The Perfect Wedding Venue!

We recently had our wedding at the Mercury Cafe, and it was an incredible experience. The staff was amazing all night, ensuring every detail was perfect and our guests were well taken care of. The venue looked stunning, creating a beautiful and romantic atmosphere. The food was amazing! Gio was flexible with the menu and let us do a tasting beforehand. We received a ton of compliments by the guests on how good the food was. Alex was instrumental in making everything run smoothly, setting up a schedule for meetings and coordinating all the details flawlessly. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or team for our special day. Highly recommend the Mercury Cafe for any event!

Make your life less stressful and your wedding a dream!

Easily the best decision we made (aside from choosing one another) was having our wedding at Mercury Cafe. Marilyn (current owner) is so calm, so kind, and so knowledgeable. She helped every step of the way, answered all our questions and phone calls, and was with us all night to ensure it ran smoothly. And talk about a beautiful, magical, special place to be wed and then to party! The space is so beautiful we brought in almost no decor of our own. Our guests were so impressed with the gorgeous space and the delicious food.

Can't say enough good things

The Mercury Cafe and Marilyn were incredible to work with. We had to postpone our original wedding date due to the pandemic and they were incredibly accommodating. The food was incredible, the waitstaff and bartender were outstanding, polite, and professional, and the venue looked beautiful. My guests all loved how unique it was and my husband and I loved that we could have a wedding that felt like us, not like every other wedding you see on Pinterest.

Perfect venue!

Mercury was a phenomenal venue. Marilyn was helpful and able to customize our day exactly as we had hoped! Our guests loved the funky and fun vibe of the venue and we were able to curate a day filled with dancing, laughter, and joy. Highly recommend!

A Magical Venue!

I can’t say enough about how awesome our experience was at The Mercury Cafe. We got married in the ballroom and it looked beautiful! Marilyn helped us every step of the way and helped us throw an awesome and very affordable wedding of our dreams. She did it all - catering, flowers, set up and take down, and helped us set up an awesome swing dance lesson during our cocktail hour. She was super responsive and really went above and beyond in helping us plan the day out and making sure everything was on schedule. Our night was just perfect!

Beautiful and fun reception

We had our June 2019 Reception in the ballroom at the Mercury Cafe. The party was wonderful - our guests raved about the bartender, the staff, and the food (we had the fish taco bar - highly recommend and great for all food restrictions). The staff was particularly attentive to our older relatives.

The space was amazing - you don't really need a florist at all, they will cover all of the tables with flowers and they even put flowers on our cake (which was home-baked and which they let us bring in).

And they did everything we asked, we definitely didn't need a day of coordinator (which we didn't have).

It was much more affordable than most places we looked but it didn't feel budget at all - it felt magical and lavish and fun.

Also, every single piece of advice Marilyn gave us turned out to be accurate. She had done a lot of weddings and it shows.

2 notes for couples planning to use the space:
1. The Mercury only takes cash or checks and we didn't remember that we'd need to bring a check with us on the night of the reception to pay the final balance. This ended up being ok, we were able to drop one off the next day since we weren't leaving town.

2. If you're not doing a day-of coordinator (which we didn't), remember to provide instructions on any announcements you want made by the staff. We didn't really plan out the last part of the program - we knew we wanted to do dessert and then the first dance but we didn't actually set anyone up to announce it. It ended up being totally fine and I'm not sure anyone except us noticed but I wish I'd asked the Mercury staff to announce dessert and the beginning of the dancing. The staff were great as soon as we asked them to do anything so this is really more of a note for myself or future couples planning. :-)

Perfect reception at the Mercury.

We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Mercury Cafe and with Marilyn. She was an amazing, cool, calm and collected presence throughout our wedding planning experience, and you can tell that she truly loves doing weddings at the Merc. Our guests raved about the completely custom and delicious Filipino and Korean menu, and Marilyn was great about having us bring in a lot of personal touches to make the space feel like us. The ballroom was totally and completely magical on the night of our reception - it felt like such a special place, and it was absolutely the perfect venue for our night. We wanted to have a memorable and fun reception with great food and a great dance floor, and the Mercury Cafe and Marilyn more than delivered on all fronts. It was also incredibly affordable! If you’re thinking about having your wedding reception at the Mercury Cafe - do it. It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.

The Mercury cafe was perfect for my wedding! The lights and atmosphere were everything I could of ever wished for. I loved every minute of it and it was so much fun! William and the Romantics were amazing! Thank you so much for having us! I would definitely do it again!

