Beautiful space and perfect size for our wedding! Love the old brick and the character of the building, and the outdoor courtyard for cocktail hour. It fit our style perfectly and brought so much warmth to the experience! A little over 100 guests in attendance, everyone fit perfectly without having too much empty space or being crammed in. Parking onsite was a huge plus! Close to nearby bars for after parties and rehearsal dinners. Great food and drinks. Also super sweet that Mulino restaurant is attached to the venue so we can go back to our wedding venue for anniversaries, date nights, etc. Only thing to consider is there is not an onsite space for getting ready, and no elevator to get up to the ceremony/reception space, but neither posed any issue for us. We had a blast! -

My wife Charlotte and I could not have been happier with our choice to get married at Melrose. It is a beautiful venue with exposed brick and as a bonus, you get the Mulino restaurant courtyard for your cocktail hour which has a pool in the middle to add to the ambiance. Nicole was our day-of coordinator and she was amazing. Everything was organized so well and the food was incredible too. My family and friends all told me how much they loved the wedding. Even the parking lot is so convenient to have in downtown Raleigh. I highly recommend. -

We loved every moment of working the MKM team. Erika G was our Day of Coordinator and we highly recommend her! Anytime we needed a member of the MKM team, someone was available, including our requests to visit the venue as we got closer to our wedding and really needed visuals to help inform our decisions. Our wedding day was an absolute dream. The MKM team, Erika, and Jessica helped bring our vision together in a way that exceeded our expectations - every detail was considered. We had no worries! As a type A, eldest daughter, it was such a relief to have a team that wanted us (me) to relax, give control to amazing professionals and enjoy myself. 10/10 recommend!

We could not be happier with our experience at Melrose Knitting Mill. From the very first tour, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. The venue is absolutely gorgeous—the exposed brick and chandeliers created such a romantic backdrop that we really didn’t need to bring in much décor at all. It was so special to let the natural beauty of the space shine, and our guests are still talking about how stunning it was.
Cocktail hour in the Mulino's courtyard was another favorite part of the day. The greenery and reflecting pool made it feel magical, and we loved that there was also an indoor option in case of rain. Guests enjoyed moving between the spaces, and it created such a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
It was also such a relief having everything in one place. The food from Mulino's was amazing—our guests raved about it—and the staff made the whole planning process so easy. Our coordinators were wonderful to work with and made sure everything went smoothly, which allowed us to truly enjoy the day.
Choosing Melrose Knitting Mill was one of the best decisions we made, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to any couple looking for a beautiful, seamless, and unforgettable wedding venue. -

We had our wedding at Melrose Knitting Mill with Southern Oak Events, and it was truly the perfect venue! The location in downtown Raleigh is not only gorgeous but also so convenient for all of our guests, with plenty of options for accommodations, restaurants, and activities. Cocktail hour at Mulino was absolutely perfect, and we received so many compliments from our guests on the food! The hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and late night pizza were all delicious and such a highlight of the night. From start to finish, the entire Melrose & Southern Oak team was wonderful to work with.
A huge part of our amazing experience was thanks to Nicole, our day-of coordinator and main point of contact throughout the planning process. From the day we toured the venue all the way to our wedding day, she was kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she answered my many questions, kept everything organized, and made sure all vendors had the timelines and details they needed.
On the day of our rehearsal and wedding, Nicole was absolutely phenomenal. She kept everything running smoothly, handled all of the details behind the scenes, and made sure we could just relax and enjoy the day. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her!
If you’re looking for a stunning venue in Raleigh with a professional, attentive team behind it, I couldn’t recommend Melrose Knitting Mill and Southern Oak Events enough. And if you get the chance to work with Nicole, you’ll be in the very best hands! -

Perfect Reception!!
South Oak Events ensured we had the perfect reception at the Melrose! We did not have to stress about anything at all and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Budget friendly, super responsive, and the whole staff was amazing! I’m so glad we chose to work with them!! -

