When I started planning our wedding, photographers were the first thing I looked into. We first spoke to one whose style we loved, but whose attitude we did not. Then I found Matt.
Matt is very professional, and very kind. He was great about addressing my concerns in our first phone call and we both loved his journalistic style.
The day of the wedding, he was prompt (even when we weren’t). I am generally shy about attention and don’t love having my photo taken, but Matt made me feel very comfortable. Even better, once the reception was in full swing, we never really noticed him, which means we have some amazing candid shots of us enjoying our day with our family and friends.
The quality of photos is just amazing! We both can’t stop looking at them and we want to print all of them. My husband’s family in Ireland has said that they feel as though they were there. Matt captured the entire spirit of the day and was a dream to work with.
If you want wedding photos that will be vibrant and truly capture the day, look no further than Matthew Garcia. We hope to work with him again in the future. -

Where do I even begin!! After looking anywhere and everywhere for a photographer we found Matt's information, we looked at his work from previous weddings and on his Instagram, and we knew that his style was just what we wanted for our day. Matt was absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with. He was very professional, polite and super fun. He made it easy to feel comfortable getting your photos taken. We would love to work with him again in the future. He captured so many amazing candid moments at our wedding. To say we were floored when we looked at them is an understatement. We cannot stop looking at them and I know we will cherish these forever. Matt's talent is beyond measure. If you are in the process of looking for a photographer, RUN do not walk, book MG Photography. -

Beautiful photos and easy to work with
Matt photographed our wedding in April 2023 and did an incredible job. He was easy to communicate with, friendly, and took beautiful photos. He made us feel very comfortable and gave good direction on photos. I would recommend him to anyone. -

Matt was phenomenal to work with - we are very laid back and wanted the process to be simple, and he delivered for us. He was very responsive every step of the way and didn't miss a beat on the day of. We had a power outage during the reception which could have easily thrown a wrench in the works, but Matt captured some great shots of us in the dark and even got the moment we cheered when it came back on. I also asked for some dreamy shots of just the two of us after the ceremony and the photos we got from this were stunning. To top it off, his pricing was extremely affordable. Thank you Matt! -

Matt did an absolutely incredible job with our wedding! We are so thrilled with how the photos came out. He has such an artistic eye and a style that is really unique compared to many wedding photographers. The warmth and life and color in his images drew us to him and we're so happy that ended up in the photos from our wedding. He really excels when it comes to quietly capturing candid moments. My husband didn't even realize Matt was there half the night and was surprised when he saw all the incredible photos of moments that he didn't even realize were being captured. He gave us over 500 beautifully edited photos! My husband and I didn't prioritize posed portraits and instead searched for a photographer that would beautifully document the experience and beauty of the evening. And we found exactly what we were looking for with Matt! -

Matthew is incredible. He did my bridal portraits and our wedding day photos. I chose him because his style appeared to retain so much color and richness. His work is so natural and picks up the beauty in the subjects vs. catering to what’s trending which I appreciate because who doesn’t want timeless wedding photos? As a bonus- he is so kind and very lovely to work with! I loved every single picture in my final galleries. He captured all the big moments, all the details and everything in between! I can’t wait to share and cherish all these wonderful images for years to come. Couldn’t have asked for a better photographer experience! -

Quality Elegant and Fun Photos!
We hired Matt for our small intimate brunch wedding back in 2020. When we had to cancel, it wasn't an issue we left things as is until further notice. Fast forward, we had our wedding in May 2022. Matt's images are *incredible* - there's a quality and a mood to them. I was so surprised he captured certain photos, I didn't even know he was around! 110 percent recommend! -

Matt photographed our wedding in October and the experience was incredible. He was very friendly and professional. He showed up to the venue on time and quickly spoke with us to see what kind of pictures and experience we want it. He executed everything perfectly and we ended up with the most beautiful pictures, more wonderful than we could’ve imagined. Matt made everyone comfortable and he took the most beautiful candid photos that captured every beautiful moment. Even for the post photos he knew that we were in experience with working on photographers and worked with us to make sure that we were comfortable and helped us express our love and affection for one another in some beautiful pictures. Choosing a photographer was definitely one of the biggest decisions that we had to make for a wedding. I have absolutely no regrets that we chose Matt. He delivered our beautiful photos extremely quickly, we had them within a few weeks. And looking at them was like reliving our wedding all over again. The moments he captured were so authentic and beautiful that we really don’t even need a video of our wedding. If you’re looking for an experienced professional and extremely talented photographer then I would definitely recommend working with Matt at MGTX photo. -

