Our wedding was made extra special by having Michael officiate.
We met months in advance to plan our ceremony. Michael guided us through the process and met few different times to complete our questionnaire so he got to know our personal love story.

Michael was wonderful! I reached out a few weeks in advance of my wife and I traveling to CO to get away from the TX heat. We were engaged for 3 years and decided it would be a great experience to get married while in CO. After contacting Michael, he was available and more than willing to help make our day special. He offered some beautiful wedding locations for us to choose. He was well dressed, well spoken and was very personal be to us. It was excellent and super glad we met Michael as our officiant!

I can't begin to say enough great things about Michael. We had the absolute pleasure and blessing of having Michael marry us in Tampa, FL and he was one of our favorite parts of our wedding. This is very near and dear to my husband and I. He could not have performed a more beautiful ceremony, really there wasn't one dry eye in the house. I heard compliments all night about the personable and beautiful script that he wrote for us. We can't thank him enough for everything. Absolutely the Best Officiant Ever!
Michael officiated our ceremony last weekend in Estes Park, CO. The process with him from start to finish was seamless, professional and fun! From the first intro email to the congratulations email he sent before the ink was dry on our marriage license, we knew we had chosen the right person to marry us. He is responsive, kind, funny, focused and open to making the ceremony extremely personal. He even led a Happy Birthday to my daughter during the ceremony as a surprise because we got married on her birthday!! He honored my late husband in a very special way and was open to our request for a hand fasting during the ceremony as well. He is unique and we got tons of compliments on him during our reception.

Michael Moody is THE officiant that you need. My chaplain had a stroke 4 days before my wedding and needless to say, I was stressed! Reached out to Michael after reading his reviews and he carved out time for me even though the wedding was 4 days away.

We were very lucky to have Michael officiate our ceremony in September 2022.
We wanted someone who could lead and design the ceremony while also personalizing it to us. We got exactly what we wanted in Michael! In fact, many people asked us how long we knew him. He was so warm, funny, and great public speaker.
He guided us through the whole process and made it very easy. His questionnaire was thoughtful and fun to complete as we thought about all the reasons we loved each other and wanted to get married. And then to hear how he incorporated those notes in the ceremony was wonderful.
The whole experience from, our first contact with Michael to the ceremony was amazing. He was also such a calming presence the day of and put you at ease.

The most magical intimate elopement
Michael was outstanding ! My husband and I got married on 2-2-22 and Michael came to the rescue with the most beautiful ceremony for us. Our courthouse wedding plans changed due to a big snow storm and he made time for us to give us the most beautiful ceremony of just us two. We feel so lucky to have Michael’s blessing! Michael was wonderful - he officiated an at-home elopement for us in our living room, which we also live-streamed over Zoom to friends and family. He let us customize everything and made sure we were comfortable with how the ceremony would go. He also was extremely flexible and adaptable when we (of course) ended up running late. Michael Moody Rocks!
It's a daunting task to find an officiant. Even more so during a pandemic. We read as many reviews and personal blogs as possible, and one name kept coming up: Michael Moody. The reviews written all went a little further in thanking him and mentioning how great he was.
Once we reached out to Michael, it was obvious why everyone liked him so much. He was extremely professional and had a plethora of information, and also ensured that every imaginable detail would be covered. But he's not just professional, he has a great sense of humor and is really laid back. He puts you at ease, and it's very welcomed -- especially at a time when things may not be going as planned.
Our ceremony was perfect, and Michael handled everything beautifully. We knew we were validated in choosing him when nearly every guest made a point of telling us how much they liked Michael and how he presided over the ceremony.
The officiant is one of those participants who can make or break your wedding. Don't leave it to chance: Michael Moody is the best officiant out there!

