Her experience shows in the photos!
Michelle's photos were a story of our chemistry as a couple. I do not say that lightly since my wedding day was filled with drama! Michelle's experience, vision, and up front honesty about the light/venue/etc helped us capture the really special moments that reflected the underlying love of the day. When I look through my album, I re live all of the positive moments of the day and can envision the venue and flowers as if it was yesterday! I would highly recommend! -

Perfection
Everything about Michelle was absolutely amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced as well as genuine, professional, and communicative. Working with Michelle was truly amazing! We got married on an actual bridge and instead of this being an obstacle, Michelle ensured it was the enchanting and incredible vision we hoped for. Now we look at the gorgeous photos and realize that we didn’t reel her there- a. gift from any photographer. At our reception, Michelle made all our guests comfortable- she wasn’t there to make them work. My mom has mentioned many times how much she enjoyed having her there with us and we could not be in more agreement! We have the wonderful memories our day that we wanted and are sure to go back to Michelle for more photos in the future! -

I had been in touch with COUNTLESS photographers during my search for the perfect person to capture our special day; as every bride does. Michelle's name was recommended to us around this time last year and we never looked back! We aren't exactly comfortable in front of the camera and we are a more introverted couple, but Michelle was so warm and made us feel so comfortable, that it was easy to forget we were taking photos! I love her authentic style of photographing and LOVED the fact that she was more focused on the candid's than posed uncomfortable photos'. Throughout the night Michelle stealthily made her way through the crowd snapping away at the memories being shared. We can't wait to see the rest of the day through her lens as we get photos back! -

Professional- knowledgeable- timeless photos
We chose Michelle through a recommendation of one of my bridesmaids. Due to her years of experience, she was incredibly organized and helped to keep us on schedule throughout the day. Her pictures really helped to capture the essence of the day and we will cherish them forever. She also got the pictures back to us within a month, which I consider to be a very impressive turn-around time. -

I can't believe it's taken us this long to write this review! Michelle was an instrumental part of our wedding day and would 1000% recommend her for your photography needs. Our wedding pictures and day-after photos are absolutely stunning! All our family and friends agree.
Leading up to making our photographer decision, I had been following Michelle on Instagram and in awe of how she captures the feeling/moment so perfectly. I always felt like I was there! When it came time to choose a photographer, we sat our parents down and did a side-by-side comparison with another photographer. Michelle swept the vote!
Michelle is super passionate and professional and helped us put together a realistic day-of timeline. Her talent truly shines in her shooting - picking locations where the light hits just right. She shot over 1000 photographs on our wedding day capturing the pure happiness, joy, and emotion of the day. It was so hard to slim them down for our photo book since there were so many good shots. We also hired Michelle to do our mini engagement shoot and day-after pool party. We loved getting to know her more, and her work style. We will continue to remain in touch with Michelle, and plan to use her for all our future photography needs. We cannot recommend her enough!
Bonus - She loves dogs, and was able to capture our Chihuahua/Boston Terrier mix just beautifully! -

Made the process easy!
Our entire experience with Michelle was fantastic from start to finish, which was a good 3 years. We were drawn to her because of the style of photos, and her ability to tell such a strong story with the candid shots. Our engagement shoot, my husband was very uncomfortable, but she put him at ease and soon had him smiling in all the photos (which is no easy feat)! We then had the misfortune of the Covid pandemic forcing us to postpone, but Michelle was with us every step of the way, through 3 wedding dates, 2 venues, all culminating in one long awaited and very easy day. Between the toddlers, two family members in wheelchairs, and unseasonably cold weather, Michelle made the whole day feel like a breeze. She even spent the time to explain to a 3 year old how the camera worked (he was scared of it) until he was comfortable. Our families are enamored with the albums, and it is hard to choose between all of the wonderful photos for which ones to frame! We highly recommend Michelle for any photography needs! -

When I first met Michelle and she described herself as a "photography ninja", I assumed she meant the typical discreet, non-intrusive approach. And I honestly didn't value this much because, from experience with multiple friend and family weddings, every photographer says this and every photographer has still been noticeable. Michelle, however, is different. It wasn't until we received our wedding album that we realized capacity of her ninja-skills. From the heart of the dance floor, Michelle captured the most iconic moments - tie in the teeth limbo, a dirty dancing lift, a new definition given to Shout!'s "a little bit lower now". Not only this, she captured the overall atmosphere in the room - the joy on our friends faces, the love shared amongst our families, and the unmatched excitement of ringing in the new year with the most important people in our lives.
While Michelle prides herself on these ninja-like characteristics, I would say her super power is simply her ability to tell your story. She won't just take a pretty picture of you, your sentimental items or reception decor, or even your guests. She collects moments. Every photo has a moment, a meaning, a story behind it. And when they are strung together in her beautifully hand crafted album, these photos allow you to relive each moment with the same joy, laughter, excitement, and love as you felt on that special day! -

