Best DJ Ever!

DJ Mike King is truly the best DJ ever. He saved my wedding when a previously booked DJ ghosted us. He went above and beyond when planning with us, even when we were working with a short turnaround time. At our wedding, he had the best energy and was so kind, doing everything he could to help us out. Not only that, but he kept our dance floor packed the whole night. We had so much fun and recommend him wholeheartedly. If you want to have the most fun wedding that everyone remembers, book Mike!

5/5 Wedding ceremony and reception

5/5! We had Mike DJ our wedding ceremony and reception. We first learned of MIC King from a previous wedding we attended, in which he was the DJ and loved how he went above and beyond for the bride and groom. For our wedding, he continued his ‘above and beyond’ mantra and helped the bride with a shoe change and offered to grab us drinks from the bar! He knows how to work with the audience to get them pumped up. Of all the weddings we’ve attended, he was the most engaging DJ and kept the dance floor populated all night.. He has a fun and welcoming personality that makes him very easy to work with. I highly recommend MIC King for your event!

Best DJ Ever!

When I had originally spoke to Mike about our wedding I told him my goal was to make sure everyone had a good time. Not only did he do that, but went above and beyond making sure the bride and the groom had everything they wanted including food and drinks. Having 170 I was sure it was going to be a challenge to play to so many different people. For Mike it seemed like he did it with ease. He played to every individual there and had so many creative games to keep the party alive. All night we had people dancing and I heard from most everyone how much they had truly enjoyed our DJ. I would highly recommend him for any event and will plan to use him for family weddings in the future!

Fantastic DJ for our 50th Anniversary celebration

We highly highly recommend MicKing Music!!!! We recently had them for our 50th anniversary celebration. Mike was able to get all ages from 3 to 94 involved. Everyone had a good time. Mike read the crowd very well and kept everyone in on the fun. Our guest loved the 360 camera and the roving camera. Mike and Darthy made our celebration extra special for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Dancing on the Clouds!

We hired Mic King Music for our wedding, they set up TVs for a slideshow during my father-daughter dance. They also did "dancing on the clouds" during our first dance. The TVs were perfect, they handled running the slideshow too which was such as relief! The "dancing on the clouds" was amazing!! It made our first dance look so magical! And it made the pictures look incredible!!

Mike is the best!

We had Mike DJ our wedding on October 23rd 2021 at The Legacy at Green Hills. He’s SUPER easy to work with getting all the wedding music picked out- extremely organized throughout the entire process. His personality is super fun and gets the family and friends smiling and dancing all night long!! Additionally, he helped my now-husband and I with the timing throughout the night to make sure we got to everything, but did it in a way that did not feel rushed! He was able to mix two songs together for our first dance, and had playlists already lined up that matched our indie/alternative favorites! If you are thinking about getting a DJ for your wedding, you can't go wrong with Mike!! He will help ensure you have loads of fun on your special day :)

Best dj ever!

We discovered MIC King Music and Events through the KCPWG wedding convention and through our venue owner. Mike was such an essential vendor! He was SO helpful in the planning process for our wedding during our vendor meeting with him. He went through every detail on our client portal (highly recommend completing your client portal as soon as possible) and gave us valuable tips and wisdom for our wedding. During our wedding, he created such an energetic, fun, positive atmosphere, which is exactly what we were wanting! One of my bridesmaids described him perfectly: "Mike was awesome - part DJ, part mother hen, part wedding planner!" He went above and beyond to make our special day perfect - he nabbed my husband and I some of our cocktail food and drinks, ensured we got a whole box of leftover catering, played a game with the guests when our couple pictures took some time, etc. We can't thank him enough! :-)

The goat!

GUYS!!!!! This Man!!! IS! THE! BEST!!!!! Hands down the greatest DJ, entertainer, and bonus wedding coordinator! He did everything! He made sure we had drinks all night long! He made sure our families made it to where they needed to go. He even made sure my in law ate dinner, and packed us a midnight snack for our get away car! He also was a fabulous DJ. He mixed together the father daughter dance and clarified with me every step of the way what songs would be played when. He was out of the dance floor getting the party started and kept it going all night long! Would recommend to anyone who wants to have the best wedding ever!!! Seriously made our wedding as perfect as it could have been!