The Mercury Café provided us with the wedding of our dreams! This is hands down the best place in Denver to celebrate a day of Love with all of your friends and family. Originally we were planning on having a "small" wedding when we picked this venue. Marilyn was amazing to work with . As our guest list got bigger and I began to panic , she assured me that the venue would be beautiful filled with anywhere from 60-300 people. She was right! We ended up with about 160 people and it was perfect. The menu was delicious, the venue is romantic and working with Marilyn throughout the wedding planning brought me back to center. I could not recommend this venue enough to anyone in Denver looking for a unique and beautiful space to throw a party.

We have been a patron of the restaurant for a few years, coming for events and meals. Because of their welcoming area, and fantastic food along with their values as a company we decided to book our wedding here.

The wedding was magical, the staff was patient with our guest list changes, and they made sure everyone was comfortable and happy! Marilyn (the owner) was amazing for her wisdom and patience as we organized everyone on the day of. We couldn't imagine a better day.

Mercury Cafe was awesome especially for our really personalized ceremony and reception. Marilyn and staff were extremely flexible and accommodating. Marilyn was a very calm presence and acted as a sort of wedding planner when we didn't know what we were doing at all. We had several guests tell us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. The prices were extremely reasonable.

We had an amazing experience with the Mercury Cafe! We saw this venue when doing a basic Google search for brunch wedding venues in Denver, and this was the top pick. I met with Marilyn to go over details, and I gave her the deposit same day - it was the perfect pick. Marilyn was amazing at helping us figure out what we wanted and needed for our wedding reception and the end result was an incredibly beautiful wedding reception. Marilyn helped us order flowers wholesale, worked with us to create our perfect brunch wedding menu, and she made everything easy and stress free! I can't say enough good things about this place, other than it was a great experience, and I wouldn't have changed a single thing about our experience.

When my fiancée and I woke up in February of 2017 and said "Let's get married this June!", no one thought we could do it. When I called the Mercury Cafe and told them about my very modest budget and time constraint, the manager Marilyn responded with "Let's do it!" From picking my custom menu for our sit down dinner, to having custom toast beverages they were so accommodating to every silly thing I wanted. The Jungle Room was the most perfect atmosphere for our day! The staff. I can't say enough! They doted on my husband and I like we were royalty and our guests loved them! The food was just incredible and our cake was exactly what I had dreamed up in my head. Absolutely lovely from start to finish! Marilyn is every brides dream come true. Never worried, never frazzled, always confident the day will be great! I must have called her every day for a week and she was always so comforting. Best. Day. Ever. Thank you so much Mercury Cafe!!

Our wedding was half concert/half dance party and there is no where else in this city that could have accommodated us as well as The Mercury Cafe!! Marilyn was so easy to work with and she was able to meet all of our very specific needs including working with family who insisted on decorating the day of (thanks mom!), providing a sound guy to run the ceremony and music, working with us on special food requests, etc, etc. We brought in a few decorations but the space is stunning and already set up with great lighting and lots of beautiful colors. Food was great including gluten free and nut free options. The staff was super friendly and professional the whole night. We got beautiful and unique wedding photos outside the cafe and around the neighborhood, and the lighting inside is great for shots of drunk uncles dancing the night away. We looked at a lot of venues and this was by far the best value for a beautiful space, great food and drinks, and good service.

Marilyn is very experienced with weddings. She helped us nail down all the details and made it easy and fun to create a super special night. The wedding went off without a hitch and the feedback from out guests was very positive. Obviously, we can't say enough good things about this venue. It's especially great for a unique, creative wedding.

The Mercury was an amazing venue for our St Patrick’s Day wedding. Marilyn is easy to work with, and knows what she is doing. I was able to just provide some basic input, and she was able to have everything exactly the way we wanted. I really appreciated that I was able to drop off decorations and cakes in the morning, and when I saw it set up (as I walked down the aisle!) everything was exactly as I had imagined it. The staff was attentive and professional both when I was dropping off in the morning during the event. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and I didn’t even have to do anything to enhance the beauty. The food was very tasty, and a good price. I got so many compliments on the food and the ambiance. I think my wedding made some new customers for the Mercury! Everything went so smoothly, and was absolutely beautiful, so I would recommend the Mercury for anyone’s wedding!

