My groom's tuxedo

Michael's did a phenomenal job. Ask for Holly at the Orange Park Florida location she is so flexible and will work with you. My groom works out of town and was not there till the day before the ceremony to pick up his tux she made so many adjustments and gave him all kinds of extra accessories so he can figure out what he want to use and did not charge us for them and let us have to touch little bit longer for bring it back after the honeymoon they really adjusted your schedule and it made our day very special.

My fiance was able to get great assistance with picking out the tuxes for our wedding.

I can't say enough about our experience at Michael's at St. Johns Town Center. Leslie and everyone in this shop have gone above and beyond to help us with all of our dresses and tuxedos. We feel like we've been treated like family - there is nothing this team cannot do, and nothing they will not do for their customers! The whole family agrees they have been amazing from the beginning when I first purchased my wedding gown, through renting all of the tuxes and now altering ALL of our dresses (that's a lot of altering for my tiny junior bridesmaids!)

Tuxedos were exactly what we ordered. Picking up and dropping off was very simple. The staff worked with me to get the look I wanted for the wedding party.

I actually went to the location in St. Augustine. I had prom dates rent their tuxes from this store, my sister bought her wedding dress from this store too. Amy seriously helped me try on just about every dress in the store. Once we narrowed down a style, she would even call me when new inventory arrived. I had a great experience!

Funny story; I found The Dress at another store (to be unnamed) and I called my girl Amy and asked if she could order it for me since they carried the line, Allure. Instead of having to wait the normal 4-6 months, I was lucky and my exact dress, color and size were in stock and I got my dress 2 weeks later. Amazing!

I loved working with Leslie and her team at Michael's Formalwear and Bridal. I loved my dress and alterations were done perfectly. I can't thank them enough for their time, patience and working with me to make my dress look amazing. After the wedding I also used their services to have my dress preserved. Thank you again!

They helped to make my wedding/anniversary perfect. All of my guys came from out of town so it is always effy if the tux's are going to fit. There were some fit issues but it was because of some of the measurements that were done at other suit/tux stores. They took care of everything. It was not a problem, they were so cool about everything. We made another trip to the store but it was well worth it. The ladies were so nice a and friendly, we felt like family. I will recommend this company over and over again.

These guys know what they're doing. We got my wedding dress and the groomsmen suits at Micheal's and everything turned out perfectly. My dress was stunning and captured exactly the look I was going for. The people at the store are all professional and were able to help me pick out my dress. All the suits turned out perfectly pressed and ready to wear. We are so thankful we turned to Micheal's for our attire needs on our wedding day!

I got my gown there and my husband and best man's tuxedo there. My gown was just perfect, with a little alterations. The alterations were done professionally and on time as promised. My husband and his brother ordered a package which included everything they needed for a very resonable price. We picked up our order on the promised time. And everything was perfect for our big day.

They were wonderful to work with. I found a dress in a magazine that I loved. Michael's did not have it in their store but could order it for me. I was nervous to do this without trying it on, but I was able to find it at a different store. I told Michael's that I knew my size and that I loved the dress. They told me they could get it for about $600 less than the other store. I couldn't have been happier. They do great alterations and my dress turned out beautiful!

Excellent service. The groomsmen and the ushers where coming fro several different cities and even from out of state. All tuxedo;s picked up in one location, perfectly sized and ready to go! Thanks to making the corrdination of our day such a breeze! Great quality as well. I got my tuxedo free with the rental of the others. Check them out for ongoing special deals...

I got my DREAM dress for an excellent price! They have an excellent selection & everyone @ Michaels was super nice & helpful... They laughed @ me when I went back & "visited" my dress 4 times before actually purchasing it, but they didn't make me feel like I was annoying them or wasting their time (which is a common complaint I hear about other places). I have already referred several of my friends to them, & they were successful in their hunt for the dream dress too!

Michael's, who provided all of the tuxedos for the guys in the wedding, were so pleasant to work with. All of the groomsmen and ushers were out of state and Michael's made it so easy for them to order their tuxes.

Additionally, we ordered the tuxedos at the Mandarin location, but picked them up at the St. Augustine location; everything was exactly the way it was supposed to be. Very nice experience and the tuxedos were spectacular!

