I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maria. I knew I wanted a photographer who worked beautifully with natural light, avoided heavy editing, and had experience with beach weddings, and Maria, along with her assistant Lauren, exceeded every expectation. From our very first phone call, I immediately felt comfortable with Maria and trusted her completely. She was incredibly warm, genuine, and easy to work with. She even made the long drive to Philadelphia for our engagement photos, which I appreciated more than she knows. Our wedding photos in Ocean City turned out absolutely stunning. We’ve received so many compliments, several people have told us they’re the nicest wedding photos they’ve ever seen and look like they belong in a bridal magazine. That’s all thanks to Maria’s talent and vision. I already have so many photos printed and displayed throughout our home, and I know we’ll treasure them for the rest of our lives. Maria and Lauren made us feel so comfortable and joyful on our special day, which truly shines through in every picture. They did an exceptional job, and I would love to work with Maria again in the future for family photos once we start a family. I highly recommend Maria! -

The BEST Wedding Photographer
Memories by Maria far exceeded our expectations in all areas. She is affordable, professional, and organized. She was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions and concerns. Maria was great to work with all around. She offered a complimentary engagement shoot with our package, which I thought was really nice because it gave us a chance to get a feel for how pictures would go on our wedding day. My husband and I do not enjoy getting our photos taken and were nervous about the whole thing, but Maria did a great job with getting us to feel comfortable and the photos turned out gorgeous. I definitely would recommend Maria as a wedding photographer! -

Perfect beach wedding
Maria did a fantastic job photographing our beach wedding. Everything was perfect from the planning to the execution. She thought of everything and gave us lots of great suggestions and the pictures were absolutely perfect. We have used Maria a number of times for family portraits as well, and she is incredible! We loved working with Maria for our engagement and wedding photos! She communicated and checked in throughout the planning process, and we felt comfortable in front of the camera with her. Maria was flexible and worked hard during our sessions to find creative photo locations. Our engagement photos were taken at the beach, and they were stunning! The weather did not cooperate on our wedding day, and we needed to adjust the photo schedule. Maria was accommodating and worked wonders during and after the rain! We absolutely love our photos, and we cannot recommend Maria enough! -

Maria was the first vendor we booked for our wedding! Once I saw all of the beautiful beach photos she has done, I knew I would trust her to do my own. She was so receptive to the ideas we had and made them come to life! It was amazing to watch her creativity in action. The photos turned out better than I could have ever expected. They have made me tear up more than once because of how she was able to capture the emotions in each stage of our wedding. We could not have asked for a better photographer! Maria was professional, quick to respond, and very willing to work with our few requests! I assumed that we would need at least 2 photographers to get all the pictures we wanted, but I am so glad we listened to Maria because she was a rockstar and indeed got all the must have pictures by herself! Maria always kept in touch, even when there was still about a year until our wedding. We always felt in the loop and like we mattered to Maria. To top it all off, her pictures are top notch and look stunning! We couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Maria as our photographer. -

The best wedding photographer
Working with Maria for our wedding was an absolute delight. She was professional and dedicated to making my wedding my dream come true. From initially meeting her to getting some photos the next day! - the process has been easy and one of the least stressful things about the wedding. I am very picky with photos and she nailed it. Her attention to detail and creativity - and thinking on the fly… resulted in stunning photographs that perfectly encapsulated our wedding day. We had the most perfect sunset and she nailed the photos. We had two ceremonies- one private and and the. The big one and she made it work. She captured both and I am so happy I found her!
Maria has a very friendly demeanor and will put your mind at ease.
We highly recommend her for your wedding, engagement and family sessions. You will be happy you chose her to capture your memories you will enjoy for years to come.

