From the very first tour to the final moments of our wedding day, our experience with Mercantile Hall was absolutely exceptional. The entire team made the process smooth, thoughtful, and stress-free.
Special shoutout to our wedding coordinator Beth, who was kind, detail-oriented, and an amazing communicator throughout the planning process. Nicole and Nikki also supported us along the way, and we’re so grateful to all three of them. The venue and bar staff on the day of the wedding were incredible, attentive, professional, and made sure everyone had a great time.
The vendors they recommended were top-notch, fairly priced, easy to work with, and aligned with our vision. We also loved that the venue has its own wedding dress boutique upstairs, I actually got my dress there, and it was a perfect experience.
Guests raved about how beautiful the space is. You can go all out with decor, but honestly, even with a more minimalist design (as we chose), the space looks stunning on its own.
We also appreciated how convenient everything was, from the coffee shop, bar, and restaurant nearby, to the Airbnbs right next door (we used both for getting ready!), and the hotel within walking distance (especially useful if you book the coordination package to secure room blocks).
And whenever we had questions or concerns, the Mercantile team was always quick to clarify and help. They really listen, and that made a huge difference.
We 100% recommend Mercantile Hall to any couple looking for a beautiful, well-run venue with a fantastic team. It truly made our big day magical. -

I can't thank Mercantile enough for everything they did for us. Our wedding was perfect thanks to them. Beth and Chris, our coordinator and end of the night staff were AMAZING! And DJ Terry? Phenomenal! Our friends couldn't stop talking about how awesome he was! It was the most beautiful night. -

We had our Halloween wedding here, and it was truly the most magical, seamless, and unforgettable day! From the moment we booked, the team made us feel so supported and excited — and Beth, our planner, was absolutely incredible. She helped execute every detail of our vision perfectly and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. She coordinated with all our vendors, kept everything on schedule, and was such a calm and joyful presence throughout the day.
We had an outdoor ceremony that couldn’t have been more beautiful — we received so many compliments on how stunning the location was! We did the highest bar package, which included a welcome drink and two signature cocktails, and added the apple cider upgrade — such a perfect touch for a fall wedding. The drinks were a huge hit with our guests, and they even created a special cocktail just for me as the bride, which was such a thoughtful surprise.
Our guests are still raving about the atmosphere, the setting, and how personalized everything felt. We couldn’t have imagined a better experience. If you’re looking for a venue that brings your vision to life and makes your day effortless and extraordinary, this is the place! -

We cannot thank the team at Mercantile Hall enough for helping create our dream wedding! Everything was just absolutely perfect, from the team, coordinators, location, beautiful scenery, and amazing vendors we worked with. I even got my dress at the store inside the venue! We had only seen the venue through a virtual tour, but we are so glad we trusted our instincts in choosing Merc. Our coordinator Beth is the absolute best and was there to answer all our questions. They are connected to so many amazing vendors, which makes the planning process so much easier. Their DJ services are also amazing, and we are so lucky to have had such a fun DJ, getting people out on the dance floor and singing along with us.
Overall we are so grateful to have had our wedding here and cannot say enough great things about this venue! -

The dream venue
Mercantile Hall was such an amazing venue for our wedding this past weekend. From the gorgeous event space, to all the accommodations, photobooth, DJ, amazing drinks and bartenders. It was such an amazing day and a huge part of that was my venue coordinator Nicole! Nicole was such an amazing help & made me feel so comfortable and normal in wedding chaos! She was such a big reason my day went so smoothly and I couldn’t thank her enough. My MOH and I both had issues with our dresses & the amazing ladies at Bon Bon Belle attached to Mercantile Hall came over and stitched us up! Everyone was so so amazing all day! So happy we choose this venue!

Perfect venue!!
Mercantile Hall was the best venue we could have ever asked for! Nicole was our wedding coordinator and she was so easy to work with, responsive, and took care of literally every single bump or fire that possibly could’ve occurred on our wedding day. The opening staff set our venue up to my exact vision and lifted every ounce of stress I had on the day. The closing staff packed our items with care and it was so easy to pick up the next day and not have to worry the night of or have friends and family stay to clean. We had every single item returned! We could not recommend Mercantile hall more!!! -

