Our guests said it was the most fun wedding they've been to!
I definitely recommend Michael and also Christie Ramsey (photographer) because they work seamlessly as a team.

Highly Recommend Michael Day DJ
We were very grateful for Michael's flexibility in our wedding planning process. Our wedding details changed during the pandemic and Michael was so flexible and accommodating to work with us and plan our smaller wedding in our backyard. Michael works to make sure that he provides exceptional service and he has an awesome music and light setup! He is an easy person to work with and is a great addition to any event that needs a professional DJ! We are very appreciative of his effort and level of care/service. We look forward to working with Michael again next year at our full reception! We highly recommend Michael! Thank you, Michael. -

We had a lot of changes to our wedding (i.e. venue, time, location, and number of guests) because of COVID-19. Throughout all these changes, Mike was there for us. He was always upbeat and remained flexible through the fluid process of planning and re-planning a wedding during COVID-19. When our big day finally came, Mike did a phenomenal job DJ’ing our wedding.
We would highly recommend using Mike as a DJ for any event. We also highly recommend taking advantage of his price package that includes dance lessons. He is a great instructor and has a passion for teaching. -

DJ Micheal did a wonderful job. We had a destination wedding and only needed him for the reception that was held 2 months later. We skipped many of the traditional reception formalities and Michael went with the flow. Everyone was up and dancing the whole night. Thanks to Michael and Amy, the night was unforgettable. Michael also has a photographer, Christie that did an amazing job. -

Michael did an incredible job working with us on our wedding and we are so grateful we found him and were able to book him as our DJ. Michael worked around our difficult work schedules and some last minute cancellations to get us several dance lessons so we were able to have a stellar first dance as husband and wife. On the day of he managed the show smoothly and joined us out on the floor. Michael provides not only a quality service for an incredible bargain, but is a quality person as well. We could not reccomend him highly enough. -

Was very responsive with email, text, phone, and in person meetings! I highly recommend Michael Day DJ! He was amazing to work with, not only did he teach us how to waltz for our first dance, but he made sure we felt comfortable doing it and had enough practice. He was very thorough and made sure he had everything he needed and made sure we stayed on time with all of the events during the reception. He also was there and played the music for our ceremony as well. Thank you Michael for keeping our reception fun and exactly what we wanted!! -

Most amazing DJ I could have ever asked for, for the wedding. Very fun great guy there was not a moment that someone wasn't on the dance floor! So experienced and every bit went so smoothly. He was extremely interactive with everyone and there was not one sovereign face in the room! My family is still boasting about how amazing the DJ was he made all the day so much more special ❤️

Micheal was perfect. He made everybody for us stress free. He helped us keep our wedding flowing and made sure we didn’t lose track of time as you easily can. He created a perfect playlist and even though we weren’t huge dancers really created an amazing time for everyone at our wedding. He was always prompt in answering our questions and any concerns. We were so glad that we found someone so affordable and amazing at their work. -

My family and I celebrated the 80th Birthday party for my Dad this weekend. I was fortunate to find Michael Day DJ Services. He didn't only have all the songs we wanted but kept us on track for the entire evening. Michael is very personable and makes everyone comfortable. It’s very apparent how much he enjoys everyone having a great evening. My family and I would highly recommend Michael for any event. He also brought along a friend of his, Amy Larson, that sang a special song for my Dad. She made a beautiful addition to the evening. Thank you, Michael! -

Michael was easily our favorite wedding vendor! Not only did he DJ/MC for the reception but he also provided excellent audio for our outdoor ceremony. Michael was a delight to work with, going out of his way to accommodate us. He also taught us the waltz which we got to perform for our first dance as a couple. If you're looking for a fun, classy, interactive DJ, Michael is your guy, everyone loved him! -

I would highly recommend Mike! My wedding was November 17, we hired Mike as our dj/mc and he did a phenomenal job. A lot of of guests were kids-he did a great job providing games to keep them busy. He also made sure to run any song requests by me before they were played, which I really appreciated as I didn't want any songs with foul language played at my reception. The sound quality was excellent and I can truly say he was a huge attribute to making our wedding day memorable. -

From our first meeting to the last minute of our reception he was completely focused on our wishes and and a consummate professional. His attention to detail and thoroughness prior to our wedding was illustrated in several meetings and even dance lessons! The day of our wedding he anticipated our needs before we knew them allowing for us to thoroughly relax and enjoy our reception. Mike had the guests DANCING and HAVING FUN!

Christie Sent on 07/13/2017If you are looking for a DJ, educate yourself. Most DJs play music, and that is about all. An MC (Master of Ceremonies) will keep tabs on your event, monitor the crowd, adjust music, entertainment, and schedules as needed. Mike Day is BOTH a DJ and MC. I have been to many, many weddings (I'm a wedding photographer) and so often the DJ never even *thinks* to check in with the photographer as events unfold. This can lead to missed photos, or a poorly managed schedule. Any DJ can play good music-that's a no brainer. Can your DJ think on his feet? Can he adjust if something happens? Does your DJ have the wedding party's names CORRECTLY written down, in the correct order for the grand entrance? Is your DJ actually paying attention to what your guests are doing? Does he notice if they are bored with the music? I was at a wedding with Mike when the line for the meal service became so backed up, that the crowd became restless. Mike began engaging the guests with all sorts of games to keep them occupied until the back-up cleared. THAT is the mark of a true professional. In addition, Mike is also a dance instructor, so he's absolutely savvy on the dance floor. Ballroom? He's your guy. Two-step? Yup, he's got that down too. Whatever your theme is, I've seen him do it. 90s popular country? He's done that, too, I've seen (and heard) it. And he is as patriotic as they come---he volunteers his DJ services for many veteran events around the KC metro. For the price, you absolutely can NOT beat the level of service, professionalism, AND experience Mike brings. Don't skimp or settle for your neighbor's high school kid who has an iPod and big speakers. Don't settle for a DJ with flashy soundboards with pretty lights. DEMAND a DJ and MC who will work one on one with you create a custom playlist, who cares as much about your guest experience as you do, and who is beyond reasonable with his pricing. -

Michael Day is above and beyond my fiancé's and my expectations. He is so organized and communicative. You can really sense that he is passionate about his career and his business. We live in a time where quality of customer service is lacking and this is someone who will blow you away with his above and beyond accommodations.
