    Excellent Photographer

Miho Photographed my and my wife's wedding this September. She did an absolutely phenomenal job. She was flexible when she needed to be and captured us perfectly. It felt like she really wanted to take photos that represented. I would recommend her to anyone who wants beautiful photos and a lovely person to work with!

Miho was amazing! We were having a difficult time finding the right photographer for our wedding as we were looking for a specific style that fit "us." We also weren't planning to hire a videographer, so whoever we chose to photograph the wedding had to be perfect. I found Miho's work as I was sifting through my venue's website and thought the photographs were vintage, creative and not so "wedding-like." They were much more interesting than some of the portfolios we've been seeing and I liked the fact that wedding photography wasn't the only thing she did. There was something refreshing about a varied portfolio.

Miho was very easy to communicate with and I didn't find it difficult to work with her on both our engagement shoot and the day of. She was very relaxed in coaching us and helped ensure that our photos were more natural than staged. The results really do speak for themselves and we're so pleased with all the photos. Family and friends have commented on how beautiful and ethereal they look. Even as I look back to both the engagement shoot and the day of photos, I'm so happy to have had Miho capture the special moments for us.

The only thing I'm bummed about is not having a lot of centered photos of me (the bride) walking down the aisle. For some reason, there were very few and they were all off-centered. I wasn't able to get a good photo to print or share with family and friends b/c of it. Otherwise, I would still very much recommend Miho. Great vision, lovely personality and super easy to work with when so many other things can be stressful on the big day.

    Highly recommend

Back when I was in law school 8-9 years ago, I stumbled upon Miho's photography by total chance. I was instantly amazed by her work and her photos. When I saw the wedding photos she had on her website, I told myself that if I ever got married one day, I wanted her to take my wedding pictures. (this was even before I met my future husband!). Over the years I still followed her every now and then and saw that she had a feature on the NYTimes called "Dinner in NY" and I was completely drawn to her photos in that feature.

Fast forward many years later, after I got engaged, Miho was the first vendor I contacted during the wedding planning process. I wanted to make sure she was available even before we selected our wedding date. Miho is such a breeze to work with. Throughout the planning process, she was responsive, flexible, and offered helpful suggestions for us. She was my favorite vendor to work with during a really stressful time and also made herself available to travel all the way to the boonies of CT to photograph our wedding at a vineyard.

Every single one of the 800 or so pictures Miho took of us on our wedding day is a picture I can cherish because all of them are in their own right, beautifully captured. She offers a different take than your standard wedding pictures. During the wedding planning process, I felt that there are so many wedding photographers and the market for them is quite oversaturated. Many photographers have the same standard wedding photos they take and no real style to distinguish them from each other. With Miho, I think she really offered a different point of view and style that I really loved- something a little moody and an amazing ability to capture and play on light. It was very windy on the day we got married, and she used that to her advantage to capture my veil and dress blowing in the wind very beautifully. I really appreciate that she is also not just a "wedding photographer" but a documentary photographer in the first instance.

I would recommend Miho to anyone who is looking for a different take and not your standard wedding photography. I can't wait for the next time I can work with Miho!

Miho photographed our New York wedding, with both indoor and outdoor photos. The time of day (midday/early afternoon) meant difficult and not ideal lighting conditions for the outdoor photos but Miho captured some excellent images and her processing was superb. Turning some of the outdoor shots into black and white images actually improved their look! The indoor photos were uniformly excellent and Miho really captured the spirit of our important day.
