I love partnering with Natalie from Midtown Strings. Beyond being extremely talented herself, she's also connected to a lot of other awesome and talented artists in the city. We have partnered with her to bring a variety of different music genres to life for our events - violin + DJ, violin trio, folk band with vocalist, jazz trio, etc - and each one brought a huge WOW factor that our attendees loved! Natalie is always super responsive and willing to brainstorm awesome musical acts for any event I come to her with! She's my go to and I know when I work with her, the music will be on point. Absolutely recommend! -

If you're hesitant to book, I'm here to give you that extra nudge! ;) Midtown Strings were the perfect addition to our cocktail hour, adding that extra touch of elegance while still keeping the music fun and modern. The quartet played during cocktail hour, where guests started dancing + even requested a few songs, and then moved onto the dance floor of the ballroom while guests entered to be seated. Not only are they incredibly talented and professional, Natalie and team were super responsive and easy to work with! -

Natalie worked with us and our DJ to play violin for our wedding ceremony (prelude and processionals) and also for a segment during our party with the electric violin. She was amazing! Easy to work with and went above our expectations. The party had so much energy b/c of her segment. She immersed herself in the crowd and all of our guests got really into the party! Thank you Natalie! -

If you are looking for professional musicians to transform your event from okay to Oh Yes!, definitely consider Midtown Strings! From the initial contact, this group was incredibly easy to work with. In addition to possessing excellent musical talent, these musicians were extremely professional. They arrived early, set up quickly, played at the perfect volume and tempo for our festive early evening gathering, smiled at the audience, and discretely left the venue at the end of their performance. Midtown Strings was the perfect musical accompaniment to our nonprofit fundraising event. I highly recommend them! -

Beautiful and so easy to work with
I learned about Midtown strings while attempting to find vendors that were in Detroit and owned by women. Midtown strings checked all the boxes. We hired a string trio for our wedding at The Guardian Building in Detroit. I am so happy with how the day went, the strings were incredible. We chose specific songs including a Persian song to go along with a specific part of the ceremony. After finding the sheet music the trio played it with ease. My mother in law was in tears! I loved every bit of working with Natalie and I would highly recommend working with Midtown Strings for your event. Having live strings for the ceremony was an amazing touch especially while getting married in a historical building. -

Midtown Strings performed at our ceremony on the skydeck of Lacuna Lofts and truly made it a magical night. They even learned "Girl on Fire" for me for my walk down the aisle. We got so many compliments on the rooftop ceremony, and they definitely set the vibe for us. We loved that we could choose so many contemporary songs on the strings. Thank you ladies, you're fantastic! -

Beautiful ceremony music
We had an amazing experience having Midtown Strings perform during our wedding ceremony! They were able to accommodate all of the song choices we wanted and make them sound amazing. I believe having a strings trio greatly elevated the ceremony and we are so so happy with our experience. Could not recommend them more!! -

We had a Midtown Strings trio provide classical music at our wedding reception, and we could not be happier with the experience. They were communicative, kind, and willing to work with us despite us being a bit far away and us being selective about which songs we wanted them to play. Their performance was stunning and exactly what we hoped for as background music to our wedding reception dinner. We highly recommend them! -

Natalie played beautifully and it was just the right touch to add throughout dinner. She coordinated well with the dj and all my requests were met.
I had over 400 guests at my daughter's wedding and Natalie played the violin beautifully during cocktail hour and throughout dinner. It was extra special because it was a surprise for my daughter and her groom and they were completely satisfied with all the beautiful music played. Natalie was responsible for answering questions beforehand through email and all my requests were met to the fullest. -

WOW! Where do I even begin with how thankful I am for Natalie Frakes. Originally, my husband and I booked a different violinist for our 10/2/21 wedding. This violinist had something come up last minute, so she referred us to Natalie...and we couldn't be happier! Natalie had less than a month's notice, but she took our vision and executed it flawlessly. Our ceremony music was so elegant and romatic (we requested Disney songs), and our cocktail hour music was upbeat and energetic (top hits/classics with backtracks). She really set the tone for the entire evening and I have had multiple people reach out asking for her contact info. Natalie is flexible, kind, talented, and everything we could've imagined. I will absolutely be calling her again for future events. Natalie provided the special touch we needed for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and we are so grateful. -

Amazing live performance
We hired Midtown to perform at our home for an intimate performance to celebrate a wedding anniversary. All of our guests were so surprised. Hearing live music for the first time in over a year brought some of our guests’ to tears. It was such a special addition to our evening. We are so pleased with the performance. Hands down the highlight of the evening. -

Midtown Strings was one of the highlights of the wedding. We could not have been happier with them. Natalie was amazing to work with. Along with the amazing string performance they also provided a DJ to help with backtrack songs, this helped keep the party going well into the night. All of the songs we requested they played which was over the top. We were so lucky to find them and will be using them for our post-covid wedding next year. -

We had to make several changes to our wedding but Natalie was easy to work with. We chose a String Trio to play during our ceremony and then to play along with the DJ during our cocktail ceremony. They sounded amazing. A little slow to respond to emails at times, but overall very professional.
