes to fit our vision. Wedding costs can be incredibly daunting and intimidating, but with Erin there were no sneaky hidden fees and she was completely upfront and honest with costs. The best part for us was that everything is written out in an itemized list so you know what you are getting and what else you will need to rent (which she was great in helping us coordinate additional rentals).

**The Food:**
The team led by chefs Nick & Kaleb brought the flavors to life in the most impressive way. Every dish was crafted with care and an undeniable passion for food. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were even more incredible. It was clear that a lot of thought and expertise went into creating a menu that was not only beautiful but also perfectly suited to our tastes. During our initial tasting they really listened to everything that we wanted and made suggestions on what would work better for our vision and on our wedding day they made it all come to life. The portions were LARGE so our guests felt well fed. When we walked around after dinner people were literally scraping their plates clean and the next day we got so many compliments on our food choices.

**Service & Execution:**
Logan, our Lead Captain, was exceptional in managing the event. He was always professional, attentive, and made sure the timing was perfect throughout the evening. We could tell that the entire team does this all the time because everything went seamlessly, if there were any hiccups, my husband and I had no knowledge of it. We had to make some changes due to weather the morning of the event and the team was quick and efficient in making everything look even better than we anticipated. As the bride, I felt like the staff was extremely attentive not only to our entire guest list, but especially to the wedding party. Staff was constantly making sure that the bridal party was getting appetizers and drinks while we were pulled away for pictures.

We are so grateful to Milan Catering for their impeccable service, incredible food, and flawless execution. They helped make our wedding day perfect, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking to take their event to the next level.

Wonderful experience from start to finish and delicious food!

We hired Simply Gourmet for our April 2024 wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate and we couldn't have been happier with their service from start to finish. Becky was organized, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with during the entire planning process - and went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. Their menus are great with tons of options to appeal to any guest, and the food at our wedding was absolutely delicious - from the cocktail hour through our meal. Bar service was also great and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy and had a great day.

Simply Exceptional

There aren’t enough adjectives to describe how wonderful Milan made our daughter’s wedding. Our original contact was Erin who was very responsive and thorough, not to mention making us feel at ease from the very beginning. And then there was our coordinator Melanie Sommerschuh. Melanie was so kind and thoughtful and thorough. We met her the day before the wedding and by the end of the wedding she felt like family. She handled everything for us so all we had to do was enjoy the wedding.
If you are fortunate enough to have Melanie as your coordinator, you’re in good hands for sure.
And oh yeah, the food was excellent also.

Fantastic experience with Milan - highly recommend!

I'd give 6 stars if I could - Chef Roberta was incredible in every aspect, from menu design, accommodating dietary restrictions, and delivering on an incredible meal. Everyone RAVED about the food - from the hors d'oeuvres to the entrees to the desserts; the service was amazing; the setup was perfect; and Milan made everything so easy! Erin from the St. Pete office was absolutely a delight to work with. I HIGHLY highly recommend Milan, Chef Roberta, and Erin!

An absolute dream!

Working with Erin and the Milan Team was the best vendor experience we had. Erin is such a thoughtful person and truly was the deciding factor on why we went with Milan for Catering. From reserving our date to booking our tasting and our wedding day, Milan made us feel so special every step of the way. They pay attention to the small details - ie. During the tasting, my husband said he liked cheese on his vegetables. Come wedding day, his broccoli showed up with cheese on it, just for him. The price truly reflects the quality they deliver in food and service and we couldn’t be happier with our decision.

Outstanding food and service!

We had chefs Roberta and Nick and lead Melanie and our wedding was absolutely amazing. Multiple guests commented that it was the best wedding food they ever had. Service was so fast and food was hot and delicious. Staff was also so sweet and accommodating. Plus I love that they assign someone to bring the couple appetizers if they are taking pictures during cocktail hour. Our contact Erin was also unbelievable throughout the entire process and many many emails. You will not regret hiring them for your wedding!

They made one dream wedding come true

Is it possible to give them more than 5 stars?! I cannot speak enough words of praise. We planned a destination wedding and when I reached out to Milan Catering they brought me nothing but peace of mind. From the first contact they are sincere and caring. They listen and make sure to attend to your requests. Erin was always quick to respond and attentive. The chef’s food is beyond amazing. Melt in your mouth best food you’ll ever have. Laura Snow as a wedding planner…wow just wow. For an OCD planner like myself it was mind blowing to have someone you can completely rely and trust and just enjoy your day as you should. Shonni who was bartending (but also wedding plans) also was with me moments before going down the aisle and put me at ease, made me laugh and smile then was AMAZING to all our guests. Luke was our bridal Server and made sure we were taken care of during photos. Giving us all the hors d’oeuvres and being so attentive. I mean…what bridal party likes to miss out on the food and drinks for photos…we didn’t have to! Zach who was our senior event manager and made sure it went off without a hitch. The comments more people make about our wedding is wishing to have a service like Milan Catering in Peoria. They made our wedding a true true fairy tale. More than we could have imagined.