We had our wedding at Melrose Knitting Mill in May 2025 and could not have asked for a better venue.
The venue, in and of itself, is absolutely gorgeous! We kept our florals and decorations to a minimum, because we really wanted to allow the beauty of the room speak for itself and it did! Allllll the windows and chandeliers and drapery - WOW!
It was very easy to drop everything off at the venue beforehand and they were SO accommodating with our different requests.
Food. Was. AMAZING! And all of our guests commented on how delicious everything was at both cocktail hour and for dinner.
I cannot think of one negative thing to say. We had an absolutely amazing experience with Melrose Knitting Mill and cannot recommend it enough!!! -

We toured only one venue while planning and we were immediately sold the moment we were on-site. Melrose was that venue! The space, the location, the staff, the views, the food, and everything in between was absolutely perfect. We could not have asked for a better venue or a better team to handle our special day. We would recommend this venue and team to anyone looking to get married in Downtown Raleigh. You really cannot go wrong here. Everything was AMAZING! -

We recently got married here and it was such a wonderful experience. The amount of compliments we got on the food alone was crazy! The staff was such a joy - everyone was in good spirits and very kind to our guests. All the wait staff took great care of the tables, we had many people available to provide us with food and drink. Bar staff was so friendly - I asked for a specific drink and they happily made it for me. The chef was able to navigate some difficult food allergies. We had a wonderful time and our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have been to! -

Our first and only choice for wedding venue was Melrose Knitting Mill. One of our first dates was at the restaurant (Mulino) downstairs, so the location held a very special place in our hearts. Everything about Melrose was perfect - the location, the atmosphere, the catering, and the full staff. You could tell they were experienced in handling weddings and all of the details involved, without ever feeling like you were on some sort of bridal assembly line. Every moment of the day was beautiful and we are so thankful we could work with Jessica and her teams to pull off the big day. Five stars, A+, no notes. We recommend them fully. -

Our experience with Southern Oak Events at Melrose Knitting Mill was incredible from the start. Firstly, you simply cannot get better than Erika, our wedding planner. She is the most organized and professional person I’ve ever worked with in the wedding industry - always answers your questions in a way that makes you feel seen and heard, cares about every single detail of your wedding, and is simply just a wonderful person to work with in general. Talking with Erika feels like talking with a very close friend. She will make your wedding day so special, and she pays attention to every detail, there were so many things I didn’t even think about until she mentioned them to me! She is so thorough, and makes sure all bases are covered. On our wedding day, she was on top of literally everything (and I frankly don’t know how she does it). From bringing my flowers to the park for me for pictures, to making sure every minor detail is accounted for during the ceremony and reception.
Melrose Knitting Mill was a wonderful place to get married. They make everything an enjoyable experience from the start. We had an amazing tasting night where we got to try the food and wine, and used it as an excuse for a fun date night. The venue was perfect, with a beautiful, rustic, Mediterranean feel. The ceremony space is peaceful and private, with no need to worry about the weather (a major plus). The staff was so friendly and kind throughout the entire experience. The ambiance downstairs during the cocktail hour was stunning, and the service was great. And don’t even get me started on the food for dinner. My guests were talking about how amazing the food with for weeks after, especially the macaroni. Our guests said that the food here was the best they’ve ever had at a wedding. Overall, we would highlight recommend both Southern Oak Events and Melrose Knitting Mill!! -

The Melrose was an amazing choice for a wedding reception venue. First off, Southern Oak was fabulous since they are involved with the Melrose. Second, I heard the waitstaff was amazing all evening, and the food superb. I was incredibly amazed with how well the steaks were cooked despite them being the most requested meal. I also loved how the venue shown and glittered. I am truly in awe of how beautiful the space was. -

This venue is by far the best one out there. It is absolutely STUNNING. The brick walls, chandeliers, beautiful drapes- all of it, just beautiful.
The staff was so wonderful, kind, and attentive. Every bartender and server was delightful (special shout out to Susanna and Sarah! You made my mom, the mother of the bride, feel like a million bucks! And that cooling towel for my husband was clutch!) They ensured every guest was happy throughout the entire evening.
The food was outstanding - highlights were the chicken and waffle appetizer, Mac and cheese, and prime rib! But honestly compliments to the chef on every item!! -