We could not recommend Mercantile Hall enough!! This venue is our favorite place. We toured the venue before we were even engaged, knowing the craziness of the wedding industry right now, and we fell in love the moment we walked through the doors. Every staff member we met was welcoming and warm, clearly loving the work they do. We booked immediately, and our wedding planning journey would not have been as smooth as it was without their help. We also had the upstairs Bridal Suite, which was the perfect getting ready place for me and my girls. We went with the middle level coordinator package, and I would absolutely recommend this as well. We worked with Stephanie, and she ensured every detail was curated to perfection. She knew our entire bridal party and parents (20 people) by name, made sure there was never an empty glass amongst us all, kept my husband and I fed and clear from any hiccups, and made us feel like the most special people with her love and attention. On our wedding day, the entire staff gave this same energy. They were warm and kind to our guests, and had the perfect mix of blending into the background while also enjoying themselves and the party. Our day was PERFECT, and it would not have been possible without Mercantile and their staff. We love you, Merc!
We went with Merc Sound because we trusted the Mercantile Hall staff, and we were SO happy with this decision!! We met with DJ Terry first, who spent time getting to know us as a couple, our vision for the day, and the soundtrack to all our important moments. We filled out a detailed workbook, and then he matched us with one of their DJs who fit our vision best. We were matched with DJ Levi, who was super upbeat and really understood our vision of the day. We knew we were in good hands! On the morning of our wedding, we got the news that DJ Levi had a family emergency, but DJ Gray (Nathan) would be stepping in. The DJs had met and spent time going over everything to make our day happen, and the transition couldn’t have been smoother. Nathan checked in with us often to make sure everything was right and key details were being hit. When the dance floor opened, he had a perfect blend of our wants and his creative and professional input. As the bride, he really let me run the show, and we came up with hand signals I could give him from the dance floor so he knew if I wanted a song skipped, to move on, or keep it going longer than the minute thirty timestamp rule we had given. Our dance floor was full all night, and we have Merc Sound to thank for that! -

Mercantile Hall had the best service and we had an amazing experience overall. We purchased the bundle for the additional bridal suite due to the size of our wedding party and it was a gorgeous space and absolutely perfect. Our wedding planner Jess was so responsive, kind, and helpful with everything we needed. She brought our vision to life and it was everything we wanted! -

Twas the night of a wedding!
What can I say about Mercantile Hall and my wedding coordinator, Stephanie Heft?! From the very beginning of my wedding journey my mom, my groom and I were simply looking for a venue for dinner and dancing after a private ceremony. However, when we stepped foot inside the Mercantile Hall, we fell in LOVE with the venue, the Urb Garden, Suesanna the Camper, and all this the Merc has to offer. We booked the Merc and upgraded, several times, to the Luxe Package to have the best wedding possible without all the stress as a bride and her entourage. Stephanie and her team did an amazing job and this elegant, most perfect day would not have been complete without her and the teams help. Her team included Merc staff, Gertrude & Evelyn Vintage Rentals, Merc sound, DJ Preston specifically, who rocked the dance floor and of course Mr. and Mrs. Claus making an appearance at the end of the parade. The food was also a huge hit from Smokin' Blue BBQ with the best brisket and mac & cheese in Burlington. As for the florist, gia bella flowers & gifts couldn’t have done better than what they created for our wedding. Our sweetheart table you see in the video is just one example of the elegance and passion they put in to creating and setting up of the perfect wedding. To capture the perfect day, you need a fun photographer. For our special day, BCPhotochem by Bri Gilmore did fantastic! We cant wait to see photos captured. Finally, instead of cake we did cookies and a s’mores bar with hot cocoa. The current and most elegant cookies you will get from Auntie Cra Cra Creative Cookie Corner! I could not have asked for a more perfect day. If you are in need of a venue or any vendors for your winter wedding, I highly recommend Mercantile Hall and working with Stephanie Heft. We got married at Mercantile Hall on 11/24/2024! We can’t recommend them enough! They made our wedding day the best day ever!
The Merc Team has been so supportive from the beginning to the end! We had some hard times getting back to wedding planning after my husband’s mother passed earlier in the year and the Merc Team was right there supporting us with whatever we needed. They helped us create a beautiful memorial for her on the wedding day. ❤️
I cannot recommend their coordinator packages enough! The coordinator packages are worth every penny, and Stephanie, who stepped in as our coordinator within the last month or so, was a true dream to work with! She answered all of the questions I had and made my wedding vision come true. The in person meetings we had were always filled with laughter and definitely put my mind at ease through the planning process. It was nice to be able to discuss my vision and have their input on things. Stephanie did so much for us not just during the planning process but also the day of. She helped come up with a way to hang one of our pictures that was heavier than expected, made beautiful arrangements with extra items we had and even became a spontaneous seamstress when I needed her most!
My bridesmaids and I loved the getting ready suite upstairs! It is a beautiful space, especially to take pictures and has tons of natural lighting! It was also very convenient to get ready there and have a big space to put all of our belongings and hang our dresses. Mercantile also has other add ons and in-house services that just make the day even more magnificent! We had the fire pit and s’mores and the hot chocolate! It was all so wonderful and made the day even better!
The day of team was also a wonder to work with! I went down the morning of to thank them all for helping on the day and they were all so kind calling me a beautiful bride and congratulating us on our joyous day! They really helped make our vision a dream come true! We also used Merc Sound for our DJ, and Preston (DJ Alto) delivered a fun experience for all!
In general, Mercantile Hall is a beautiful venue that we keep getting compliments on. It’s spacious but also gives an intimate vibe as well. The Merc Team made us feel like family and we are so happy we went with this venue! -