Best caterer and THE Greatest wedding planner

Milan catering was truly nothing less than delicious. They did such an amazing job with our wedding that most of our guests have contacted up separately to inform us on how great the food was and how amazing our day of coordinator was! My husband and I are truly so lucky to have hired Milan Catering and MORE IMPORTANTLY Laura Snow! Fantastic Food & Customer Service

Erin and Chef Roberta were fantastic to work with start to finish. Erin was always extremely quick to respond and had a ton of helpful suggestions. We had a great tasting where we picked our menu and place settings. Everyone raved about how good our food was. And I have to agree. The wait staff was excellent and made sure my husband and I got plenty of the cocktail hour appetizers and large plates of dinner (and extra apps!). Would book them again in a heartbeat. While this was the most costly part of our wedding, it was well worth it. And they came in below many other well known caterers in the area for comparable menus.

Fantastic!

Our wedding venue required that we use one of their approved vendors. When we researched Milan, we found that they had the largest selection of appetizers and entrees, and based on their sparkling reviews, we hired them on the spot (without even tasting their food). Erin, our catering coordinator, was excellent to work with. She walked us through the entire process and made numerous revisions to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. She was super responsive and happy to answer any questions we had.

Fast forward to the day of our wedding - mind. blown! The food was INCREDIBLE! Like not just good food, but great food. We had your standard steak/chicken/fish options. Steak - the bomb. Chicken - the bomb. Salmon - the bomb. We really enjoyed the tableside service, where our guests were able to order their meals from the menu, and it was prepared on site. It was a nice, added touch that I think really elevated the dining experience.

Milan also offers linens, chairs and other event rentals, which we found convenient. Erin walked us through all of our options for table design on the day of our tasting, and it all turned out beautifully!

Catching up with people days after the wedding, they're all raving about the food and desserts. Chef Roberta was kind enough to visit our table to say hi and make sure we were enjoying everything. Milan might also have some of the nicest staff in the business. Seriously, they were all smiles and super friendly - we loved it. We can't say enough about Milan and their excellent service. Highly recommend!

Could not imagine my wedding day without them!

Laura, my day of coordinator from Milan Catering, was absolutely amazing! She made sure that EVERYTHING went smoothly and according to schedule. The wedding started on time and everything after that worked perfectly. Laura went above and beyond the entire night working with the photographer and videographer, ensuring that my husband and I had everything that we needed, and even taking extra pictures and sending them over to me the following morning. I even caught her helping the servers at one point during dinner! I would re-hire her in a heartbeat. The wedding would not have been the same without her help!

Milan Catering and Laura Snow are the best in the business!

Milan Catering is simply amazing!! The staff were so incredibly attentive and made sure all of our guests needs were met with speed and smiles! The food was incredibly delicious. Having been a guest at many weddings before attending my own, the food is not something I tend to remember about the event... I can guarantee that this will not be the case for your guests if you choose to go with Milan! One of my favorite parts about working with this vendor was being able to select a “restaurant style” service where guests get to choose their meal the day of the event instead of selecting ahead of time. This felt really luxurious and our guests were so pleased. The team at Milan Catering is also very flexible and accommodating. We asked for a poultry dish that was not offered in the catering menu and the chefs had no issue with it whatsoever! We got so many compliments on the beautiful desserts and appetizers during the cocktail hour. Lastly, as a couple on your wedding day you will hardly get the chance to take breaks between events on the timeline and Milan ensured that no matter what we were up to they were right there serving us newlyweds whatever delicious food was being served up to our guests. If all of these details aren’t convincing enough, go through and read the thousands of other stellar reviews this catering company has received! Top Notch Catering and Wedding Planning

WOW! Can’t say enough about our experience with Milan. Laura Snow is a one of a kind wedding professional. She planned our daughter’s wedding in April of 2021 and I couldn’t be more impressed with how she handled the wedding weekend. Laura brings happiness, positivity and valuable experience to a somewhat overwhelming process. She seamlessly made sure the day of the wedding was organized, timely and SO MUCH FUN! And the food~ let’s just say that our guests said the family style food served table side was the best wedding food they ever had. Any family who has planned a wedding during COVID can attest to the additional stress of shifting dates and ever changing restrictions, yet Laura and chef Roberta kept us upbeat and on track....and truly helped our kids to have the wedding of their dreams! All guests loved this caterer

Excellent caterer. Food was delicious and cooked to specification. Service too was top notch. Portion sizes were good. As we all know, this is not always the case with wedding food. Every guest felt compelled to let us know how enjoyable the entire experience was. It’s also really great that Milan is able to accommodate dinner selections onsite rather than needing to know ahead of time. We got some “style points” with guests for this. Chef Roberta is also an extremely pleasant person to be around. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting and other interactions with the entire team. Would highly recommend.

Immaculate Service & Planning

Milan catered our wedding at The Powel Crosley Estate on 11-22-20. We are from Memphis so we were planning a wedding from quite a ways away.
Laura worked with us every step of the way and was very understanding about time frames as we could only come down to Sarasota a few times. From our initial appointment, we immediately knew that we wanted them to cater our event. It was clear that they knew what they were doing and that we were in good hands. One of the most important ways that Milan made us feel, was heard. There are so many decisions to make and to have a vendor that cares and listens was so important.
The food is AMAZING. They worked with us to find a plan that fit our needs. We were able to mix and match food plans and alcohol plans that fit us and our guests. They work hard to make sure that any dietary restrictions are met and have plenty of options for all types of eaters! We still think about the food we had on our day!
Apart from the food, their staff was professional, kind, and helpful throughout the entire process and day. They floated about and made sure everyone was taken care of. One of my favorite things they had for us was that they have a bridal party server who makes sure we had drinks and got to enjoy our cocktail hour appetizers while we were taking pictures. They truly think of everything!