Micheal is an excellent officiant who brought a very heartfelt, warm and personal touch to our ceremony. Professional and inviting, Michael was able to take our love story and crate a beautiful ceremony. We found Michael approximately two months before our wedding which was rescheduled due to Covid. When we were left without an officiant for our rescheduled day, he was able to jump in seamlessly and give us exactly what we were looking for. He has excellent communication skills and was in constant contact with us up until the day of our wedding. Anytime I’d email him, he would respond within the hour. A truly outstanding officiant
My wife and I used Michael Moody as the officiant for our wedding on July 25th, 2020. With all of the uncertainty and stress surrounding planning wedding during a pandemic, Michael was a bright spot that made the entire process much easier. He was thorough in researching our relationship to make sure that his words were as meaningful as possible, he made great recommendations on things to consider for the ceremony, he was punctual, and his delivery during the ceremony was very sweet genuine. We give him extra kudos for staying completely composed with what must have been 100 degree heat during the ceremony! Our wedding was planned very quickly and in a short amount of time during this COVID 19. Michael made Our Day... AMAZING!!
My New Husband and I are so very thankful for Michael!
Sadly for us, our wedding day was affected by Covid-19.
We planned to be wed 15 years to the day, at the time, and the place, that we first met.
Our initial ceremony was to be held at the restaurant where we first met with a small gathering of 50 of our closest family and friends.
A few weeks before our wedding, we decided to cancel our ceremony due to the fact that many of our guests would have to travel to be with us.
We whittled from 50 down to 7 of our closest, local, family and friends. After reworking our plans many times due to restaurant closings and to accommodate a small gathering we finally had a plan.
3 days before the ceremony our minister became ill.
My fiancee reached out to find another minister to officiate our ceremony and he was very fortunate to find Michael.
The following day our Governor shut down the state of Illinois and this is when we both Gave Up!
We canceled everything and everyone.
Then... the day before our 15 year anniversary we decided that This Day... was way to special to change.
We contacted Michael the day before and asked if he was up to a challenge. In true profession Michael agreed to meet with us the following day on The Shore of Lake Michigan in a very windy 32 degrees... while social distancing.
Michael officiated our wedding with such a beautiful, personal and heartfelt ceremony.
Michael went above and beyond.. and froze with us, as he made us laugh and made us cry..
Michael evoked an enthusiasm that was unbelievable.
We cannot imagine a more Perfect Day in our lives...

We originally thought that having a family member conduct the service was the route we wanted to take for our wedding, until we were introduced to Michael. Michael made sure the service was personal and heartfelt by taking the time to get to know us as a couple, but it was his experience as a wedding officiant that really helped make our wedding ceremony as special as it was. His leadership during the rehearsal process and his invaluable help organizing the ceremony (down to the smallest detail!) meant that we could relax knowing he had prepared the exact type of ceremony we were looking for. Michael was amazing! We were very happy with how our ceremony was performed and would absolutely recommend him. Everyone I talked to at the ceremony said that we had such a sweet, intimate, ceremony and they truly enjoyed being there. The best compliments my guests gave him were that they thought he was a personal friend of ours because of how sweet and personal the ceremony was. It was so funny how shocked everyone was when we told them we just met him over the phone!

August 2019: I still cannot get over how personalized and perfect our wedding ceremony was. Michael incorporated so many details about our relationship history, aspirations, and personal interests from our introductory phone call. During planning, he gave us unique suggestions to include in the ceremony. Michael was the best! He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and attentive to details. He was laid back and open to all of our ideas while also knowing how to ensure the ceremony ran smoothly. He knew when to be serious but also joked and made light of moments that didn't go exactly as planned. Michael took time to understand our relationship and story. Ceremonies second to none
My wife and I wanted a secular ceremony that was tasteful and meaningful. As it turns out, this is difficult, as we couldn't really build upon formulas that many religious ceremonies offer. Michael helped us put together a ceremony that was personalized and just the right length. We are both wine enthusiasts, and Michael incorporated a wine ceremony that gave the ceremony a bit of flavor. Michael plays the field as an officiant, he is obviously able to accomodate any type of ceremony and make it special for the couple. I would confidently recommend him to anyone.

Michael is very prepared and customizes the ceremony speech to make it seem like he has known you for years! Multiple people asked if he was a family member. He was able to really connect with everyone in the room. When we first met with Michael, he has you each fill out a form that really helps him understand you as a couple and what you are looking to convey in your ceremony. He used some of the stories that we shared in this form in the ceremony service which provided exactly what we were looking for - a light-hearted and loving environment. He actually brought my husband to tears - which is rare! Michael was very helpful at our rehearsal as well and helped keep everyone on track so everyone knew what to do on the day of. All in all, we are so thankful that he was able to officiate our wedding and he did a fantastic job!

He always quickly replied to our emails and clearly was genuinely concerned about who we are as a couple and making our ceremony something special and personal. Michael's questions to prep his writing were excellent, and he clearly took time to read and thoughtfully craft a beautiful ceremony for us that included inside jokes, stories, and poetic writing. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding officiant for our wedding day! Michael was sensational! From the moment we corresponded via email, the rehearsal and then the actual wedding, he was top notch with us through the whole process. We live in Kentucky so Michael met with us via Face time and spoke and got to know us as a couple, learned our vision for the wedding, suggested readings and how the wedding would go (which he already had laid out for us prior to our meeting -so helpful for us seeing we had no idea about this sorta thing!) ..He was very thorough from the get go. Michael was also so helpfully instrumental during the wedding rehearsal, guiding us on how things would go, going over everything the day before! The next day, the wedding went flawlessly. Everything he wrote for our wedding to say, the vows he help create with us (my husband became choked up at one point! it was very beautiful), and the way he interacted with our guests was perfect. We had so many compliments on how professional, well rounded, and personable Michael was. He made our wedding day everything we wanted it to be!