Best & affordable DJ

Mike was the DJ for our May 2021 wedding and was one of our favorite vendors to work with. As soon as I got off the bus to our reception, he was outside with our drinks of choice. He did a great job keeping the event on track and coordinating with other vendors, even breaking down tables for us. He even handed me the microphone when I was goofing off on stage so I could see a song. If you choose Mike, you will know things are going to run smoothly and he will be happy to be there. He is a great price & even let us go over time for a small fee. Thanks for the awesome work Mike!

When God make Mic King, he first put a heart of Gold in his chest!

What an entertaining, engaging DJ! As the Proud Parents of the Mother of the Bride, we cannot brag enough about this amazing and talented gentleman! Mike went beyond our imagination to be the endless hero in every stage of our wedding event! He was more kind than words can express to make our day a success! Before we even knew what we needed next, there he was, getting us bottles of water to keep the photography and videography sessions running smooth!

Mic made certain that our Bride’s Dreams were the gold standard of his Mission! As the Mother of the Bride, I was diligently trying to get to every table to thank our family, friends and guests for coming to this beautiful Wedding Day at The English Barn. Mike was so gracious to kindly insist that I had to enjoy a little dinner before I could visit more and playfully escorted me to my family table. Thanks to Mike, it was the first time I had sat down all evening!

Mike can get the Party Rolling! His charming character and banter with the audience brought our guests to enjoy the hilarious antics of the Survivor Game so much! Even our friends from Dallas, Texas, shared that they had never had this much fun at a wedding! We had other family members say how delighted they were with the songs he played! Guests loved that they could recognize their era of music also. Mike used his talents to monitor the volume so pleasantly at dinner that guests complimented how nice it was to still be able to visit at their tables.
Mike was a blessing to have on our Dream Team! He was most attentive, always involved and fearless in making all of our guests have a divine time to cherish!

Our best advice is to call him today! His calendar is going to be busy! We would adore having him at any future dates for our family and we would adjust our planning dates to enjoy his talents again!

We are forever Thankful for our vendors who helped us make our wedding the best!
Specifically Mike King! Thanks to this specific man and his partner we had an awesome and fun night! Our guest & our family were so happy, laughing and dancing having a great time!
This men went above and beyond not to only play music but to make sure we were taken care of, making sure mi tia (my aunt), family and guest didn't need anything to drink or eat! Amazing care!
I would love to share pictures from our favorite game "survivors" :)
What a wonderful memory we share!

Amazing music and entertainment!!!

I have never seen a DJ better than Mic king Music and Events. Mike was amazing and went above and beyond. I've never had so much fun at wedding, but I may be biased because it was mine. He is not your typical stand in the corner DJ. He had the crowd pumped with awesome games and music. There was never a dull moment. He interacted with the guests and made everyone feel welcomed. Mike was engaging and made you want to get on that dance floor. He even showed some moves!! He's was catering to us and added so many special touches. Due to Corona we couldn't do a dollar dance, but he saved the day with an alternative raise money with cake in the face. Mike kept the party flowing smoothly. He even took pictures during our last dance and I didnt even notice he was there. He caught such an amazing moment for us. Let's not forget his awesome beautiful wife Darthy for all her help from hair and entertaining. You all were amazing!! Mike made my day truly special

Dream Wedding!

Mike did an ABSOLUTE perfect job with our wedding! It was way beyond expectation and he created a moment between my father and I that neither of us were expecting and will ever forget. customer service to infinity and beyond

Mike King (or Mic King), was an absolutely incredible addition to our wedding experience. He handled the audio for the ceremony perfectly, and with little direction from us, delivered on exactly what we wanted for the entire event. But the true benefit of having Mike as a DJ and entertainer for your wedding, is that he is also there for you in every respect, as a party planner, photography entertainer (for kids photos), personal drink and food delivery. He literally was at our beck and call all evening, and made sure that we had everything we needed. We had a treat bar at our reception, and Mike made a grab bag of goodies for us before all the sweets ran out. If he hadn't done that, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy them. We both now consider Mike to be the best in the business and a trusted friend. Every other vendor we hired for our party was excited that Mike would be a part of it. If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, don't think. Just book him now before someone else does.

