I’ve known Miguel for several years now due to his amazing work. It was a no-brainer hiring him to photograph our engagement session and eventually our wedding. He takes the most beautiful pictures AND is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. I expressed to him the type of photos we were looking for, both for our engagement session and our wedding. Miguel made our memories come to life with his photos! He was professional and warm to the guests and to us. We are both extremely camera shy but Miguel was patient and directed us in a way where we could be ourselves but the pictures came out wonderfully. Excellent service, made us feel instantly comfortable
Miguel did a phenomenal job as our wedding photographer. Our photos turned out so beautifully, and he was creative in getting us good shots. Miguel is very caring and invested in the couples that he works with. Only 2 weeks before our wedding my father had a medical emergency and was no longer able to attend the wedding. Last minute we asked Miguel if he knew anyone that could video our ceremony so that my dad could be able to see. He really came through for us in finding someone! I will be forever grateful that he was able to help us make that happen for my dad. We are very happy we went with Miguel and would highly recommend him.

Miguel is the best!! The quality of his photos is unmatched and he knew exactly what to do and where to go to get the best pictures imaginable. Miguel has serious talent and an eye for lighting. His photos are top notch and I would use him over and over again. His working style is easy and flexible. He offered tons of great ideas for shots but asked us to bring some ideas as well. Overall, I would rate his service as excellent and you absolutely will not regret hiring him for your special day! I am so happy to have these photos to look back at for the rest of our lives. I had initially booked another photographer, I am so so SO thankful I switched to Miguel. I couldn’t get his photos out of my head and I am so happy with the pictures I have seen. He had a sneak peek back to me earlier than I had anticipated and he did SUCH a good job! Very easy going, and not concerned with the time limit (as other photographers are very strict with the time limit). Miguel focused on getting great photos and making us happy. The photos speak for themselves. The angles he chose were perfect. Most of the photos didn't even need to be enhanced, as the raw photos we're so beautiful! He even sent us our photos the same night! I cannot say enough about how happy I am with Miguel’s photography! He was easily contacted for the months, weeks and days leading up to the big day and got a feel for what we would be looking for. On our wedding day he seemed to be everywhere getting all of the shots but also remained unnoticeable. My husband hates getting pictures taken; but Miguel approached it wonderfully and really helped to make him comfortable. He went with the flow but provided direction when needed. He even helped pick sand spurs out of my dress! We only had 45 minutes for pictures before sunset and we were still able to work in all of our portraits and must have shots! We had our sneak peak preview of our photographs within 24 hours of our night.Most of all, I love his photography and editing style, it is so much more natural than a lot of photographers. I would absolutely hire Miguel again!

Miguel is exactly the photographer that we wanted: easy to communicate and plan with, very responsive, flexible, and very affordable. Most importantly, he's an excellent photographer! At our wedding, he was quick to adapt to the rainy weather, and in fact got some beautiful shots of the rainbow and the sunset afterwards. My husband called him a ninja because he was everywhere he needed to be, yet not obtrusive to the events of the evening. I didn't want the whole event to be driven by the photographer's schedule; instead, Miguel went the flow of events and still got the shots we asked for. The end results were gorgeous! We selected Miguel because his photos showed an artistic quality that we didn't find with other photographers. The results surpassed our expectations.
With an event as special as a wedding, you have to get it right. And beyond just taking photos, the photographer must blend in the group to capture authentic moments. Miguel did this and more.
His personality is professional and genuine. He is someone who is deeply respectful when dealing with family, and very personable when talking one-on-one. His attendance was timely--able to meet our needs of a wedding in the middle of the week and arrived with plenty of time to capture the whole process. Beyond being a passive photographer, Miguel coached Sarah and me through the entire day--ensuring we maximized the memories and allowed us to enjoy our day.
Finished photos were posted on a website, and a memory drive was mailed to our home. The final product was striking.
I would highly recommend Miguel for his professionalism, attention to detail, and artistic inclination.

Miguel was very professional and very attentive, you can tell he loves what he does and it shows in his work. Absolutely beautiful pictures I couldn't imagine having anyone else but him, and will definitely contact him in the future for any special events or occasions because he's absolutely worth it.

Miguel was a perfect choice for our wedding photographer. We had a photographer cancel on us 2 weeks out, and Miguel helped us out big time. He was very accommodating and worked out prices and times with us as we were on a tight budget.
He was very good in capturing all the photos we wanted and was simultaneously independent and very much by our sides on the day. We were very impressed. A big plus is that he is bilingual, as my husband's extended family speaks Spanish and was awesome in communicating with them for family photos. He was a really great choice, and was very professional.

I can't even being to explain how happy we are to have chosen Miguel as our photographer. He is insanely talented and professional and his passion for photography is inspiring. The photographs he took of our wedding are truly a work of art and I can't stop looking at them! Our wedding took place outdoors and about a week beforehand the forecast said thundershowers. I was worried this would ruin the photos but when I reached out to Miguel he reassured me right away that we would still capture awesome photographs. In the end it turned out to be perfect and it only sprinkled a little, which actually added to the romantic aesthetic he was able to capture flawlessly.
Since our fist meeting I have followed the progression of his portfolio and just when you think he can't get any better his talent only seems to improve with every photo shoot. He didn't stop taking photos at all throughout the entire event, and I appreciate the obvious hard work he put into both photographing and editing. It has only been a few days since the wedding and he has already sent over amazing highlight--such a fast turn around!

Miguel was an absolute pleasure to work with! His warm affect and engaging personality makes it easy for couples to talk and discuss their ideas and wants with him.
Beyond that, his photos clearly show a deep understanding of both technical knowledge and great composition and use of light and surrounding environment to make for some amazing photos.