I don’t have enough words to tell you how pleased I am with using Michael Moody. People literally went up to us after our ceremony and asked us what friend married us. He takes so much time to get to know the couple and truly cares about his work. He met with us a couple of times to really get our background and understand who we are as a couple. He was extremely professional, always punctual, and just a great guy. He married our friend last year and during their ceremony I knew that was the guy that I wanted to marry us. He put lines in our ceremony that We’re so unique and special I don’t know how anyone could top him. He also had great suggestions for you if you don’t quite know what to add to your ceremony to make it special. This was super helpful because we didn’t know what readings were appropriate for a non religious ceremony, but Michael had so many suggestions. 10 out of 10! Can’t say enough great things! We don't have enough words for how great Michael was for our ceremony, as well as the time leading up to the big day! Not only did we feel the ceremony was personal and heartfelt, but our friends and families gave lots of kudos to what a beautiful ceremony and wonderful officiant. He even pleased Grandma :) He successfully and genuinely shared our love story with our guests, while also adding a flare of lighthearted laughter which was the perfect touch. Michael's words at the ceremony were a perfect blend of sentimental, narrative, advisory, thoughtful, and comical. We all aww-ed, laughed, and teared up throughout Michael's beautiful guidance and story-telling at our ceremony. We had family and friends who have all been to multiple weddings tell us that our ceremony was the best they've ever heard. The first time we met with Michael we talked for a couple hours, he was so easy to talk to, he genuinely cared and listened to every story we told, he asked all the right questions and developed a fantastic relationship with both of us right off the bat. Michael was always available by email as we sent him updates and pictures as we finalized all the ceremony plans. He was flexible, attentive, worked incredibly well with our venue and dj to make the ceremony so beautiful. Michael was so invested in customizing his speech and tailoring our ceremony to our personality and values. We actually asked for a copy of the ceremony on paper so we could commemorate his impeccable writing to remember for the rest of our lives. My husband and I had held a small ceremony (only parents and siblings) last November in Vancouver. When we decided to redo our vows and exchange rings in front of a larger group of friends and hold a reception, we started looking for an officiant. We messaged several in the Chicago-area but none stood out until we met Michael. He took time out to exchange phone calls, emails, etc. All of which helped ease my nerves since I was all the way in Vancouver and couldn't meet face-to-face beforehand. He did a wonderful job with the ceremony - touching upon everything we wanted (from our love story to snippets of humor that had our guests bursting with laughter). When we first met with him to discuss our wedding and our relationship he showed that he was interested in learning about us and performing a ceremony that fit our needs. As an event planner, I was impressed when working with Michael for the the first time. The bride and groom had chosen him for services and I had not yet met Michael, but email communication leading up to the event was smooth and easy. At the rehearsal he was timely, friendly, and very accommodating. The same goes for the wedding! He was clear and precise in his timeline of the ceremony and worked to ensure not only the bride and groom, but the family and bridal party were happy with the flow and length of the ceremony. Michael was the officiant for our wedding on 4/16/16 - and I was blown away! Michael was spot on in making our ceremony so personal and unique. We received SO many compliments on the ceremony at our wedding. I must have been asked 50 times how we found him.
Michael took time to get to know us and built the ceremony accordingly. No part of his process is cookie cutter.

Michael Moody performed a beautiful ceremony. He did a wonderful job getting to know about us and our story. He made the ceremony very personal and we received many compliments about the ceremony. I would highly recommend Michael Moody.

Michael Moody made out ceremony better than we could of ever imagined. From the moment we contacted Michael it was clear he takes what he does seriously. He takes the extra time to get to know the couple to give them the ceremony that best fits them. Afterwards our guests praised how great the service was and we totally agree. We invited him to stay for the reception and he was very engaging with everyone and very sincere.

I was so impressed by how amazing Michael Moody was on Sunday's wedding at ZED 451. He was the officiant for a wedding that was hosted with us. He was professional, enthusiastic and very well spoken. He personalized his words to fit their lives. Great job, I will be recommending him to others..

Michael was such a great officiant. We got many compliments on our ceremony and how it seemed to really suit the two of us. He took the time to meet with us and figure out what type of ceremony we wanted and then tailored it so it felt very personal and unique. He was very professional and thoughtful.

Michael really made our day special. He is a beautiful speaker and made our ceremony so personal and meaningful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The wedding of our dreams!
The officiant services provided by Michael Moody exceeded our expectations. We were overjoyed to be getting married, and Michael made the experience even better. We had a very intimate ceremony at a local B&B, but I am confident that Michael would enhance weddings of any size or setting.
Michael took the time to talk through all the elements of a wedding ceremony, to ensure that the structure and format would conform to our expectations. It did. It seemed that he really “got” us and had a strong sense of our vision for the perfect day. During our pre-wedding meeting, he asked a lot of questions about our relationship, history, family and values. He incorporated this information into a personalized ceremony that truly reflected our “love story.” In short, he asked the right questions and had tremendous insight to ensure that our wedding was the happiest day ever. I cannot recommend him enough!
