Super Professional and Beautiful Hair and Makeup

I worked with Melissa and the Beauty Collective team for my wedding last month and they were absolutely amazing! They were one of the first vendors I hired and it was smooth sailing from start to finish. They are extremely organized and sent really helpful reminders and flyers leading up to the wedding so that the wedding party knew exactly what to do they day of the wedding.

I had a pretty large wedding party (11 bridesmaids plus mothers of the bride and groom and flower girls). Beauty Collective handled that number perfectly. The team came to our getting ready location and set up quickly and just kept working until everyone was done. Each artist was a pleasure to work with and made everyone feel super comfortable. They were also wonderful to our little flower girls who were running around, super excited for the day. I also made a last minute change to what I wanted for my makeup and they executed the new look flawlessly – I felt glamorous but still like I looked like myself!

I would highly recommend Beauty Collective!

Everything was perfect!

Samantha did my hair and makeup perfectly for my wedding day! She also did my maid of honor and some other family members and everyone looked so wonderful. It was great to be able to customize hair and makeup done by 1 person for a smaller wedding party! Melissa was really flexible and wonderful with some last minute changes. I purchased some additional hair extensions which stayed in beautifully all night. Samantha was a calm presence to have in our bridal suite on the morning of everything too, couldn't have been a better experience!

September Boston Wedding with Beauty Collective

I had the most amazing experience with the Beauty Collective Team at my Boston-based wedding in September 2025. From the beginning during the trial all the way up until wedding day and beyond, working with them was easy and seamless. Melissa was beyond responsive and helpful in helping me plan for the big day. Incredible experience

We had the most amazing experience with Beauty Collective! Everyone felt like an incredible combination of elevated but like themselves - it was awesome. I had envisioned a ponytail for my bridal look - something I hadn't really done before - and Melissa worked together to create the perfect style. I was late to book with hair and makeup but they completely accommodated me, were quick to respond, upfront with pricing for everything, lovely to work with the whole way through, and they did an AMAZING job!! Highly Recommend!

If you are looking for hair and makeup for your wedding look no further. Beauty Collective was one of the best vendor decisions I made. Melissa the owner is extremely organized and easy to work with. My makeup artist Chelsea did such an incredible job on myself and all my girls. I am not a makeup girlie at all but she made me look natural and glam all at the same time. Brianna perfected every look that my bridesmaids had requested and our hair stayed all day even in the wind! 10/10 for service and talent!

I can't recommend Melissa and the team at Beauty Collective enough. Melissa was absolutely amazing to work with. During my hair trial, Melissa worked with me to try a few different variations of my desired hairstyle, and helped me pick out extensions that matched my hair perfectly. On the day of the wedding, she was prompt and was able to complete hairstyles quickly and efficiently. We reviewed my trial and my hopes for the day of hairstyle, and she was able to give me exactly what I was hoping for! She was so great to work with and was flexible, and everyone loved their hair. I can't thank her enough!

The BEST Hair Stylists

If you are from Massachusetts or the surrounding areas, Beauty Collective is the BEST of the best for hair. I had the owner Melissa for my wedding welcome party, as well as my wedding day and I truly could not recommend her more. My hair turned out even better than I could have imagined and she was beyond kind and sweet. Jami did my hair for my rehearsal and wow... it was amazing. Could not thank the Beauty Collective enough for adding such a positive light to our wedding weekend. 10/10 recommend!

Highly Recommend Beauty Collective

Melissa was my hairstylist for the wedding and she was SO great! From beginning to end, she was so professional and quickly responsive/helpful for any questions I had. Seriously, Beauty Collective was the easiest of my vendors to communicate/work with. I wanted something a bit different than typical bridal hair for my day and Melissa was more than game to make it work. She was also really great with all of my bridesmaids/my mom on the day of the wedding. Everyone was really happy with their hair and it lasted the entire night!! Bridal, Bridesmaid and MOB hair

Melissa and her team are the best. Melissa is clearly confident in her skills and knowledge and is a well organized business owner. As soon as I met her for my trial I knew I was in good hands. She tried multiple styles during my trial and talked me through each step in the process and how it would differ from day of. I have a lot of wavy hair that is very thick and usually people struggle taming it, Melissa did an amazing job. When we booked her, she was able to tell me how much square footage her and the other stylist would need to comfortably work, it was so helpful for planning day of. My sister and I even ended up booking her to do blow outs the day before the wedding.

