Personable professional playful photographer

Michael is very personable, professional and our favorite vendor from our wedding!!! From the start, he was genuinely interested in knowing and telling our story and celebrating that story. He helped our day flow smoothly, helped us set realistic photography goals, and took leadership direction to get the portraits we wanted while also being playful. Michael gently reminded me to smile when I was too stressed and nervous, and with just one sentence in an elevator ride, normalized the chaos of the day, which changed my welling stress tears to laughs. He was a photographer and therapist! He was very accommodating when we didn’t need an engagement photo session and came to photograph our rehearsal and dinner instead. Michael was also very culturally aware when we needed him to photograph the private Chinese Tea Ceremony prior to our garden ceremony with our full guest list. If there’s any room for change, I would have just communicated more of our choreographed first dance with him ahead of time so he could anticipate when to capture difficult action shots. We would hire him again for future events and highly recommend him to friends and family!!

Words can’t describe

Where to even begin! Working with Michael was hands down one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding! The moment we started wedding planning, I knew Michael was who I wanted to capture our special day. I had seen his work at a friends wedding and instantly fell in love with his artistic, creative and heartfelt images that he captured. From the start, he was super responsive, kind and BEYOND helpful with everything! He made sure to constantly tell us that our wedding day was to be about us and he was there to help in any way, from capturing those special moments, to dress fluffing, to family wrangler, he did it all and with a smile on his face! The images he captured had us feeling like we were back to our special day and reliving it all over and over and over again! Hands down the best decision we made for our special day!

The Best!!!

I can not say enough about Michael!
He is the nicest, most caring and compassionate person EVER.
From your very first phone call until your last. We booked Michael for our wedding and I could not wait to use him. Unfortunately, we had some family issues we had to change things last minute. I was sad about it, but I was so thankful I had the chance to cross paths with him. Who knows maybe I'll throw on that gown again and get some pictures done :)

Absolutely one of the best experiences

Michael highly impressed my husband and I the entire way through the process. From our very first meeting with him his professionalism and skill made us feel completely at ease. He and his team made posing feel so natural and easy and our photos definitely reflect that! All of our photos came out so much better than we could have ever dreamed of! I would (and have already) highly recommend Michael to anyone getting married!

Couldn't be happier!

My husband and I decided to get married in a short two weeks leaving not much time to square away details. Michael has worked with my sister-in-law in the past and he was the first and only suggestion she gave us regarding a photographer. Not only did he change plans to help us out, he made it painless and was so nice and easy to work with. We didn't really know what we wanted, it was such a whirlwind that pictures were a second thought. After seeing the final product, I couldn't be more happy with choosing Michael. It's something you don't think about until you actually have the documentation of such a special day, and he gave that to us. I could not recommend Michael more. So professional, easy to work with, affordable, and gave us exactly what we didn't know we wanted. 5 stars!

Great experience!

Michael was excellent on the day of the wedding! He was incredibly professional and was able to communicate clear ideas on the day of that made pictures a breeze and made them look beautiful! I was nervous for pictures because I am naturally a shy person (as is my hubby!) and we were both comfortable and he captured the moments beautifully. Even my brother in law who is a wedding professional himself was incredibly impressed and said he has never seen such a good photographer! Would recommend him to my best friend!

He is great!!!

Michael did an amazing job on our engagement and wedding photos! He was very helpful and great to deal with. We were unsure of where to take our engagement photos but he provided great locations, and made the experience the best one ever! For our wedding day, he even drove 3 hours to get there on time.

All thumbs up on this one. Great communication, super work, and very pleasant to work with. I will definitely use Michael again at our next opportunity!

A priceless capture!

Michael does amazing work, his views and captures is truly priceless. He was recommended by our best friends who used them for their wedding, and we absolutely loved their wedding photos and needless to say, our wedding photos came out amazing! He's is very accommodating to what we asked, even changed the meet up location few times at the venue and at the hotel etc, and he was very professional about everything. The price, the amount you get, the attention you get, Michael will be recommended each time!