Choosing Melrose Knitting Mill for our wedding was one of the best decisions we've ever made. It has been three months since the wedding and I still can't get over how amazing and beautiful the whole day was.
The space was beyond amazing. It is the best combination of intimate, full of charm and character, and all while being sophisticated but not stuffy. The space itself is so beautiful you don't really need to over-do the decor because there is such amazing natural light, exposed brick, hardwood floors and glimmering chandeliers.
Southern Oak Events is the planner for MKM and they are absolutely incredible through the whole process. We worked with Jessica specifically and she was the most professional and fun and knowledgeable coordinator we could have ever asked for. She made the planning process so easy and painless for us.
I love the food at Mulino so I was thrilled when I found out it's the same kitchen. The food at our wedding was everything I hoped for and more. From the hors d'oeurves to the entrees, everything was delicious and perfectly timed. For hors d'oeurves, our guests went crazy for the chicken and waffles and the grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters. It was such a fun hit.
The entire staff from bartenders to waiters was incredible. They were attentive, quick and professional.
I cannot think of a single thing that I would change about our wedding. Even all this time later, people are still telling me that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I feel so fortunate we went with Melrose! -

Obsessed with Melrose Knitting Mill!
Melrose Knitting Mill is such a great venue. Right in the heart of downtown Raleigh, close to so many hotels, and the most gorgeous event space. My husband and I held our wedding ceremony and reception at Melrose in 2022 and we are still getting so many compliments on our food, service, and venue a year later. One of the best things about Melrose is that the food, drinks, service, and setup are all part of various packages you can get. It makes wedding planning so easy to not have to source all of those things separately. Melrose is a gorgeous space so you don’t even need to go crazy on decorations, we just did florals and drapes and it was perfect! The space decorates itself with the chandeliers and exposed brick. The food is amazing & you can pick from so many beers and various grades of liquor to serve on your night. There is also an option to do a signature cocktail which was a huge hit at our wedding. The staff are so friendly and attentive, they accommodated all dietary restrictions and made sure everyone got what they needed. The space works so well for hosting your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in once place and the staff turns the space over so quickly so that there is no wait in between each part of the wedding. The space has so many great spots for photos- outside and inside. There is also enough space to guarantee a contingency plan for any inclement weather, heat included. It was super hot and rainy on parts of our wedding day and it was hardly even noticeable because the cocktail hour was seamlessly moved indoors. None of our guests even realized that cocktail hour was supposed to be outdoors and they loved the Mulino space. I would recommend Melrose to anyone who is planning their wedding in Raleigh. I can’t stress enough how much our guests continue to compliment our wedding venue & the amazing food and service. I wish I could take credit for that, but it is all thanks to Melrose, Mulino, and Southern Oak Events! If you want to plan a stress free and gorgeous wedding, I beg you to go with Melrose! We loved having our wedding at Melrose. The team provided top-notch service and was so accommodating. They truly ensured we and our guests had the most amazing experience.
When you book your wedding at Melrose you also work directly with Souther Oak Events. We worked with Erika for our big day and she was amazing. She ensured our event was everything we imagined and expertly managed our wedding day so that we could have a stress free day and enjoy the experience.
Catering and alcohol is provided through Melrose and Mulino's. Our food was incredible and our guests raved about it and the drinks. Our guests were greeted with our selected cocktail during our cocktail hour and the service during our reception was great. My husband and I felt like royalty on our wedding day because the staff was constantly checking on us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Neither of us had an empty glass the entire night and never even needed to go to the bar. Our guests complimented the service after our event as well.
On top of the amazing service and food, the venue is so beautiful and well-maintained and in such a great location in Downtown Raleigh. The cocktail area outside around the pool was so cool and the only venue downtown that offers a space like this. The historic feel of the knitting mill is so charming and we loved that all the chairs and tables for the space were included in the rental package. We wanted to get married downtown Raleigh so our guests could have a true Raleigh experience. Our guests stayed at Longleaf across the street and were able to walk to Glenwood and to the Longleaf Lounge for afterparty fun.
Highly recommend having your wedding or other event at Melrose. They provide the best value for your experience. You will not regret it! -