On the morning of our wedding, Melissa was calm, timely and efficient, every single persons hair looked amazing -- including mine. I felt so relaxed knowing she would make sure my hair/ veil was perfect/ My hair lasted from 8am through the end of our after party at 1am and looked amazing. My hair was so intact I was even able to wear in the next day at our beach party. I couldn't recommend her and her team anymore.

Gorgeous hair!

Melissa at Beauty Collective was amazing to work with! I used her for my wedding, I've never felt that beautiful and had so many compliments on my hair style. She did exactly what I asked for the hair trial, and listened to suggestions on the day of the wedding to make my hair look good but also so that I could dance and not have hair getting in the way all night. The bridesmaids and my mother also felt so beautiful. They were asking for her contact information later so they could use Melissa again for future events! Melissa was so sweet, she made me feel so calm on my wedding day. I would highly recommend her!

I loved working with Brianna! I was the only one getting my hair done (which was one of the big initial things that drew me to Beauty Collective; there aren’t a lot of places that are willing to travel to do only the bride’s hair), and I really wanted it to be a chill start to the morning before my wedding party joined me. Such a great team!

Sam D did my hair for the wedding and she was incredible! Everyone loved both my hair and the bridesmaids. She also did multiple looks during my trial to make sure it came out exactly as I was picturing. Melissa was so easy to work with to schedule the trial and last minute changes to the getting ready schedule. I also got a spray tan at the salon, which I had never gotten before and it turned out so natural. Highly recommend the beauty collective!!!

Book melissa for your wedding!!

Melissa was amazing to work with. Professional, flexible and so talented! I naturally have very curly hair and was worried about finding a stylist that could work with my hair and keep away the frizz for my wedding day. Wedding Hair and Makeup

Sam R did our Makeup and Sammy D did our hair for my wedding day, and they both did an amazing job! The group getting hair and makeup included myself, my mom, and my 3 bridesmaids. They each listened to our requests and followed through with a beautiful job. I would love to highlight a few ways they each went above and beyond. Sam R applied false eyelashes using adhesive I brought for sensitive eyes. She was also willing to learn and try other products I bought to our trial and was very reassuring to me that we would figure out a solution for the false lashes with sensitive eyes- I had no issues with my sensitive eyes all night! Sammy D was able to make an adjustment from my trial hair on the wedding day, and nailed it on the first shot! She also beautifully placed baby's breath within my hair. Melissa was great to work with and very professional, I highly recommend the Beauty Collective!

Great team for a wedding/event

The team at the Beauty Collective was amazing. Melissa was extremely responsive to all of my questions. We were able to hammer out the day of details quickly and efficiently. She was really easy and great to work with. I had Jami as my hair stylist and Ashley as my make up artist. Between the trial and my wedding I changed my mind about my look and both were great about the day of change. Jami did not only my hair but my five bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law. Everyone looked great and their hair lasted all night. Ashley did an amazing job on my makeup - I went for a very natural look and it was perfect! She also did one of my bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law - everyone looked amazing. I would highly recommend working with this team. Dream wedding hair

I had a trial with Melissa over a year before my wedding, so by the time the day came, I had a different vision of how I wanted my hair to look. Melissa was very flexible with changing my look and knew exactly what I wanted, even though I had a hard time explaining it! All of my bridesmaids hair came out beautiful as well.
Leading up to the wedding, Melissa was very responsive with all of my questions and made sure that everyone would be ready based off of my timeline.