We got married at Mercantile Hall on 9/21/24 and cannot recommend them enough! We had both our ceremony and reception there and guests loved that they didn't have to travel from one place to another. We used their DJ service and LOVED DJ Levi. He did an excellent job at playing music that we suggested while keeping the dance floor full and making appropriate announcements as needed. We got the coordinator package through Merc and had Nicole as our day of coordinator. She was seriously the best through every step of the way including the in-person and phone meetings we had with her throughout the planning process and all of the emails and questions that we had along the way. She was quick to respond and helpful with all of the planning. On the day of, they set up the venue even better than how I could have imagined it and everything was so beautiful. The bartenders and all of the other staff were also so amazing. All of the staff were so supportive. SO many guests told me it was one of the best weddings they have been to and I think the venue itself along with the amazing Mercantile Hall team are the reasons for that. Everything went perfect and I really thank the Mercantile Hall team. Their communication, professionalism, and desire to ensure your wedding day is the best is what makes them the perfect venue. -

My Husband and I got married at Mercantile Hall this past May and we adored every minute of it. We knew immediately after taking a tour that it was our venue. In fact, we wanted to get married at Merc. so bad, that we booked it before being officially engaged. We have received more compliments about the venue than you could imagine both during and since the wedding.
10/10 recommend getting the day of coordinator package. Racheal was our coordinator and I was blown away!! When I saw all of the decor set up, it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. She was there for us every step of the way and responded to any questions we had in a timely manner. Racheal literally only had to ask me one question the whole wedding, otherwise she took care of everything and did it so seamlessly. Mercantile Hall staff also cleaned up all of our decor which is priceless. They even took care to wrap all of my vases and package everything so it wouldn’t get damaged on the way home. Trust me when I say that you NEED to get married here! -

We had an amazing experience with Mercantile Hall and are so happy we decided to have our wedding here! The venue itself is stunning and has so much character. We loved that it was indoor/outdoor and the new upstairs bridal suite was perfect for getting ready. The price-point is very fair and we loved the a la carte nature of the pricing and add-ons because you can really build out the wedding that makes the most sense for you. The staff was caring, thoughtful, attentive, and helpful at every step of the planning process. We decided to take advantage of their Coordinator package, which made everything so easy. Racheal did an amazing job helping us to bring our vision to life and answered every little question and email quickly and thoroughly. The Merc Team did all of the set up and tear down for us, so we got to just show up and enjoy the entirety of our day. They gave us super helpful tools to plan on what needed to be done and when. They sent reminders throughout the process. We also took advantage of their assigned in-house DJ, which felt like a gamble at first, but they took the time to answer all of our questions and make us feel comfortable with the process. Finally, we loved that all of our vendors knew each other and were able to refer each other making us trust our team wholeheartedly. We had our dream wedding and would 100% recommend booking your wedding at the Mercantile Hall! -

A Magical and Romantic Venue and the Perfect Wedding Village
Mercantile Hall made for the most magical and romantic wedding, even in the middle of winter. The venue was flexible and accommodating especially given it was a last minute wedding due to family health concerns. We loved having the ceremony and reception in one place with such ease. And again, I cant stresa how accommodating the staff and venue was which helped make our wedding feel unique and so memorable. The venue was also conveniently located for our guests mainly residing in WI and IL, with a hotel, bars and restaurants within walking distance, making it a nice getaway for guests. Burlington is such a charming city and such a perfect wedding village with hair and makeup, caterers, bakery and more all in the area. We stayed at the beautiful Mart Apt which made getting ready, taking photos, and hosting friends and family so easy. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone! -

