  Nothing Short of Amazing

  Mel was recommended to us by a friend and we are so glad that we chose her! For two people who would rather be behind the camera rather than in front of it, she made us feel so comfortable. She was adaptable to any photos we wanted and even offered to drive further than usual just to accommodate us with our engagement photo location! Her expertise is evident when you look through her catalogue! Response times are quick and even turn around times on the photos exceeded our expectations! We are SO thankful we found her and plan to use her for our photo adventures in the future!

  Amazing!!!!

  If you are looking for the BEST photographer there is- look no further because MEL COLVIN IS IT!!!! My husband and I got married May 2022 and Mel captured our day better than I could have ever imagined. She is the most kind, talented, thoughtful, organized person I have ever met. She made sure she did everything in her power to make sure we felt comfortable and our day was as stress free as possible. We put together a timeline and list of photos we absolutely wanted, to ensure we captured everything and nothing was forgotten or missed on the day of in the middle of everything going on. Her work and editing? ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. I’ve gotten so many compliments on our photos. I could go on for hours raving about Mel!!!! She is just the absolute best in the industry!

  You MUST hire Mel!

  My husband and I got married in Oct 2021 and Mel was the absolute perfect choice for our wedding day. From our first phone consultation, to planning a month or so out, to the actual day she was professional, organized, and a ton of fun to work with. My favorite thing about Mel was her goal was to keep the day as stress free as possible. She did this by helping put together a timeline for the day, as well as a list of all the photos my husband and I wanted taken. When it came to photos she was able to call in the correct groups and got it done in no time. We recently got our photos back and they are perfect! Everything is exactly what I had hoped for and more. Her editing enhanced the colors of the photos and everyone looks amazing. I would highly recommend hiring Mel for your wedding as she was so much fun to work with!

  Excellent Job

  My husband and I got married 10/22/22 down by the water in Bristol. Mel was our choice for both our engagement shoot and our wedding and I am so happy with her work. We love her style and her ability to capture true emotion on both our faces and those of our guests. We signed up for a package with an engagement shoot and a 2nd shooter for 8 hours. Her and her 2nd shooter took many candid photos of guests and after the fact my family spoke highly of how they had never known she was there taking photos and of her professionalism. I recommend Mel to anybody getting married or doing a regular photoshoot. She was even able to crack a smile on my stoic husband :) Just ordered some prints and can't wait for them to come in.

  Amazing photos, amazing experience

  My husband and I heard about Mel through many different friends and family members who highly recommended her. After looking at photos both on her Instagram and on her website, we knew right away we had to book her for our own wedding. She is, hands down, one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding. Mel was super responsive, flexible, friendly and incredibly easy and fun to work with. My husband and I will cherish our photos forever. We cannot recommend Mel enough for your big day!

  5 Stars does Mel no justice. She is beyond measure!

  Mel was my wedding photographer through three cancelled covid dates. We finally were married on September 25th. The customer service with Mel is rivaled by her amazing photographic eye. My biggest problem now is that I want to have prints of ALL of my photos - ALL of them. She has made it virtually impossible to narrow down! From getting ready to end these photos are pure MAGIC! I have to say I am very hard to please with my photos, I am critical of myself and just a tough critic on poses etc. If she can MORE than please me CONSISTENLY from Engagement Portraits to Family Portraits to Wedding photos - trust me she is unmatched!
  Her spirit is who you want around you always never mind the day of and that to me is just as important as the prints. She was not just my photographer she was part of my day and really our story. You can't put a price or give a number of stars for that.. that, is priceless. She is, simply put, THE BEST.

  AMAZING!! The best wedding photographer we could have asked for.

  Mel and her assistant were absolutely amazing and our pictures from the wedding were absolutely beautiful and captured so many moments that we will cherish forever. We laughed, and we cried just looking at the pictures bringing back so many special moments and seeing so much emotion And LOVE in every picture. A picture is worth a thousand words is so true, and Mel just nailed it!!! I can't say enough, but trust me she is the best you will not regret booking her for any of your needs.

  Amazing experience!!!

  Working with Mel was a truly magical experience. She is professional, flexible, understanding, kind, and firm when she needs to be! She was nothing but understanding when I forgot about our engagement photo session and had to reschedule day of. She worked with us through COVID and changed our package as needed throughout the whole experience. She was one person I knew I could count on throughout the wedding planning process. Being a COVID bride was one of the more stressful times in my life, and Mel helped me not only get through it, but enjoy it. I cannot thank her enough. She is truly one of a kind. Also, forgot to mention the photos were like nothing I had ever seen before! They were the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen! She caught the most precious moments that were not planned, like when my husband popped the champagne and I jumped out of my boots! And now we will never forget those small moments because of the picture she was able to capture!

  Mel is fabulous! She was the photographer for our wedding in October 2019 and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. She is attentive, responsive, organized, detail oriented, and a pleasure to work with. She made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and had a great time wrangling the children in our wedding party (three kids under the age of 8!). Mel provided us with a teaser of our wedding pictures less than a week after the wedding and the teaser included more than 20 pictures! And they are stunning! We recommend Mel highly and will use her every single time we need a photographer. Thank you Mel!!