Melissa & Rachel were a dream come true. The duo traveled to The Berkshires for my three day wedding. We had three days of hair + makeup and each look was so different. They nailed each one! From an edgy chic pony tail to a French ballerina look... The team is beyond professional, personal and I enjoyed my 6am coffee chatting with the girls. My bridesmaids were obsessed. One who has difficult hair said she never has felt so beautiful or looked more confident.... in her... LIFE. Bravo!!! If you don't hire them you are making a mistake.

Incredible!!

I got married on October 1, 2022. Jami did my hair as well as 6 bridesmaids and my mother all on her own!! The hairstyles she created were absolutely beautiful. Jami was so kind and calm and it was exactly what I needed the morning of such an emotion filled day. My hair looked flawless throughout my wedding and made it through two after parties! Best of the Best!!

I have never felt more beautiful! Melissa Scott, Kristen, and the Beauty Collective Team did the absolute best job and I cannot thank or recommend them enough! I am not someone who wears a lot of make-up or does anything with my hair other than a messy bun. When I first connected with Melissa and Kristen for my hair and make-up trial, they made me feel at ease that my make-up and hair will just be an extension of ME. I left the hair/make-up trial feeling great and excited for my wedding day. In the morning, Melissa and her team showed up to my parent's house with everything and set up shop- it felt like we were in the Beauty Collective Studio. They had such a rhythm and schedule that any stress I had about our short time-line went out the window. They did hair and makeup on 9 girls in about 3 hours! The personalized touch and attention to detail made everyone get up from the chairs feeling their absolute best! That morning, I asked Melissa if she could change my hair slightly from the wedding trial, and she was able to make those changes no problem. I was so calm all morning, and it truly was because of the amazing Beauty Collective Team!

The Beauty Collective team helped me look and feel gorgeous on my wedding day!

I truly enjoyed working with Melissa and the Beauty Collective team for my September 2022 wedding in Rehoboth, MA. Melissa, Kristen, and Lauren did hair and makeup for my crew of five bridesmaids, two moms, and the bride - after they were done with us, everybody looked and felt gorgeous!

The planning process was very easy. Melissa answered all of my questions over phone and email and we were able to figure out a plan that worked with the timing of the day. When I visited the salon for my trial, I worked with Melissa and Kristen to identify a couple of options based on my vision, dress, and the accessories I wanted to wear.

On the day of the wedding, the team stuck to the schedule and got everybody’s hair and makeup done very efficiently. They arrived at the venue with all their supplies on time, and I was never stressed that we weren’t going to be done in time for photos - it was all a very relaxed and fun atmosphere! Melissa, Kristen, and Lauren worked with each person to figure out what they wanted for their hair and makeup and executed exactly what each person wanted.

The looks photographed super well and lasted through a day and night of drinking and dancing in the late summer heat. My naturally curly hair did not frizz, even though it was quite humid outside! All in all, we had an awesome experience with the Beauty Collective team and would highly, highly recommend them to anybody planning their wedding!

The best glam team!

I knew I wanted to work with Beauty Collective Team after my sister in law used them for her wedding. I loved how easy they were to work with and my hair and make-up as a bridesmaid in her wedding looked amazing!

My experience was seamless from the start. Not only were they professional, but made myself, and all of the women I love most, feel incredible on our wedding day.

I did two trials with Melissa because I was uncertain at first how I wanted to do my hair. She was consultative every step of the way. Kristen is an artist and I have never felt more beautiful!

I cannot recommend this team enough. I have been in a handful of weddings and have never witnessed such professionalism and talent!

10/10 from first call to wedding day

I was nervous about finding someone to do my hair on my wedding day- because my mom is a hair stylist and typically the only person I trusted. All of those nerves melted away when I met with Melissa the first time. She was so open to all of my ideas, never pushy- informative and gave me all of my options before letting me choose. We added extensions- something I've never done before- and she never made me feel like any question was silly. On wedding day - every single one of my bridesmaids LOVED their hair - a rarity - and they all looked unique and like themselves. I changed the style I wanted a few times & only finalized the week before the wedding- Melissa was flexible, kind and made sure I didn't have a hair out of place. Could not recommend more. She was lovely in every way.