This shop made me SO happy. Not only do they have beautiful gowns (reasonable prices too!), they are SOOOOO helpful, so nice and engaged (not a sale but a person to them). Their location is convenient and they worked so hard for me and helped keep me sane with all kinds of hints and patience. My main girl was Vickie but Leslie and Leeann are also wonderful! Their seamstress is Lily and she is THE best, truly. So friendly and fast and did an amazing job. I even had a couple custom changes/favors that didn't even phase her. Just a quick story as a testament to how cool these girls are: one day after my first fitting, my mom and I left my camera in the dressing room. When I got home and realized, I called right away. They said they had found it and would hold it no problem. Days later I had already picked it up and thought nothing of it, I was showing someone pictures of the dress and the last pic on there was the three salesgirls posing with a sign they had written that said they loved me and wished me the best. It was so cute and thoughtful. Just full of those kinds of personal touches.

The vendor allowed the guys to try on and pick up their tuxedos at any location convenient to them and rented out the tuxedos for a fair price.

Wonderful to work with~!
They took great care of all the grandfathers in my family and my dad! When my grandfather arrived his tux was too small, they had him a new one the next day! That was a Thursday and my wedding was on Saturday!

I also bought my veil there, Leslie is the best help!

I highly recommend Michaels at the Town Center in Jacksonville. Leslie was wonderful to work with! She really listened to me and pulled fantastic dresses. Throughout the whole process everyone was so helpful, professional, and sweet. Alterations were very reasonable and well done.

I had a great experience with Michael's Formal Wear. They helped me pick out dresses, let me try it on and make sure the one I got fit right when it came in, and everything was on time by the date they promised. The price also seemed reasonable. In fact, my experience was so great, I told my best friend that she had to start there when looking for her dress. She unfortunately didn't have the same experience. The sales staff seemed to be over-booked that day and paid little attention to my friend. The bridesmaids ended up picking out the dresses and helping her put them on. I'm hoping that the sales staff just had a one-off day that day and I would still recommend them to others.

Small shop with Great prices

Found the perfect dress that was a floor sample. Beautiful! The salesperson helping us was moving gowns and stepping on them. She didn't assist in getting into gowns. We did end up buying a great gown though.

My husband rented his tux there. The service was great. He wasn't sure what to get exactly and they helped him decide. The tux looked great, except that the was not really his size and the vest had stains on. He hadn't noticed it, when he picked it up. I'm glad my mom got the stains out. But the shirt, was to short and kept coming out while we were dancing. They were very flexible because my husband had to go to Germany for the wedding and the extended rental fee was reasonable.

This is a family-owned business. The warehouse is local, so you don't have to order very far in advance. We were satisfied with everything about this vendor, except a bit disappointed in their advertised "specials". They advertise special pricing to get you in the store, but the actual "special" isn't what you'd want, so you end up spending much more than you expected.

My dress was what i always dreamed of as a little girl, it was also originally a haltertop and the seamstress was able to make it into a capsleved sweetheart neckline and was amazing! The guys looked good in there tuxes too!

Moderate selection. Used for all wedding party attire. Alterations decent good but pricey. Tuxes were rented, arrived on time and in good condition. I found some of the employees to be very helpful, while others were quite rude. They lost my appointment once and was told I couldn't be fitted after I arrived. Steamed my dress well and got it perfect for the wedding.

Bought my dress from michaels beautiful excellent price and service. Got the tuxes from orange park location. Grooms tux was perfect thank goodness. All the other tuxes were too small and had a tear in one shirt and a tear in one of the vests. My ring bearers was tight and the best man had to wear his own dress shirt because his stomache hung out of the one provided.

Michael's is not the place to go if you want that experience that every bride dreams of. (You know, the 'Say Yes To the Dress' experience :) ) They have a decent selection of dresses and I ended up going with them because I had fallen in love with a discontinued dress that only they seemed to have. I will also comment that their seamstress is not very good. Most of the employees are nice.