Loved working with Mike!

I am so glad I hired MicKing for my wedding! I was really torn on what to do for a photo booth until I stumbled across Mike at a wedding vendor event and fell in love with his camera, (and his incredibly fun personality)! I knew he would be the perfect fit to help our guests have a blast at the photo booth with his hats and props. He was also awesome to work with leading up to the wedding while we were designing the templates for photos. Our guests LOVED the fact that they could send the pictures they had taken directly to their phone and post them on social media - that was my favorite part about his equipment!! People lose track of the print outs but the digital memories last forever!! I'm so glad I hired MicKing for our special day.

Best dj ever.

Hannah was AMAZING! She was so helpful the entire night. We booked her for 7 hours and we couldn't have been more impressed with her or her services. Our parents raved about her and our friends and guests could not quit talking about how amazing she was the entire night! We are wedding professionals ourselves (Photo and Video team) and we haven't seen anyone better than this DJ!

Wedding 10/27/18

I don't know where to start. First if I could give more stars I absolutely would. We Initially had Connor as our DJ and he ended up having to cancel due to a Concussion. We ended up having Mike King himself be our DJ for our wedding and he was the most amazing DJ I could have ever asked for. Not only was he a DJ, he helped pin Boutonnieres, he helped coordinate the processional, He ran beverages out to us in the apple orchard while we were taking pictures( I literally mean he ran, and not just once but he brought us drinks a few times!) He brought me out a plate of appetizers in the field while taking pictures. He held my plate while I put food on it at the buffet. He served everyone drinks at the head table, he cleaned up our table after we were done eating, He was the best DJ and played a super fun game of Survivor. In a Nut Shell, you'd have to be crazy not to hire Mike. At every point of the night he made sure to go above and beyond. All of our guests are still shocked at how amazing he was. I would hire him a million times over!!!

Hannah went above and beyond what was expected of her. She played a large portion of the songs we wanted to have played. She kept everyone engaged and even participated in the fun. One of the things that stood out was the fact that she offered to prepare a plate for me to save any risk of spilling food on my dress. She also bussed tables and made sure my husband and I's and our family's drinks were always full. Her set up was great and she was very punctual and professional. We would recommend her a thousand times over! We also appreciated the easy booking by Mike and the check-up by his wife at the wedding.

What a great corporate event! It was made all the better because of MIC King Music. Mike, our DJ, read the attendees and match the music to the crowd. When it was time for the speakers, he added appropriate drums rolls at all the right places. He even made a personalized gobo for the entrance floor. That was such a special touch! The crowd didn't want to stop dancing. Thank you, Mike.

We had a great wedding reception thanks to MIC King Music and Events. We came to Hannah with a unique combination of music and she was able to make it work at our reception. Hannah and Darthy went above and beyond at our reception, doing more than just playing music, but also making sure we had everything we needed all night long. We attended multiple wedding shows in the months leading up to our wedding, and whenever we ran into Mike and Darthy, they were always so friendly and recognized us. Mike, Darthy, and Hannah were great to work with, and we would recommend MIC King to anyone.

Both me and my husband have some pretty eclectic music tastes and we knew our wedding DJ/MC had to live up to our high standards, and we are pleased to say that MIC King delivered! We searched high and low for someone who would fit the bill, but Mike won us over with his professionalism and energetic personality. Unfortunately just a few weeks before our wedding, we found out our perfect DJ Mike had chosen for us would be unable to DJ our wedding! I was more than stressed about this news and fretted about what to do, but Mike stepped up! He got us another DJ, Jackson, to play our reception, and on top of that Darthy also joined to facilitate the night. Jackson and Darthy sat down with us to make sure they got all of our songs and details right (and to help calm my nerves!) Jackson took our list of songs, did a great job tracking down some uncommon pieces of music, and made a superb mix that kept the dance floor going all night long. In fact, I maybe left the dance floor once throughout the night! The MC job between the two was just fabulous and they helped keep the events of the night going smoothly. They did a great job letting us know what was coming up and modifying our timeline to accommodate last minute changes to keep it flowing. Everyone had a blast the entire night. DJs and MCs can really make or break a wedding reception, and we are so happy that MIC King made ours!