Looking for a laid back venue in the heart of Denver with no judgment or restraint on your special day, this is your place. Working with Marilyn and her staff was amazing. We searched for months to find a venue that suited our off beat Dias de los Muertos theme wedding full of wild ideas & expectations. Our wedding ceremony and reception was all held there on October 28, 2016 in there beautiful upstairs ball room with twinkle lights already strung, included ;) . It was better than I ever could have dreamt. We had a Colorado proud menu locally sourced taco bar with bison and chicken it was sooooo good. The venue was already decorated for Halloween which cut my decoration costs in half and Marilyn was a wonderful resource every step of the way. She has been doing events a long time and does so with grace and ease, taking so much pressure off the bride and groom. People are still talking about how unique and fun the wedding was. They rent the linens, provides flowers/ candles on tables, and a wonderful staff to work it. I love this place and could not be happier with our magical experience! I would recommend this venue to any one who is tired of the run around other a lot of the venues provide.

My husband and I were married at The Mercury Cafe on Saturday, June 25, 2016 and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding and reception! Marilyn and her staff are exceptional human beings and helped us make our wedding simply magical. We had a large wedding with approximately 125 guests and there was more than enough room for everyone. We used the stage for the family band and we have gotten nothing but positive reviews by all of our family and guests. People are still talking about how much fun they had at the wedding saying "this was the best wedding I've ever been to!" We are very grateful to have chosen The Mercury Cafe as our wedding site. The Mercury Cafe was the absolute perfect venue for us.

Marilyn is an indispensable resource. She provided tons of guidance and advice without a single ounce of judgement when we said we weren't into some more traditional elements or even some of the things she suggested; she created a really open relationship to ensure we got the exact wedding we wanted. We told her our budget and she helped us work within our means to get what we wanted without ever pressuring us to spend more than we said we had, and reassuring us that our guests would not miss the things we could not afford or didn't want to include. She helped us craft a celebration that perfectly reflected our relationship and our values. Honestly, I feel a little emotional reflecting on the warmth and support we felt at every step of the way in our planning process with the Merc.

Marilyn and her staff at the Mercury Cafe took care of all the details, setting up our ceremony and centerpieces exactly how we wanted them, providing to-go boxes for our extra dessert, and even bringing my grandma a special plate at dinner when she couldn't differentiate between the spicy and mild sausage on the shared plate (our meal was family-style, a special request that they had no issue accommodating).

Bonus: the space itself is quirky and gorgeous...the hardwood floors, eclectic decor, and thousands of twinkle lights are magical and romantic.

I cannot speak highly enough of this venue.

There is magic at the Mercury Cafe. You feel it the moment you walk in, from the friendly faces of the staff members, and of course, Marilyn. From our very first meeting she put us at ease. She helped us to make logistical decisions, offered linen options, and she even offered to make the cake in house, which we agreed to. We collaborated on the menu together and WOW, I knew the food there was amazing but that night the food and the cake was just so special in a way I cannot put into words. I truly feel it was all made with love and blessings. She let us use the upstairs ballroom which is just gorgeous, talk about ambiance. We brought our own DJ who used the sound system already in place which is really great. I just cannot say enough about Marilyn's generosity. We planned an outdoor park wedding and she even offered to let us get married in the ballroom in the case of inclement weather for free. You cannot go anywhere else in Denver and have this quality of an experience and quality of food for the price. She is just an amazing person and really wants to work with you to make your day/evening special.

Our wedding was absolutely wonderful, magical and perfect. This venue really captured who we are as a couple and Marilyn and her staff were very in tune with our vision. My Wedding Day was simply magical and Marilyn at Mercury Cafe made it happen! We had a large wedding (over 200 people) and a small budget. Marilyn made it work, giving us lots of ideas and suggestions to make it perfect without breaking the bank. The brunch food we had was AMAZING! Everyone raved about the local, organic breakfast meats and egg quiche. They also made our cake, which was delicious and beautiful. Seating, parking, linens...all those little things that can add stress to your planning, all done by The Mercury and their wonderful staff. We had about 50 kids running around and everyone was still so kind and patient with the ruckus. I can't say enough about our experience with this fun, funky, eclectic venue. If your looking for a venue with pizazz minus the pretension, this place is for you. Thank you so much Mercury for an EPIC, UNFORGETTABLE day ❤️

Our guests are still talking about how awesome our wedding was - months after it! Don't waste your time looking at other venues. The Mercury Cafe is a magical place for your wedding. Marilyn and her staff are responsive, easy to work with and really help take the stress out of planning.