I am so happy I booked Crystal for my wedding! I loved my hair and the way it looked in photos, and my mom and bridesmaids looked gorgeous as well. Crystal was so fun and laid back - ideal for a wedding morning. Amazing and incredibly talented

Melissa was incredible to work with! I have had very curly coarse hair my entire life that I started getting chemically straightened at 16. Needless to say, I have always been self conscious about my hair and how it looks. Regardless though, I knew I wanted to have something done to it for my wedding day. Melissa listened to what I wanted, and ended up creating an amazing hairstyle that was exactly what I wanted. My mom got her hair done and it looked incredible, as well as my maid of honors style. The MOH showed Melissa a picture of what she wanted and Melissa created something even more amazing than the photo. She helped put in my veil, and waited until we were all 100% satisfied with our hair. She worked well with my photographer and went with the flow of the day, allowing us all to relax. On top of being talented, Melissa is just so so nice and such a kind person. She showed up prepared and didn’t rush one bit. I would 1000% hire her time and time again if I had the opportunity!

Amazing hair styling for my wedding day!!

I cannot speak highly enough about Melissa and her team. She was flexible in making a plan for my day and helped me look my best. All of my friends loved the way our hair turned out. Melissa brought all of her own equipment and set up in my living room. She gave great advice about what would look best throughout my wedding day. I could not have asked for better!

I am so grateful that I was able to have Melissa and her amazing team do me and my wedding party's hair and makeup! I have had this team do my hair and makeup before and that is when I knew I needed them on my wedding day. Melissa went above and beyond to make sure my day was so special and knew everything I wanted without even having to tell her. Melissa is flexible and communicative. My most responsive vendor

Working with Melissa and her team has been a dream. From the start, Melissa was SO responsive to my emails and phone calls and as a Type A person who panics if I’m waiting around for people, I never had to wait and wonder what was happening with HMU. When it comes to the skills Melissa and her team have, it’s top notch. I had Melissa doing my hair and Kristen for make up on my wedding day and they DELIVERED. I’ve never received so many compliments and have never felt so confident or beautiful (both after the trial and on my wedding day). They were also extremely prompt on the day of the wedding, worked super efficiently (but not rushing), and are all super easygoing and easy to talk to which made the getting ready process so much more enjoyable.

This wedding was delayed because of Covid 3 times and I used Melissa and her team for my civil ceremony back in 2020, my bridal shower, my “big” wedding now in 2022, and my sister-in-law is using the crew for her wedding in October. If that doesn’t speak to how much I trust in her team I don’t know what does! If you’re a bride looking for HMU look no further!!

Simply the best!

Melissa & Crystal are absolute PRO's! They were so easy to work with, communication was on point and they were such a great addition to my wedding day. All of my girls hairstyles were absolutely stunning and these two kept right on schedule to ensure we were all ready by the time my limo arrived!

I didn't really know what I wanted my wedding hair to look like and Melissa had some great ideas during my hair trial and gave me a couple of options to choose from, which I loved! She knew exactly what I was looking for and my hair did not budge or frizz the entire night!!

Wonderful Wedding Hair!

I am so glad I chose Melissa Scott/Beauty Collective to do our hair for my wedding! To say I was an indecisive and frustrating bride to work with is probably an understatement (sorry!) So while my initial hair trial wasn’t totally successful, Melissa found time to squeeze me in two days before my wedding to ensure I was 100% satisfied with my look. It was so incredibly helpful and completely put me at ease to know that we were both on the same page for the look I wanted to achieve for my wedding. And Melissa and crew totally nailed it on the day of the wedding! They arrived on time and came with a calm and fun presence. All of my bridesmaids have varying hair colors, lengths, and textures and Beauty Collective made everyone’s hair look absolutely stunning! Everyone was given a look that worked for them, yet was cohesive with the group. Additionally, Beauty Collective was able to fit my sister and I in for a spray tan. August COVID Wedding

I had originally scheduled a different vendor for hair and makeup, but given COVID they no longer felt comfortable. I reached out to Melissa about 1.5 months before our wedding and she couldn’t have been more accommodating or easy to work with right from the beginning. Melissa (hair) and Kristen (makeup) did a phenomenal job on all our hair and makeup on the day of the wedding. Even with the rain during our ceremony everyone’s hair and makeup held up perfectly! Both her and Kristen were truly a pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend both of them!