The Venue of our Dreams
From the moment we set foot in Mercantile Hall, we knew it was the place we were meant to be married. The team was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with our endless questions and requests. They work well as a team to cover each other to ensure all of our questions were answers and our needs were met. We got married in October at Mercantile hall and had our ceremony outside. The venue was the perfect size and aesthetic for our 150 guest wedding and the day went perfectly. The Mercantile Team has weddings down to a science! Once we gave a set up plan to the team, they were incredibly efficient in getting it done without needing my guidance and they utilized their knowledge and skill to set up in the most aesthetic and efficient way possible. We did not have to take down our decorations after the wedding and everything was packed neatly and efficiently for us to pick up the following morning. Our wedding coordinator Amy, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect and she felt like family by the time the day came. She collaborated with all of our vendors to take a lot of the work off of our plates and was incredibly knowledgeable in all the processes involved in planning a wedding. The experience was absolutely perfect and there wasn't a single moment I felt stressed. Mercantile was worth every penny, and we also fell in love wit Downtown Burlington and visit frequently! The only thing I feel like I missed out on is the bridal sweet that just opened upstairs! I would have loved to utilize that extra perk and think its such a great idea that they created it! Mercantile Was the best venue we could have asked for and we felt like family through the whole process of planning our wedding! -

The Mercantile Hall Team did everything to make our wishes and dreams for our wedding come true. This included having an outdoor wedding in 20 degree weather! Destiny Palechek may have frozen her fingers off, but she and her team did everything to make our wishes come true. It was a wonderful venue and we have received many compliments on how great the space was and what a great location and venue we had. If you want a loft/city feel in a quaint and upcoming town, Mercantile Hall is the place to go! -

Above & Beyond Venue!!
As a resident of Burlington, WI- I was hesitant to get married a mile from our home. Once I stepped foot into the Mercantile, I instantly fell in love with the aesthetically pleasing interior design work and the hospitality of the staff. Our wedding was on 8.12.22 and we had started planning 17 months before. The Mercantile staff were very informative and communicative the entire step of the way. Our day of coordinator, Jess Strom, was so personable and ensured that we felt confident in their staffs team work. Jess was my number 1 hype-woman to her entire team. She made me feel like our wedding was the "it" wedding of the year. Unfortunately, COVID had hit Jess 2 days before our wedding. She reassured us that our wedding would still go as planned and that Amy would be our new day of coordinator. Of course this made me nervous, but the concise communication between the staff was proven through this, as Amy took over and made sure everything went off without a hitch! Amy made my husband, myself, and my family feel so comfortable and excited to be there! On the day of, there was a possibility of rain happening during our outdoor ceremony. Andrew and Amy communicated this to me so calmly and again reassured me that they could make a beautiful indoor ceremony set up within a short amount of time. Fortunately, we were able to make the outdoor ceremony work-however, I really appreciated the way that they shared this news with me. Our guests constantly tell us how much fun they had at our wedding and how much they loved the "personal touches" that the Mercantile has to offer. If you're looking for a modern but timeless, elegant, classic look for your day-Mercantile is your place!
I call Mercantile Hall a hidden gem because it is tucked in a historic downtown of a small town- with big city vibes. My husband and I have ran into the Mercantile staff after our wedding and they still make us feel special and apart of their family rather than another customer. So so so happy we chose Mercantile! -

We truly cannot say enough positive things! Mercantile Hall is such an incredible venue. They have stunning outdoor and indoor options for weddings, and have the most accommodating and professional staff members. Stephanie made our dreams come true and eased any questions we had before and during our wedding day. We continue to get compliments from our guests how responsive the staff was throughout our event and how beautiful the venue is. We would undoubtedly recommend Merc to any prospective couples. I lived in Chicago and was looking for an affordable place and rustic looking style around chicago but everything was expensive and have guest limit. I came across Mercantile, which is the first tour I went and I just love it. The staff help me a lot especially Rachael, who is very nice to help me with everything.
All my family and friends keeps asking me how I came across this place, I’m just glad I found this venue which fit in my budget and at the same time beautiful venue and very nice staff. -

