DJ Shawn Steele was the best!! He was flexible, helpful and made me as the bride feel like it was all about me and supported my decision with ceremony changes due to rain. He read the crowd and got the dance floor full the entire night! He officiated and we couldn’t have been more happy. -

Amazing DJ!
We are so glad we decided to hire Shawn as our wedding DJ! From the very first phone call, we were confident and excited that Shawn knew what he was doing! He is there to guide you every step of the way. We bought the package with the Photo Booth - and we’re so glad we did! It was a hit and people were in it all night long. We especially loved the photo book that was gifted to us at the end of the night that included all shots from the Photo Booth! The dance floor was full all night long, and our guests loved the extra accessories Shawn was handing out. He arrived day of with plenty of time to get himself set up and ready to go. His communication with our other vendors is what made our day so stress free. We can’t thank you enough Shawn + team! -

We are so grateful to have had Shawn as our wedding DJ and coordinator! He did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long! My husband and I both love music, so having the right music to set the vibe on our wedding day was super important to us- Shawn absolutely nailed it. From start to finish, everything flowed perfectly, and we know a huge part of that is thanks to his amazing music and seamless coordination! Throughout the planning process, he was so easy to work with and went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Wedding planning can be very stressful, but Shawn’s organization, experience, and attention to detail made everything feel effortless! We truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! Shawn brought the energy and kept the party going all night long. He was the perfect host to announce our wedding party and emcee our speeches. He even added an extra touch, and played the Star Wars Theme Song, as well as projected a light show of ships battling on the wall after our Best Man had referenced it in his speech. He most definitely can read and engage with the crowd. Once our people hit the dance floor, they never left.
During the planning process, Shawn was professional, easy to work with, and truly went above and beyond to make our night unforgettable. Shawn not only excels at his work, but he is a genuine and wonderful person. Thank you Shawn for making our special day perfect! We are so grateful and blessed we were able to have you be our DJ! -

I can't say enough, Shawn is THE BEST. He performed the ceremony at my daughter's wedding and was also the entertainment for the reception. He thinks of everything. The music kept us all on the dance floor for the entire evening. He really loves what he does, and it absolutely shows. So many people came up to us at the wedding to ask about him and to tell us how great he was. Shawn was our DJ when we got married, and he surprised us by playing our first dance song. So much thought goes into everything he does. He spends a lot of time talking to you, asking questions, really getting a feel for who you are as a couple. He is such a great guy and such a talented person. Highly recommend, you will be glad you picked him :-) -

Shawn made the entire process extremely easy, from our first chat to the actual day of. When we first had our initial phone call with Shawn to just try to get a feel for what kind of DJ he was we knew instantly that we wanted Shawn to be our DJ. We chatted for about 45 minutes, with him giving out his recommendations for caterers, photo, cool things he's seen at weddings, he really helped grow a connection extremely quickly. Shawn is extremely professional and very good at his job. The day of, Shawn did amazing work, from cracking jokes with the Groom to help him relax for the big day to curating a great playlist of songs to keep the dance floor going all night. Shawn even made sure to get a picture of everyone at the wedding after the photographer had left. If you are looking for someone to DJ a wedding give Shawn a call you will not regret it one bit. -

Our wedding was in July in our backyard field and Shawn Steele went with the flow and was super accommodating. He was fantastic and was having just as much fun as we did! No questions asked, he kept the dancing going for basically 5.5 hours straight! He was the best DJ we could have asked for on our wedding day. -

Our DJ (Shawn Steele) absolutely killed it at our reception. Shawn’s ability to honor the requests of the bride and groom and skill to create a great playlist for all ages and genre’s was something for the ages! He was flexible and kept the party going as long as we wanted. Nothing but love and respect for this man. And the photo booth was an excellent last minute addition as well! We highly recommend! -

Shawn is the best! He was our wedding officiant and our DJ. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. His words during the ceremony were very personal and were written for us. He read the crowd well and knew what music to play to keep the party going. He made us feel like family and went above and beyond to meet our needs. During the planning, he communicated very well with us, offered suggestions, and was organized. He is a genuine, down to earth, caring, and super great guy. I was the 4th person in my family to ask Shawn to DJ for our wedding and we will all continue to recommend him! -

I have often told many I am not a mind reader, but DJ Steele is thankfully NOT in that group. He is the best DJ that God has placed on this Earth!!! When you're in the middle of enjoying your new marriage with the most beautiful woman in the world, you just want to enjoy the celebration and let everyone else take over. After several conversations of what we liked, DJ Steele did NOT hestitate to completely take over and do everything with supreme perfection! Everyone I talked to after our wedding went on and on about how good the DJ was and how this was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding. Why? Because DJ Steele is in charge! The man was so wonderfully in control and used his jedi mind powers to feel the crowd and mystify one and all!!! This guy's got crazy skills and is so adaptable and very easy to deal with both before, during and after our special day. Memories in Motion isn't just a title he thought up...he lives it everytime he does his job. We are so deeply blessed he was our DJ and you would be brain dead not to hire him for your special event. In my opinion he is the only option to hire and the best DJ God has placed on this Earth! AMEN!!! -

