She is the best! Her knowledge of the local venues is amazing, from the time of day the light hits certain buildings and how long it takes her to get all of the shots. She's a real pro. -

Melissa is an excellent photographer! She is personable, patient, funny, and extremely creative. My husband and I really enjoyed working with Melissa and her assistant, Tom - Tom helped out with our engagement photos and wedding photos. We really enjoyed both Melissa and Tom's creativity and passion for photography. We barely had to give them any suggestions or ideas - Melissa was always on the same page as us and two steps ahead. She and Tom captured all of the important moments and really made our wedding day even more special now that we can relive it through their eyes. Melissa was also extremely patient with our (my) many questions and emails and was very responsive, which we really appreciated. I highly recommend Melissa and hope to use her for future occasions! -

Melissa and Tom were amazing to work with! Melissa was the second photographer we met with and we knew right away that we wanted to work with her. She took the time to listen to our ideas and really tried to incorporate them. She provided great suggestions, but wasn’t pushy about it. She took our engagement photos, which turned our AMAZING! We have yet to see our wedding photos, but I have no doubts that they will also be amazing. She was easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions and concerns. I would HIGHLY recommend Melissa for any photography needs. -

Melissa & Tom were amazing! Melissa was the first vendor we met with for our wedding because we felt that the photos were a huge part of the day! We knew right away that we were going with her! She has a way of capturing emotion like no one else. We LOVE our pictures!!! Melissa was always very prompt with responses and never made me feel as if I was bothering her. She got excited with every new idea or detail I told her about! She really cares about your day and wants to make sure she gets everything you want! We highly recommend Melissa Grimes-Guy Photography for your wedding! I know when the time comes, we will go back and see Melissa for maternity/baby pictures! She truly is the best!!! -

Melissa is my mom and my new best friend. Not only is she the sweetest lady in the world, but she unbelievably talented. She made everything quick and painless. I never felt like I smiled for too long or was tired of taking pictures. But she took thousands! She was never in the way or obvious. Her assistant was off to the side but got great pics as well! She had them all done and proofs up in 2 weeks! I adore her and am so happy with the most important part of my wedding! Pictures last FOREVER!!! -

Melissa took the most beautiful photographs of my son & daughter-in law's destination wedding at a lovely B & B in Maryland....we were very pleased! Melissa was also very helpful during the ordering process - since we do not live in the Maryland area we had lots of questions which she was always prompt in answering. She does lovely work (lots of B & W & candid shots which I loved)-
I would certainly recommend her. -

This is actually the second time that our family has had the pleasure of having Melissa (and her assistant, Tom) join us as our wedding photographer. Three years ago, Melissa and Tom took amazing pictures of my father and stepmother's wedding so, when I got engaged, there was no question as to who would be our photographer. Melissa was our first call.
Having just sorted through the 1,800 pictures from the wedding weekend, we will be hard pressed to narrow down our favorites. Melissa and Tom truly captured the spirit of the weekend (from the formal family shots to the crazy friends on the dance floor). We know that we'll cherish these pictures for the rest of our lives. As further testament to her talents, we used some of her amazing past photos of the Eastern Shore as gifts to our parents. A great way to commemorate the weekend -- the shots were amazing.
Melissa was such a joy to work with and we would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing photographer. -

Melissa was the best vendor we worked with. When she first met with us, she was open and honest with us. She gave us her imput without being overly aggressive.
She was always super responsive and answered our questions almost immediately. By the time our wedding day came we felt like one of our friends was take the pictures.
Her pictures and wedding albums are lovely and really capture the moment. -

Melissa is the best! We wanted pictures that weren't your "traditional" groups standing, bridal portraits, etc. and Melissa was able to do that. She was able to use everything our venue had to offer as far as making great pictures which was great too -- we loved our venue because of its beauty and unique charm and we love that we have it all in pictures to remember for our lifetimes.
She is also someone who makes you feel really comfortable, which is hugely important on your wedding day. She has fun with you and really listens to what you want. We even suggested a few picture ideas and she remembered them ALL during the day!

Melissa was an aboslute joy to work with. She accomodated every request we had and truly understood what were wanted for our pictures. My husband and I like more candid shots and she is really the best at that format. Our portraits turned out wonderfully and the candid shots before, during and after truly captured the night. I couldn't have asked for a better result. The way she captured the wedding has really allowed me to re-live the night over and over again! -

My wedding was almost 4 years ago and people still are commenting about how wonderful they thought our wedding photos were. We did a lot of searching for the right photographer, and could not have been happier with Melissa's services. She is very professional, kind, and really listens to what type of photos you want. I preferred a more candid style, and she also captured elements of our wedding location that made it even more special. It is her attention to detail, and experience that make it worth the price. I actually didn't quite care for the style of the main photo album pages (very thick and slick), but it will last forever. I ordered prints to display and am very happy with those. -
