Melanie was the most amazing photographer we could've dreamed of for our wedding. She was so relaxed and made the day so much fun and the photos turned out INCREDIBLE! My whole family commented on how seamlessly she fit into the group on our wedding day and she even went the extra mile to do a photoshoot of us in a vintage car after the wedding and then come to our after party to get a group shot! Highly recommend! -

Amazing!
Melanie was INCREDIBLE. By far one of the best decisions we made and she crushed it. She was very timely, gave her own ideas as well as kept in mind the specific types of images I liked, and was so much fun to work with. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!!! -

Above and beyond, two years in a row!
Melanie is amazing. We were fortunate to have her as our photographer two years in a row! First for our intimate family-only elopement and again for our full guest list vow renewal. And both times, she captured the happiness, love, and magic surrounding our incredible day. She was patient with family and friends, and got all the photos we requested. She has great attention to detail, capturing the best light, facial features, and backgrounds. Above all, she is personable and kind, and we are beyond thankful. -

Melanie is an amazing photographer
She was my photographer for my pandemic wedding, the photos are so beautiful you almost forget that half my guest are wearing mask and the other half are staying 6 feet apart. She was so sweet and professional the entire time, she made me feel like a family member was taking my picture instead of someone I barely knew. She made everything so special. I cannot recommend her enough -

We hired Melanie for our engagement photos and wedding photos after seeing her light and bright style on her instagram. I think her style is very timeless which was important for me since we'll be looking back at these pictures forever. Working with Melanie was awesome, she can make any lighting situation look good and was really fun to be around. One of the things I appreciated most was how quickly she took our family photos. I was worried about wasting a bunch of time taking pictures with every combination of family members at my wedding. Melanie knew I wanted it to be quick and directed all of the family members really well where they were all satisfied that they had some pictures, but we didn't have to spend a ton of time taking them. -

Melanie is the best!! My husband and I planned a destination and knew we could pick a photographer from anywhere and after searching for countless hours we found Melanie and loved her! She made engagement pictures a blast and they were beautiful. Then covid came, we had to change our wedding plans 3 times, one very last minute and she was so flexible and supporting and kind through it all!! I can't imagine how hard it is to be in the wedding industry through this time but she still kept going above and beyond for us! All her pictures are amazing and you won't regret hiring her because you will have them forever! -

I was lucky to find Melanie Grady photography. After getting engaged, I began to search for photographers on the knot. I felt completely overwhelmed as I did not know much about photography. I stumbled upon Melanie and decided I loved her photos so I booked her for our engagement shoot, and later our wedding. Working with Melanie throughout our whole wedding journey was a pleasure. She is truly a professional. She knew exactly how to direct us and she made us feel extremely comfortable the whole time. She was able to easily grasp what our photo priorities were and was very accommodating to our wants and needs. I have no regrets hiring Melanie. Her products are also of the highest quality. Our wedding albums came out gorgeous and the images she provided us are flawless. Thanks to Melanie (and her husband Josh) we will forever cherish the memories from our wedding day. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great photographer for any occasion. -

William Sent on 07/16/2018Hiring Melanie as our photographer was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding! We loved her romantic, artistic style and her ability to use nature and light to make her photos magical and dynamic. She and her husband/assistant were absolutely professional, on time, and everywhere they needed to be during our big day-while at the same time, they didn't draw attention to themselves. We were surprised at some of the very special moments they wound up capturing! One of us (namely the bride) was more camera-shy, but Melanie puts you at ease and suggests ways to feel relaxed and let your personality and excitement shine through during the shoot. The final products were absolutely perfect and we just loved receiving our packages from Melanie...they were all wrapped with such personal touches and caring messages, she really is all about building a close relationship with her clients. If you choose Melanie Grady as your photographer, you are guaranteed at least one major stress-free part of your day!!!
She is great about communication and will absolutely listen to what you want. She starts planning weeks and months in advance getting a full idea of the layout of the event. But make no mistake, she is an artist, and knows the flow of the day and what ultimately will make great shots. Don't be afraid to give her control. She knows how to make everyone look great, and will make your shots the most impressive remembrance of your day. Her style is impeccable and we will let her artistry speak for itself if you look on her Instagram and Facebook pages. What we need to add is the loving care she approaches your wedding with. It was so incredible to not only have such an incredible artist capture our moments, but also that her personable, caring, and sincere style really made us and our guests feel so at home and warm. We could not imagine a better experience than what we had with Melanie and Josh. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone without hesitation. -