MIC King was absolutely amazing. Our DJ Hannah was right on with our song selection and transitioned things so smoothly throughout the night. Not only that, but she regularly checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay, getting things like waters, food, etc. if we needed them. These people truly do go above and beyond and are definitely worth every cent!

DJ Mike went above and beyond what my husband and I would have asked from him for the wedding and reception. He helped make our day extra amazing! I have used other DJ's in the past for resident events, But Mike with MIC King is by far my new favorite. He really engaged with our residents and made them feel even more at home. We couldn't have selected a better DJ for our 1st Annual Pool Party!!

Best DJ ever!! Catered to not only my every move but my bridal party, and parents as well. They acted more as my coordinator/wedding planner and made the entire day flow beautifully. Mike and Chris were absolutely great! They both saw my vision and made sure everything turned out exactly how I wanted it. Mike was great at keeping in touch with me up to the wedding to make sure everything was going smoothly and so that he could really understand what I was wanting from the day. Chris did a great job of getting the guests up on the dance floor and kept the mood going. Couldn’t have asked for a better time!

We have nothing but positive things to say about Mic Kings! They were not only great DJ’s but very helpful wedding coordinators. They let us know where we should be at exactly what time, brought us drinks after our ceremony and even served me (Bride) food. Both Mike and DJ Conner were extremely professional and I highly recommend them!

You guys are fantastic! We were so pleased with everything you did for us. The communication, follow through, and execution was delivered beyond expectations. You are so genuine and thoughtful and we were so lucky to have found you and have you as our dj and now friend. You kept the party going and everyone just raved about how awesome you were! Mike kept the party moving and the dance floor full. He was professional is every way. As a former DJ, picking a DJ for my own wedding was a difficult task. He exceeded every possible expectation! We loved having Mike at our wedding! It was so much fun and he made sure that the bridal party was taken care of! Right away he was on top of everything and very professional! Mike was one of the first vendors I booked for my wedding. He was the DJ for two friends' weddings and both gave him rave reviews including "he was the best money I spent on the entire wedding". Despite those ridiculously high expectations, he did not disappoint!! Mike and his assistant (Jackson? Sorry!) went above and beyond to make our day perfect. We had several conversations before the big day to make sure everything was what we envisioned and Mike even had some great suggestions for song choices or games to play with our guests. Everyone had a blast and the dance floor was never empty, even with our small-ish wedding. Speaking of above and beyond, he made sure we always a drink in hand, and when the caterer screwed up and served the wrong entree (which I was allergic to) he sent Jackson to go get me jimmy johns without anyone even asking! While he is an amazing DJ, he is more than that for sure. Our day would have been completely different without him. Somehow he lived up to the ridiculously high expectations, and then some. Can't thank you enough!! Worth every last penny and then some!

This Dj service far exceeded my expectations. Mike personally cut and edited the song I danced to with my grandpa and did a spectacular job at the ceremony. He was very professional and truly cared that everything went perfect for our day. He called in and checked on us several times throughout the engagement just to see how everything was going. Connor did amazing at our reception as well! Very attentive to the guests and kept the dance floor going on all night! We were a little late to our reception and I was worried we wouldn't have time to do everything as far as dollar dance and garter toss etc without it feeling rushed but he was awesome in keeping the flow and fitting everything in! I highly recommend this company for your wedding dj.

Mike was the best! He was quick to respond and flexible at my wedding when the elevators went out. He even ran up 11 flights of stairs to bring me and my husband a drink and some snacks while we waited on the elevators to repair. Our reception unfortunately was cut short an hour due to the elevators, but Mike did a fabulous job MCing and keeping us on schedule. I wish my reception could have been longer so I could have danced to Mikes music more! I would highly recommend Mike to any future brides! He's the best!

