All I can say is... WOW. Melody is not just a DJ but a true performer and master of ceremonies. She kept the energy at our wedding amazingly high - worked with our requests whilst also improvising based on audience participation, and the dance floor was 100% packed the ENTIRE EVENT. Kids and adults alike had an absolute blast. I would get married to my husband all over again just to have her as our DJ. ❤️

Amanda was super easy to work with and very patient and helpful when getting all the timing and vibes picked out. There were so many details that we didn't initially think of that she got us through. The BEST of the best!
Melody understood us as a couple right off the bat with all of our music choices. She took what we filled out and filled it in through the entire day from the ceremony, to cocktail hour and the reception. Before the day even started she was checking on us with how we’re doing and feeling.
The music timing was perfect for our ceremony as well as our officiant being mic’d up. Nothing was too loud or too quiet. When we had our in person meeting she took us step by step of what we wanted the timing to be for each song.
Through the entire reception she was checking in with us about the flow of the music and if there was anything missing. Our biggest want was the mixing and blend of the music for dancing. We didn’t it want to sound like we were just playing a Spotify playlist. It’s literally sounded like we were at a festival! We were so impressed with how she mixed and blended all of the songs.
Her presence was calming and confident to where we knew we had nothing to worry about. We both jokingly said she was our second wedding planner for the day!
We consider ourselves so lucky to of had her for our special day. We cannot recommend Melody and her team at Melody & Co. Entertainment enough! 💙🏳️🌈

Amazing energy and professionalism
Dj Melody was exactly what we hoped for in a DJ from the first communication all the way through the party. She was kind, responsive, prepared, and so easy to work with. She made sure the music and the energy was exactly right throughout the party, and we got so many complements from guests! Danny ran the photo booth and it was so fun and easy for guests! They received printouts as well as digital versions and we got a digital version of the entire collection from the night! Simply the BEST!
Melody was the best from beginning to end. Our first meeting gave us extreme confidence that she could deliver the upbeat, throwback, American/German mixed experience we were hoping for! She custom mixed the perfect songs for our choreographed dances and even made a custom last song to give the exact energy we were looking for. During cocktail hour and dinner we wanted a more “moody” feel and she checked in on the volume and feel of the music. She also stopped by earlier in the day to let us know she was here if we needed anything. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ who truly made an environment and dance floor experience all of our guests continue to rave about!

Such a great experience. Great communication from the start and reminders periodically throughout the planning process to keep us up to date and on track.
We got to meet over google meets several times before our event to ensure everything would go seamlessly. They’re a great team with lots of experience and were able to help me plan some of my night out (this was my first big gathering/wedding party, so I had a lot of questions).
Amanda was our DJ and made the night so easy and endlessly fun. She helped us navigate the night by announcing dinner, cake, toasts and open dance floor. She kept the vibes going the entire time and has a great grasp on what to play when to get your group up and dancing. I can’t recommend Amanda and this team enough!

Awesome and attentive DJ!
Melody and Company Entertainment was great! Melody herself DJ'd our wedding on January 4th, 2025. Well before our wedding, we were able to meet with Melody's assistant, Amanda, who helped us work out the details of what would be required on our wedding day. We were able to meet with Melody twice, once online and once in-person, to help smooth out the details of our wedding day. She was very flexible and available for this. She not only served as our DJ, but was attentive to what my husband and I needed on the day of our wedding, asking if we needed anything and frequently checking in with us. We had a few song requests that we set prior to the wedding reception, and if she did not see us on the dance floor she made sure to come and find me and my husband before playing the songs that we had requested. We also got the photo booth through Melody and Co and all our guests loved it! The photo booth attendant was very attentive and friendly! If you are not only looking for a DJ but also someone who genuinely cares about your event and goes above and beyond to make it extraordinary and unique to you as a couple, I definitely recommend Melody and Co! Not to mention our dance floor was popping for three whole hours!

Wedding dj does it all
My Husband and I were so nervous about the day that we just wanted to focus on soaking it all in. We hired DJ Melody service to be our DJ and were super excited to get DJ Melody herself! When I tell you, she was super professional and exceeded our expectations?! She was all our guest could talk about afterwards. She played music we requested prior to our meeting and even took guest request. She got so involved with our guest that she even lead line dances and taught a few which was a big hit! She even checked on my husband and I the whole night to make sure we were ok. She really helped with the nerves and made the whole wedding flow. If you want a Dj that knows how to do their job and can read the room very well, HIRE HER ASAP! I will always want her to be my DJ from now on!! She is worth every cent!!!