Amazing Venue!
I had my Halloween wedding at Mercantile and it was the best decision I made! I had looked at a couple other venues prior to seeing Mercantile Hall and was immediately blown away by both the facility and the staff. I initially met with Megan to tour the facility and she was awesome to work with! Her energy is so positive and anytime I would see or talk with her, I would get more excited for the wedding. Once we got more into planning, we began working with Stephanie who was equally as awesome and fun to be around. Stephanie set up all of our wedding decorations and the set up was better than I could have ever dreamed! I was also a bit of a last minute bride (whoops!) and bought 2 bouquets at Pick n Save the day before the wedding hoping I could turn them into something cool. Stephanie took charge and put my bouquet together and it was so gorgeous and creative! The photographer was shocked that those flowers came from the grocery store. The day of my wedding went so smoothly thanks to Stephanie! The venue is beyond beautiful and so unique. I loved every aspect of the venue - the hardwood floors, brick wall, industrial lighting, gorgeous patio - everything was perfect! I wanted something fun and unique to go with the Halloween theme and Mercantile Hall was just the place. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things that this venue has to offer. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Mercantile Hall in a heartbeat and save myself all the time spent looking at other venues. -

Mercantile Hall provided the wedding of my dreams, particularly Stephanie my wedding coordinator! From the minute we visited to the days after the wedding, Stephanie and her team were there whenever I needed her. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was stressful, unpredictable, and overwhelming. Stephanie was available whenever I needed her and answered my many (and I mean many) questions whenever I had them. We ended up having a wedding of about 100 guests, but I didn't feel like we were missing anything.
The location was BEAUTIFULLY decorated and was everything I had ever imagined and dreamed of. The vendors were phenomenal (many people said Gooseberries provided the best wedding food they had ever had). The outside bonfire was a HUGE hit, especially having a November wedding. Although my wedding was not what I had originally imagined it was everything and more! If not for the Mercantile and Stephanie my wedding dreams would have never come true.

As soon as I saw pictures of Merc Hall, I knew that I needed to be there on my wedding day. It is perfectly industrial and can be dressed up for a glamorous wedding or kept more simple for something casual (the route we went). The brick walls are perfect and decoration enough on their own! We had our ceremony outside in their Urb Garden, and was perfect for a summer day. Burlington is such a great spot to get married. -

Getting married at Mercantile Hall was an absolute dream come true. The second I stepped through Mercantile Hall's doors (and met our coordinator Stephanie) I knew I was right at home! The venue was absolutely stunning, and Stephanie was the sweetest, most calming coordinator a bride could ask for! In just 3 months, Stephanie helped us plan our entire wedding from start to finish; we could not have pulled it off without her!
On wedding day, we moved our ceremony inside due to weather, and yet again, Stephanie and the Mercantile Team handled the transition effortlessly. Our indoor ceremony was so personal and intimate; our guests couldn't believe that wasn't the plan all along! The entire night went better than we could have ever imagined. I cannot thank Mercantile Hall enough for giving us the most perfect wedding day! -

This venue is absolutely beautiful! The building itself has great bones and doesn't need many decorations to look stunning! We had our ceremony outdoors and it was so beautiful. Every detail has been thoroughly designed and allows you to personalize the space for your special day. Many of the features are included in the venue pricing - a gallery wall for 8x10'' photos, a kraft paper scroll to write a message to guests and a projector wall to feature photos. Every couple is assigned a venue coordinator who helps answer questions and is present on the day-of the wedding. Our venue coordinator was Meghan and we also worked heavily with Stephanie - both of these women are absolutely amazing. They were flexible with our requests and helped us stay on track with our timeline during the wedding. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a special day and we would recommend them to anyone! -

What can I say about the Mercantile Hall except our wedding there was a dream come true! My husband and I got engaged in January 2019 and wanted to get married that upcoming summer, which meant that we had 7 short months to plan our wedding. Luckily the Urb garden had just opened up, so we were able to have our ceremony outside! The Urb garden is AMAZING!! We worked with Stephanie as our wedding coordinator and she was awesome! She took all of my crazy pinterest ideas and ensured that they happen. She did everything that she could to make sure that our day was perfect. -

Mercantile Hall was beyond superb! The team there was so helpful and catered to my every request. The venue was perfect for our 160 guests; we used the outdoor Urb Garden for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The reception space was versatile enough that I could bring my dream to life. Merc has a vendor recommendation of every thing you could possibly think of. I cannot say enough about Stephanie and how supportive and helpful she was throughout the entire planning process all the way up until the end of our big night. I am obsessed with Mercantile Hall and their team of devoted staff members who want to make you biggest day the best day of your life!