  Mel was an absolute PLEASURE to work with for my wedding this past November. Her business came highly recommended from a work colleague who had also used her wedding photography services and I am so so glad that were able to book with her. Mel is incredible easy to work with. She has great presence, is very fun and easy going and extremely professional. I've followed her instagram page and her facebook photography page and I love how she interacts with her clients and posts updates on her beautiful work.
  When we had to change up our whole wedding due to Covid, Mel was very responsive and again so easy to work with. She made the entire process of switching venues effortless. You will absolutely not regret having Mel or her team with you on your special day or any day. Also, shoutout to Mel's assistant who was also a pleasure to work with. She was very friendly and easy going and the two together made for a great pair.
  Beyond Mel being a great person and someone you would be happy to have with you on your special day, she takes AMAZING photos. I was in love with our engagement photos so I knew our wedding photos would also be great, but I was in shock. They were so so beautiful!!!   Helped Make a CRAZY Wedding Day Memorable

  From the minute my husband and I met with Mel we felt like old friends. She was warm and genuine and she took the time to get to know US. She was wonderful to work with, flexible, honest and caring. Our wedding day was a day full of "anything that can go wrong, will go wrong" and Mel didn't waiver. She stayed calm, kept me calm and was right by my side (Along with her wonderfully sweet assistant Amy) helping me with anything I needed. She entertained all of the fun and crazy shots that I insisted on getting and even caught a few of her own. Our family and friends at our wedding said it best, "They felt like family guests at the wedding and made us all feel comfortable." I would and have recommended Mel to family and friends. We love her.

  Mel is the Best!

  Mel is an incredibly talented photographer! She captured moments between myself and my husband that took our breath away. Right from the beginning she was so easy to get along with and really wanted to get to know us as a couple. She was totally open to our ideas which included an engagement photo shoot on ice! Throughout the shoot she helped us relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Leading up to our wedding day she was always available to answer questions for us. We met up to create a photo shot list before the wedding day so we had a timeline for things. We both have large families and she was able to get our formal photos done in record time. Mel also had a second shooter with her to make sure she captured all the moments during our wedding. We had tons of fun mario karting around to different spots at our venue to take pictures of my husband and I before cocktail hour. Through out the night Mel caught beautiful moments and we especially loved our night shots! We can't say enough about Mel and know we will treasure all the photos she captured for the rest of our lives! Greg and I will definitely be going to Mel Colvin Photography for all our future photo needs!

Not only was she extremely professional during the day, she also was SO wonderful at keeping a nervous bride calm. Her creative eye took our wedding photos to a new level of gorgeous. She exceeded our expectations and words do not do enough justice! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, talented photographer.

  If your looking for an outstanding photographer, Mel Colvin is it. She and her assistant captured the essence of the bride and grooms love and the photos that we got were absolutely breathtaking. She did get some very unique pictures and it was all done beautifully. I couldn’t be more pleased with her work from beginning to end. You will not regret hiring her.

  There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful Mel is. From our first meeting to the wedding day, she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She took the most beautiful pictures of me and my husband and captured our special day perfectly. I can’t wait to schedule another photo session with her!

  Mel is magic!

  Mel photographed our wedding at Southwick's Zoo in August of 2018 and our photos are so dreamy. We were lucky enough to get married on a beautiful sunny day, but the way she captured that sunlight in every photo was just breathtaking. Personally, I hate having my photo taken, but she makes it such a fun and relaxing experience, I didn't mind at all. We shared a ton of laughs, particularly when a sassy ostrich tried to bite my husband! On a personal note, Mel is one of the warmest and kindest people you will ever meet. She is super accommodating and was more than willing to work with us when we had to reschedule our original wedding date. We'll be calling Mel for all our our future photography needs!

I couldn’t be happier with our photos from our wedding day! I was worried since it rained a little but Mel took that and ran with it and the outcome was some of the most GORGEOUS photos I’ve ever seen!   Mel is an absolute DOLL. We booked her for our wedding in July and our engagement shoot was so amazing and FUN! We have so many candid photos to choose from (I used two on my save the dates from minted). Her bubbly, smiling personality makes you feel comfortable. Professional to the max, we met for lunch in Cumberland to go over package options and she responded right away to messages. I cannot wait for our big day! Mel is hands down the most genuine, creative wedding photographer out there!

Mel arrived on time with her second shooter and they immediately got to work capturing the day! Both she and her second shooter were never intrusive, but were always there capturing beautiful moments that I didn't even remember happening! We just received our photographs today and they are absolutely STUNNING!Her work honestly does speak for itself! I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to work with Mel during our wedding. She's incredible at her job and truly loves her clients. I would highly recommend her to capture any of your life's precious moments!!

  Mel couldn't be sweeter! She made us feel so comfortable. The pictures she took came out better than I dramed they would. She is always positive and gets back to me within a day of contact. She's original and most importantly genuine! I can't wait to see what she has in store for our wedding!