Amazing service, exceeded expectations

We hired Milan Catering for our destination wedding and I’m so glad we did. We also hired Laura for day of coordination and we couldn’t have pulled it off without her. She kept our very large family and bridal party on task and on time and always made sure my husband and I had a drink in our hand. She also performed emergency bustle surgery when I lost a few buttons dancing too hard. And she did all this with a smile on her face. Very grateful for her! She truly went above and beyond. And the food was delicious as was the cake. All our guests were fans.

Amazing!

I cannot say enough good thinks about Milan Catering and Laura Snow! Guests are still raving about how amazing the food was and how quick it came out. I was nervous about having a plated meal, however Milan Catering did not skip a beat.
Laura is an absolutely incredible day of coordinator. I cannot even begin to explain how much she did for my husband, family, and I during our wedding day and leading up to it. Laura can really do and handle it all. She sewed my dress after a latch on the back of it broke. Our mirrored seating chart that I had DIYed got knocked over by the wind at the venue and found a replacement and remade the whole mirror before the wedding and I had NO IDEA. The list truly goes on and on, on how Laura went absolutely above and beyond. We cannot thank her enough for being a HUGE part of our wedding day that was out of our wildest dreams.

Helped me plan my dream wedding in 6 weeks!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I contacted Milan Catering and began working with Erin to plan my wedding in 6 SHORT WEEKS. Erin was an angel and was so helpful throughout the entire process. My wedding was really a dream. On top of that, the Chef (& owner) was incredible and so accommodating. She went above and beyond and even ordered extra rosemary for my place setting because I mentioned how much I love rosemary at my tasting. From the menu to the string lights and everything else in between, Milan Catering took care of it all and made it so easy. From day one, they showed spectacular customer service, and I wouldn't have been able to pull off my dream wedding in six weeks without them. Would recommend them over and over again!

Fabulous Wedding Caterer

The choice of Milan Catering was one of the best decisions I made regarding my wedding. I waivered on using a Wedding Coordinator and I'm so happy I did. Laura made all the difference in my stress levels. Coming from out of town, I didn't have to deal with any of the small details, she contacted all of my vendors, set a perfect timeline, kept drinks in our hands all night and sent me a ton of pictures and videos after the fact. The food was magnificent and the entire staff were so great to work with! I highly recommend Milan and Laura to anyone hoping for a seamless day!

We had the best time working with Milan Catering, Erin was absolutely wonderful helping us make decisions from start to finish. Planning a wedding throughout 2020 was no easy task, but they were helpful, flexible and a pleasure to work with. Milan Catering was by far the best bank for our buck in choosing our wedding caterers. Their packages truly go above and beyond to make sure their clients special day's decor, food, and whole experience is as beautiful, delicious, and remarkable as possible. It was truly easy to see in the ways in which they conducted business, that they truly care about the work that they do! Couldn't have dreamed of better caterer!

If I could give 100 stars I would! Our wedding was at powel crosley estate and we had Laura as our coordinator. Everything went absolutely flawlessly! The food was SO perfect! And the bartenders were ready to party! We had mahi mahi and was no doubt one of the best pieces of fish I have ever had, and all the sides and apps were excellent as well! Everything came out hot and on time, and they even took special requests for food allergies. Thank you milan catering for making our day so special! :)

Excellent Service and Food

Our guests are still talking about how great our wedding reception meal was. The planning team was attentive through out the planning process and always answered our questions. On the day of, the staff did an excellent job flipping the room betweendinner and dancing and making sure our guests had everthing they needed. We'd recommend Milan Catering to everyone!

Amazing food!

Chef Roberta knocked it out of the park!! We had an outdoor wedding with 100 guest at the Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota. The food was hot, presented in a timely manner, and delicious. The portions were huge! The appetizers and late night bites were hearty and yummy! Our guest did not go hungry and neither did our bridal party. The company assigns a server for the bridal party during the pictures which is a nice added bonus. Chef Roberta also made up for the mistakes of another vendor by giving us a beautiful upgrade. (see pictures of our beautiful tablescapes) The company was very flexible with our signature drinks and grooms cake. The lighting for our outdoor ceremony was also amazing which we booked this through Milan (see images). Laura Snow was our wedding coordinator and she was AMAZING!! She made sure we stayed on track during the wedding. Even our guest made comments about how they could tell we hired a coordinator because of how flawlessly the events transitioned through out the night. Laura stayed until our grand exit and she made sure my tiara stayed on, it had become loose from all of the dancing haha. Laura also made sure that my wishes were met such as no late guest during the ceremony and she had back up plans for everything! Laura is also a great presence to have with you right before walking down the aisle. Laura has truly found her calling and was meant to be a wedding coordinator! :

Everyone loved the food!

Erin and the whole Milan Catering team did an incredible job!! All of our guests were raving about the food, from appetizers to dessert bar, during and after our wedding. Outstanding food and service

My daughter, Lindsay, was married at the Powell Crosley estate, and we had a perfect evening. All of the credit goes to Laura Snow, our day of coordinator. She is phenomenal!
Laura is there to guide you from the beginning, assisting with the multitude of decisions that must be made. She is patient, kind and sincere, handling all of our questions with ease.
On the day of, she is everything you could possibly need and more. She makes sure that everything runs smoothly. We had a threat of rain, and she had plan B, just in case. She is ready for any complication that may arise.
The food was AMAZING!!! We did family style for our guests, and it was perfect. I was thrilled to see the steam coming off of all of the platters as they were served. It was hot and delicious. All of our guests commented on how yummy the food was.
We had a perfect night, I couldn't ask for anything more!