Most Amazing Person Ever!
I spent hours reading reviews on different websites, and one thing stuck out. NO ONE could find anything negative to say about Melody. I knew the role of DJ was important and refused to take a risk on anything less than perfection. And after talking to her, and even more so now after having worked with her, I can see why. She is perfection. Melody is the most prompt, attentive, responsive person to work with. She doesn't just do this for a job. She loves what she does and it shines through. Every step of the way she was there with ideas and suggestions, questions that made me think longer and harder and deeper about what I was doing and what my vision was for our reception. She expertly handled music (including some odd song requests) and the master of ceremonys role for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and she did everything with grace, wisdom, and sense of humor. I can say with 100% honesty that you will NEVER regret your choice going with Melody. Quite simply, she helped make my wedding and reception everything that I'd hoped for and wanted. (Oh, and my husband was really happy too!)
If you can't tell, we had an amazing experience with Melody & Co :-)
P.S. Get the Photo Booth package add on. Super happy I did it, and my guests are still raving about it! Shina was so much fun and the little book they give you of everyone's photos with their signing around them is a really cool extra keepsake that I hadn't anticipated.

The BEST DJ and Emcee
Melody & Company was amazing! Melody was our DJ/MC, and she had everyone on the dance floor! Our guests were having so much fun and didn't want the party to end. All the songs on the playlist were get-up-on-your-feet, and there was so much energy and magic. Melody, her music and entertainment were the perfect package. She was also so helpful in moving the evening along. She was able to stick to the itinerary and keep the party on schedule. Even when I had a last minute schedule change, she was able to move some scheduled events for a more cohesive flow. Amazing DJ!!
Melody was an absolutely amazing DJ! My husband, I and all of our guests were on the dance floor all night long! She played all of our requests and completely got the vibe we were going for throughout the whole wedding. She sent out an extensive questionnaire that helped capture our perfect wedding night! I enjoyed working with Melody and of course love a woman owned business :) couldn’t recommend her enough!

Melody is the best!
I seriously can’t say enough positive things about DJ Melody & Co and the huge impact Melody had on our wedding! We hired Melody over a year in advance of our event but during the entire time leading up to the event, if we needed anything, Melody was there. She was super open to our requests, likes / dislikes, and it was very obvious that she wanted to make sure that we had the event that we wanted! She even offered to help us choreograph our dance, which while we didn’t take her up on it (which we probably should’ve given how our dance went 😂), the offer meant a lot! We had a couple meetings during the final weeks before our wedding to walk through everything and I really appreciated that she took the time to do that. During the event, Melody was spot on with what music we wanted, had perfect intros and timing always, and the top thing our guests talked about was the wide array of music and how fun it was! As the night went in she often checked in with us and would even take on non strictly-DJ roles if we needed her. Melody truly goes above and beyond and made a huge positive impact on our day. I have already said that I need to host another big event just so I can hire Melody & Co. again!

The best dj
My husband and I hired Melody from Melody and Company Entertainment for our wedding and let me tell you, we knew she was the right DJ to hire from the start. As soon as I inquired about hiring her, she chose to talk things over on the phone. We quickly learned that she takes pride in her work and her company and loves what she does. That combined with her fun and bubbly personality, we knew we had to snatch her as our DJ before someone else did.
She has a very thorough DJ/music coordination sheets to go through and that I think filling it out was the most fun my husband and I had throughout our entire wedding planning process. This allowed her to get an idea of our taste in music, the vibe we were going for and she absolutely killed it! It's been three months since our wedding and our guests are still complimenting her. She'll be there for help and offer suggestions if needed as well!
She puts a lot of work to make sure you're happy with your choices and helped create the most perfect wedding for us. I talked to Melody after our wedding was over and even told her I'd miss working with her.
My husband and I are from out of state, but if we ever had any reason to hire a DJ in Virginia Beach ever again, it would 10000% be Melody! You won't regret it. Thank you for everything you did!