Easy to work with!

Michael was great from start to finish! Before the wedding, he asked us for a list of any specific photos we wanted to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. He came prepared with the list and organized my big family so we got each photo on the list. He was fun to work with, easy going about little hiccups that inevitably happen during the day, and most importantly delivered fantastic photos.

True Professional and Artist

From the moment we saw examples of Michael's work and read reviews, we were so excited to have him photograph our wedding. Michael is a true professional and we loved working with him -- at the end of our wedding he and his team felt like they were part of our family. The photos he was able to capture are not only stunning but also incredibly touching and genuine. That was one of the things that was so important to us--sometimes wedding photography can feel overly stylized but not with Michael. He was able to capture beautiful candid moments so when we look at our photos we get to relive our best day ever. He was flexible, responsive, and there for us when we needed help wrangling family members on what was brutally hot summer day.

Michael was great! From the initial conversation until the last song was played, he just put us at ease and was a true professional. During our consultation he asked us great questions (that we hadn’t even thought about!) and set the tone for what would be a very positive process for me and my husband. He and his assistant were friendly, accomodating and talented, well welcomed members to the wedding team. MIchael’s style is to be part of the scenery, he wasn’t obtrusive, yet was always there to get the shot. At one point I dropped a glass and he swooped in to make sure I was out of the way and also picked up the broken pieces. We loved the pictures, he captured the varied settings well and with a perspective that fit each place (ceremony, portraits, reception). We definitely recommend Michael Davis.

Michael and his team were so fantastic to work with! From our engagement shoot right up until our wedding day, Michael was easy to get in touch with, attentive to the things we were looking for, and he really made my husband and I feel comfortable having our pictures taken. Michael is willing to do whatever it takes to get the perfect shots, and it shows in all of our amazing pictures. Also, he’s just generally a pleasant person to be around, which is a plus when you’re spending your whole wedding day with someone :) Would definitely recommend Michael!

We cannot say enough good things about michael. Between our engagement and our wedding we moved, and he was so accommodating, even hiring an assistant in Philadelphia for our special day. He worked closely with us, and wasnt afraid to tell us what to do, both during engagement photos and the wedding. He also handled our rehearsal dinner! You know your photographer is dedicated when he lies down in a street or on the floor to get the best angle possible. Highly, highly recommend Michael!

We could not have been happier with Michael as the photographer for our wedding day. He was responsive and flexible during the planning process, meeting with us in person and over the phone. On the day of our wedding he was fantastic - he was able to corral our bridal party and large family for pictures in a friendly and efficient manner, and kept everything fun but also focused so we kept moving forward on our timeline. Along with capturing a bunch of great candid shots, he checked in with us multiple times during the reception to ask if there were people we wanted to make sure we had pictures with, which I really appreciated. Michael was the best photographer I could have hoped to have for my wedding day! We saw so many photographers through our search and not only did Michael have the best cost, he also had our favorite pictures. We were so lucky to get to have him capture our day. I highly recommend hiring him if you are looking for a wedding photographer.

Michael has a great eye and captured all of the emotions and moments we would want to remember from our wedding day. We were also shocked by all of the angles he was able to shoot and wondered how he was able to get so many great shots by himself! You will not regret having Michael capture your wedding day too.

There just aren't enough words to describe what an incredible ARTIST, Michael is. On my wedding day, I saw first hand how he was able to take the simplest of things (wine flukes, wedding rings, flowers) and make them into their own masterpieces through his photography. I was absolutely floored at how he was able to set up some of our wedding décor for his photos, and he was incredibly creative in how he captured each moment (he literally laid on the ground to make sure he got THE best shots!). As he took pictures, he also stopped to show me some of the shots he had gotten, which was really exciting. I was extremely thankful at how gracious he is as well. He "went with the flow" when our timeline ran behind, corralled roaming family members for our family photos, and was AMAZING with the children in our wedding party. I was particularly appreciative at how flexible he was in terms of planning for the day and how he always had a calming word or two when I got flustered. He is truly a master of his craft and a consummate professional.