Absolutely Wonderful!

Choosing Melissa and her team for my wedding was one of the best decisions I could have possibly made. Going into the process, I knew how I wanted my hair to eventually look however, was unsure how to get there. Melissa worked with me over a period of two trials leading up to the wedding to make my hair look exactly how I wanted it.

Melissa was extremely encouraging, understanding and FUN from the beginning. She is definitely someone you want to have around on your wedding day! Her team was extremely professional and efficient. I had thirteen bridesmaids, two mothers, an aunt and myself who needed their hair done and Melissa and her team made this happen WHILE sticking to my timing schedule and making sure every single girl's hair was absolutely perfect.

Each of my bridesmaids and moms were EXTREMELY thrilled with the result of their hair. In addition, all of their hair stayed throughout the night even after having an early morning start!

My hair turned out better than i could have EVER imagined and in all of the photos looks so perfectly stunning. Melissa knew exactly what I wanted and truly made all of my wedding hair visions come true!

Incredible from start to finish

Working with Melissa was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. She was responsive and professional throughout the entire wedding process and she was patient and thoughtful as we tested and even retested different looks during my trial. On the day of my wedding, Melissa and her team came early to set up and stayed late to ensure everything was perfect. I loved my hair and it stayed perfectly through the entire day/night (over 14 hours!). Dream hair!

Melissa was absolutely amazing and super accommodating and attentive. She is the only person I even considered for my wedding because her portfolio is so impressive and beautiful. I live on the west coast, and Melissa was super accommodating with booking my trials for when I was on brief trips to Boston. She went out of her way to make sure I was able to have two trials (one the week of my wedding!) and came into her salon in the evening to do them. On the day of she was fun to hang out with, and she was on schedule. My whole bridal party had their hair stay put the entire night. She worked really hard to make sure everyone's hair looked just how they wanted it. I could not recommend Melissa more!

Melissa was amazing!! Her assistant was as well. I cannot imagine my wedding day with any hair professionals other than Melissa and her team. I originally contacted Melissa over a year before my wedding and she was incredibly responsive in the year leading up as I had questions. Melissa is amazing! She was very responsive throughout the whole process and was quick to answer any questions I had. Just the best

I can't say enough good things about Melissa. From the get go she was the ultimate in professionalism. A hungover bride and MOH, two late bridesmaids and a late makeup artist is no easy feat to handle first thing in the morning but she did great. I worked with Melissa for my wedding in July of 2019. She was awesome! I loved my hair and all 7 of my bridesmaids. Melissa is amazing! She is a true professional - I was able to put my mind at ease the day of my wedding, knowing that she would work her magic. My hair came out perfectly and stayed in place all day & night. I believe my hair was done around 9 AM and it was still perfect at 11 PM.

Wonderful and beautiful

Melissa was so great to work with! For my wedding day look I really wasn't sure how I wanted my hair to look. I've never done up-do's or worn my hair up that much so when we scheduled my trial Melissa was very patient with me trying many different looks! We tried braids, no braids, curly, wavy, etc. I had a hair piece too and we tried multiple ways to incorporate it into my hair as well. I showed her my dress and we discussed a lot about how my "look" should all look beautiful all together. I feel like she knew what vision I wanted and totally helped me every step of the way. I had 8 bridesmaids (including my maid of honor) and Melissa came with an assistant and made it all happen! Very punctual and the whole day was stress free :) Melissa was also very professional and talented. My hair stayed put for many many hours and she made me feel like a queen. Made my wedding hair dreams come true!