Amazing Service Start to Finish

Milan Catering went above and beyond beginning to end. We got a handwritten thank you note immediately after booking, they were all so sweet during the tasting, and really just made the day run so smoothly. My guests not only commented on how great the food was they also couldn’t say more great things about the staff! They were polite and friendly start to finished and provided the best service. Powel Crosley 05.03.2019

We highly value sharing meals together with friends and family so it was important to us to select a caterer with stellar food. Chef Roberta and Co. absolutely exceeded our expectations with delicious food and courteous service throughout our event at the Powel Crosley.

During the food tasting, Roberta gave us ample time and space to sample each offering and shared great insights concerning menu selection. Once we had finished the main course tasting, we knew this was the caterer for our event. Though we had many months inbetween our tasting and wedding, Milan was very communicative regarding changes to the proposal. Changes requested or errors found in the proposal were amended in a timely manner.

Our wedding at the Powel could not have gone any smoother for our guests or us thanks largely in part to Milan’s staff! Everything was set up correctly and in a very timely manner, all according to the schedule we had coordinated with our vendors. After saying our I-Do’s, the appetizers were passed around garnering high remarks from our guests. Favorite Appetizers: Guava Tarts and White Fish Ceviche

We had selected family style dinner (highly recommend) for our event and couldn’t have been more pleased with the portions for each table. In conversations with our guests, all of the main courses were wonderful (Skirt Steak, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, and Seafood Paella). Favorite Main Courses: Grilled Skirt Steak with Chimichurri (paired with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes) and Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Mango Salsa (paired with Plantains)

We can’t attest enough how wonderful it was to have hired a day of coordinator If you choose to do so, we highly recommend requesting to work with Emily! Emily was assigned to us within weeks of our wedding due to our original coordinator no longer working for Milan. From the first time we spoke to her, she was supportive and reassuring all things would go off without a hitch. She was phenomenal with vendor coordination, taking care of the wedding party, and ensuring all details moved along smoothly from set-up to reception. She allowed us to focus on enjoying our big day to the fullest. I wish that we could’ve worked with Emily from the time we hired Milan for our wedding.

In hindsight, the biggest letdowns we had concerned a few details surrounding the cake. Though Milan did not make the cake, they handled the coordination between the baker (Cakes by Ron) and us. When the original proposal was issued, the cake estimate was based off a standard inspiration photo not selected by us. Once we found a cake style, the proposal was updated with a $50 dollar increase due to cake being “taller” despite no real measurements ever being discussed and the styles being very similar. After the wedding, a few guests mentioned that cake slices were huge, so not all people received a piece of cake. That being said, the cake looked great and was scrumptious.

Overall, I would recommend Milan Catering and Events for your event as they were prompt, professional, and the food was absolutely delicious.

Food and wedding planning

Milan catering was exceptional in every way! The food and desserts were delicious! We got many compliments on how great the dinner and cupcakes were! Emily was our wedding coordinator and was the best!!! She made our day great! Everything ran perfect and smoothly thanks to her! There was even a unexpected thunderstorm that required us to move our dance floor inside and the transition was easy thanks to her. She was excellent! Our Wedding was a Dream Come True

I only have wonderful things to say about Erin and the entire team at Milan Catering! We met at a Bridal Show and while we were skeptical about the unknown, they sure did deliver an incredible "performance"! Our wedding was a literal dream come true. The communication was open and fluid, and the team was incredibly helpful during the entire process. From the linens to the centerpieces, the apps to the entrees, everything was amazing. My flowers were absolutely perfect! And while this all may sound like hyperbole, its not. I cannot thank the team enough for what they have done to make our special day even that much better.

Stick to food

The food and service was outstanding. Sunken Gardens farmed the beverage service to them as they had another e ent scheduled and unfortunately Milan let us down here. They charges us an extra $250 to extend bar service an hour then ran out of beer and gin and shut down early. When we asked for the $250 back they said they opened early. Yes they gave the groomsmen 7 beers early. Very unfortunate response and a dark side of a beautiful day. They should stick to food that was great

DELICIOUS! Hard-working! Satisfactory!

We hired Milan Catering for our Nov 2018 Wedding in Clearwater. From the very first meeting, Chef Roberta was wonderful! She had specially made appetizers and entrees I had picked to try. My mom and I went to Milan's space in St. Pete which was lovely, clean, and professional. It was there we privately got to taste the freshly made bites. Chef Roberta was accommodating from the get-go, and even stated "if you don't like something it won't hurt my feelings, I know everyone's taste buds are different." Most everything we tried was so tasty! She had great suggestions and our meeting truly made choosing Milan an easy decision! We had previously met with different caterers that will not let you taste something you want to try ahead of time- you taste what they have readily available. That is unacceptable, and frankly ridiculous. We wanted our guests to have great food and full bellies! We didn't want your typical "wedding food" that was lukewarm and somewhat edible. Milan exceeded our already high expectations. What beautiful and delicious food they provided for our wedding!! Our guests raved about the amazing food! From the appetizers to the salad and especially the main course- everything was top notch! We had decided on a plated dinner, and it really gave the event a classy touch. The wait staff was outstanding!! Roberta even helped cut the cake for my wedding guests. She and her employees are all so helpful! I am so glad we went with Milan! Food is an important part of any wedding, and you should pick the best to give you and your guests and unforgettable time! Thank you Chef Roberta, and Milan staff!!!