Michael did an amazing job on our wedding day as well as our engagement photos. He is seriously passionate about everything he does and you can tell he loves his work. There is also a really quick turn around with photos which is great and his assistant was amazing with my god daughter on the day of the wedding! He is easy to work with and offers a lot of suggestions and things to consider that you wouldn't normally think of which I appreciated. He is cool and collected and got the job done and did it VERY WELL! He also works well with your other vendors also in terms of communication around the flow of your day and where he should be for photos and thats very important! would recommend him to anyone!

LOVED IT! So beyond happy I found Michael T Davis Photography. I love the wedding photos and I loved the whole process working with Michael. Planning the wedding was of course stressful but once I found Michael and he told me all about his services, it was one less thing to worry about. From our first conversation he explained his wedding packages and what would fit best with my budget. He answered all my questions happily, even the silly ones. the day of the wedding he was AMAZING. He was able to capture everything and I had no cares in the world all I focused on was getting married. He was energetic and professional. I don’t count myself as photogenic but Michael helped with that. It was also freezing the day of my wedding and you would have never known. He was able to capture beautiful moments and what I also loved about the photos is his attention to details and artistic style. Some of the photos I don't even know how he got them they were so awesome. I am so thankful and happy that I picked Michael Davis to do my wedding photos. I love every single picture and will cherish them always.

I am SPEECHLESS at how amazing Michael was. I absolutely hate having my picture taken, and hate having all eyes on me so you can imagine the panic and anxiety that was ensuing on my wedding day. When I started to have a panic attack, Michael kicked EVERYONE out of the room we were getting ready in, calmed me down and did pictures of just me. It was like having a therapist mixed with a photographer.

We also didn't want to spend a lot of time on pictures, and he did such an amazing job at capturing the moments we wanted without using up 4 hours of our night. We asked that he capture "moments" and not posed portraits, and he followed us around for the bulk of the night snapping moments nonstop. We've only gotten a few of our preview pictures back but let me tell you, they are BREATHTAKING. I seriously can not say enough amazing things about Michael. BOOK HIM IF YOU CAN.

We are extremely satisfied with the final products.

Michael prepared us prior to the wedding day and on the Wedding day was, along with his assistant, extremely pleasant to work with, punctual, very organized, and unobtrusive at the event, yet very engaged in giving you the photographs you want.

We had a rather large event (120 guests). Michael and his assistant were very flexible. They went from bridal party preparations (starting fairly early), to Church preparations, to the ceremony, to the reception, and managed to capture it all.

A great experience overall, and we strongly recommend him.

Mr. Davis is incredibly talented at his work. I am so happy I chose him for my wedding photographer, he not only made a stress bride look relaxed but he was able to work with a very tricky venue background and make it beautiful. He was prompt and on time, and got to work immediately once arriving. My family and I are very happy with all her captured. I will be using him again for my next big event.

Words can't express how much we are impressed and touched by Michael’s work. He isn’t a just a photographer, he is an artist. He has the eye and talent to capture the depth and powerful emotions people want to hold on forever. He has the ability to bring to life the symbolic objects that represent a wedding – the ring, the dress, the cake, even the vows.

We hired Michael for our wedding, which is a surreal day for the bride and groom. When we viewed all of the wedding pictures for the first time, we were able to go back and relive that day all over again – he turned that whirlwind of a day into a story book without words.

Michael is very professional to work with – and a perfectionist who wants to provide you with the best service and will only deliver a magical product that you will forever cherish.

Michael was beyond amazing to work with, and the photos were stunning! He was very professional, helpful, patient and fun with us, friends and family throughout the whole day! We are now able to look through the many wonderful photos and relive the laughs and teary-eyed moments over again - and there were many laughs to be had! The action shots and candid photos are perfect and really shows the liveliness of our wedding and reception. I would hire him again if we ever need a photographer again and will definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking around for one!

