Michelle was truly a miracle for me to find. I recently moved to the area and had no leads or referrals for any places to take my wedding dresses for alterations. My first meeting with Michelle I could tell she was the right person. She knew all the things we would need to do beyond what I had thought of. She quoted me a price and promised it wouldn’t change unless I wanted to do something drastically different from what we discussed. After just a couple fittings it was all ready to go! She even helped me vacuum bag it for my suitcase since I was getting married out of state. I will always recommend Michelle to anyone I know! She truly was the miracle I needed. -

Omg where do I start, I had purchased my gown and then list 2 dress sizes long before my wedding, so I searched for a wedding dress designer who also does alterations… then enter Mi belle Rene Designs.. she worked a miracle on my dress, creatively and uniquely adjust my dress.. she is the sweetest my professional person I have met.. I also utilize her with other alteration etc.. If I could give her 10 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would. -

Michelle Rene made my dreams come true!
Michelle was able to do major alterations on my 63 year old wedding gown that had been worn by my grandmother and mother. She is so fun and creative to work with! She was able to bring this dress back to life and turn it into something that felt my own. I am beyond thankful for her hard work and incredible skill. I would recommend her to anyone! -

We absolutely love Michelle and her work. She is so friendly and you can tell she loves what she does. She is full of ideas and recommendations. We have used her for our Daughters senior homecoming and Prom (Oct 2022, May 2023) for homecoming she was even able to make a beautiful tie for our daughters date out of what was removed from her dress. For Prom she was able to alter the top of the dress to accommodate our daughters chest. She altered the length of her 5 layer dress and altered the back of the dress to make our daughter feel as beautiful and confident as she looked.
We highly recommend Michelle. -

So caring and kind!
Michelle was amazing! She was very responsive to texts, and always listened to my concerns with my wedding dress. I spent a lot of money on my dress and it was the only dress I liked so I was very worried when choosing someone for alterations. I made the right choice! Michelle finished my dress in a short amount of time, created a beautiful bustle, and made sure I loved my dress before I left every appointment. Will always recommend her!! -

The best person for your wedding!
Hiring Michelle was the best decision I could have made for my wedding! She is absolutely incredible and I highly recommend her! I initially met with Michelle because I needed a seamstress for my wedding dress. She was really helpful and patient when meeting with my mom and me and we felt all the wedding stress fade away because she was so reassuring about everything. She mentioned that she had an extra concierge service where she would be present throughout the wedding and assist with everything, including wardrobe, makeup, etc. We hired her for dress alterations and the concierge service right away but it was not until my wedding day that I realized just how critical Michelle’s concierge service was. I don’t know what I would have done without her.
When we first met her, she mentioned she had just been working on the dresses of brides from New Jersey who had traveled to her for her services. I was surprised at the time that someone would travel from another state for a vendor, but now I see why!! It is worth it! The help Michelle provided before and during my wedding day was priceless.
Throughout the fittings, Michelle was so sweet and helpful. Not only did she make my wedding dress look absolutely gorgeous and perfectly fitted, but she had advice for all of our questions, including recommending hair pieces, the best deodorant to use, undergarments, vendors for hair and makeup, printing signs and table markers/place cards, advice on timing/wedding schedule, jewelry, and lots of other things we hadn’t even thought of! It was so much fun for my mom and me to visit Michelle’s studio (which is located in a beautiful rural area in PA) and we felt really calm every time we met with her. She also hemmed and steamed my dress for the rehearsal dinner, my mom’s dress, and my husband’s suit—all looked stunning after Michelle’s alterations! Michelle designed the most gorgeous bustle for my wedding dress and I got a lot of compliments on it. She really took her time to meet with us and answer all our questions.
The day of the wedding, Michelle went above and beyond. She texted me in the days leading up to my wedding to make sure I was doing okay and to alleviate any stress. The day of the wedding, she delivered my wedding dress and my husband's suit to the venue steamed and perfect, so I didn’t have to worry about transporting it myself. She helped my wedding party with their outfits and makeup, met my mom and me with an umbrella at the venue and transported us to the bridal suite (it rained throughout my wedding day and Michelle made sure it did not affect my hair or dress), made sure that we sat and ate some sandwiches, helped me organize my makeup, extra shoes, and all my other items and stored them in her bag, and help onto my phone while handing it to me if it rang. All of us–me, my wedding party, and my mom–were frazzled and Michelle was critical in helping us get organized and keeping track of everything we would need. My best friends in the wedding party absolutely loved Michelle and said they need to hire her for their weddings. Michelle also kept track of and carried around my bridal bouquet, which I kept putting down and losing track of.
My other vendors were great and we had a day of coordinator, but Michelle helped with everything and somehow did the job of at least 10 people. She was always there whenever we needed her, but didn’t interfere with anything and was never in the way. I don’t know how she found the time, but she also took a ton of gorgeous pictures of us and sent me a google drive afterward. She walked me to the ceremony with an umbrella and helped me stay calm. After the ceremony, I saw she was crying! She told me how beautiful and emotional it had been. She also moved the wedding party bouquets to the reception space and they looked perfect the way she arranged them. On top of that, she left us a really sweet message in our guest book. She is such a kind and wonderful person and we are so lucky we found her. -