Lauren Sent on 10/20/2017Choosing a wedding photographer was one of the hardest decisions for me. I knew that many decisions throughout the wedding planning process wouldn't really matter after the big day. However, pictures would be something I could look back on forever! I spent weeks to months researching photographers in the Nashville area and talked with many friends about their experiences. I found Melanie's information online and sent an inquiry. She quickly got back to me with information on packages and pricing and wanted to set up a time to meet. I was trying to plan the wedding from 9 hours away so we ended up having a phone conversation. She seemed super easy and fun to work with and it just so happens that she was free the day of my wedding AND also the one weekend I would be in town for engagement pictures. When I got our engagement pictures back I was blown away by the pictures she took of us in Downtown Nashville - I knew she would do an excellent job with the wedding. I was right, I absolutely loved all our pictures and was surprised by how many she had edited and uploaded to our online album for us to look at. She spent the entire day with me and my bridesmaids taking pictures leading up to our wedding and was right with us throughout the reception. I am so glad we chose Melanie to photograph our wedding and I cannot wait to see our wedding album!

Emily Sent on 09/26/2017Okay y'all. If I could give this fantastic lady a million gold stars I would do it! My husband Adison and I started off our relationship with Melanie when I randomly found her online and asked if she was willing to shoot a fly-by-night engagement shoot for us in our favorite city (Nashville, TN) on our spring break trip. She responded with "I will do just engagements for you, sure. But you're gonna love the pictures and want to book me for your wedding, I promise." BOY was she right. Our engagements turned out fantastic so we booked her for our wedding to which she came ALLLL the way to Fort Worth, Texas for. She brought her hubby as her second shooter and they made a trip out of it. We got amazing wedding pictures and they got to see a city they'd never been to! I tell y'all this so you can see that Melanie will travel to take your pictures! Don't let location limit you. Booking Melanie for our wedding was the best decision we made because my photos were THE most important and biggest priority to me. She made sure I got all the photos I wanted. I trusted her to do her job and she ran with all her natural skills. She's so incredibly creative and her eye and attention to detail is amazing. She's the kind of photographer that takes the photos all brides look at in magazines and go "Can that be me?". With Melanie behind the lense it can, ladies!
My husband and I are both relatively awkward in front of a camera so it was important to me that we had someone we were comfortable with, Melanie was perfect for that. By the end of it all I think we even had a little fun with photos, too!
Point blank: Melanie cares about you and your wedding. She really likes being a part of your special day and invests in her clients. She helped guide me and my timeline on the day of my wedding. Overall I just can't say enough good things about her. I consider her and her family friends as well as vendors. If you book her, I promise you will LOVE your photos! ❤️ -

I live a few states away from my daughter so I wasn't able to be there to help a lot, but she raved about how wonderful and helpful her photographer, Melanie was. When I met Melanie and her husband Josh at the wedding I understood why she loved her so much. They were so nice and helpful and knew exactly what needed to be done and when. Melanie helped keep my daughter Alisha on track with getting the photos she wanted and let me tell you the images are breathtaking. The wedding was gorgeous and I may be biased but the couple is too.. but the images Melanie delivered are definitely magazine worthy and something from a Fairytale. Thank you Melanie for making my daughter's wedding dreams come true! -

What I appreciated most from Melanie as our photographer was how she put my bride at ease. Alisha was not worried at all about how our wedding photos would turn out and she often emailed with Melanie about other things. We had a tough year while trying to plan our wedding and Melanie really made planning more fun for Alisha. She sent her encouraging messages, and for that I am thankful. We found Melanie almost by accident and from the very first phone call, I knew that she was the photographer that I could trust to capture all of the special moments of our wedding day. Since we live in Pittsburgh, we had a lot of phone calls and emails to plan things out, but Melanie was always available and easy to reach. Her attention to detail throughout this whole process was incredible. From the thoughtful Christmas card and framed wallet photo from our engagement session to the pre-wedding care package, Melanie was so thoughtful and made us feel so special. She was a trooper on the day of the wedding when things (and family members) didn’t always go according to plan. We are so happy that Melanie agreed to shoot our wedding! -
