We met and hired Michael Cruz (DJ Cuban) through Dan Goldman Events in search of a DJ and MC to cover our ceremony and reception. The year was 2021, so you can imagine our collective desire to party and to really interact and engage with our guests during the reception given how quickly the day passes. Michael worked with us and helped us trim/edit the ceremony music, and he executed the reception perfectly. He transitioned seamlessly from/among our own EDM selections, traditional wedding pop songs, and his own additions based on reading the crowd. We received so many unsolicited compliments from our guests about the music - some said it was the most fun they've ever had dancing at a wedding. The spirit carried on even after the wedding ended, as most of our guests went out to the off-site afterparty and we know they are usually not the ones to stay out past midnight! We highly recommend DJ Cuban for all celebrations! -

Book DJ Cuban if you want a party that everyone will remember. I knew that two things mattered a lot to me regarding the guest experience - FOOD and MUSIC.
My husband and I knew exactly the type of music we wanted played and we provided a long playlist of song options. Even though I had a small wedding (therefore a spaced out dance floor) the PARTY WAS HOT. Everyone was dancing the entire time. My father in law (who hates dancing) kept repeating how absolutely fun the party was including the music! By the way, my father in law DID end up dancing so that's how you know it was FUEGO!
I also LOVED how the DJ could tell we were hype and ready to play the more not safe for work (NSFW) music. My friends and I were having the time of our lives. Honestly, party of the century thanks to his music and mixing skills. I loved that we had a variety to please the multiple crowds that were there. He was also very kind throughout the process and responsive. Hire Michael Cruz if you want amazing music and the party of a lifetime!Michael Cruz's reply:

Michael did a great job at our wedding! We were looking for a bilingual DJ with experience doing multicultural weddings, and Michael was recommended to us. The recommendation was spot on, cause he picked a perfect mix of music that got everyone at the wedding dancing! He sent as a user-friendly online form to use for planning before the wedding, which we really appreciated because it gave us plenty of time to work through details and change our preferences as we got closer to the wedding. We had a pretty short list of requested songs but a lot of artists we didn't want played, and Michael followed all of our requests perfectly. And his choices were spot on! We got lots of compliments on the music throughout the wedding. He also was a great MC for the evening, which was important for us since we didn't have a wedding planner. Thank you Michael for helping make our wedding everything we hoped for! -
Anne Sent on 09/27/2018DJ Michael Cruz (DJ Cuban) was the absolute BEST! The dance floor was exactly how we wanted it the entire night---packed! He was so helpful in planning and reached out to us before we even thought about reaching out to him :) He made the last few weeks of planning so much easier. He listened to exactly what we wanted and executed perfectly.
He killed it as MC. He stuck right to the timeline while also being flexible with last minute changes we wanted at the reception. He was never "cheesy," and instead did a great job of "pumping up" the guests to get the party started! The night flowed perfectly! He had me send a recording of each bridal party member's name so that the pronunciation would be spot on.
He also KILLED it with the music! I gave him a play-list with "must" plays and "maybe" plays. He picked the perfect timing for all of them to be played and the transition from one song to the next was flawless. He cut off the first dances at the exact places we asked him to.
He ensured that all of the mic wiring was perfect so that we didn't have any issues. He was extremely professional, fun, and reliable! We cannot recommend him enough!