I have mixed feelings about Michael's. We had grooms attendants go to three different locations and they ALL had different experiences. I would suggest staying as far away from the Regency location as poosible, they are idiots. My nephew ended up with a mens jacket intead of a youth, my fathers-in-laws shirt was two sizes too big and his shoes two sizes too small. It was a mess. I loved the Rivercity Marketplace location, they got my husbands shoes wrong, but everything else was ok, except my fathers pants looked like high-waters till they took the hem out. Ok so I take that back. It all going to go wrong, just expect it. The only good thing I can say was that they were no questions asked willing to rectify it all. Which is good, otherwise Bridezilla might have made an appearance.

I would not recommend this vendor to other brides. The quality of the tuxes we received for our wedding was sub par. First of all, even with prior measurements, the groom's jacket was too small. They took care of it before the wedding, but that required an additional trip to the store to pick it up. The day of the wedding, a button popped off the groom's jacket, his tie was dirty and fuzzy. As for the groomsmen, one of the shoelaces broke when he was tying his shoe and the vest broke. It appeared that everything was way past it's prime in terms of wear and should have been retired. Their tuxes might pass for a highschool prom, but they have no business giving their customers such poor quality for such an important day.

Measurements on all my items were very wrong

I went in to the store at the town center a week before my event. I picked a pink striped vest and tie for our Friday Tux affair. Got a text on Wed. that my tux was ready for pickup, Upon arrival to pick up my Tux and try it on, Told my choice of vest was not avail. at the warehouse. I was so looking forward to wearing this vest (No previous call or notifying me) Stuck with a black vest/tie - Tried on all items - Pants, Too short and 2" too big in waist. Shirt, Too tight to button. Jacket, Sleeves Too short. What should have been a 10 minute pickup is now a disappointing 45 - 60 minute task to find and alter needed items. What was the purpose of measurements if they are not using them? Their available vest color selection is very limited too. I asked for a price adjustment for my disappointment and inconvenience and was told I already got a discounted rental fee, so Sorry but I can't. Will look else were for next years rental.

My husband, father and all the groomsmen ordered their tuxes from them. All of the tuxes, except for the father of the bride, came in with the wrong vests and ties. You wouldn't think this would be a big deal, however they told us we lied about what we ordered and told us to live with the mistakes. Nothing matched!! Finally, after arguing for an extended period of time, the promised to fix the problem. They should have just done this to begin with and there would be no complaint!! Horrible Horrible Story

My fiance and his guys got their tuxedo's from michael's in orange park mall. Things were ok until the day we returned the tuxedo's. My now husband realized by looking at his bank account that they had charged him for an extra suit. My husband can see his account on his phone so when we got there to talk to the girl at the counter and show them his bank account they acted as if we were lying about the whole thing and when they were adding up the total they kept adding it wrong so when i corrected them they went to get the manager who was a total bitch to us. Finally after I had to get the little bridezilla left out of me on her she finally refunded our money. We should've went to Mens Warehouse.

I found a beautiful dress and beautiful bridesmaids dresses here! I should have walked away at the red flag when I found out they only carried size 8 dresses. I happened to be an 8 though, so I stayed. My bridesmaids had to be measured and all required alterations. They were very rude and unwilling to work with us at all! I only stuck with them because it was too late to go anywhere else by the time I noticed all the red flags. I had two bridesmaids in tears :-(

Customer Service Responsiveness

I recently had a disappointing experience with Michael's Formalwear and Bridal. I was married on August 31, 2024, and we ordered suits for our bridal party from this store. My husband and I provided detailed information about each member of the bridal party and the required suit colors before their fittings.

Unfortunately, on the wedding day, we faced several issues: some suits were too large despite proper measurements, and one Best Man's suit was the wrong color. Additionally, one of our groomsmen experienced a significant problem. Although he was measured at the store, the pants of his suit were too tight, and he ended up busting the sides of the pants due to the store's inaccurate measurements. When we returned the suit, the store representative informed us that we would be required to pay for the damaged pants.

We addressed these issues with the store and were told to speak with the manager. We were assured that our concerns would be noted and discussed with the manager upon his return the following week. However, after following up a week later, we were informed that the manager had not been contacted. It has now been two weeks with no resolution or communication from the store.

Based on my experience, I WOULD NOT recommend this vendor for formalwear or bridal needs.

They were nice till they sold me a $2,000 dress then were really unfriendly and not willing to work to try to get any alternation done for it. Very disappointing :(