Great overall experience
We loved this space to have our wedding in, and Erika was such a joy to work with! She was very professional and detailed leading up to our wedding. On the day of the wedding she was very calm under pressure, great and anticipating our needs, extremely organized and lovely to our guests. The venue space is beautiful and needs very little decoration, as the space is already luxe as is. Would highly recommend this group for any events! -

My husband and I ate dinner at Mulino's Italian Kitchen the night before we got engaged. Something I of course had no idea was happening. While at dinner we realized there was a wedding going on upstairs and asked our server about it. She told us the name of the venue was Melrose Knitting Mill and I immediately looked it up online and fell in love! I told my then boyfriend that this is where I wanted to get married having no idea he was planning on proposing the very next day.
We toured one other location but I knew in my head, this was the spot for us. I am a COVID bride and was put through the ringer 3 years ago when everything hit! I had to cancel my wedding 2 weeks before our scheduled date. We got married in our backyard but we ended up rescheduling our reception 4 times - YES 4 TIMES! Between being optimistic that COVID would pass in 2020 to the realization that we needed to push it much further down the road, then getting pregnant and not wanting to finally have our day while preggers...Jessica at Southern Oak Events and the owner of Melrose both had so much patience with me and graciously allowed us to move our date countless times with virtually no penalty. We finally had our PERFECT wedding in April 2023. Even after the restaurant downstairs caught fire 2 weeks before the wedding, Jessica and Melrose made sure that everything went off without a hitch! The venue was beautiful, the staff was great and the food was AMAZING! I cannot recommend this location enough!!! -

I could not recommend Melrose Knitting Mill more. It is the perfect balance between industrial and modern, and the venue itself is GORGEOUS. The natural lighting really set the scene, and you really don't need much extra decoration to make the place beautiful. All the guests were giving compliments on how amazing everything looked and how everything just flowed in the room. I love love loved this venue and I wish I could do it all over again -

We had our wedding at Melrose Knitting Mill on September 4th, 2022 and it was fabulous! We fell in love with the urban-chic feel of the place after touring it....the exposed brick, the big windows, the chandeliers - what's not to love! Our guests loved how conveniently located the venue is to the airport and nearby hotels (also has a small parking lot which is rare for a downtown venue), as well as being able to go straight downtown after the reception! The Melrose management/coordination team is great - they definitely know what they're doing. The staff at Mulino is also very professional. The only thing I would say is we had discussed with our coordinator that we would have guests come up to the cake table to get their cake slice of choice since we had different flavors, which we told our friends and family we'd be doing, however we heard later that the staff wasn't letting people come get a slice themselves and instead insisted on bringing guests the cake themselves, which resulted in people getting cake flavors they didn't prefer (if we knew that was going to happen, we would have gotten one flavor). Other than that communication snafu, venue was perfect and would TOTALLY recommend! -

My wedding was in July 2022. I immediately fell in love with the venue when I saw it. It’s naturally beautiful and doesn’t really need much additional décor. It also allows you to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the same location, but in different spaces, which significantly simplifies the planning process. We opted for the full wedding planner package with Erika. Erika was very friendly, accessible, and had excellent communication throughout the entire process. She took care of everything from connecting us with fantastic vendors, to designing the invitations, to setting up all of the decorations, and we are extremely happy with how everything turned out. Additionally, the venue provided incredible food through Mulino’s catering. The entire staff was very professional and helped the whole planning process and wedding day to run smoothly. We are very happy with how everything turned out and would highly recommend this venue! -

Jessica was literally the best! And I mean literally! She was on top of it all, and kept us up to date either with follow ups or what is needed from us. We loved having our wedding at Melrose Knitting Mill. The venue itself is romantic and did not require much additional décor. The staff there were all great to work with and the food/drinks were great! We only had about 75 people at our wedding and it never felt too large, but I think you could easily fit another 30-50 people if you wanted to. -