All loved the locally sourced food, beer and wine! We provided 2-3 rounds of drink tickets, then cash (only) bar. This worked great for everyone. The ballroom space is beautiful. Marilyn has decorations and lights up year round, which can help you focus on key decorations instead of filling a blank canvas.

Marilyn’s experience hosting weddings made her a great resource. Her suggestions made ours even better. We wanted an unconventional, unique ceremony, on Halloween with some odd requests like our guests seated in a circle. At no point was Marilyn put off by our wants. She was our champion from the beginning, excited to be part of our special day and so accommodating of our desires. I can’t imagine a more perfect space, filled with love and fun for such a wonderful day.

Bottom line...this is an amazing place to have an event. From the very beginning of the planning for our marriage celebration Marilyn and her team were extremely helpful. She gave so much great advice to start and was very accommodating.

The space is amazing! The beautiful lights and decor really set this place apart. Our guests could not get over how wonderful everything looked.

She did all my centerpieces for me as well as set the tables up exactly how I described. She helped us figure out the budget and really went out of her way to get us what we wanted.

The wedding was wonderful. The food was so good people are still talking about it! The venue is perfect if you want a small wedding with everything is one place or an amazing reception right in the heart of Denver! The value is unsurpassed! The cost is low for what you get and I could not have been happier!

We had a wedding reception (100 people) at the Mercury Cafe's upstairs venue and it could not have gone better! Throughout the process, Marilyn (the owner) was calm and accessible, two things my Type A personality certainly appreciated! She also had some excellent ideas that I didn't think of; but she did not push them, merely presented them. The price was extremely reasonable, and included appetizers, dinner, wedding cake, and champagne toast. (There were other options available that we didn't choose).
The food was great- organic and local- and even my father (a "meat and potatoes" man from Maine) liked it. My husband is gluten free, so part of the wedding cake was gluten free, and I was happy with it.
The most important part to me was that I didn't have to stress about things like flowers and decorations. Marilyn made it happen.

I wanted to elope so that I wouldn't have to deal with planning, but Marilyn took care of everything for us. She asked a few questions and came up with a meal, a few more questions and came up with a cake and decorations. She arranged for live musicians. She stuck to our budget and factored in alcohol and table napkins. We probably spent a couple of hours talking to her and walking through the upstairs area. Day of reception- she was there to greet guests and made sure everything ran flawlessly. I couldn't be more happy with the entire experience. You get the best quality food, super cool environment, and a wedding planner all built into an incredibly affordable price.

Our July wedding reception at the Mercury Cafe was everything that we hoped it would be. It was intimate, elegant, and fun. We used the ballroom, which thankfully already comes decorated with lights, art work, and roses on the tables.
During the planning process, Marilyn was easy to work with, wonderfully supportive, and respectful of our needs. She kept us within our budget to create the perfect menu.
We had a brunch reception with a variety of quiches as well as a chicken dish with ham and a white sauce. The food was delicious, and everyone commented on how good it was. They also made a special cake for us, a Sidecar Cake, from a recipe that we loved. It was perfectly delicious and beautiful.
Our DJ had no issues hooking up to the sound system, and we danced for hours! We had many children in attendance, and Marilyn thoughtfully put out a bunch of stuffed rabbits on the stage to help entertain them. We were all laughing we punted more than one flying rabbit from the dance floor.
The bartender and staff were wonderful and professional. And they didn't mind us sticking around after our guests cleared out to slow dance and take in the quiet of the moment.
Marilyn thoughtfully invited us and our parents to the dance lessons that evening, and I so wish we had been able to take her up on them!
It was a magical experience and I'd recommend the Mercury Cafe to anyone who would like a quality experience, regardless of budget limitations.
We will surely celebrate our anniversaries to come with a drink at the bar or yummy brunch.

The Mercury Cafe was a wonderful place to get married. The owner, Marilyn, provided expert guidance and a beautiful atmosphere for our special day. We don't know what we would have done without her! The food was delightful and everyone had a blast. The costs were amazing considering the atmosphere, the food and the help with planning. If you're getting married in Denver, do yourself a favor and get married here.