Where to start! Milan catering was a delight to work work. Erin truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail, apprehension, styling question, etc was answered efficiently and honestly. Erin was able to pick up on the exact vision and vibe I was going to after just a brief conversation. She kept us on track and relaxed at all times. We ran into inclement weather which was unexpected and Chef Roberta and her team sprang into action making sure the dinner went off without a hitch and the food was delicious. Anastasia and her team at Milan Catering were absolutely amazing to work with! The food was akin to a 5 star restaurant and their presentation was great! We got married at the Powel Crosley and went with Milan Catering. They were absolutely perfect in every way. Laura our wedding planer was so much help both with the planing and on the day of our wedding. She was hands on with everything - from watching out for my little girls to even lending me a shoulder to hang on when getting dressed. We couldn't have done it with out her. We miss Laura and everyone from Milan catering already :) The food was delicious and even though we had "budget" decorations Laura made the dining room look gorgeous!! Outstanding service and you cant go wrong with choosing Milan catering.

Milan Catering was exceptional! I have nothing but great things to say from the planning all the way through the day of the wedding. We had never planned a wedding before but we were assisted by Erin O’keefe who went above and beyond for us. We had an amazing experience with her and would highly recommend requesting her (if possible). She was very responsive and easily accessible. She assisted us in planning and pointed out things that we had not thought of (since we had never done this before) all the while keeping in mind the style of the wedding that we wanted. She was extremely detail oriented and made sure that we had everything planned out perfectly from the plates/silverware to the food selection to creating the cake exactly as we requested.
In regards to the chefs, ALL of the guests were raving about the food which was both delicious and aesthetically charming. I would highly recommend Milan to anyone looking for wedding catering and/or any other events!

10/21/2017 - Wedding Event at Crosley Estate. Overall, based on Guests’ input & our personal experience, there was not a better example of Perfection. Milan Catering represented an integral component of the whole part. Milan Catering without a doubt delivered Exceptional Expertise & Class to our event. Milan truly offers an amazing & diversified selection of food options as well as table decors. All Food was marvelous! Commitment, knowledge & positive energy is evident from Chef Roberta & her staff ! Chef Roberta is clearly the driver and technician of the Milan bus. Aside from her genuine smile and welcoming manner, it is clear she does the work as much as she speaks it. That went miles for us. Chef Roberta & her assisting Chefs were involved from the beginning of the meal planning to the end. Her servers did wonderful and her staff are pleasant & helpful. We did not use the wedding planning services of the business, as the planners were already booked ! Anastasia did assist us through basics such as vendor coordination for lighting & furniture as well as linens, tables, etc. She was nice & helpful in explaining things to me to aid in decisions.
Powel Crosley Estate is a stunning Historic venue right in our own backyard of Manatee/Sarasota Counties. The beauty of this venue speaks for itself & does not necessitate a high level of décor. What is important for this venue is the quality of the food & the basic serving and hosting environment. For our table settings, we selected copper vintage glass charger plates paired with copper flatware. Simple, Vintage and Elegant!! Milan catering literally astounded my friends and family with the flavor and quality of their food! During our cocktail hour they kept the passed hors d'oeuvres coming, surprising the guests with a truly international experience.
After the guests were seated for a family style feast Milan and their staff blew my guests and I away and made the evening one we won’t soon forget!!

Delicous food. Chef Roberta and her team were so helpful for our reception. We chose family style for our dinner and letting everyone try all of the food just made the evening perfect. AND... we loved thier cupcakes!

Loved the idea that they could do it all. Food was amazing, as delicious as what we had for the tasting. We really appreciate their ability to adjust the schedule (raindrops) for the day of and move dinner up when the clouds came in. We highly recommend their wedding cakes and desserts, just the right thing to top it off! Put this company on your list.

I can't express enough how amazing everyone at Milan Catering is! Erin, Anastasia and Chef Roberta made our wedding effortless and made our classic, rustic vision come to life. They didn't hesitate when we chose a unique brewery location and every aspect of the reception looked exactly as we imagined. To top it all off, besides making delicious food, Chef Roberta was amazing with my son. So that I could do my bridal entrance, Chef Roberta stopped what she was doing to soothe him and he was asleep in seconds! I highly recommend Milan Catering for all your catering, wedding planning and babysitting needs!! Above and beyond!

It's been a little over two weeks since our wedding and our guests are still telling us how great the food was (family style)! Wow! We worked with Erin, who was a great communicator and super easy to work with! We made many changes to our proposal over the course of the year, but Erin was always prompt and helpful. Our tasting with Erin and Chef Roberta was also noteworthy because they let you taste the entire menu to make sure you are satisfied with the meal. Milan also handled our liquor catering, and many of our guests commented on the great service from the bartenders! Thank you so much for the great memories!!!

Milan Catering is AMAZING!

My husband and I are a multi-cultural couple and we really wanted a caterer who could incorporate both Asian and Spanish food into our cocktail and reception menu. Milan Catering did just that and the food was incredible. We still get raves about how delicious the food was.

During your menu tasting, they adjust the food to however you specify and they make suggestions of food to compliment one another.