Working with Michael T. Davis Photography for pre-wedding photos and during our wedding weekend made our wedding more FUN. Initially, we were nervous about taking pictures, but it ended up being very comfortable and enjoyable. We hired Michael as our wedding photographer. He was a true professional from the beginning to the end. I loved his portfolio so I was interested in talking with him. Prior to the wedding, Michael responded promptly and gave me answers to the questions I had. So, we hired him. We will remember his participation at our wedding fondly. On the day, he was prompt, dedicated and worked hard. His photos were just wonderful - I think he is proud of them too. He also brought with him an equally dedicated assistant. Michael was very professional from start to finish. He listened to what my fiance and I wanted and made it happen. We hired Michael for our February wedding, and he was wonderful! We loved working with him. Choosing Michael T. Davis to be our wedding photographer was one of the BEST decisions we have ever made! He is extremely friendly and professional, and very flexible and accommodating. My husband did not want to have an engagement photo shoot, even though it was included in all of Michael’s packages. I talked with Michael about the possibility of getting back that value in some other way, figuring it would be worth a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how many different options he gave us to choose from! My husband and I were able to customize a package that was PERFECT for the two of us. In addition, literally the day before the wedding, I asked Michael if he could come half an hour early so that we could take the Bridal Party photos before the ceremony started. Even though it was so last-minute, he was more than happy to move up the time for us and arrive a bit earlier. These are just a few of the many examples of how EASY it was to work with him.

The wedding photos came out AMAZING, by the way!!! My friends, family, and I all LOVE them and can’t stop looking at them! I remember the first time I looked through the photos, I was overwhelmed with so much happiness and emotion as I relived each memory. Every time I look at them, I can’t keep from smiling and feeling happy. That’s powerful, and that’s when you know the photos are good. Period.

Michael certainly has an eye for photography. While planning my wedding, I had considered a few photographers but Michael’s portfolio easily beat the competition. And while working with him, I found out why! He is almost willing to do anything for the perfect shot. During our engagement and wedding shoots he would lay on the ground, go in a bush, and even balanced on a rock in the middle of a stream! And all that innovation and dedication made for some of the most amazing shots. You just cannot beat the quality of his photos. What first drew me to Michael and MTD Photography was the budget. We had a really strict budget...and I did a bunch of DIY projects in order to spend a little extra on a photographer. Michael was so worth it! I was super strict with interviewing candidates for a wedding photographer...because when everything is said and done, the photos are the only keepsake you have!

The second and probably most important thing that sealed the deal with Michael was his dedication to journalist/storytelling photography. I wanted to tell a story from both the bride and groom's perspective during our day. Michael stood on top of tables, moved heavy chairs, ran, laid on the floor!!! He was awesome. Our photos truly capture our story and our personality...from every angle! There are soooooooooo many photos to choose from!

Great energy day of the wedding

Michael and his team were my favorite vendors of all during my wedding day. Michael was calm, confident, and in control, and he really put my wedding party at ease. For the kids in the bridal party (and if I'm being honest, for me too), the camera tends to bring out some bashfulness/awkwardness, but Michael did a great job helping us loosen up. He was ultimately able to capture genuine emotions during special moments throughout the day. I also really loved some of his ideas for artistic shots in addition to the traditional portraits. If I could do it again, the only thing I would have changed would have been to plan out ahead of time which areas of the venue I wanted pictures in, but Michael was really flexible throughout the day at responding to my requests. He and his team were very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Honestly mixed feelings.

Well my day, was a rainy devestation which completely threw me off balance. I looked forward to getting amazing garden shots instead of just ballroom shots. I think Michael could have done a better job at exploring the venue for alternative shots. But i suppose that was my job🤷🏾‍♀️. It took a while for my pictures to come back, and when i got then i was underwhelmed. I dont have any epic shots, and what i have doesn't do my spectacular venue justice. I remember my guest complaining about him being nowhere to be found all night, and taking pictures of nothing- which i then told them in sure thats not true... he was affordable, and alright, but there bbn is no 5 star review here. But I posted the nice one, so that you see some potential.