What a great company! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Mike and his staff. We wanted a mix of country, old and new, as well as top 40 music. Chris kept everyone dancing and had a great mix of the music we wanted. He was so professional and even greeted guests as they walked in. Mike, the owner, stopped by our reception to see if we were doing alright after spending the day working another wedding. He got us a drink and made sure everything was running smoothly and how we wanted it. I have never been to a wedding that had as many people dancing, not only throughout, but also at the very end. Everyone was sad to see the night end. Chris is a great DJ and helped us celebrate our marriage in the best way. We would most definitely recommend MIC Kings to anyone looking for a DJ. They will be on our list for events in the future. Thank you so much to the entire staff, but especially to Chris and Mike! You made our day complete!

This vendor did a truly spectacular job of working with us through a rainy day, and even during the reception the DJ and the owner of the company both went above and beyond what I would expect of a DJ (even bringing us drinks and providing better service than the staff of the venue). The DJ was someone very in line with what I wanted from the event; he definitely understood the type of music we wanted, and he did a great job of announcing the different dances and drawing attention to toasts, etc.

Wow-Mic King did an exceptional job at our wedding & reception. His attention to detail and making sure we (Bride & Groom) were taken care of from getting us cocktails/ appetizers during our photo shoots to entertaining our guest while we were taking pics. He followed through with all of our requests (We made our own video/playlist for dinner) for our guests and even danced with us. Everything went so smoothly! Mike was great to work with and an amazing DJ PLUS party coordinator! Mike got my wife and I food and drinks as we were taking some photos after the ceremony, and even came around to the Head Table and Parents table to take drink requests/song requests during dinner. He was very easy to work with throughout the process and during the wedding was awesome at reading the room to make sure that the dance floor was always full. He had some wonderful suggestions for music/fun dance ideas that we really appreciated. I would seriously recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing DJ!!

This is the best DJ service for any occasion. I knew about them due to my cousin's wedding which impressed me. We just had them for our Prom and ALL the kids were impressed with the service!! Cody and I were fortunate to meet Mike and Darthy through the 5K Wedding Run. They were a pleasure to work with and truly went above and beyond to ensure the success of the event. We used MIC King Music for a fund raiser for Testicular Cancer. Mike and his wife went above and beyond what we expected of them! They were great at engaging the audience, quick to play requests and were very considerate of all of the guests. Several times Dorothy came to me asking if the music level was to high or to low, if the music selection was ok, or if I wanted to switch it up. I would HIGHLY recommend them for ANY occasion! Daniel T was the DJ for my wedding and he was AMAZING! I had people coming up to me asking me where I found this guy haha he did such a great job keeping everything running smoothly, keeping me updated, finding people when it was coming up on their time to use the mic (toasts, garder and bouquet toss, etc). I would recommend taking the time to meet with them face to face first to make sure they are who you would want to represent the music at your wedding. Great people to work with.

I gave my husband a surprise birthday party and I wish Mic ran all my previous parties and events prior to this. Mic was so helpful from the very beginning until the party was over.
The form they provide to fill out for your event is very detailed and helpful. Mic assisted with planning the flow of the party as well due to his experience. Best of all, Mic did an excellent job of keeping the atmosphere high energy due to his selection of music and by engaging everyone through dances and games. I will never go with another DJ going forward - PERIOD

It was awesome working with Chris and Mike! They made the night run so smoothly and were able to accommodate last minute changes. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to let the DJ run the show! With 400+ guests, we were a little nervous about making sure everyone had a good time, but we didn't even have to worry about that... the DJs were so attentive and the dance floor was never empty!!

We had Mike and Daniel as our DJs for our wedding!! The months and days leading up to our big day - they were so easy to get a hold of and answered all of our questions and really made us feel special!! We saw them at a previous wedding we attend and knew then we had to use them for our's and would do it again!! I also loved the special touches they added; not only were they the DJs and kept everyone dancing but they kept our drinks full, helped us with our food - just went above our expectations!!

Definitely recommend them!!! You won't regret it!!!