Matt was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. Our wedding photos came out better than expected! The vibrancy yet moody style is exactly what we wanted. He truly has an eye for capturing precious moments in such a unique and creative way.
He was also very understanding when we had to post pone our original wedding date to a further date. He definitely made it work for us.
All in all, we are so thrilled with how our wedding photos came out and will continue to refer others to Matt for all their photography needs!

I rarely write reviews but I know how much people rely on them and Matt earned this positive review.
My husband and I are so blessed and happy we got Matt as our photographer for our wedding. Everyone, including some of my very honest family members with high standards, were more than happy with how they turned out. His work is beautiful- he even captured beautiful pictures of my dad and I as two people who can't dance and are not physically affectionate.
Matt was professional, kind and calm throughout the whole process, which are very important qualities to have in a photographer when you're most likely stressed up to and on your wedding day. I was so worried that my small and asymmetrical Asian eyes would ruin the photos and I'm just not someone who is comfortable in front of the camera. But Matt was so calm and talented that they turned out to be non-issues.
He was even kind enough to meet up with my husband and I on a Friday night a month before our wedding to let me air our my concerns and ask all my questions.
I spent hours creating inspiration Pinterest boards and a list of all the "necessary" shots. But I found out it wasn't necessary because Matt has so many experience and knows what needs to be done to make you and your loved ones look good.
My advice is hire Matt and trust him so you can enjoy your wedding day and be absolutely happy with your photos. -

The minute we reviewed Matt's instagram, we knew he was the one. Matt has a keen eye for photography, artistic really. He creates BEAUTIFUL compositions with his camera, and has a knack for capturing movement and intimacy. seriously, go take a look! We had our wedding at Justine's Secret House in Austin. TX. The space is moody, vibey, very Parisian, very retro. It has its own aesthetic. We wanted to be sure we found a photographer that could capture that darker ambiance without compromise, and Matt exceeded those expectations, and we couldn't be more thankful for his work. Not only is his work incredible, his pricing is more than reasonable, he is communicative and responsive (we really enjoyed his easy-going, down-to-earth personality), and he was such a pro rolling with the punches of the day, and all the wedding changes we had because of COVID. Thanks, Matt! We are still flipping thru the photos, admiring your work, as I'm sure we will be for the years to come. -

We had the pleasure of working with Matt three times! Once for our engagement session in October, then for our intimate wedding ceremony in April, and lastly for our bigger celebration in July. Each and every time we worked with him was absolutely amazing, he truly does wonderful work and is very easy to work with! I have no idea how he was able to move so quickly to capture so many different angles at both of our wedding celebrations, but he DELIVERED! Even with us having to postpone our April “wedding” due to Covid Matt was very understanding and able to accommodate our change. Matt always arrived on time, and was very responsive anytime we had a question or concern! He has an easygoing personality, which is welcomed and necessary on a wedding day with all of the different things going on. Every time that we needed him there to capture a moment he was there! He also handled my family very well, one of my aunts who was the coordinator for both our wedding celebrations can be a bit much at times and she didn’t phase him one bit! We definitely recommend Matt anytime you need pictures taken, he is an absolute pleasure to work with!

Perfect Photos - Best experience!
We couldn’t be more happy with our wedding photos. Matt was wonderful at capturing all the real moments of our wedding. He did amazing using our venue as the perfect backdrop for every photo. Working with him was easy. He was incredibly flexible with all our requests and ideas. My husband and I are beyond thrilled with our experience with Matt. He took our engagement photos in January 2020 and also our wedding photos in May 2020. Our wedding turned out to be more of an elopement due to COVID-19, but we still had Matt there documenting our day. Matt was great!
Matt was an awesome photographer to work with. I found him here on wedding wire, looked at his vendor page, had him send me some more of his work, and hired him. I was a little nervous before we had our engagement session that it wouldn’t be what I expected, but Matt was great. He was quick, but not too quick. We got tons of great photos. He also did my bridal session and got some really awesome photos of me. We’re still waiting on our wedding photos, which he said I’ll have this week (only 3 weeks since the wedding). His turnaround time has been outstanding. Would highly recommend. -