Just what we envisioned!!
Highly recommend Michelle Rene Designs! She completely removed and designed a new bodice for my daughter’s wedding gown making it just what she had dreamed of. Michelle was very easy to work with and we always had a lot of fun during the appointments. We also needed a veil and Michelle designed one in a beautiful cathedral length. She involved my daughter in the placement of the lace and design of both the veil and dress. She also created a veil for the miniature bride that matched my daughter’s. So happy we chose to go with her for our alterations. She is very reasonable in her pricing as well. Thank you, Michelle!! -

I didn’t know a service like Michelle Rene’s existed, but I am very glad I found her! At my first fitting, my gown came out of the bag and panic set in. I was thinking, “how the heck am I or any of my girls going to be able to steam this well enough to make it look good for the wedding?” I was lucky enough to find Michelle Rene in a frantic Google search.
I opted for the day-of wedding concierge service and I am SO glad I did! Not only did she come out the morning of the wedding to steam and press my gown, my bridesmaids gowns, and the men’s suits, but she went above and beyond with her amazing tool kit. She helped some of my girls fit into their dresses beautifully with magic tape, she fixed my mom’s bracelet when it broke, and she took AMAZING pictures of the bridal suite and first look: invaluable pictures that I was able to post on social media before I got the professional pictures. (one included here)
Michelle walked around with us as my husband and I did our first look and subsequent pictures to fix my dress and hold my flowers. (amazing) When I started to ugly cry on my way out to do my first look, Michelle rubbed my back and reassured me, saving my makeup from utter doom!
My dress had a complicated bustle, and Michelle did it with ease at the cocktail hour. It was great because I just stood there as she bustled and I had my own little reception line. (see the other photo) It truly made everything seamless and saved my girls from the hassle! Michelle was absolutely wonderful and what I’ve said here doesn’t even fully cover everything she did for us. The best experience for the best price
Michelle was phenominal! So glad that she kept things informal and comfortable but still professional. I wanted/needed simple alterations that others quoted me 700-800$ for and said they would be extremely complicated because of the all glitter fabric when they weren’t! Couldn’t be happier! I posted a before (with off the shoulder straps) and pics of the day of my wedding! -

My Wedding Gown - Now a beautiful keepsake 👼🏻
I recently trusted Michelle with my wedding gown to repurpose my train into beautiful angels.
I was flooded with emotion when I opened the box to find three absolutely gorgeous angels (I gifted two) that will forever be cherished. She also went above and beyond and embroidered each of them as well.
Such a beautiful keepsake to remember my wedding that will be passed along for generations to come.

I recently got married on November 13. That morning, I opened my bag which held my wedding dress and found multiple errors in my dress. The previous week I had picked it up from the place I had alterations completed, $475 worth, or so I thought. My dress was supposed to have a belt cut and sewn into the seams on the side of it. Much to my surprise, I found my belt to be not only free hanging, but barely secured to the dress. The lady who "altered" my dress wanted me to bring the dress to her and tried to say I didn't tell her I wanted the belt sewn into the seams, which I did, multiple times. Michelle had made a veil for me and thankfully, I had saved her number. She came to the venue two and a half hours before I was supposed to be in my dress and fixed everything! She was a literal lifesaver! I recommend her for ANY alterations you may need for your dress! -

I found Michelle Rene through a friend and had her not only had her help me design a look for my bridal shower, but also redesigned my rehearsal dinner skirt and my wedding dress alterations. In our final fitting, my mother and MOH looked at each other, completely overwhelmed of how to help me into my dress on the big day, and with five days before the wedding, my mom asked to hire her as our day-of concierge/assistant, and Michelle dropped everything to help! With an affordable price for her service, her presence was not only outstanding, it was invaluable. We didn't realize how much we needed her until the big day came. While myself as the bride was pretty cool as a cucumber, my mother was (for lack of a better word), a hot mess. Michelle not only took care of my needs (and thought of everything), but made sure my mother was calm, cool, and collected so she could enjoy the final moments of getting ready. Michelle came fully equipped with an arsenal of tools, a steamer, and such an amazing personality. She thought of all the small details, assisted the photographers and fluffed my dress as needed. She was prompt, friendly, helpful, kind, understanding, and all the things. Her alterations were stunning and I felt so comfortable and like a queen on my big day. She was there for all the moments and all the details, ensuring the ladies and men were properly ready to walk down the aisle and party at the reception. She is a dear person that felt like family that day. Would recommend her and will go back for other wardrobe design needs. -