Miguel was amazing. He was very low stress, and very independent and professional, which was helpful during such a stressful time. He checked in periodically to let me know he didn't forget about us, and was always very friendly. He was incredibly helpful to my family and friends the day of our wedding, and somehow, through telekinesis, he sensed my discomfort about some on-lookers before our ceremony and politely and kindly escorted them away. I greatly appreciated that, and it made me feel a lot less anxious. During the wedding and reception, he worked hard, but I hardly noticed and I never felt like he was in anyone's face. He has always been flexible and accommodating, and it's clear he values photography for what it is to him, a source of happiness and an outlet for creativity. I highly recommend Miguel and his beautiful photos.

5 stars does not even begin to express my happiness with the overall experience I had with Miguel Angel photography. Miguel took the time to meet with me before my wedding and get to know me as a bride and what I wanted for pictures. He was professional from our first meeting all the way through the delivery of my pictures. Miguel was a joy to have at our wedding and I cannot express what he was able to capture in our photos. These photos will be bringing us joy for years to come. I am excited to use Miguel in the future for our other photography needs.

Miguel and Ana covered our ceremony and cocktail hour. They went above and beyond to get all the shots we wanted plus a bunch more. Miguel was very patient and professional even when my relatives were trying to take their own pictures of us at the same time. They got amazing pictures and Miguel's editing skills make every picture look like a work of art. They were very skilled in posing us in flattering ways. Miguel is great with communication and we got our photos back within a week, which is amazing! They were a joy to work with and we will be treasuring these pictures for years to come. I would absolutely recommend Miguel to anyone.

Professional, courteous, fast delivery of photos, these are some key-stones of the amazing service Miguel delivers. We are extremely happy with the art work. The lighting, composition and editing make up for some of the best photography I have seen overall, so having Miguel and Ane at our wedding was an honor. Both the ceremony and the reception were covered perfectly. His experience really shows, as he always knew where to be, and how to capture the moment and it's emotion. He used top notch professional grade gear (camera, lenses, speedlights). Miguel was very compassionate and flexible having shot at two locations, and putting up with our erratic scheduling. A true gentleman, a great team player and his assitant was absolutely charming. His pricing was very modest in contrast to very many out there. His Art is amazing. Simply the best.

We were recommended Miguel from a family member and are so glad we chose him to do our wedding!!! He spent 9 hours with us on our wedding day and took some amazing photographs we will cherish forever. The portraits he did of my husband and I were stunning, despite some time constraints. We are soo pleased with his work we would highly recommend Miguel if you are in the Tampa Bay area. He is also affordable, so you can afford to have a wedding as well as hire him! His cost per value was excellent! Also very important during the wedding day is having a calm photographer that will not add more stress, Miguel stayed very composed even when I was stressing and was enjoyable for our guests to be around. Miguel Angel Photography is a top notch service for a very reasonable price. He was prompt with the initial consultation to find out what my wife and I wanted in a photographer. After the first meeting we felt very comfortable and confident in Miguel and his assistant. He photographed our wedding and reception for 9 hours and was able to deliver the special moments that we wanted the most. His service and skills speak volumes in his work! TL;DR - We have some gorgeous photos, some bad ones, he has to work on professionalism, and essentially EXTORTED US FOR OUR PHOTOS in exchange for a positive review. We have everything we paid for now, so I am changing our review (I wrote out a short novel detailing our experience, but didn't realize I couldn't post it. Feel free to contact me for more details)
PHOTOS: some we will cherish forever. My family photos are useless - we should have been in another location, but were basically in this poorly lit area because of Miguel. I should have said something. Also failed to capture certain things that I specifically requested in a shot list I emailed to him (did he even read it? Definitely didn't print it out), as well as other things I would have thought were common sense (full solo shot of the cake in daytime, unique Stitch detailing on the back of the cake, only captured via Snapchat - very expensive). I also asked for original color copies of some of the B&W's and he still has not responded and I am led to believe he doesn't have them anymore (saved B&W over the original maybe?) or is just done responding to me.
PROFESSIONALISM: responsible for the only negative moment of our wedding day - took us aside and made us feel guilty for something that was already out of our hands (something he had led us to believe would not be an issue), and had already been quietly taken care of by the venue. Absolutely no need for this. The most important part: EXTORTED US FOR A FIVE STAR REVIEW IN EXCHANGE FOR OUR PHOTOS. I didn't think reviews were supposed to be completed until after photos were given. He called us on our honeymoon (after my husband had already told him it was late and we were on our honeymoon...in Paris...at midnight...I was in bed...) and he and my husband get in a fight over the phone. Shocked and appalled. Also he was late to every single meeting except for one and was on time for the wedding day.

Unprofessional!!
We hired Miguel to take our engagement photos in July of 2019. The day came to take the photos and he FORGOT about us!! After spending almost $200 on my hair and makeup, he wasn’t planning on showing up until I called him several times. He made up an excuse saying he was “on his way” but had to turn around for a family emergency. Mind you, he was already 30 min late! He then asked if we could reschedule after we had spent 30 min waiting on and AND paying money for my hair and makeup. I told him if we rescheduled, then we would need to re negotiate our price. He said no of course and told us to stay put and that he’d be there in 20 min. Some family emergency, huh? Giving him the benefit of the doubt and just being nice people, he also hired him for our wedding for April 4th, 2020. (I added photos of our conversation from the unprepared engagement session) With COVID-19 impacting our country, we were forced to reschedule our wedding, so we did. Miguel was not available for our new date and told us he would not refund our money a week after we just paid the remainder of the balance! He was not sympathetic, understanding or supportive. Such a shame. I do NOT recommend Miguel for any photographer needs!