Melissa was wonderful to work with! I scheduled a consult with her about 6 months before my wedding and I loved my hair, as the time got closer, I thought I wanted another look, she gladly scheduled me another trial, 2 weeks before my wedding, and nailed my vision for my hair! On my wedding day she was a welcome addition, she was friendly and funny, and all of my girls loved their hair! she was so fast and professional, it was a great experience! She rolled with all the changes that the girls wanted to make and didn't bat an eyelash. She made me look and feel so beautiful that day! I would highly recommend her!

I can’t say enough about Melissa! From the time I did my trial to my wedding day, Melissa was fantastic! She is professional, responsive, easy going, kind, and timely! My hair was flawless! First off, Melissa is fantastic, look no further. Melissa timed out the day perfectly, we were all ready on time and did not feel rushed at all! All of my bridesmaids loved their hair and she was able to execute all of the Pinterest examples we gave her! I was worried about my hair dropping after my “first look” since I wore my hair down and curly, so Melissa came with me to my venue to touch up my hair before I walked down the aisle which ended up working out great! One of my bridesmaids did an updo and it lasted her 3 days perfectly (Haha!). She also does hair trials in her studio in Wakefield which is a super cute spot! I highly recommend Melissa for your big day!

Melissa was so wonderful to work with. She was easy going and relaxed, and very efficient with everyone's hairstyles so we had plenty of time and weren't rushed at all to get ready. All of the bridesmaids were very happy with their styles. My hair stayed perfectly through a very windy ceremony and a full night of dancing, and I was even able to wear it to brunch the next day without touching it! She did not use a ton of product or bobby pins, so everyone looked natural. I would highly recommend working with Melissa!

Melissa was AMAZING! She accommodated both my mom (who never gets her hair done and was very apprehensive) and I for trials on the same day, despite her busy schedule, and executed both of our styles perfectly. On the wedding day, I decided to make a small change to my updo and she was extremely flexible and accommodating, snapping photos to show me each step of the way. She even called a couple of hours after she left to check in and make sure I was happy with the changes, as she was back in the area and said she’d be happy to swing by (above and beyond!!) All of the ladies in the wedding party loved their styles, got many compliments, and enjoyed having Melissa around on the wedding day- she is super sweet, flexible, accommodating, and such a calming presence!

Melissa is hands down the best person to do your hair on your wedding day! I have challenging hair, curly, frizzy, thick, and then I have bridesmaids who have thin, fine hair, short, long, curly. Melissa made all of us look unbelievable. I was stunned that my hair could look as amazing as it did- and it lasted ALL NIGHT! Melissa is incredible and will make you feel so beautiful!! I ended up doing different hair at my wedding than my trial appt and Melissa perfectly reflected exactly what I wanted (and didn’t care that I changed my mind). She modifies styles to make them work with your hair type and face. My bridesmaids and mom were all in love with their hair styles as well. Additionally, Melissa is professional, calm, and such a pleasant person to spend time with on your wedding day! I highly recommend her - she will put your hair anxieties at ease!!

Melissa Scott... you are amazing!! Thank you so much for doing our wedding hair last Saturday, 6.2.18. You are talented beyond words.. truly gifted. Our guests commented all day on how stunning all of our individual hair styles were. Simply fabulous! I knew right away at our trial back in January 2018 that I didn't need to be apprehensive or concerned on the wedding day. I was in extremely good hands. I trusted you 100%. Melissa was very responsive from my first email to her. Her pricing is very transparent, which was appreciated. At the hair trial, she took one look at the photo I showed her and did the style so fast that I thought there was no way it was done correctly. Wrong! Melissa's speed and accuracy are simply amazing! After sharing with Melissa that I had had a rather mediocre trial elsewhere, she put me at complete ease within minutes of my trial. Melissa listened to what I wanted, and after looking through some of my hair inspiration, she was able to come up with the perfect bridal hairstyle. Melissa is fantastic! She was very responsive to messages sent through WeddingWire regarding scheduling, payment and contract questions and was so kind and flexible throughout the entire process. I did my hair trial with her in July and loved it so much. I showed her a photo of my dress and told her I wanted a low bun. She came up with an amazing style that suited my hair, the dress and my overall style. She traveled to my venue the day of my wedding, was prompt, relaxed and efficient. She did a blowout for my mom and my hair for the wedding day. One of my bridesmaids offered a hairpiece to me between my trial and the wedding day and then I forgot to tell Melissa about it until halfway through...oops! She was still able to work it into my hairstyle and it looked absolutely gorgeous.