Maria from Memories by Maria Photography was an all-around amazing photographer — she kept us on track, was such a calming and kind presence, took beautiful photos, and helped us have a fun, happy day with our memories captured to last a lifetime! We love them so much! She ran around everywhere all night to get shots of us with everyone that we wanted, even staying a little later than planned to make sure all of our special moments were captured. She was very organized beforehand with frequent reminders & detailed questionnaires. The questionnaires were a bit stressful to fill out, but that was mostly because all of our other vendors had detailed questionnaires to fill out as well and it was a lot of work to think through and decide on every detail. However, it really did make the wedding day go so smoothly, so that every exciting and beautiful moment could be captured. I love the photos of me with my dress, running through the tunnel of the bridal party, the pics of me with my parents, and of course the bridal portraits of Zach and I with the sun shining/setting over our heads. The beautiful images of my grandparents and I dancing, and the pictures with my parents, will be cherished forever. We were really happy with the turnaround as well- she sent us 60 photos less than 24 hours later, so we could share and enjoy them with our friends and family! Then she provided us a few more photos a week or two later, and the full gallery about 3 weeks post-wedding. We would recommend her to anyone wanting a great wedding day! Her packages are very reasonably and competitively priced as well, and the included engagement photo session is just the icing on the cake. -

Very Professional and Artistic! Exceeded our Expectations!
We loved working with Maria for our wedding. Before, after and during the shoot, Maria was professional, communicative, and very knowledgable. She really helped us think through all the details. On the actual day, we had some unknown variables with the weather, and Maria was extremely helpful and flexible about how to work with our constraints to get the very best shoot. From day one Maria has been invested in what I (the bride) was looking for in terms of what photos I wanted captured on my wedding day. She goes above and beyond with creating a detailed list of moments you want photographed and then will work closely with you to construct a detailed timeline in which order the photos will be taken in. Maria will reach out to you via call or text if you have not reached out to her in a while to make sure you are on the same page and even suggest meeting in person to make sure the intended itinerary is to your satisfaction. My fiance and I did not have a very large budget for our wedding (10k and less) and Maria's photography services were too good to pass up and we ended up booking her and we are happy that we did. Our wedding photos are stunning! I am obsessed with how gorgeous these came out and I know my husband and I will love and cherish these photographs for the rest of our lives! -

I am an Event Planner in North Carolina and was helping my niece plan her wedding. My niece lives in New Jersey so my research began to find the perfect photographer for her big day. In deciding on a photographer, we decided to go with Memories by Maria. I hadn't met Maria until a few days before the wedding in person, but her work was amazing and she was so friendly and professional to work with. As I live out of state, my niece relied on me to help her find the perfect photographer and I believe we found just that in Maria. Maria was a dream to work with! She is so friendly; she has a great sense of humor, and she has such a wonderful eye. I never thought I was a photogenic person and normally hated photos of myself until Maria took our engagement photos. We were in awe and so stoked for her to capture our wedding day because the engagement photos were so gorgeous! She really takes the time to feel out your comfort level and finds poses that are natural and genuine. And she’s incredibly organized! I remember feeling overwhelmed about shaping out the timeline of the wedding day until we met with Maria, and she had it all mapped out for us in less than a half hour. She is so quick with getting the photos back too; we couldn’t believe we had our wedding gallery back so fast, and the photos are breathtaking! Maria is the best!! She photographed my wedding on 5/7/22! I am so happy with my choice of photographer. I met Maria in 2019 at one of my best friend's wedding. I loved her pictures when she got them back! After watching her experience with Maria, I knew I had to reach out!! Every step of the way Maria was so kind, attentive and creative! She was so responsive with any questions and very organized! In June 2021, we had our engagement shoot and that was eventful to say the least! From crazy storms, bugs, and random people taking our champagne Maria laughed with us and kept us at ease the entire time! Our pictures came out beautiful!!
Now to the wedding! It was rainy, windy and freezing for a May wedding! She rolled with all the punches of that day and her ability to the best lighting or angle in any setting was amazing!! She has that artistic eye! I LOVED our sneak peek photos! I can’t stop looking at them. I can't wait to see all our pictures!!!