Our wedding truly felt magical, and I find myself still smiling as I reflect back on our special day. The ballroom was beautifully decorated with a soft and simple feel that provided a nice blend with the funky feel of the Mercury. The tables were filled with vases of tulips, and bouquets were also put out on the entrance table. The chairs, stage and sound system were all in order for both our musicians, and the band. (The band commented on how easy and knowledgeable the sound tech was to work with.) It was so nice to arrive, and have the space ready to go. We had originally envisioned having an outdoor ceremony, but in the end it was so much easier (and cheaper!) to have everything in the same location. The food....oh, the food...we are foodies and this meal was incredible. We chose the fruit/cheese platter for an appetizer, and mojitos that were generous with both mint and alcohol. The buffet was well presented with elk, potato's, salad/bread, roasted asparagus/broccoli, and polenta with an options for olive or pesto tapenades. Our guests were raving, and it was later shared by family that many people returned for 2nd and 3rd helpings. There was plenty of food! Our cake was breathtaking -- chocolate, cream and berries. Their baker is truly gifted. There was plenty of room for dancing. At the end of the evening, the staff cleaned up everything and we wrote a check. So simple. Marilyn was very easy to work with, and carried both honesty and integrity as our wedding host. Our wedding was very affordable. In the weeks proceeding, we heard countless guests (from ages 5 to 75) share that this was one of the most special and most fun weddings they have ever attended. I believe this was co-created with the love and intention that has been built over the years with the café. People could "feel" that this was someplace special. Thank you!

My husband and I cannot say enough about Marilyn and her team at the Mercury Cafe. From start to finish, Marilyn made the wedding planning process easy and fun. There were 3 outstanding factors that made our choice easy: Marilyn, the food, and the physical space.

We stumbled upon the Merc as we were looking for venues and were immediately impressed with the lived values of the restaurant: the food is organic, locally sourced (& delicious), the restaurant is wind & solar powered, & it's a community hub (tons of classes & events).

As soon as we met Marilyn, we were sold - she is amazingly warm, kind, thoughtful, & generous with her time & talent. She worked with us from start to finish to make sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. We worked together to create the menu (we did a slider bar and our favorite side dishes like gluten-free mac & cheese, sweet potato fries, etc. - everything was so delicious!).

Marilyn was open to meet with us whenever we needed (plus, it was a good excuse for us to dine at the Merc) & was always accessible to answer questions. We did not have a wedding coordinator (nor did we know what we were doing), & Marilyn, having done many weddings, helped guide us through the process. Marilyn was incredibly flexible & creative, which is evident in the physical space she has created at the Cafe.

Upon entering the Merc, you are transported to a whimsical, vibrant space. The upstairs space is already glowing with strung lights, garland, & murals all along the walls. The space was large enough for us to do our ceremony and reception (we had about 150 guests), with just a little turn over time. There is a bar, sound booth, and restrooms upstairs. The staff was incredibly helpful with setting up the space and working with our friends & vendors.

The Mercury Cafe was the perfect place for our wedding. The venue is unique and beautiful, the food is great, and they are so accommodating and willing to work with a budget. They made everything so easy on us, from the menu to the flowers and decorations, and even made our cake! (Which was delicious.) We had an amazing experience here and I wouldn't change anything about our big day!

I have loved the Mercury Cafe for years and was so excited when I realized that they hosted wedding ceremonies and receptions. My husband and I had looked at few other venues around Denver before the Mercury and as soon as we took a look at the ballroom upstairs, we knew it was the place!
Marilyn was so flexible and helpful about what we could do with the space and the price was great as well. If you have the Mercury cater your reception, there is no booking cost of the space, (which is awesome because their food is amazing). We had our florist (Lale Floral - look into it) deck out the ballroom and we had a string quartet play during the beginning of the ceremony, as well as during cocktail hour.
I could write about our wedding for pages because it was beautiful and unique and the Mercury Cafe was the perfect venue for us. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a laid back, flexible, artistic, magical place for their wedding. We had so many of our friends and tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been too! Heart. Smiley Face.

My husband and I fell in love with the Merc. It was the first venue we looked at and didn't need to look further. Marilyn was incredible to work with. So kind and helpful and patient! She went above and beyond for us. She was extremely professional without pressuring as if she was running a business, but instead, made us feel like guests in her home. Her staff was top notch. Their service and attitudes were incredible. We felt like we were having a wedding at one of our families homes. The food was delicious! Everything went so smoothly we could not have been blessed more by this incredible place. At top it all off the leftover food was donated! Please have your wedding here!!