Now, I am one of those people that always imagines my hair looking amazing, but it never does. As in, I get a blow out and it looks good for a few hours and then it looks like I just slept on it. Or, I curl my hair and it looks great when I leave the house and then by the time I look in the mirror in my car it's just blah. Melissa's work was the exception to the rule. I couldn't believe how great my hair looked in the trial!, but it looked even better on the wedding day and stayed in all night (hair was finished at 3pm and I went to bed at 1:30am) I received so many compliments on my hair throughout the wedding!

The next morning, my mom and I were talking about how much we loved working with Melissa! I cannot say enough good things about her. Book her! You won't regret it!

Melissa has been doing my hair for well over five years. She even did my hair for my wedding. My husband and I have since moved out of the city, I drive an hour (sometimes two with traffic) to continue to go to her and let me tell you she is worth it.

Melissa is literally a hair genius. I told her what I wanted for my Great Gatsby Updo and she exceeded all of my expectations! My hair looked better than I ever could have imagined. I had guests ask if they could take a picture of just my hair. I was so worried that bobby pins would fall out during the night but my hair didn't budge! Melissa was absolutely amazing leading up to my wedding day and on the wedding day. I went in for a hair trial and was not a huge fan of how my hair looked in the styles I had asked Melissa to try out for me. She had a wonderful suggestion for me and that's the hair style I went with on my wedding day. My hair came out better than I could ever imagine. I am still in complete shock of how good my hair looked whenever I look at my wedding pictures. My bridesmaids and mom absolutely loved her as well. One of my bridesmaids had no idea what she wanted. Melissa started working, and the end result was nothing less than perfect. Everyone looked great and felt great thanks to Melissa. She was even the person that recommended a make-up artist for that day. The two worked perfectly together and we all looked fabulous thanks to the two of them. I honestly felt more confident and less anxious because of how good I felt after getting ready.

Leading up to the wedding there was a lot of emailing on my part. Melissa would respond quickly, give me any details I needed, made me feel more at ease, and was more than understanding about anything that came up, even some last-minute issues. I honestly could not picture my wedding day going as smoothly with anyone else doing our hair.

Thank you so much Melissa! We will all highly recommend you to anyone looking for a hair stylist for their wedding!

I really liked Melissa. She was genuinely awesome to work with, the right mix of cool/laid back & professional, and she did such a lovely job on my hair! I went with a side braid that had sort of a knotted look at the back and was adorned with two small, pretty combs. My hair has blue, teal, and aqua ombre and Melissa did an amazing job capturing the colors in the braid (I got so many compliments related to that!). At the end of the night, my friend (who is an amateur hair-styling enthusiast and is always trying to do my hair - and is pretty critical of hairstylists in general) was helping me take the bobbypins out and she could not believe how talented Melissa is.

Hey! I used Mellisa for my wedding and use her regularly for my hair! She did an amazing Job on everyone in the bridal party and of course loved what she did with my hair. She stuck around after ceremony and did a second look for me as well. I would highly recommend working with Mellisa she is reliable, and works very well with others. Melissa has been my hairdresser for a long time. She did my wedding and my hair looked fabulous as it always does when I leave the salon. My hair still looked great after pictures on the beach and dancing. Melissa not only did my hair, but she helped me before the wedding to get my hair the exact color I wanted. Also, doing a keratin treatment to keep it smooth. The day of my wedding Melissa kept the day running smoothly and made sure everyone was ready on time. She goes above and beyond for her brides and wedding parties. She even helped me get my dress on and made sure that everything was perfect. Melissa was extremely responsive throughout the planning process and easy to coordinate with. She tries different styles during the trial which is very helpful to brainstorm what will work best. I decided to do my hair down instead of up which I had done in the trial, and she suggested I do a 2nd trial.. it ended up being the best decision as my hair was exactly how I wanted it on the day of. Melissa executed extremely well. She was even able to handle an extra person on the day of because we were ahead of schedule.