The moment I reached out, Stephanie and the rest of the wonderful ladies were on top of everything and so kind. Kathleen Sent on 10/17/2017I will never forget walking into Mercantile Hall back in November 2016 and seeing a shell of a space. But even that shell, was beautiful. Then we met Stephanie. What can I say about her? She is simply amazing. You can tell she LOVES what she does. Anytime we had questions, she had answers. Fast forward to Sept 30, 2017, and the shell of a space was transformed into true beauty! And the staff were awesome!!! If you are looking for a unique, beautiful space for your wedding, you have to check out Mercantile Hall. You will be glad you did!

They also had a lot of cute extra touches such as the option for a slideshow or photos projected and framed photos along the hallway walls as the guests enter, which made it really unique. Stephanie was an awesome resource when it came to planning our wedding, and everyone there was so helpful! We got so many compliments on our venue, I couldn't ask for a better spot. -

Beautiful venue and great staff!
My coordinator, Meghan Cass, along with the owners and other staff members, were amazing to work with. The day was so beautiful with everything they helped me do to the venue on that day. It was so nice having this venue with a package that provides me with linens, tables, chairs, ceremony space, bar, DJ, and list or preferred Caterers instead of having contacts at vendors for each of these things. While in my personal experience the DJ did not perform to my standards, Meghan and the owners truly did everything they could to show that they have the highest standard for quality of service in every area and did more than enough to correct the situation. I would suggest talking about their in house MC's in more detail if you have a specific playlist or songs, etc, for your wedding ceremony and reception. Besides that, truly a fantastic experience all around and I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area to use this incredible venue. Thank you all so much for making my day as perfect as it could be! -

And they were very helpful, every step of the way! Including giving us photo-op and food suggestions around the Burlington/venue area! I would definitely recommend Mercantile to any Bride looking for rustic-elegance, in a beautiful small town setting.

Pricing
-- The base price for the bar, ceremony usage, and rental was fair and as expected.
However, there are many additional items, such as signature cocktails, Edison Lights, and usage of their outdoor games were overpriced and unmissed. However, things like the camper and the calligraphy that we did not use, were noticed by guests in a negative light.
My husband and I had to explain that the camper can be used as an outdoor bar, but was also an heavy extra cost that we did not feel was worth. The unuse of the calligraphy, but instead there was a spotlight on a blank piece of brown parchment paper, and it felt very embarrassing. When these extras are in use, I am sure they are lovely, but when a couple cannot afford or choose that it was not their taste for the big day. The venue can lead to inexplicit shame for us not taking on the extra costs.
- Coordinator/Point of Contacts
Throughout our experience with Mercantile, we had three different people people being our coordinators/point of contacts. The first one my husband and I enjoyed professionally and personally. Due to maternity leave, we were very understanding as to why we were given a new person of contact.
The second person, we were not as pleased with for different reasons. The larger issue that I had was during a coordinator meeting, between the venue coordinator, our personal coordinator (hired outside of venue), and myself. At one point, she began to show a list of things that are offered at the venue, but it was not said they would all cost extra until questioned. With a lot of anxiety already, I was almost in tears with embarrassment and shame when it was exposed that all of them were extra, starting at least $50 to 1,000 or more. I was quick to say to skip the list entirely.
This coordinator was also inconsistent with response times, being from one hour to several days. At one point, we were having a conversation about the bar minimum after sending our final count. At first, it was over email and turned into a phone call. We had not met our minimum with 110 guests and had some extra money that needed to be filled. Over an email, I was told one number, and the phone call, she told me a much different number with an unclear reason as to why that was. At first, she gave us two possible solutions. Both of said solutions were either over budget, which a month until the wedding is not what any bride or groom wants to hear, OR did not serve all of our guests that could feel rude to those guests. We came to the solution of a bottle of wine for the bridesmaids and I got to the venue, the groom & men got beer when they arrived, and 11 cocktails during the reception for myself and husband "free" of charge.
Somewhere with weeks until our wedding, the venue switched the coordinator for the third time. The reasons for this switch were never explained to us. This person, unlike the last, was very consistent and quick to respond with the majority of the time was under two hours. We did enjoy her brief work with us.
Overall
We adore our wedding venue and its beauty inside and out for the ceremony and reception. We enjoyed the freedoms we did have and the convenience of the location for both ourselves and our guests. Looking back, our biggest complaints would be the nickel-and-diming with all of the both large and small extras, some of which we agree are overpriced with the little use they would have been. The second being the switching of points of contains numerous times, which other brides and grooms can only imagine the frustration. I'm deeply grateful for our personal coordinator that truly help make our wedding day be what we wanted and less stressful.