From the moment my husband and I looked through a sample book of Michelle's work at our chosen vendor, we knew we had to book her! Her professionalism and skill are clear in every picture. She was great to work with, and we'll always cherish the photos and beautiful album we have of our wedding day. Michelle cared about really capturing the moment instead of just trying to provide us with cookie-cutter wedding pictures. We cannot recommend her enough! Thank you, Michelle! :) -

Look no further for the perfect photographer
Photography was one of our hardest vendors to make a decision on, since my husband is super attentive to detail, hates posed portraits, and wanted someone to capture the day as it was happening, and not someone who just posed us in the famous wedding bride and groom poses and called it a day. We also, as a couple, do not LOVE being the center of attention, and having our photos taken but Michelle took all of the stress off of us, made us laugh, and just let us enjoy being together in the moment! We got lucky because my brother and sister in law had used Michelle Arlotta and recommended her immensely, and we were SUPER blown away by their album and online gallery. She shoots in the way my husband wished more wedding photographers did. She pays such attention to detail, catches every single moment (they don’t call her the ninja for nothing!) and her knowledge of catching the photo in the perfect lighting is truly amazing and mind blowing! I did not have a single worry with Michelle, she is kind, attentive, responds to every one of my crazy emails and requests, and she impressed my husband and left him speechless which lets me win all of the arguments now! I actually miss my wedding day, because I enjoyed Michelle and her assistant immensely. I am so glad we chose Michelle Arlotta and cannot thank her enough for giving me still shots of people and memories from my wedding day for my to have and cherish forever! You seriously do not have to look any further if your stuck with your photographer vendor decision, Michelle Arlotta is AMAZING! -

Michelle did our engagement photos, our intimate wedding, and our big wedding (postponed due to covid). through the process Michelle was very professional and easy to work with. we had no idea how to pose or what to do behind the camera and Michelle guided us through the whole thing and all our pictures came out amazing, our family and friends are raving about them. She was very flexible and always got back to me right away with questions or concerns I had. All of our wedding photos came out so amazing I can't choose just one favorite. I don't think I'll be getting married again (2 weddings in 6 months is more than enough for me), but if I did, I would definitely hire Michelle Arlotta again! -

A-maz-ing!
We are so glad that we chose to work with Michelle on our wedding day. Her relaxed attitude, flexibility and calm composure was exactly the vibe we needed for our day. Her professionalism is unmatched and her extensive experience was super helpful in navigating all the pre-wedding logistical planning (and we had a LOT of logistics to consider!). There are really no words to describe how happy we are with our photos and wedding album - they are perfect. She had us hooked just days after the wedding with her Instagram teasers and blog post - we couldn't wait to get our hands on all of them, and her turnaround time was even quicker than we expected! She was able to capture all of our special moments (despite some heavy photog restrictions in our church), had a ton of patience with my large family portrait requests (even though I had no patience left!) and got some amazing candids of our guests (even after some of them crashed into her post-limbo on the dance floor). Michelle, again, thank you so much!! -

Stunning Photos!
Michelle is an AMAZING photographer. Ever since my sister hired her for her wedding, and I saw her work, I knew I needed to hire her for my wedding. She is all about getting ‘in the moment’ shots which really allowed me and my husband to relive our favorite moments of our wedding. She gets to know you on a personal level and was able to give direction easily during the photos. She takes the time to help building a timeline for the day to make sure we got in all the pictures we wanted. My husband and I are so in love with our wedding photos! I would absolutely hire Michelle again in the future. -

We booked Michelle for my November wedding at the Lake Mohawk Country Club in Sparta NJ and I couldn't be happier with our choice. I was looking for a light and bright style and photographer that embraced candids and the fun of a reception and Michelle really delivered. Of course she does an amazing job with bridal portraits and set family shots but what really differentiates her from other photographers is her ability to capture the little moments that make a wedding day so special. Everyone will tell you that your wedding day goes by too fast (so true!) and it is such a relief to have so many great pictures to help us remember the whole day. I had a large wedding, over 200 people, and I was originally nervous that Michelle would be the only photographer but she was EVERYWHERE. She did bring an assistant but still took almost all the photos herself and I don't think she missed a single moment. If you are looking for a photographer who captures bright colors, beautiful portraits, and amazing candids, you will not regret choosing Michelle Arlotta. -