Our wedding experience at the Mercury Café was outstanding. We loved the fact were able to hold our ceremony, reception meal, and dance in their gorgeous and eclectic ballroom. We considered other venues before we found out that the Mercury was a popular wedding venue. I’d been to dance events in their ballroom, and immediately I knew that it was the perfect venue for our wedding.

Once we met with Marilyn we began to discover what a truly great venue choice we had made. Marilyn and her staff would take care of so many responsibilities that usually fall on either expensive wedding planners or stressed-out brides. The room was already vibrantly decorated and they would set-up our pretty substantial center pieces. She invited us to do a tasting of the Mercury’s excellent food, and we fulfilled a dream of my wife’s by having a “breakfast for dinner” worthy of a wedding reception. Our guests raved about the food—especially the bacon. Our wedding photographs are so vibrant and fun, and everyone had a blast at the dance. At every turn, the Mercury exceeded our expectations, helped us stay under budget, and made it possible to have the wedding we had envisioned.

Marilyn loves hosting weddings at the Mercury, and it really shows. She is so knowledgeable and so well-connected that we were able to plan the wedding on our own without worry. Every time we needed anything—flowers, a DJ, musicians—she had a perfect connection for us. Every one she suggested provided us with an excellent service and was still very affordable. The Mercury is a center for so many artistic communities in the Denver area, and I can’t imagine any other venue being able to connect us with this amazing group of vendors and performers.

Our wedding was unique, memorable, and beautiful. Marilyn and the Mercury are among Denver’s greatest treasures, and we are so grateful we chose this spectacular ballroom as our venue.

My wife and I decided to have our reception at the Mercury Cafe for many reasons. We are big supporters of local businesses, especially when it comes to tasty organic food. After serious discussion, and I mean serious, because I don't mess around with food, we decided to have a Thanksgiving style dinner, with an eggplant parmigiana for the veggie option. WOW was it good. Then there was the cake...Marilyn made us an organic chocolate cake with real raspberry filling and chocolate frosting. It was decorated with red roses and gold ribbons. This is my favorite type of cake, and this was by far the best version of it I've EVER had. EVER.

Now on to the actual party: The Dance Hall is already decorated with gorgeous lights and deep red colors, so we didn't have to worry about that! Marilyn also took care of all of the other small details so we wouldn't have to worry, such as the tablecloths, napkins, etc. It was a package deal so we didn't have to waste any money on a fru-fru wedding planner that I would get annoyed hearing babble for hours about which shade of napkin would match my bow tie. We had our favorite band play, the sound was great, because Marilyn had her sound guy help out. She hosted the evenings events very well. In all, I would highly recommend having your wedding and or reception at the Mercury Cafe. It was the best night of my life!

The upstairs space at the Mercury was the perfect venue for my wedding! The flexibility to decorate our own space, select from an incredible organic menu (or anything off menu), and have the ceremony and reception in the same unique space was a wonderful experience overall. I would recommend Marilyn and her team to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind wedding environment. She is an incredible person to plan your big day with, and is willing to have her incredible bake the cake too

Our experience with the Mercury Cafe was excellent. Marilyn's vast experience in helping couples plan their weddings was evident as we planned ours. The process was easy and stress-free, with a unique custom menu and tasty gluten-free desserts. Given that the Mercury is also an established music venue, Marilyn suggested a number of musicians that would compliment our tastes. The band we selected, Gora Gora Orkestar, were excellent and still remain good friends of ours. All in all, the Mercury was a beautiful place to have a ceremony with great photo settings, a fantastic restaurant/caterer with excellent staff, and a top-notch music venue for a fun reception. I would recommend the Mercury to anyone who is planning their wedding.

I didn't think I would want to have our wedding ceremony indoors, but my husband and I felt there was something truly magical about the Mercury Cafe.

Everything about the space was perfect, and it was a dream to have Marilyn (the owner) to help us. We didn't hire a wedding planner, but with her we didn't need one. She thought of everything and really took care of us!

The food is amazing, the place is beautiful, Marilyn and the staff were great--even though they hold weddings there often, I felt like ours was special and unique. Our friends and family loved it, and we will be recommending the Mercury Cafe to everyone we meet.

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and it was all due to Marilyn and the Mercury staff. We were overjoyed and it was the most beautiful day beyond all of our expectations. Marilyn worked with us closely and created a wonderful and loving atmosphere. We still have people tell us that ours was the best wedding they had ever attended.