I met with Maria a year and half before our wedding and she showed me her work. At the end I immediately said yes (without even asking my now husband lol) Maria is extremely professional and patient. With purchasing a wedding package, your engagement photos are included which I've never seen before and that is definitely an awesome thing. On our wedding day we loved how assertive and to the point Maria was with getting the right people for the photos. After all the photos before the wedding you didn't even know Maria was there but she for sure kept taking great photos. My husband and I can't wait to book future sessions (maternity and newborn) when the time comes. I highly recommend Maria and you will not be disappointed. I mean come on... have you seen her beautiful work? -

We were traveling 6 hours to our wedding destination so finding the perfect photographer was giving a lot to fate. I was researching instagrams and blogs looking for a feeling. When I saw Maria’s pictures I felt like I could feel the emotions of the couples and families.
We met on a zoom call and instantly felt she would make us feel special. She was never hard to get ahold of. Through email or text she kept in touch during the process and had an organized timeline for day of. My beach wedding plan was scrapped because of rain but looking at the photos you’d never know there was a set back.

Gorgeous Cape May Beach Ceremony
I was looking for a Cape May wedding photographer to shoot a very small and intimate wedding on the beach. The ceremony was about 20 minutes and Maria shot photos with us over by our bed and breakfast and as we walked over to the beach at first. She captured every moment and took many candid photos during and after the ceremony as I asked and hoped for! After the ceremony, she took photos of my small group and in smaller groupings I made a list for and shes was also open to improv on the spot requests as well (eg. I started dancing in my dress and she captured all the movements) and was very fun to shoot with! She captured beautiful shots of the ocean and then took us up higher on the sand for more personalized sunset photos. We have a variety of photographs we are more than happy with. Maria is a talented professional with passion for what she does and it was a pleasure having her shoot photographs for us on our special day! -

Wonderful to Work With!
Maria has been an absolute pleasure to work with! I reached out to have Maria in the Fall of 2019 to help capture my surprise proposal on the beach in Avalon, NJ. We were so happy with how the photos came out and how responsive Maria was, that we knew we wanted to work with her again. We went on to have her capture our engagement session, backyard wedding in September 2020, and now wedding reception in May 2021. At each session, Maria was always prompt and prepared. She has a great eye for photo spots and gave us easy directions on how to pose. The one thing that we always appreciated was how quickly Maria was able to get our photos back to us, and the amount of amazing shots that were included in the full gallery. It was great getting those "sneak peaks" within a few hours of the shoot so that we could share the images with our friends and family. We also appreciate Maria's attention to detail, as she would always be sure to capture intricate things like our rings, decor, flowers, etc. We definitely enjoyed working with Maria to capture our story! -

New Jersey Wedding Photographer
Maria was the absolute best wedding photographer we could have asked for!!! From the first time I talked to her over the phone I knew I did not need to look any further. We instantly connected and she wants to do what you want (which is important)! With the pandemic she was extremely accommodating from the start. We had to reschedule our engagement session first and a few weeks later we had to reschedule our wedding. When planning a new date for our wedding Maria completely worked around her schedule to help give us the date we wanted! Maria helped us from the beginning to the end with our timeline. Her professional opinion was more than appreciated. We got Married in Holgate Long Beach Island, New Jersey. Maria helped us pick a time when the lighting would be perfect and the images she capture are out of this world. When I view our gallery I cry every time and feel like I am reliving my special day. My fiance and I got engaged in Ocean City, NJ and we were looking for a photographer to do a beach engagement session and we came across Maria. She was extremely responsive and helpful, suggesting everything from outfits to location (we ended up at Seacliff Beach- excellent suggestion by Maria as it was quiet during Labor Day weekend when we did our session- and the 14th Street Pier). Maria was very flexible as we ended up changing dates due to Covid-19, and even suggested back up dates in case it rained. She was one of the more affordable photographers in the area as well. We were thrilled with how our photos came out. Maria was extremely professional during our session and made it fun and relaxing. She knew exactly how to help us pose and how to position us for the best lighting. Maria had super creative ideas, such as one picture she took of my engagement ring on two seashells. She captured an excellent variety of shots during our session- posing us in the sand dunes, in the waves, under the pier, in the sunset, and in a lifeguard stand- which gave us many great options to choose from! She was enjoyable to talk to and we had a great time during our session. We could not have been happier with Maria and highly recommend! We will definitely be contacting her for future photography sessions! -