My husband and I booked Shawn as we were given his name by a relative. However, we did not just choose Shawn because of the contact provided to us, we choose Shawn because we liked his personality and responsiveness to messages. Shawn is so easy to work with and is always on top of all communication. As our wedding date approached he was sure to reach out and make sure we felt comfortable with all the plans we had in place already and even just to check in with us and see how we were feeling pre-wedding! Shawn made us feel so comfortable on the day of our wedding because he handled EVERYTHING! He handled the timeline, making sure our guests knew about what was going on, and keeping my husband and I on schedule too! He also knows how to throw a pretty good PARTY! Our guests were dancing all night and we had so much fun out on the dance floor! Thank you so much Shawn! If you're in need of a wedding DJ, we highly recommend Shawn and Memories in Motion! -

Shawn was the most professional DJ I've ever worked with. He made my wedding the best it could have possibly been. He did our ceremony and reception music and everyone had a good time. He will work with you on every little detail and is extremely thorough. You can tell he takes pride in his work. My guests say my wedding was the best they've been to in a long time and I attribute that to Shawn. Not only did he make a custom playlist for my husband and I, he helped us with taking large group photos, playing the shoe game, and he single handedly ran the reception and kept it on-time. I was not stressed about much and was able to enjoy my wedding reception. Thank you Shawn!!! -

DJ Mike at Memories in Motion was absolutely outstanding. He was kind, professional, and very helpful in guiding us through our reception timeline. He also was very flexible and when we couldn't find a ceremony musician, was able to step in and play our ceremony music as well. My husband and I both agree that our favorite part of the night was a total surprise by DJ Mike - our last slow song he cleared the dance floor (except for us) and played "Grow Old with You" from the Wedding Singer. We were so pleasantly surprised by it and that moment still gives me chills. I would recommend DJ Mike or anyone else from Memories in Motion. -

We could not have picked a better DJ for our wedding! Shawn was amazing throughout the entire process! We met with him before our big day to discuss what the entire ceremony and reception was going to look like! We left his office with 100% confidence that he was going to make our day exactly the way we wanted it! Everything ended up being even better than we expected! He was working with the venue coordinator, photographers, and videographers and I didn't even realize it! He was making sure they were all where they needed to be for the entire night, so they didn't miss anything that we had planned! He has the best up-lighting, monogram, slide-show, photo booth and larger than life sparklers allowing us to have a rock star entrance! Once the dancing started- it lasted for 3.5 hours and the dance floor was packed the entire night! Everyone was dancing- grandparents, parents, and our high school and college friends. He played the perfect music that people couldn't help but get up and dance to! I cannot say enough good things about Shawn! We got dozens and dozens of compliments about him and I would never recommend anyone other than Shawn Steele from Memories in Motion! -

DJ Shawn Steele (Memories in Motion) was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning of our interaction. During our information gathering phase when we were trying to decide how to handle the music at our reception, Shawn was responsive and informative, but never pushy. There are so many things you have to think about when planning a wedding and ideally the DJ should not be something you have to spend a lot of time on. Shawn got whatever information he needed from us and then assured us that everything would be taken care of, and it was! He took time to meet with us a few weeks before the wedding to go over our plan for the reception. He had some really helpful suggestions, but also really emphasized that this was our day and we were in charge. One thing we really appreciated was that he told us to let him do the stressing for us! We were instructed to just let go and enjoy our day, and that's what we did. When it came time for the reception itself, DJ Shawn did a great job coordinating with the wedding party to make sure everyone knew what to do and where to be. He brought incredible energy to the room and put together a phenomenal playlist. Since it was an afternoon reception we weren't sure how many people would dance, but he still got our guests out on the floor! We really appreciated his friendliness, professionalism, his obvious enjoyment of his work, and his effort to make our day perfect. If you want a fun reception, great music, and the ability to relax on your wedding day and know that the details are taken care of, we highly recommend DJ Shawn. -

Shawn was wonderful to work with! He really got to know us and really made our day absolutely perfect. He worked with our tastes to put together an unbelievable playlist. My guests could stop dancing the whole night because every song was so good! He was so easy to get in contact with and made himself 100% available to us. Karyn Sent on 07/10/2018I thought Shawn was a great event DJ, really responsive when we asked him to make announcements, and kept up on everything that was going on - even though we were really winging it, since it was our first try with a new theme. I have had MC's in the past that would have blown a gasket, but Shawn was really collected and kept things moving. And for the very first time in the 10 years I have done our spring gala, the dance floor was packed! People had such a good time, and that was definitely due to Shawn's efforts - he listened to what the crowd wanted and it really made a difference. He even helped by acting as auctioneer for a couple live auction items. If you are planning an event or a wedding in Erie, PA - hire him now!

Tom Sent on 03/17/2018We don't typically write reviews but now knowing how hard it is to pick vendors for weddings, we thought we should share our experience. Most people just look for a DJ who can play good music... well these days you could just plug your phone in to do that. Shawn was much more than a wedding DJ... he was more like an event coordinator who also played great music! He greeted us the minute we walked into the reception hall, chased down bridal party members and parents to ensure everybody was present and ready to party! He even took care of getting a wedding prop from our hotel room for us so that we could enjoy time with our bridal party before the reception entrance. He kept the night moving according to schedule so that we had enough time for everything we wanted to do and felt out the room at all times playing music that catered to the mood. He made it all about us and that's really what you want on your wedding day!