My husband and I loved having our wedding at the Mercury Cafe. All our guests really enjoyed the unique feel of the ballroom, and it made a great setting for all of our photos. Marilyn and her staff were great to work with and helped make the whole event worry free. The prices are very reasonable as there is no room charge when you have the Mercury cater the food. We got married and had our reception here, and it was nice that our guests didn't have to drive anywhere. There is some outdoor space and a lot of great photo opportunities, our photographer had a great time too. Our friends and family still tell us it was one of the most fun weddings they have ever been to!!

We have been going to the Mercury Café for well over a decade, and during our first year together we decided that the Mercury would be a great place to have a wedding ceremony. Move forward 11 years and were engaged and planning our wedding. We knew the Mercury Café was the place for us. We wanted something different than the typical wedding/reception, something memorable and magical. From our initial conversations with Marilyn to the end of our wedding night, everything was professional, magical, sweet, and very easy. The Mercury is a very magical space, but to have our wedding there ~ the most intimate of celebrations, was our honor. The guests were amazed and awed by the space, the décor, the band, and still they rave about the food. (The band was hired after we saw them at the Mercury during Brunch a few months prior.) Marilyn worked out the menu we requested, as requested, and she made two beautiful cakes, one gluten free carrot cake, the other traditional German chocolate. Not only were they beautiful, they were delicious. We recommend her with utmost confidence that she will deliver as promised, and her staff will treat every guest respectfully and professionally. Mercury Cafe was our first and natural choice for our reception site since it is where my wife and I had our first date. It is always decorated, has a warm atmosphere and is always filled with friendly and interesting individuals.
Marilyn was wonderful to work with, though occasionally a little hard to reach. She was very helpful and let us really customize the reception to just how we wanted it.
We were able to sample all their food and pick our favorites to have for the reception dinner, and it was delicious! The wait-staff were fun and attentive.
The price cannot be beat, since we only had to pay for the catering. We had several options for the guest bar and were able to have a signature drink and free drink coupons.
Because of all the hard work of Marilyn and the rest of the Mercury Cafe staff, our reception was fun, intimate and truly unique!

The Mercury was a great venue for our 120 guests. It is a gorgeous, large, yet intimate-feeling space which accommodated all our guests comfortably for both the ceremony and the reception. It has great history in the neighborhood, and that felt important to us, too. The space was a little on the warm side in the August heat, but it cooled down nicely after the sun set. Marilyn was fantastic the whole time, and accommodated all our requests and changes, including making family recipes. In the hectic-ness of everything one of our dishes didn't end up getting made, but we had asked for another one, and they all came out great! Even at the rehearsal, when Marilyn could probably see me starting to worry about how much time we were taking she came over, gave me a little squeeze and said "You're fine!" which absolutely reassured me. And although there was a music festival happening across the street, she managed to get them to stop playing for the time we were doing our ceremony. This lady is a badass. Her demeanor is a HUGE comfort on the day. The cake turned out perfect, and her staff was awesome throughout the entire process and the event. They set everything up, meaning I didn't have anything to worry about on the day (they did it just the way I had wanted). There was a random wedding crasher late into the night, so consider having someone posted on security detail for the evening if you can, but that wasn't anyone's fault. Highly recommend.

My husband and I are so overjoyed that we chose the Mercury Cafe for our wedding! From start to finish, Marilyn handled everything for us at no extra cost. The best parts of having our wedding at the Merc were that we could choose any food that we wanted, it was all organic and/or local, and we could have a band! For dinner, we picked buffalo and chicken with an amazing homemade barbecue sauce, mac and cheese (AMAZING), roasted potatoes, salad, and some fantastic appetizers. Marilyn will help you pick any type of cuisine or special dietary meal that you can possibly imagine. A cool thing that they did is to leave the food out with smaller plates for snacking. Many venues will not do this. They also cut our cake for no extra charge even though we brought it in from another bakery. We also loved that they didn't have a strict time to kick us out. We partied until the party started to fizzle on its own. The Mercury Cafe staff set up all of my flowers and center pieces the day of the wedding and were so flexible with our every need. This venue is not only super cool with a great staff, it's also a fabulous value if you're on a budget. If you want a cookie cutter wedding, this might not be the best choice for you, but if you want you want full control of your unique event without being nickeled and dimed, this is the perfect venue. I'm so glad we made this choice!!