Matt and I met Maria in the early summer of 2018 when planning our wedding. At that time, we were looking for a photographer to do our engagement photos, as well as family photos on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey. When we met Maria, we instantly hit it off! She brought some of her merchandise and sample works of art to show us the endless possibilities to capture our love for one another and our family. From day one, she was very accomodating and easy to work with, especially with our inquiry to split up our engagement photo shoots into two separate locations and days (Ocean City, New Jersey & Philadelphia, PA). Not to mention, her photography services are set an affordable rate to was within our budget!
We had perfect weather for our family and engagement photo shoots on the beach. She kept everything moving smoothly to ensure we had the perfect lighting and backdrop. Our engagement photos required a few outfit changes on my end, but Maria did not let that interrupt her flow throughout the photo shoot! We even got her to ride a bicycle on the boardwalk to travel to another location to change scenery. All of the family and beach engagement photos turned out amazing! Our photos became many Christmas cards for that year and are still be hung around our homes to reminisce on that special day!
Maria met us in October of 2018 at Race Street Pier in Philadelphia, PA to capture some additional engagement photos by the Delaware River. Matt and I originally met through mutual friends in Philadelphia back in 2014, so it was important to us to get some engagement photos in our old stomping grounds. Maria was able to coordinate this photo shoot on her travel back from another wedding in Pennsylvania, so it was a perfect spot for her to stretch her legs and get some fresh air from the long car ride. She found creative ways to utilize the waterfront promenade and the soaring bridge views to enhance our engagement photos. We loved introducing Maria to this spot, as I am sure she will revisit it to take more photos in the future!
Maria was efficient and excellent in her organization and communication leading up to our wedding day, as well as providing so many helpful suggestions throughout the photography planning. Leading up to the day, she assisted me to form a precise timeline to ensure all the details shots and getting ready moments were captured! Luckily, the bridal suites were located on the same floor and only a few doors apart, so it was easy for Maria to travel back and forth without an issue. She traveled with us to and from the venue and church to photograph all the special moments to our big day! The photos she edited and provided for our wedding exceeded our expectations and then some — they were nothing short of STUNNING. Our family and friends cannot stop complimenting us on how many beautiful photos we have to remember all the love that was shared at our wedding!
After all the celebration and party is over, Maria continued to check in to see how the married life was treating us! Her delivery of our gallery was expedient and flawless within 3 short weeks from the wedding day! About a week later, we received a ‘thank you’ care package from Maria containing a framed photo, personalized usb for our photo printing needs and a Christmas ornament! Maria really goes over and above your expectations for a photographer! If you are looking for a kind, caring and passionate photographer for your wedding, couple or family photo needs, Maria Keegan should be your first choice!

Absolutely amazing!
Maria is the absolute best! I am so glad we were referred to her for our wedding. She was so easy to work with and we could not be happier with our choice. Our wedding got very muddy but that did not stop her from smiling and laughing with us. She captured everything i ever wanted and more in our photos and i can never thank her enough. ❤ -

I'm not always comfortable with having my photo taken but from our initial meeting, she had this warmth about her that made me feel so at ease and confident that we hired the right person to capture those special moments from our wedding. Her fun personality also lends to relaxing you for a more natural, real feel moment as seen in the the pictures. So far, we've only seen the photos I've attached but I cannot wait to see what else she's captured of our day! We planned a surprise wedding and her help, advice, and confidence was immeasurable. The event went off without a hitch and we were receiving compliments about Maria from our family and guests without even seeing a single picture. But once we did see those pictures.....OH MY GOODNESS! She nailed every moment and we had so much fun while doing it! We booked Maria to do our wedding photography based on the referral of some friends that had used her for family photos. We met with her for engagement photos, so we could all get to know each other a little better before our big day. I could immediately tell that Maria had “an eye” for unique and special touches, based on the various settings she chose and ideas she incorporated into our pictures. We loved her work immediately. If you are looking for someone to capture your memories perfectly and naturally (not with “staged” shots), then look no further. Maria recently photographed our evening wedding in November, and was able to work with the setting and lighting to capture our day beautifully. She became familiar with both our church setting and our venue, and immediately located unique settings to capture amazing photos. She’s extremely talented, easy to work with, and very professional. We look forward to using her for family photos in the near future.