They work with your budget and they try to be as accommodating as possible. They worked with our venue without any issues and everything went smoothly. Remember, you get what you pay for and this team will not let you down on great service and great food.

Wow!!!!! It's so amazing when you find an honest and tremendous company that exemplifies genuine and sincere love to making sure that you have an amazing wedding. Chef Roberta is simply one of a kind. She has shown and expressed so much generosity towards my wife and I. Her staff is exceptional to work with and ideally the best in the business hands down. My wife and I got married at the Powell Crosley Estate and we had a vision that we wanted to showcase on our special day and it was tough on our end to get all of that done. Not only, did Chef Roberta guide us in the right direction, but also granted us the wedding of our dreams by bringing our vision into fruition. We can't express how much gratitude and genuine appreciation that we have for her and her staff. Not only was the food soooooooooo good. Again, the food was soooooooooo good that everyone was asking for seconds lol. More so, that was a highlight of the night. Hands down the best decision we made was hiring Milan to cater our wedding in July 2016. They are the most genuine team to work with and plan, especially in less than 8 weeks. Our menu appealed to the sophisticated guests while still keeping it authentic to our culture. Planning our wedding was a major, major effort with probably to much (but necessary) follow ups to our questions. We were truly impressed with their staff as they quickly responded to my emails and phone calls and generously worked within our budget to really make the day special. You could see their passion in food and planning and since they cater so many weddings at the Crosley, their experience proved invaluable. Above everything else, the food was amazing and the variety of choices just made the guests really enjoy the dinner. Thank you again !

Milan Catering was truly wonderful. We tried the family service for our large reception. Loved it. The guests kept coming up explaining how delicious the food was and how they would not have tried it except for the platters coming to the tables, even the less than adventuresome ones. We are foodies, so this was one of our highlights, eating and sharing food with our guests. Overall, they pretty much do it all. That was so appreciated as I had so many ideas and so little time. AND it all came out great. Can't recommend them more.

Great food, great staff. We are very hands on and they helped us with all of the details and planning to get it just right. Our original day of coordinator got sick (cancer - so sad) so we ended up with a new one and she was just as sweet, organized and calm as our original planner. The day of was perfect and our parents were thrilled that they could just enjoy the day and not have to worry about anything. At the end of the evening, they helped pack up everything in the cars which was a bit much for my older parents to handle by themselves. Wonderful catering company to work with! I would give them ten stars if I could.

We recently used Milan Catering for our wedding at the Powell Crosley Estate. We were so happy with our food, it was absolutely delicious. Beautifully prepared. We had multiple compliments on how everything was so good and served so timely. The food came out warm (just right) which is important. Milan also helped us with event design, they provided linens, chairs, lighting, etc. I loved that I could do so much all within one vendor. I can't say enough good things about the food. The only thing that I was not 100% happy with was that the table linens were not pressed which surprised me, there were pretty significant fold creases. Overall however, I was very happy with Milan and would recommend them to others. The food was incredible and so beautifully prepared!

Milan was the absolute best, not just for our catering but all the things wedding related which seems to be a dauntless. The entire team were so professional, personable and friendly and had such great suggestions with our endless ideas. We tried a few caterers before Milan, the others offered a tasting but would charge a fee, unless you ended up signing with them. When I asked Chef Roberta what the fee was for our tasting, she said the fee was to come, eat and enjoy! When we asked other caterers to swap our dishes for our tasting (we are foodies), we either got a flat out NO or the distinct impression that we were only allowed this one change and again, where was their fee. From Milan, any change we asked for was met with really helpful comments, how the new appetizer or entree would pair with the rest of the menus, how it might affect our budget and alternatives to consider. At the tasting (definitely one of the highlights), we were able to mix and match a variety of different sauces with the entrees to pick our absolutely most favorites. And yes the food was as delicious on our wedding as it was for the tasting. I am still amazed as how they were cooking out of the truck and delivered the food to all of guests warm, beautifully presented and on-time. I loves that the entrees were served at the same time, no one at one table was eating salads, while the other tables were eating entrees. As our event staff, Amanda, was equally incredible. She had great suggestions on the set-up and how our guests would congregate and where to place all of the important tables (gifts, escort easel, bar, memory table) and of course the reception. At the end of the night, she went that extra step and had the staff and her pack up all of bridal stuff (which was a lot) even though it had nothing to do with their catering. The entire day went so smoothly with her help. Incredible job!

Milan Catering was outstanding. The tasting was very difficult as there were many options we enjoyed. My husband and I were very pleased with not only the food but also the amazing service. The wait staff made sure to serve the bridal party the appetizers during the cocktail hour in addition to providing us a plate when we sat down for initial toasts. Our guests raved about the food.

I recently got married at Powel Crosley and chose Milan for my catering, event design/rentals, and day-of planning. I could not have been more thrilled with how the day turned out. Everything was beautifully done, and the food was some of the best wedding food I've ever had! I had guests raving about the "Guest Choice Tableside" as no one had ever seen that at a wedding before. Kudos on a job well done, and I would definitely recommend them to any bride using the Powel Crosley or even as an outside caterer.