I absolutely loved this venue, and all that was included with it. The ceremony space was gorgeous, and I loved that the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all on the property, but in different spaces. The cocktail hour space was wonderful for the winter because it had the feel of being outside, but with a clear heated tent that kept my guests warm. I knew I wanted my wedding at this venue as soon as I toured it, and it only exceeded my expectations from there. -

I loved Melrose Knitting Mill from the moment I saw it and am so happy to have had my wedding there. Not only is it gorgeous, but the food was also amazing and the staff was wonderful to work with. Throughout the pandemic, a postponement, and date change, the in-house event team was responsive, attentive, and truly made me feel like my day was a priority. Cocktail hour was a HIT outside in the courtyard and my only regret is I wish we got to stay down there longer! I was concerned about the stairs for elderly guests at first, but that wasn't an issue at all and everyone was patient allowing people to take their time walking up to the ceremony. I highly recommend Melrose Knitting Mill for your big day! I cannot say enough about it. -

Melrose Knitting Mill is an incredibly gorgeous wedding venue in downtown Raleigh and we had an overall great experience for our August 2021 wedding. We were originally set to get married there in April 2020 and had to postpone twice due to COVID. Melrose was fantastic to work with during the pandemic and they were so understanding and supportive. Because the venue is so stunning on it's own, you really do not need to do much to decorate which is a huge plus, and it's so convenient to be able to have the ceremony and reception in the same place with the cocktail hour close by in the downstairs courtyard. The catering is required to be done through Melrose but that was fine as it was one less vendor to find and the food was great - we got several compliments from guests. My only complaint is that although it is an indoor venue, the air conditioning did not seem to be functioning correctly, as it was uncomfortably hot in the venue during dinner and the reception. -

Melrose Knitting Mill was the perfect venue for our daughter’s dream wedding! Planning a wedding can be stressful-planning a wedding during a pandemic is just a full challenge! Jessica and the staff of Melrose went above and beyond to ease our concerns and come up with the best plans to give everyone a safe, enjoyable and truly memorable day. My daughter also had her portraits done there and Jessica made sure everything was right on schedule. The evening of the reception was just magical! Our guests were so relaxed and at ease with everything and were warmly greeted with an amazing cocktail hour. The dinner was right on schedule and the food was fabulous-they met every special request we had; the servers were so professional and accommodating and everything was just beautiful. If you are looking for the perfect venue for a truly memorable occasion, then Melrose Knitting Mill is the only choice! They simply are the best!! -

Wish I could do it all over again!
I got married at Melrose Knitting Mill in October of 2020 and started the process back in February (yes, pre-COVID). From the moment my fiance and I toured Melrose, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married immediately! Once we booked, we were connected with Blake Morrin as our coordinator, and who I would soon learn to be a great friend and an absolute lifesaver! As everyone knows, COVID rocked our world and countless weddings have been postponed or canceled. Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, it was clear to us that it would still be around for our wedding. It was an extremely challenging time trying to plan our wedding with all of the uncertainty but with the HUGE help of Blake (and Phase 3), we were able to have the wedding of our dreams! They were so accomodating and even thought of a Plan B for us if we were unable to have our wedding as originally planned. Blake was always there for me day and night, no matter the number of questions I had, and was the most accomodating, helpful, diligent, and hardworking coordinator I could have ever wished for. She, as I said before, was truly my lifesaver during this process and helped keep me calm, excited, and took care of so many things for me. Our wedding day was the best day of my life and it went SO smoothly! Blake was there for me throughout the entire day, not only running the show and making sure things were going to plan/on schedule but always checking on me and making sure my husband and I were doing well and enjoying the day! We have talked so much about how the entire staff at Melrose made us feel so cared for that day, and everyone was so kind and attentive to us and our guests. I cannot say thank you enough to Blake for the long phone calls, late-night texts, and everything in between of last-minute planning thoughts and questions. I cannot recommend Melrose Knitting Mill, Southern Oak Events (especially Blake), and the entire staff that made our big day happen enough!!! In addition, the food was amazing and our guests were raving about it all night!! And yes, the space is as stunning as it looks in pictures, it does not disappoint at all and it definitely made me cry a few times! -

