  I just got back pictures from my May 2016 wedding and am absolutely IN LOVE with them! Mike did such an excellent job of capturing all the special moments of the day and has such a great eye for detail. He made sure to get in all the necessary portrait photos of the families, bridal party, etc but then also had so many ideas for fun and unique pictures! Mike had my husband and I climbing on top of a rock to get an amazing view of the mountains behind us. It's something I never would have thought to do and is one of my favorite pictures of the day! Looking at these pictures allows me to relive my wedding day over and over again and I couldn't be happier! Thank you Mike!

  Mike took our engagement photos and our wedding photos. The engagement photos were great and from what I've seen of the wedding photos, I am definitely more than thrilled :) Mike is particularly great with candid, natural shots. He's not one to stop what he's doing to move you into position, so that's something to consider if you want/need someone who is going to move your arm so it looks skinny or help arch your back so you don't look slumpy. But his ability to move behind the scenes and appear invisible during the day-of getting ready was impressive and so very much appreciated. He took some incredible, raw, emotional action shots that only a true pro would be able to capture. He was super responsive via email/text, very flexible with our changing schedule, and always professional and kind. If you go with Mike you won't be disappointed.

  Mike and his team were so amazing throughout the wedding process and the video was better than I ever could have hoped for. If you want a video you will want to watch over and over again this is your guy. Got more compliments on the video than anything else. They were the BEST

  We hired Mike for our engagement & wedding photos and we couldn't be happier. We also referred him to a family member for a May 2016 wedding in the mountains and the pictures were breathtaking. Mike is truly a professional, and very laid back which is a perfect personality fit for my husband and I. I would highly recommend his services.

  Mike, of Michael J Photography, is a close friend and did our videography for our wedding. Saying he went beyond our expectations is an understatement. Not only did he create an amazing highlight reel that documents our entire day, he gave us video of our entire ceremony and reception in a costume made DVD case. Mike does an amazing job capturing the ceremony and party, but really keeps in mind the bride and groom - making sure to capture those moments that show this is YOUR day.
  
  My advice is don't settle for a cheap package. Having a quality video of your day will help you relive it over and over again!

  My husband and I have admired Mike's travel photography and his creativity for years, so when we decided to get married Mike was an easy choice. We especially loved the candid shots he captured on our special day and are looking forward to having him as our family photographer in the future :)