She worked out some stuff with the bride ahead of time and spent the rest of the night reading the room mixing traditional with the contemporary for the younger more today in the room. DJ Melody is the ABSOLUTE BEST! We hired Melody & Co. for my daughter's wedding on 4/29/23 and we are so glad we did. Melody is personable, knowledgeable, and her soothing voice and eneregy is absolutely contagious. There were so many fun moments during our reception but I think her song choice for the cake cutting was my absolute favorite - Cake by the Ocean. 10/10 hire Melody, you won't regret it!

DJ Amanda was incredible at our wedding! She effortlessly figured out what style of music we wanted during each portion of the wedding. Melody was our DJ for the reception, provided microphones and acoustics for the ceremony, and we purchased the photo booth package for the reception. Melody provided flawless entertainment for us and all of our guests; even when the power went out twice during our reception, Melody improvised and kept people dancing until the power came back. She is clearly experienced in the wedding business and continuously offered to get us anything we needed.
I have been to multiple weddings in the area, and Melody definitely sticks out as the best!

If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. Melody was beyond professional and relatable. Always asking if my wife or I needed anything and checking in on us. We had a zoom chat a few weeks before the wedding and we knew she was the perfect fit for us. Extremely personable, genuinely shows she cares. The pre-wedding prep process was seem less and she spent dedicated time to get to know my soon to be husband and I to understand our wants and needs for our wedding. Melody DJ'd my wedding a few weeks ago. After considering a bunch of DJ's, I found Melody. I went on a search for any reviews on any site with less than 5 stars and there was not even one. I knew I had to have her and she absolutely lived up to the hype! She's so friendly and interactive and you can even rate what level of enthusiasm you want her to have for your event. Everyone raved about our DJ and people were on the dance floor all night! Melody traveled 3.5 hours for my wedding with no travel or hotel fee which was amazing since I really wanted someone who did not charge a fee. I'm trying to find other opportunities to hire her again in the future (maybe big birthday's or something?!) I truly couldn't recommend her more!

Melody was the absolute best DJ I could have asked for at my wedding! Communication was timely and frequent before my wedding & her website/questionnaire left nothing in the air. She was on time and professional but the best part was how she kept the party going that night. She took requests via QR code, text & verbally. Every song we love was played. Her uplighting made The Estate at Kingsmill even more beautiful than it already was. Melody got on the dance floor and taught my sister a new line dance after she requested the Cupid Shuffle and some others. She got all of the groomsmen on the dance and kept them there most of the night; she also catered to all age groups that were present with a wonderful variety. Melody has an infectiously positive spirit that is perfect for this gig.

So Much More Than a DJ!
I knew Melody would be a fabulous DJ because I had been to several events where she DJ'd. So we hired her to DJ my son's wedding! She played the music that kept people on the dance floor! We had little ones at the wedding and they had a blast as well! A friend's mother told me it was so sweet how Melody interacted with her daughter. When she got up the next morning she told her mom she wanted to go back to the wedding and dance! Melody did an amazing job with announcements, kept the tables moving to the buffet, and the kids loved her uplighting! She even dealt with a tricky situation where the dance floor was not visible from most of the tables by inviting guests to move toward the dance floor to see the couple's first dance. She took care of everything for us! Always smiling, always professional, always fabulous!

It was a magical experience
Melody was amazing to work with. We had to move the dates multiple times because of the pandemic and she stuck with us through every change over the course of 1.5 years. She was professional and fun and made the whole experience stress free. She kept us dancing all night! Melody is amazing! She was wonderful to work with throughout our entire wedding planning. Her website allows you to choose songs you want and don’t want. It was a great tool to utilize. A couple weeks before our wedding we talked and she verified exactly how we wanted everything to go.
Our wedding was the best day of our lives and I’m so happy DJ Melody was apart of making it so special. If you are considering her for your event I 100% recommend this fabulous lady!

The Best of the BEST! We loved DJ Melody!
There is no better DJ in Hampton Roads than Melody! When we booked her she provided us with a questionnaire to fill out that showed us right off the bat how detailed she was and how committed she was to making sure our day went exactly how we wanted it to. It even helped us build our wedding timeline - that’s how detailed it was! The day of our wedding went so smooth and I credit so much of that to Melody and how prepared she was! She kept all of our guests entertained during transitions and totally rocked our reception! Melody even had a QR code for guests to request songs from which everyone thought was the coolest thing ever. I would also highly recommend purchasing the package that includes the uplighting because it added so much to our reception design and vibe. 10/10 recommend Melody & Co!