So beautiful!
We got married at Melrose on July 27,2019. It was beyond dreamy and beautiful. We had to get married in the summer and wanted somewhere where we could have the ceremony inside. Melrose was perfect because during the room flip everyone went to the cocktail area downstairs while they flipped the room! The staff was efficient and kind (and kept our glasses filled all night!!). The food was INCREDIBLE. So fresh since it comes from the restaurant downstairs. We absolutely loved it and had a wonderful time! -

Melrose Knitting Mill was the perfect venue for our big day! First of all they come with a group of extremely talented and kind planners that are there with advice, help and organization throughout the entire planning process. Should out to Sarah for being the best! :) The venue itself is so beautiful and historic, you really don't have to do much to make it gorgeous. Also the food and catering staff are amazing, we had so many compliments on how smoothly everything ran and how delicious all the food was. Overall this truly was the best day of our lives and Melrose made it so! -

Beautiful Experience
The venue alone is beautiful enough to make your wedding day unforgettable for you and your guests, but the staff, food and day-of coordinators are even better. Everything for our wedding day went off without a hitch. Our coordinator Sarah made sure every little detail was taken care of and we were able to celebrate with our family and friends without a worry. It was the best day we could have ever asked for! Melrose Knitting Mill was the first AND only venue that we toured! It had everything that we had dreamed of for our wedding. From the modern-industrial look, to the romantic draping and cocktail hour space, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. Then, we met our wedding planner, Blake Morrin.
Blake and the team at Melrose Knitting Mill and Southern Oak Events were beyond our expectations. From the beginning, Blake was someone that I knew I could trust throughout this entire planning process. Even months before our big day, I would text or email her questions and she was quick to reply with a positive, energetic response! They were extremely accommodating with any changes that were made and Blake became a real life super hero when we had to quickly find new photographers with just 48 hours until the wedding day!
Melrose Knitting Mill was our dream wedding venue and they were able to take our wedding dreams and turn them into a reality. Highly recommend using their services and our guests raved about the food, drinks, wait staff and the overall experience of our wedding. We cannot thank the team and all who helped make our day happen enough! -

My wedding was at Melrose Knitting Mill and planned by Sarah Skrobialowski. Sarah was incredible to work with and paid attention to every small detail. She worked very hard, was extremely organized, and the wedding went perfectly. She took the time to call every vendor and ensure they were prepared. On the wedding day, she had everything prepared exactly as planned. It was clear she took a lot of pride in her work and left no stone unturned. The venue was beautiful and we got many compliments from our guests. It was a great all around experience. I would highly recommend Sarah and Melrose. -

Nothing but Wonderful Things to Say!
I toured 10 wedding venues when trying to make a decision and Melrose Knitting Mill was the only venue that took my breath away. I was instantly in love with MKM due to its beauty and charm with the brick, exposed wood, and natural light. But beyond just the venue's beauty, the experience there was something I will never forget. The staff was impeccable and ensured that everything ran smoothly the entire evening. The food (catered by the downstairs restaurant Mulino) was phenomenal (and who says that about wedding food?!). We had the plated dinner and everyone raved about how great of a meal it was (multiple, multiple good reviews on the stuffed chicken although I didn't have it). The bartenders were over-the-top wonderful! We had 15 tables and the dance floor was a great size (never too crowded but also never empty looking). Melrose seriously exceeded all of our expectations. It was really the best night of our lives. -

Sarah Skrobialowski is freaking amazing. She just had a baby and yet she was there 2 weeks later, helping me plan the best wedding ever imaginable. She is the master cat herder who wrangled strong personalities, the silent ninja who put out and put away all the decorations, the precise planner who wrote a 7 page timeline that kept 120 people moving at the right pace, all the meanwhile staying cool and collected. The space was also a DREAM. Even people who are notorious for being hard to please had their jaws drop when they walked in. Please please do yourself a favor and go with Melrose, it is the most painless and beautiful venue we could have hoped for -

We LOVED this venue! However it was slightly out of our budget! If we had a slightly larger budget we most definitely would have gone with Melrose! It’s about $5000 to rent the venue with alcohol fees at $30/pp and buffet dinner starting at $58/pp. If you have the money I would definitely consider this venue for any couple in the Raleigh/Durham area! -