Matthew was wonderful to work with. In addition to helping people feel relaxed in front of the camera, he has a wonderful eye for capturing unique shots. When I searched for a photographer, I was looking for someone that I thought would see beyond that typical wedding photos. It was nice to have someone that, while capturing all the traditional shots, he was able to do it in a way that didn't look like every other wedding photo. I loved the photos I got back! Perfect! -

Matt took time getting our pre bridal photos done, as well making sure if anyone our eyes were closed that we did the photo again. I personally thought that was professional & thoughtful of him. Matt captured the essence of our wedding!
Matt was suggested to us by close friends. I checked out his website and fell in love with the style and vivid colors of his photos. I sent Matt an e-mail one night and he responded the next morning. We set up a time to talk about the venue and colors. We had our wedding at a local venue, The Gardens At West Green, and had our ceremony and reception there. I gave a deposit, via Venmo, to hold my date and got the contract signed. I paid the remaining amount two weeks before the Wedding. Matt showed up to the venue early and captured set up. I explained I was nervous and wasn't sure what to expect since I'm not used to having all eyes on me! Lol Matt reassured me that was normal and to try and act like he isn't there. Matt was super flexible and so much fun! Everyone at the wedding loved him. Pricing was very reasonable and well worth his professionalism and quality of photos! Matt captured so many amazing moments; Anthony and I are having trouble choosing which ones to get prints of! Matt really captured the essence of our wedding! I can't say enough! Thanks again! -

We had Matt booked as our second photographer, but when our main photographer didn't show up on our wedding day, he stepped up and blew us away! Other than your partner, your photographer will be the main person who you will see ALL day on your wedding day, so you want to make sure they're not only a good photographer, but also a nice person and someone you want to be around! Matt did really well capturing all of the things we wanted, but also went above and beyond capturing sweet moments and candid images of all of the people we love and spent our special day with. We just had a small, casual church wedding with some friends and family and Matt's images convinced me even more that I had the prettiest and best wedding in the world. I would use him for everything if I lived in the area. Book him, you will not regret it. It was very hard to choose favorites to show you all, because there are so many! -

I can’t say enough great things about Matt! He was on time and extremely flexible with me. He knew where to be and when to be there. I was elated when I saw my wedding photos, because he captured every moment. It’s like I was able to relive the entire day through his photos, not just of mine and my husbands but even all of our guests. Our portraits turned out amazing, and he made us feel so comfortable. Any pose, he was up for and he gave great direction as well. Any moment of the wedding you’re hoping to remember he got the perfect glimpse through his lens He fit seamlessly into our wedding, he won’t disappoint! -
Mrs. Sent on 03/10/2018I scouted for the perfect photographer to capture my little family. It was hard to find someone who could deal with 2 Great Danes and a Rat Terrier. We met up with Matt downtown San Antonio on an early Sunday morning. Within minutes all my dogs were super comfortable with him and he put the camera down and got to know them. When it was time for the photo session, my pups were ready! He was able to capture some beautiful pictures that have become timeless! I highly recommend Matthew Garcia for your net event or photo session.

We had some basic ideas of the kinds of photos we wanted and the locations to take them. Matt took great photos of what we asked for, and also made great recommendations of other places and kinds of photos along the way. My favorite photos wound up being ones that he suggested. We loved how all the photos turned out! Highly recommend Matt for wedding photography.

Matt did an excellent job with our wedding. We first selected Matt for our engagement photos and were incredibly impressed with his work; the photo service we selected had several photographers available, and several seemed competent, but Matt’s photos showed an additional level of knowledge for ideal photo angles, lighting, editing, etc.
For our wedding, we were forced to go from plan A to plan B due to the pandemic, but Matt was very accommodating and responsive both through text and email, and he was very personable and easy to talk to. Before our reception, we let him take the lead and take us to photogenic spots, which led to some very memorable photos. Our day was perfect and Matt’s photos show that.
