This duo was WONDERFUL. They were recommended to us by a relative, and they were amazing. Knowledgable, friendly, and did a fantastic job. Our venue was already beautiful, but the flowers and greenery (ours was a February wedding and we wanted earthy and simple) were incredible. They arranged greenery around our cupcakes, and made stunning bouquets for our girls and me (the bride). Everything was fresh and smelled so good. they gave us recommendations for storage and when to have everything ready by, and were on time for everything. The price was VERY reasonable given the wonderful work they did. As the bride, I was blown away by how easy to work with they were, and how wonderful everything looked. Colors were perfect, and they were very helpful in matching flowers to our theme and colors. They also had wood slabs and lanterns for use which was great, and had many other options for rent as well. Wouldn't use anyone else for flowers!!! -

My husband and I got married of November of 2020 at the Chesapeake Bay Beach club, and in the midst of COVID chaos we were able to find this florist and they absolutely KILLED IT with my bouquet, our arbor and the men's boutonniere. I am not a very big flower person and I wanted something that had more greenery and matched the aesthetic of a "beachy fall wedding". Even though we didn't get to meet until day of, Jim and I were in communication via text and he absolutely exceeded all of my expectations and made all my crazy ideas and Pinterest fantasies come to life. I would 100% recommend! -

I highly recommend Michael Designs Florist. Jim and Shaun went above and beyond in every respect when designing my wedding flowers and working with my vision and budget. The result was so perfect that I think they must have used a bit of magic...which goes to show that their level of customer service is at an incredibly high level. Additionally, they were highly communicative, prompt with the floral delivery, and dedicated to ensuring the table arrangements were correctly placed. I felt like they were part of my family because of their care and genuine joy in being part of my wedding day. Thank you Jim and Shaun for being so wonderful and for sharing your talent and passion!!! -

Simply beautiful
The only part of my daughter's wedding day that was more beautiful than her were the floral creations by Jim and Shaun of Michael Designs Florist! From sourcing that special flower which was not available until the last minute to capturing the aesthetic Monica envisioned, the smallest detail was not overlooked. They went well above and beyond our expectations and were an absolute pleasure to work with! -

Jim and Shaun are INCREDIBLE! I knew after the first time I met them that I would not have to worry about a thing! I am beyond satisfied with the service and perfection of all the flowers for my wedding. Jim is incredible, so easy to get in contact with and taking an idea and turning it into perfection. I honestly cannot say enough good things about how incredible they are as people and their work. Just absolutely perfect! -

Our experience with Jim and Shaun at Michael Designs Florist was amazing. They were a pleasure to work with, listened to what the bride wanted and created perfect stunning florals for our daughter's wedding. The girls' bouquets were exactly what the bride was hoping for. The natural wildflower look and the colors were perfect with their dresses. But the arch for this beach wedding, oh my goodness! I could not in my wildest dreams have imagined such a breathtaking work of art. I cannot recommend Michael Designs Florist more highly. -

A friend recommended Shawn and Jim and they ended up being one of our very favorite vendors! They were so engaged, easy to work with, hardworking, and loved what they do! Their vision and talent for floral arrangements, colors and the overall theme of our wedding was undeniable and perfect! They were always welcoming, friendly and personable during every meet up. They went above and beyond and helped us match napkin colors with the floral arrangements and last minute floral bouquets on Mother’s Day, which happened to be the busiest time of year! EVERY SINGLE TIME the floral arrangements were absolutely GORGEOUS! We got so many compliments on their work! I saw one of their arrangements and based my whole wedding theme around it! I LOVED IT! I highly highly recommend them and look forward to working with them in the future! -

Joann Sent on 07/05/2018Michael Design Florist designed the flowers for my daughter’s wedding on 6/30/18 at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. The flowers were breathtaking. Jim and Shaun were so much fun to work with. Great customer service. From the very first time I met with them I knew we chose the best.
The guests complimented the flowers all evening. Do not hesitate to have Michael Design Florist for your wedding or other occasions. They are simply the BEST❤️ -

When we had our consultation, Jim had put some actual samples of flowers together based on some photos I had sent him. He is so organized and answers all the questions honestly. He MADE our wedding look so elegant and put the look that I wanted together in such a special way. We visited 3 other vendors for flowers and NONE of them compare. I highly recommend Jim and Shaun for your wedding day.

Elizabeth Sent on 11/26/2017I had to plan my Maryland coast wedding from California and it was so stressful. I had to do a lot of planning over the phone. Jim was wonderful to work with from the beginning. I told him my colors and he put together some mockups and sent me pictures via email. They were gorgeous. On the big day there was traffic on the bridge and they called and let me know they would be a little late. I appreciated the communication so we weren't left wondering. I was stunned when I saw the flowers in person. I loved them so much. They were beautiful! He had added these unique touches, like thistle. I was so impressed. I was sad I had to leave the bouquets with my mother as we left on our honeymoon! Jim was so professional, always responding promptly and working with me. I can't recommend Michael Designs Florist enough.

The arch, the flowers, the table arrangements inside, the cascading bridal bouquet - the colors were magnificant and set the tone for a splendid wedding setting. Lyz Sent on 04/26/2017Jim and Shaun are the absolute best! After talking with me for 10 minutes he knew exactly what I liked and what flowers would appeal to me. Jim is so patient and hilarious, not to mention their work space and environment is where I would go and do some meditation. The air is so clean and crisp, I did not want to leave. If you are in the MD area, no doubt in my mind this is where you should go. I am looking forward to my wedding, flowers are very important to me, and this makes me so much more excited for the big day. -

He was up front and honest with me about what he thought was a good idea and what he thought wouldn't work. He made suggestions that totally made everything come together. The flowers were STUNNING and they were EXACTLY what I had envisioned. Absolutely LOVED them. Cannot say enough good things about him! -

User1334760 Sent on 07/26/2013Without any doubts, Michael Designs is by far the best florist in the Annapolis area and I would recommend them to any future brides without hesitation! Words can hardly express how happy I was with my flowers on the day of my wedding. They were beautiful and exactly what I was picturing throughout my year and half of planning for my wedding. Jim and Shaun did an amazing job and all of my guests complimented us on how beautiful everything looked. Jim is a true professional. He listens to his clients and comes up with terrific ideas. I was married at a private house and Jim took the time to tour the property and meet with my other vendors. When I saw my flowers on the day of my wedding, it brought tears to my eyes. My only regret is that I do not live closer to the Annapolis area in order to use their services on a more regular basis. My husband and I are so grateful for the work and attention to detail that Jim and Shaun provided us. -

Susan Sent on 04/11/2013Jim and his team did a fantastic job for our wedding and reception at London Town and Gardens. We met with him about 6 weeks before and he pulled a bunch of flowers from his cooler to show us his vision for our wedding based on the photos and ideas I had emailed him. He was very easy to work with and did a beautiful job. Everything was in place at the right time and was exactly as we discussed. He even augmented some of the jars I provided to make the cluster of flowers at the center of every table even more robust. I heard so many compliments about the flowers. They looked and smelled awesome. The centerpieces were still alive 10 days later so I know he used fresh high quality flowers. I am excited to recommend Michael Designs Florist. They will not disappoint you. -

They provide exceptional quality and value and prompt and professional service. Our wedding guests could not stop talking about the gorgeous centerpieces and wedding party bouquets. Simply beautiful!