Honestly, everything was so perfect on our special day and I know it was because of Blake. She went above and beyond a "day of coordinator" by always being available for any questions, and even attended appointments with me! She has a crazy eye for detail, and really knows timing which allowed our day to run flawlessly. The best part of the entire event was how much fun my parents and grandparents had though! Blake really took care of them by making sure all dietary restrictions were accommodated and a drink was always in their hand! My dad (who is especially hard to please) even said that it was THE BEST wedding and told me how much fun he had. I was blown away.
Garrett and I will truly always remember our special day, and really are so appreciative of Blake for all that she did to make it so great. -

My husband and I recently got married at The Melrose and it was absolutely incredible! Both our ceremony and reception took place in this beautiful venue and we were never disappointed. It was perfect.
We worked with Blake, our coordinating genius who made sure everything stayed on track throughout the night. She was extremely reliable and ready with solutions to anything that came up amiss. Even before the big day, her down to Earth personality always made me feel relaxed and reminded me that everything would turn out just fine.
The food was fantastic too! The mac and cheese in particular is to die for—our guests are still telling us how good it was!
And of course the evening couldn’t have been executed so well without the amazing staff. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating with anything that we needed. I truly couldn’t have envisioned a more perfect night! THANK YOU! -

I cannot say enough positive things about Melrose Knitting Mill. The day my then-fiance found it online, I knew I wanted to get married there, and I was never disappointed throughout the process! The venue is truly breathtaking with its exposed brick walls, hardwood floors and gorgeous chandeliers (which can be dimmed later in the night for dancing - a feature I loved). We had our cocktail hour downstairs in the "Hanging Gardens" (essentially the exterior area of the restaurant Mulino, while the restaurant was closed). Guests loved the change in venue from the cocktail hour to the reception. There was plenty of room in the venue for our 9-piece band and 135 guests. The bar area is beautiful, the included tables and chairs are elegant, and you do not need to spend a lot of extra money on decorations because the space is so beautiful! We were even able to have late night pizza and an "afterparty" at the bar at Mulino after our wedding, which was a super fun way to end the night! We worked with Jessica Tilton at Melrose for Day-Of Coordination, and she truly went above and beyond to make our day go smoothly and to make it a fun and relaxing experience for me and my husband (in addition to answering tons of my questions in the months leading up to the wedding). If you are considering Melrose, go ahead and book it, you won't be disappointed!! -

Let me start here. I am OBSESSED with our reception venue. It was the most perfect place and I couldn't have imagined celebrating our wedding anywhere else. From the moment we walked in to tour the space I knew this was the place we HAD to have our wedding reception. From the exposed brick to the wooden floors and gorgeous chandeliers that hung- this space oozed with a rustic chic elegance that I had not seen matched in any other space. The room was big, yet warm with the brick walls and windows lining the walls. When you use Melrose Knitting Mill your caterer is the restaurant below- Mulino which fantastic as well (and also- one less decision that was required to be made). Melrose Knitting Mill provided me with a list of their preferred vendors that I ended up using for almost all of the additional services we needed that day. The team running this venue has the experience a bride wants on her wedding day to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The space holds about 170 people and that is how many we invited with 136 (including us) attending the reception. Given the photo booth, amount of tables we had and the dance floor I would not go much over this number or it may feel a little crowded. We used the courtyard space below for our cocktail hour and it set the vibe for the evening that our guests loved. All in all, I have ZERO complaints about this Venue and it was the perfect ending to our day! -

Most guests made comments to us after our wedding about how amazing the service was and how dinner service was handled very professionally. My guests felt as though they were treated as well as the bride and groom on the big day. We also had guests tell us it was the best wedding food they've had! The servers were always on top of our drinks, we never had to go to the bar to get our own drinks all night. We were able to try the food with a special dinner at Mulino a couple of months before the wedding with wine selection as well. It was such a fun experience! *Also, I was so nervous before heading upstairs for the ceremony and the bar downstairs was so kind to me and got me juice and let me sit by the AC! They were so sweet!