My wife and I found Michelle while browsing through other couples photos from our venue. Both being in the creative industry, her more candid, conceptual style and use of lighting,is what really drew us to her work. We got in contact, and set up an initial meeting. After meeting and talking with Michelle, seeing more of her work in person, and discussing our wedding vision and specifics in great detail, we left knowing that she was 100% who we wanted to have shoot our special day.
Michelle has such a calm, cool vibe about her, that without realizing how long we were there, when we let to go home, we realized 3 hours had passed and it felt like the blink of an eye. The entire experience of us first meeting felt more like we were hanging out with a lifelong friend than a potential vendor for our wedding. Michelle was such a breathe of fresh air after some of the other vendor meetings we had.
To get our feet wet, and have some time in front of the camera before our wedding day we decided to to an engagement shoot at the college where my wife and I met. It was quite a grey, extremely humid day, but we decided to stick with the plan and keep the shoot for that day.
You would never know that it wasn't a sunny beautiful day from the photos. They came out absolutely beautiful.
Between the engagement shoot and the wedding day, we noticed in a lot of reviews from her other couples, people referring to her as a "Ninja". We weren't quite sure what was meant by that at the time, but figured we'd find out. More on that later.
Jump to the wedding day. Its a beautiful sunny July morning. We're both getting ready with our finest friends and family. We're in the final couple hours before our first look, and the sky turns grey and light rain begins. Michelle saw the weather turning and suggested to move the first look up an hour, which allowed us to get the first look in before heavy rainfall. The heavy rainfall did come during our other photos, but Michelle was completely unaffected by it, and got some of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL shots that we could have ever imagined.
The pre-wedding shots were over and it was now time for the ceremony.
In some sort of NINJA fashion, I never once saw Michelle during our ceremony, but again she managed to get so many amazing shots.
Reception time - Again we never saw her, but she managed to be everywhere, all at once, while capturing the most amazing shots that tell the complete story of our day.
When we received the photos from the wedding day, I thought the NINJA thing clicked in my head. "Wow how did she manage to get all of this, and I never even saw her". As I'm writing this review, I've realized it goes far beyond being in so many places at once and capturing as many amazing photos as she did.
As previously mentioned, she's extremely calm. She's extremely focused, prepared, stealthy, agile, and makes precise calculated decisions to make things go far more smoothly than you ever anticipated they would.
Her albums are Gorgeous. The prints are stunning.
Look no further. You've landed on the right choice.

Michelle was amazing! Not only are her pictures incredible, she worked with us to create a comprehensive timeline for the day. We were a little apprehensive about trying to fit in everywhere we wanted to get pictures and thanks to Michelle, we were able to squeeze in all the locations we wanted and didn't feel rushed or that we spent our whole day taking pictures. We loved working with Michelle! She is friendly and easygoing, honest and fun to work with. She really did a great job of telling our wedding day's story. -

Pictures were incredibly important to my husband and I as we navigated wedding planning, they're one of the few takeaways from this monumental day and after the fact, they give you a glimpse into the many moments you weren't a part of. As we review our pictures, we continue to see all of the stories of our day with the people we love most. Michelle captured our day so spectacularly, each photo beaming with joy, love, and emotion. She is an artist, with an unbelievable understanding of her craft and a style that is so genuine and real. Seamlessly and stealthily Michelle documented our day from place to place without ever getting in the way. When choosing a photographer for our wedding day, it was really important to me that we find one who doesn't over edit their photos, and to find someone who doesn't stage every single picture that is taken of you that day. Upon first meeting Michelle, she was so down to earth and it felt like we had been talking to a person we had known for years, not someone who we had just met for the first time. After reviewing her work and seeing her style of photography, we knew she was the perfect photographer for us! When we did our engagement session with Michelle, my husband and I were so nervous - but Michelle had a way of making us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and not silly or like we were being "staged" for special moments. Fast forward to our wedding day this past October, we felt so comfortable and at ease knowing that she was there to work with us. Michelle is able to capture special moments of your wedding day that you didn't even know existed, and I'm so grateful for the moments that she captured on our day. Our entire wedding day went by so fast and was such a blur, but because of Michelle, we are able to look at our beautiful wedding photos and relive one of the best days of our lives. What also makes Michelle so special is that, to be honest by the time the reception is going on - you almost completely forget that she is there taking pictures! That was something else that stood out to me about her style of photography - she isn't in your face the whole night asking you to pose certain ways to get certain photos - she just gets them on her own and is able to capture these incredible moments throughout the ceremony, reception, and even on the dance floor! With all that being said, I would highly recommend Michelle to photograph your special day. Aside from being amazing at what she does, she is quick to respond and is very flexible with your needs. You will not be disappointed - thank you Michelle!! -

As I scrolled through the photos, my cheeks were simultaneously sore and streaky from the giant smile and happy tears that I had plastered on my face the entire time. Michelle BRILLIANTLY captured our day. It’s as if I can not only relive my visual memories of the day, but more importantly, all of the emotions I felt during each part of our entire wedding day. You simply cannot say that about every photographer. She prides herself on capturing the moments that characterize your experience, so to describe her solely as photographer doesn’t do her justice. She is a storyteller. She gets to know your personality and your vibe almost immediately. She needed no direction; her expertise took her exactly where she needed to go on our wedding day and we truly couldn’t be happier with the memories that she magically bottled up for us, aesthetics and emotions alike. And of course I must mention, the quality and artistry of her pictures are flawless. It’s really not a matter of whether or not to book her as your photographer. It’s whether or not you have the privilege of her joining you on your day so you can experience it again and again for the rest of your life.