My husband and I got just got married last Saturday on October 17 2015. We had such an amazing experience with Milan Catering! From the first tasting with Chef Roberta, we knew we would be in good hands. The food was delicious! We ended up doing family style service. Our guests have not stopped raving about the food. I thought it was so nice that Chef Roberta came out at the end of dinner to congratulate us. Our day of wedding planner was Cayton Chrisman. She was AWESOME. She made sure rehearsal ran smoothly and I did not have to lift a single finger when it came to day of set up. She was there all night to ensure the reception ran smoothly and would even make sure we always had a drink in hand. I am so happy with Milan Catering. You will not be disappointed working with these amazing people!

Yes.. just like every other review.. the food was delicious and the service outstanding. Our wedding was at a private bayside home. They set up all of the chairs, tables and the endless list of stuff and were so pleasant despite the heat. We had chosen their new walking reception menu... it ended up being just like we thought. All of the guests were able to eat, then drink/dance/talk and then return to the next menu item. The guests were surprised each time and loved the variety. The biggest compliment.... our menu was exactly what people would have expected at our wedding. Love it!

We had Milan Catering at our wedding and the food was wonderful. Chef Roberta is an amazing chef and wanted to make sure everything was perfect for us on our big day. I HIGHLY suggest going for a tasting if at all possible because this meant a lot more than emailing back and forth regarding food options. I don't think you could go wrong with a single pick of anything Chef Roberta can whip up. I highly recommend the seafood options. Once we tasted the food, we felt great knowing how wonderful the food was going to be at the wedding. We surpassed everyone's expectations of typical wedding food that night and am so happy we went with Milan. You won't regret it. They are also priced very reasonably and you get a great value for the cost.

I am so glad we chose to have Milan cater our wedding! We were married at Powel Crosley in Sarasota and we live in MD. Alexis was so easy to get in touch with for whatever questions or ideas I needed to share. We were able to work our tasting and design session around my work schedule (I'm a teacher and can only travel over winter/spring break). We were able to customize the menu to fit our preferences. We absolutely loved the food at our tastings and our guests are till talking about how great the food was! We did have one guest (unexpectedly) request a vegetarian option and she was accommodated happily and without hesitation! The decor was wonderful and the wedding package we purchased was reasonably priced. Chef Roberta was very pleasant at our tasting and we were happy to leave our design and food to Milan! HIghly recommend using Milan for a great experience from start to finish, especially for out of state brides!

We live in Chicago and selected a Florida venue for our February 28th 2015 wedding. The Powel Crosley Estate was perfect and beautiful. I knew I would need help executing and planning our wedding based on the distance and like most brides, we want the wedding to be exactly how we have it pictured. I found Alexis Alexander at Sarasota wedding Gallery for wedding planning and coordination and Milan catering for food. I was extremely happy with both. Our guests are still talking about the food selections and quality, it was an extremely positive experience, we could not have been more please with the service, quality and assistance we received during the process. It left a wonderful lasting impression. I left the wedding that night and felt that everything matched my dreams for the day. I am also thrilled that I found Alexis Alexander to help me plan. She kept me on track the entire time and really matched me up with vendors that would suit our vision. Each important selection came together into a perfect blend and it was stress free. I was confident and trusted Alexis and with good reason, she knows the business and knows her clients. My very specific requests to make our day special were handled with care and value, clearly it is not a one size fits all industry and different vendors, styles and personalities will make different people happy. She found the exact right selection for our blended family that could help us make the day special for us, but also our children. They were a big part of the ceremony and the day and the plans were perfect for us. I am grateful to all of the people that played a roll in our special day, and I am lucky Alexis introduced us to the people and companies that would give us our dream wedding day! I was extremely happy to have Alexis running the day and taking amazing care of us and our family. We are very happy and would not have changed one thing!

We purchased the day of coordination which was one of the best decisions we made. Alexis was wonderful. She was right by my side when I needed her and she kept the whole wedding flowing perfectly. She knows her stuff and is very professional and kind.

The food provided by Milan Catering was delicious. We had the NY Strip steak and chicken with mango salsa. The steak was so good I would like to go back and have another one! Our guests all enjoyed the meal and there was plenty of food for everyone.

The table linens were exactly what we chose and looked great too and the cafe bulbs were hung perfectly above the loggia.

Loved the service and food! Would definitely recommend these guys!

As a professional chef, I was skeptical that I could get exactly what we wanted for the menus. My restuarant is considered fine dining, and I know that anything less than that would have been noticed by my guests and myself, especially.

The Milan chefs were very flexible on my ideas for menus; and what I appreciated the most was their knowledge on what works in catering. Some of the newest trends we are experimenting at the restuarant just were not a good fit for catering and I appreciate the give and take on making sure that the menu really fit the environment. I did inspect their trucks with their ovens and equipment. Very impressive onhow much they bring ; it really is a commerical kitchen when said and done. The menu was extraordinary; everything that we had hoped for. I took credit for some of the menu design (no offense of course); but I just thought the staff and the chefs were exemplorary. Wow! I am speechless. Milan's crew, Chef Roberta, Nathan and Cayton did a spectacular job. When I walked into the room and saw the table set-up with those gorgeous gold plates, I was blown away. The room appreared to be filled with sunshine and happiness. On behalf of both of us (who loved every moment) and our families, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making the day a never to be forgotten day. Everyone raved about the food and service and I can't even count the many compliments on each individual food item. The desserts were beautiful and presented so beautifully. (Delicious). We were just thrilled with Milan. The food was truly delicous and not the typical wedding food that you see. We had seleced their family service - very cool as each table gets the entrees served to them versus a buffet line - which we did not want. Lots of variety on the menu; including my bridesmaids' vegan requests. I did sneak a peek outside.. they really do bring their own ovens and cook out back - it was quite an operation. Chef Roberta and the chefs running around.. it looked like one of those Food network TV shows. Finally... one last thought.. they made it so easy on deciding what to serve, how to serve it and when to do it. We could just enjoy the evening. We were so impressed with the service from Milan. They were incredibly professional and helpful with everything, and their food selection was phenomenal! The cocktail hour was a huge hit, and all our guests commented on how terrific the food was. The dinner was perfect, exactly what we hoped for. We were approached all night by our friends and family, saying how exquisite the food was! I thought making a decision on a caterer would be difficult, but after tasting the menu Milan put together for us, I knew we were making the right decision. Definitely try the cheeseburger sliders!