Couldn't be happier with my experience and price!
I couldn't be happier with the experience I had with Michelle! To put it in perspective, I emailed her two months before my wedding in a panic because I needed my wedding dress altered and fixed in a few areas before my wedding AND I had a bridesmaid from out of state that needed her dress altered two days before the wedding. Michelle responded to me within hours assuring me that she would take care of me, set an appointment with me, told me not to worry that she would have it all taken care of before the wedding, AND guaranteed better prices than Davids Bridal! She took care of me and my bridesmaid as if we were her own family! She was friendly, flexible, and at an amazing price! I recommend her to any bride and/or bridesmaid out there! The alterations made to my dress were flawless! -

Michelle is amazing!! I am a plus size woman, and I had doubt's about fitting into my wedding dress. I also had doubt's about finding something that would allow me to wear a regular bra underneath instead of a strapless one. Michelle was a life saver leading up to my wedding. I had previously had my dress altered by the location where it was purchased, but after putting it on at home it did not fit properly. I had very limited time leading up to my wedding day, but Michelle went above and beyond to squeeze me into her schedule and make the needed alterations. Michelle even quickly hemmed my rehersal dress when I picked up my wedding dress. I would recommend Michelle to anyone who needed alterations or wanted custom wedding or dress items. Upon initially reaching out to Renee, I wasn't sure what to expect, however she quickly put me at ease with her genuine delight of the the vision I shared with her of a lavender addition I wanted to have added to my wedding dress, along with a subtle underlay addition to my daughter's flower girl dress. Once I met with her at her personal studio and she informed me that she was planning on creating a "Marriage" with the color and design of the 3 dresses I had brought in to her, I knew right then that I had chosen a One Of A Kind Designer to alter the dresses I purchased for my Big Day! Not only did Renee redesign 3 dresses within less than a 3 month time frame, she also repaired and reconstructed my late Grandmother's Wedding Crown to be attached to my Vail with a last minute Pearl designed Hair Comb she took the time to hand make just a few days before my Wedding Day. With all that she had accomplished with the intricate care, attention to detail and her added touch of sparkle and personal flare of design, I was taken away by how reasonable my final invoice came to be. Her response was "I do this because it is what I Love to do"... and I Can GUARANTEE that her LOVE of designing varying fabrics for a perfect fit to ensure you feel Confident and Beautiful on your most Special/Important day, Absolutely speaks Volumes in her finished Product. I am SO Happy that Renee helped me to trust her Process with bringing my Grandmother's Crown Back to Life and Making my Vision become a Reality! -

I hired Michelle in Jan of 2022 with a $200 deposit to make a wedding dress for my wedding in Aug 2023. With plenty of time, I had no concerns when she cancelled my fitting appointment in July, stating that some supplies were backordered. When she cancelled my Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec appointments for various (and dramatic) reasons, I began to worry. After applying a bit of pressure, I secured my first official fitting appointment for the day after Christmas. What she had to show me was minimal, but enough to give me the confidence to schedule my next fitting for Feb 14th. Like every other appt, I prepared myself for the cancelation message, which I did get on 2/12. I'd have been sympathetic had it not been for all the other cancelations. So, I went shopping instead and found another dress. I messaged to ask her not to do any further work on my dress until we had a chance to talk, but it is now May 12, and I STILL haven't heard from her yet. I'm grateful that I didn't wait any longer because I'm getting married in 3 months and I don't think I'd have a dress at all if I hadn't taken action. I haven't had the opportunity to tell her that I got another dress....so what does she think is happening? Guess this is her official notice that she's been fired. This could have ruined my wedding, and is the most unprofessional situation I've ever seen.
Apparently she disputed my review, but after providing documentation of everything to the site, I'm here to rewrite it, since no one should have to go through what I did, and it's not fair to remove a review just because it doesn't say something flattering.

Michelle Rene' Designs and Wedding Gown Alterations is horrible. She ruined my wedding dress. She cut my hem from the top instead of bottom. She cut all 7 layers of my dress while on me. Leaving it crooked and uneven. She made my straps uneven. I paid her a $200 deposit. After leaving in tears from her destroying my dress she refunded me $100. She then stated she would return the remaining $100.00 she owes me. That was on August 22nd but now she does not respond to text, email, or fb messages. Please be warned and aware do not utilize her services. Photo 1 is some of the damage she did to my dress. Photo 2 is the start of the repair with another seamstress. Then I attached the screenshot with the text. Please be very careful. -