Melissa was great! From our initial email all the way to the day of my wedding, she was understanding and professional all the way! I have very curly hair and was having a hard time finding someone who could give me the polished look I wanted. Melissa did that! She can manage any hair type. She was also very accommodating on the day of my wedding. My bridesmaids initially said that they didn't want their hair done, but changed their mind the day of. They went to a stylist nearby, just in case Melissa didn't have time when she arrived. They weren't happy with the stylist they went to. When she arrived, Melissa did some serious magic on their hair and made them look amazing! We were all so happy with her work. she actually listened to what my girls wanted and gave them the exact style they were expecting! I would go back to her again!

Melissa was truly a dream to work with. I have been getting my hair cut by Melissa for about 5 years and when I got engaged I knew that I wanted her to do my hair for my wedding immediately. Melissa is extremely professional, kind, and super easy to work with. During my hair trial for my wedding she took me through 4 totally different styles because I am horrible at deciding what I like best. She was amazing and didn't care that I couldn't make up my mind, she kept doing my hair until I had found a style I loved. Melissa made sure that I was extremely comfortable with the hair style on my wedding day. She was calm and in control even when we ended up having to speed things up a little, she kept her cool and did an amazing job. Melissa is truly fantastic at what she does!!!

Great Service, Experienced Team Members

I hired the Beauty Collective team for my wedding on September 21, 2024. I had Ashley as my makeup artist for myself (Bride), 4 bridesmaids, and both MOB & MOG. She was on time, attentive to our requests and each person that left her chair looked fantastic. We had Marisa as our hairstylist for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and MOB. We ended up finishing hair and touch ups earlier than expected.
Unfortunately my hair clip did end up sliding down my hair before dinner even started and I had to have it removed. Marisa did have quite a few clips so luckily it held on through the portraits and ceremony. One bridesmaids hair did fall out before we got to the venue. Luckily the others were able to figure out a way to re-pin it to stay put.

Due to COVID, I ended up having Meaghan, from Epic Beauty do my hair - she was great!

I worked with Melissa Scott Services for my wedding. Melissa ended up being booked on my wedding date yet assigned me to Nicole Greco. Nicole was so responsive to emails, so kind, and very talented! She did a trial for my mom and I and did such an amazing job! Nicole ended having COVID for my wedding, so Nicole and Melissa worked hard together to find me a backup. They found Meaghan from Epic Beauty and she did such an excellent job! I absolutely loved the work she did for myself, mom and bridesmaids! Everything went seamlessly and we all looked beautiful!

While Melissa works with such a talented team, I found her customer facing skills to be lacking. For example, I was a COVID bride who had to push back my wedding a full year and she was my only vendor who re-charged me a deposit fee to hold my new 2021 date. All my other vendors transferred my deposit holding my 2020 date to my new date in 2021 since it was a global pandemic and out of my control. Also, in my experience when researching hair vendors, I found other hair vendors gave me a 24-48 hour soft hold on my wedding date when I inquired about using their services for my wedding day. Melissa actually didn’t do this – I was told she was available for my wedding date and did receive a contract, but she had also sent a contract to another bride for the same date, and I wasn’t aware this was how the process worked or how long she had been conversing with this other bride. Melissa sent me the contract for my date and asked for a time to connect via phone, and I answered almost instantaneously because I did not want to lose the date. This was quite stressful for me. I was confused why she sent me a contract if she was already working with another bride on the same date. Long story short, my date was actually taken. That being said, Melissa reached out to Nicole Greco to accommodate my date and Nicole was free, so I did partner with her. However, I found this to be overall stressful and not great business etiquette.