Danny and Chris did an amazing job at my wedding! Definitely went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly, checked on wedding party several times and did a great job overall! Very impressed!!

I had D.J. Mike and another guy can't remember his name they both went above and beyond on my day. From making sure we always had a drink in our hands to serving our plates to us to always checking in to make sure we were ok and if we needed everything not what you think you get with a D.J. service was highly impressed!! Would recommend this company to anyone looking for an awesome D.J.

Mike and Darthy were super nice and easy to work with from the moment I hired them. I was running super down to the wire in terms of deciding my song requests for the reception and ceremony in time, but they were very, very patient with me. On the day of, Mike went above and beyond anything I could have expected from a DJ service. He and Danny helped make sure the timeline to moved along smoothly and always made sure my husband and I were having a good time. He also recommended some actually fun reception games! MIC King Music 10/10 deserves all their positive reviews. :)

My husband and I really can't express our gratitude enough to MIC King Music. They were extremely responsive and catered to every request we made from day one of planning until the end of the event. We live in STL and did not have a chance to meet them before booking, but did so off of a referral anyways. Without hesitation I would recommend them for any event.

Mike had all ages dancing, kept the dance floor alive, and made sure that my husband, myself, and the bridal party were taken care of at all times; our drinks never went dry, we were offered seconds after dinner, all the while the music never skipped a beat.

Also, the pricing was completely reasonable. But you will want to leave a good tip after you see what you get for the money.

Mic King was AMAZING!!! We got so many amazing compliments on having him as our dj. He was so helpful, attentive and great at reading the crowd. Literally made our wedding feel exactly how we wanted. Highly recommend them for your wedding!!!

Mike and Darthy showed up on time, were set up and ready to go with our Trivia Night. We had a great time. They kept it exceptionally interesting and fun throughout the whole night. I would refer them to any of my friends looking for something different to do at a party, social event, networking venue, etc. Good times had by all.

I didn't really know what I wanted when I first talked to our DJ Jason. I was open to just about anything. I knew I had to pick a song for our first dance, a song for mother/son and father/daughter dances, as well as an entrance song. After that I said it was fair game. Jason did a great job of catering to the audience who ranged in ages of 4 months to 80 years old. We didn't plan out every step of the day and it went on without any problems with the help of Mic King's Owner and Wife as well as Jason. They didn't just play music they helped keep the pace of the night. Even when we didn't know quite how to leave they set up a circle of everyone who made it to the end of the night and ended with a big family hug. Great Night! Thanks for being a part of it!

Amazing service! They were truly great to work with and went above and beyond of what they had to do! They made our day so special and complete! We had so many comments on how great they were, playing all varieties of music so everyone could have a good time. We couldn't of have any better service than what they provided!

Mike was great! He went above and beyond his job!! Everyone kept saying what a great DJ he was and he was so helpful getting drinks and clearing plates for the wedding party!!!! The dance floor was packed all night!!!!

Better then I could have ever hoped for! Most amazing experience! Mike also helped with several other things throughout the night from helping us with our food to making sure our glasses were never empty. He had a blast with the guests and kept the reception running so smoothly. We did a glow stick sendoff and he even organized the line and passed out the glow sticks. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Thank You!!

Mike was absolutely amazing!!! I honestly cannot put into words how attentive, understanding, and great he was to work with! He helped mix all of my music for the ceremony and was right there for all of it. He was even waiting for my husband and I after some of our group pictures with an ice cold Boulevard! Talk about attentive!! He then helped me surprise my husband with Big Jay the KU mascot and kept me updated on how much longer for pictures and distracting Scott while Big Jay got inside and dressed. He played the best music all night and was super interactive with my husband and I and all of our guests. He interacted with all of our guests, played any song Scott and I requested, and made sure we were all dancing and having the time of our lives. Our wedding would not have been the same without Mike's help!! Thank you so much Mike for helping us make our wedding day so perfect. We have gotten nothing but compliments from all of our guests about you! You are the best! Our day wouldn't have been as amazing without you there to help us.
All couples...you would be crazy not to choose Mike as your DJ for your wedding. OR any event for that matter. Mike is the BEST!