As teh groom in charge of the catering, I had very definate idea of what we wanted for our reception... and what I was tired of seeing at others. Chef Roberta and her team just went above and beyond in designing our menu and the tasting was one of the best dinners that we have had together. During the tasting, we were abel to try every dish on the menu; olus a few that she recommended as alternatives... and the chefs were right with some of the modifications. Our reception food was as good as the tasting; and I was surprised how the staff made sure they found us to serve us the apps and made sure we had seconds for our reception. It was nice touch that they kept checking back with us to make sure I was full.. I am a big guy... and I do eat seconds. We ended up with their weddding cake as well, guests thought it was delicious, I am not into sweets; so I saved it for the after party apps which came out at the end. Again, teh staff tracked me down to make sure I had those as well. Excellent Job guys!!!

I recently got married at the Edson Keith Mansion and hired Alexis to be our coordinator. My husband and I feel that Alexis was an integral part of our day and with her there we were able to completely enjoy our day. Leading up to the wedding she was very accommodating to me changing the menu around many times and was very quick to respond. The day of the wedding she made sure we had everything we needed and kept things right on schedule. She even ran our rehearsal for us so we were prepared for our big day.

Working through Milan we were able to use one vendor to do the work of multiple vendors. They set up our tables, centerpieces, lawn games, and we even got the bartenders and bartender insurance through them. We also ordered our lunch through Milan to be delivered to us while we were getting ready at the venue the day of the wedding, which was fantastic to have set-up beforehand. The food at our wedding was delicious and everyone loved the southern food that they provided to go along with our "Florida southern" theme.

Milan Catering was one of the approved vendors for Powel Crosley Estate, the venue that I had my wedding on this past October. After discussing prices with 4 different caterers, I chose Milan Catering. From the start, they were understanding of my budget constraints and really worked with me to get to where I need to be and comfortable with. From the tasting to the set-up/decor choices, they were patience and accommodating. My wedding guests couldn't get enough of the food and the set-up of the venue was exactly to my specifications. Loved working with Milan catering. We hired Alexis as our coordinator to help keep everything in order and she was extremely prompt and helped me with my hundreds of questions.

We planned our wedding from another state so she was able to work with me and our other vendors to make sure the day ran smoothly. I would highly recommend hiring a coordinator. She made sure everyone was where they needed to be the day of and definitely helped me feel like my wedding day was carefree.

Milan catering has THE BEST food. I enjoyed everything and all of our guests told us how good the food was. We also did late night bites and they customized it to what we wanted (mini philly cheese steaks since my HUSBAND is from Philly).

So happy we worked with Milan Catering and Alexis.

Chef Roberta and her team were professional and the food was spectacular. I had a handful of individuals tell me the exact same thing, "I have never been to a wedding where the food was the good, absolutely amazing!" Thanks Milan Catering!

My husband and I recently got married and used Milan Catering for both catering as well as wedding planning through their Sarasota Wedding Gallery. We were extremely happy with all services provided. We live in Los Angeles but got married in Sarasota, Florida- we knew planning would be a challenge but both Milan and our coordinator, Alexis were extremely responsive and great. We worked together via email since it was the best way to communicate with the time difference. My husband comes from a culinary background and had been a chef for many years- so his requirements and standards were pretty high. Milan was happy to work with us one on one on creating a menu that would make everyone happy (we were definitely particular and maybe a tad difficult- haha!) but they were definitely up for the challenge. We went back and forth many times on our menu until we came to our final decisions- never did they show frustration- they were open and collaborative through and through. The food was amazing- not typical wedding food! The salads, sides and main dishes were delicious. I know they say most brides and grooms forget to eat on their big day- but not us! We were extremely happy with how everything tasted. Alexis was also beyond helpful- she kept in contact almost daily to ensure we were on track for our big day. She made what could be a stressful day- pretty much stress free. She collaborated with all of our vendors and was the go to so we could enjoy our day. The day of we did have some typical Florida weather- after our ceremony which was outside- the skies opened up. Luckily our guests were inside the estate at this point. Alexis took control and made a plan- and the storm passed without any disruption of our big day. It was beautiful and perfect and we would more then recommend Milan and Sarasota Wedding Gallery for catering as well as wedding coordinating. Thank you Milan and Alexis!

They are life savers. This vendor puts your needs first. Food was excellent and the choices are plentiful. We had Alexis Alexander as our wedding planner and she made the process seamless. She is incredibly knowledgeable and puts your needs at the top of the priority list. She is incredibly responsive and makes it happen. We never had any doubts with regards to Alexis. We would definitely recommend Milan and especially Alexis to everyone.