Love DJ Melody!
DJ Melody is so wonderful! Initially, DJ West could not be at our wedding, so he asked her to stand in his place. We were bummed at first, but once we met Melody and got to know more about her, we felt SO much better! She is professional, caring, and has a breadth of experience in the entertainment industry! In the days leading up to the wedding and on the day of, she always checked in to make sure that everything met our expectations. DJ West ended up being available, but Melody still came and worked with him to make the day amazing. Having two DJs was a DREAM! Melody really went above and beyond for us, and I so appreciate it! I highly recommend DJ Melody and her amazing woman-owned business for your entertainment needs!

DJ LoveHer - the BEST!!!
We hired Melody & Co. for our wedding because we loved the idea that they only had female DJs. When we met Natalie (DJ LoveHer), we knew that she was exactly what we wanted in a DJ. We had already been married for almost 3 years by the time that military and COVID allowed us to have our ceremony. We just wanted a party for our family and friends.
DJ LoveHer played the best songs all night. She read the mood of the crowd, made sure everyone stayed on the dance floor, and ensured we had the most fun. She was the absolute best. Everyone kept telling us after our wedding that it was the most fun that they've had in a very long time and that our wedding was the best.
Thank you for making our wedding day and celebration everything we wanted and more!
15/10 would recommend Melody & Co. and DJ LoveHer for any event!!!

I’m so happy that Melody was my wedding DJ.
I couldn’t have pick a better one.
When I started booking my vendors, I picked another DJ, but than covid happened and my original dj couldn’t make on my new date, so I started the hunt for a perfect DJ again.
I’m from Brazil and Brazilians loooooooove to dance and I wanted a Dj that could give me that. That’s when I found Melody…. She’s the best! I don’t have enough words to describe how amazing she is.

All I can do is rave about Melody!! She’s so professional and also down to earth. Melody was absolutely amazing! She made our wedding reception so much fun. She got the guests all pumped up and actually got out there and showed us a few different line dances. She was a bright star for our family on the big day
The wedding was drastically reduced in size to accommodate social distancing. I was worried that is would be low key and awkward with such a small crowd but Melody kept the party going and really helped create so many special moments. She cares so much about the Bride and family and that showed through before, during and after the wedding. Thank you with all of my heart.

The Perfect DJ for our Wedding

Simply put, Melody is the best out there! She is very flexible and professional! I told her we wanted to dance all night and that’s exactly what we did! Every song was on point and perfectly timed! Melody was absolutely amazing. She made our wedding the best party, and kept the music going the whole time. She was so professional, but so fun. Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night, and the dancing never ended. Her set up was perfect. Covid wedding
Amazing and so flexible!!! My wedding was supposed to take place in VA, but then the governor set up a new covid mandate and our church and reception cancelled on us. We had to change our wedding to SC 2 weeks before the wedding took place. Melody was willing to drive all the way down here and DJ for us still.

Amazing DJ!
Melody & Co., DJ at my daughters wedding and she was phenomenal! From the moment she arrived she was upbeat and very professional. She put everyone at ease and even helped out when the wedding coordinator went MIA. Melody kept the music going from the ceremony to the final send off. She got everyone out on the dance floor, which is a feat in itself because most of us don’t dance! But she had us all dancing the night away and it couldn’t have been any better! She helped make my daughters wedding day Amazing! We will forever be grateful for a job well done. Thanks to her my daughter will remember her reception as a fun energetic party that she always wanted instead of just another wedding reception. Dj melody was the absolute best if i could give her more than 5 stars i would! Shes so sweet and was always checking in on me before during and after the wedding to see if i needed help or food. The absolute best!
Melody was the absolute best DJ for my wedding. She is so down to earth and such a wonderful person. She met with me several times before the wedding and helped me make an awesome play list. She even came to my rehearsal to make sure the sound was on point and that the song I walked down the aisle to was the correct timing. During the reception EVERYONE was on the dance floor.
