Megan nailed what we were looking for in a photographer. I wanted pictures in the moment, capturing the venue, guests and what we were feeling. Megan was so wonderful! We ended up deciding to do our shoot pretty last minute and luckily Megan was able to fit us into her schedule. She was so sweet and made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole process! I sent her a vision board of shots I was hoping to capture and she was so receptive to my ideas and made sure we got all the images I was hoping for. We had an amazing time shooting with her and were so happy she was a part of our day. We received our photos back quickly and I loved them all!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We were in a panic when our original photographer canceled on us right before our wedding on 8/1/25. We were scrambling to find someone for our destination wedding in Costa Rica, and finding Megan was the greatest stroke of luck we could have asked for. She didn't just step in; she stepped up and completely blew us away. From the moment she arrived at the Andaz, she was professional, calming, and ready to capture all the important details. What truly sets her apart is her artistic vision.
We didn't want generic wedding photos, and she delivered pure art. She used the stunning backdrop of the Andaz beach and the Costa Rican lushness perfectly, playing with light and composition in ways we never imagined. The photos look like they belong in a magazine. When we received the full set, we had family members truly brought to tears.

She’s incredibly talented at what she does in every way. She effortlessly capture the energy, emotion, and vibe of the day. Every photo feels alive, like it brings you right back to that moment. She didn’t miss a single detail—capturing all the key moments, the special shots I had requested, and the beautiful ceremony and reception décor that I’ll cherish forever. Looking through our gallery now, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the way she told the story of our day.
Megan’s warm and classy professional style made her a joy to work with from start to finish. Her fun and friendly personality immediately put me at ease, which was needed as someone who isn’t used to being in front of the camera or the center of attention. She made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable, which definitely came through in the photos.
She’s just the best out there, and I did a bit of wedding photography myself. If you’re considering her for your wedding, don’t hesitate—she’s a true talent and a wonderful person to have by your side on your big day.

My husband and I recently eloped in Costa Rica. I had never even been out of the country before this so finding a photographer in a different country made me so nervous. I did a few google searches and found Megan's website. I immediately emailed her! I am SO glad I did. She made the whole process so easy. She was quick to respond to my emails and questions and made me feel so comfortable doing something outside my comfort zone. She is affordable, professional, friendly, down to earth, and incredible at what she does. She quietly zipped around during the ceremony grabbing the best shots. It was easy to forget she was even there. After our "I dos", she helped guide us into some amazing shots and also let us take the lead with any ideas we had. We had our photos within 4 weeks, and THEY ARE AMAZING. I literally cannot recommend her enough. ♥️Megan McCullor Photography's reply:

Megan shot our wedding in May in Santa Teresa and she was amazing! She was extremely professional, easy to work with, and had great communication leading up to the wedding.
She knew exactly which shots to take leading up to the ceremony, during the ceremony, and after. It was so easy having her around and the photos themselves were absolutely stunning.

Megan shot our wedding in Santa Teresa April of 2024. She was amazing!! We would absolutely recommend her to anyone getting married in Costa Rica!
She was so thoughtful the entire day, and made sure to get all the specific shots we had requested while still making it fun! She was great at helping us feel comfortable and relax in front of the camera. We loved spending the day with her!

Megan photographed our rehearsal dinner + wedding in CR, and she made the entire process so fun, easy and comfortable for two people who don’t love being in front of a camera 😆 She perfectly and candidly captured us. Megan did an AMAZING job photographing our wedding in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica!! Having a destination wedding (we are from the states) is no easy task, but she went above and beyond from the get go, responding quickly to us via phone/email, clarifying beforehand our wishes for photos via a questionnaire, but also using her wonderful creativity of bringing our vision to life!!! She loved her energy so much even before meeting her, that we asked her to shoot our welcome party two days prior to the wedding as well. She is a beautiful professional, let alone human being. Loved our photographer!
Megan recently did our elopement photos and I was literally speechless seeing our pictures! She captured the day perfectly and she also managed to capture so many little moments - some of our best photos were the candid shots! Seeing the pictures brought back so many emotions from the day. They turned out better than I expected. She is so incredibly talented and such a sweet person. We had a great time during our shoot, laughing and joking. Everything about it was so natural and fluid. Megan shot our Costa Rican elopement and truly did an incredible job. She kept in constant communication with us all the way up to the day of our ceremony, despite being in a different country. On the day of the wedding Megan was extremely easy to work with and moved with the flow of the day, never stopping us to setup a generic posed photo. We’re pretty adventurous and don’t like to sit still, and that didn’t slow Megan down one bit. We were climbing logs in the waves and throwing a football all around the beach and it was all photographed beautifully. She captured our most authentic selves and allowed family and friends to view the photos and feel like they were right there with us. In the end we placed a lot of trust to Megan to do her thing and she absolutely nailed it. -

Megan was the perfect wedding photographer for me. Generally, I don't like having my picture taken--I get very tense, and I rarely feel like I look like myself.
When it was time to pick a wedding photographer, I needed someone who could help me with that. And I needed someone who could get all the group photos efficiently. And I needed someone who could capture the energy of the day.

Stop your search. Hire Megan, ASAP. Best money we spent for our wedding.
I could never say enough about how much we loved having Megan as our wedding photographer! We planned our wedding in Costa Rica, 2,000 miles away, and Megan made it simple and easy.
She made our wedding weekend so fun and sweet and was willing to get up before the sun to shoot our sunrise yoga session. Her ability to capture light and emotion is so moving, and we will cherish her extraordinary talent forever! She was so quick to get back our wedding album, and my husband and I both had tears in our eyes reliving our special day through her photos. Comfortable and Natural
Megan is the BEST! She made me feel so comfortable and just let me be myself. She gave me guidance on what would look good. We love Megan!
We are so grateful to have had Megan shoot for our wedding Tamarindo in March 2020. From the start, she took the time to get to know us and our big day prior to – even down to the little details that hadn’t even occurred to us. My husband and I were/are pretty clueless when it came to photography, but we knew we loved Megan’s shots and how she is able to capture the beauty of love and nature together. She did an awesome job of explaining and guiding us in choosing what we did and didn’t want so we would have a little of everything. We are so grateful for that! She is so sweet and easy to work with, never over-bearing and really just fit right in with our group! Needless to say, our photos turned out BEAUTIFUL- I was (and still am) blown away with how amazing they are! We have one particular group photo with everyone at the wedding that is probably my favorite picture in the world. We have it framed in our living room- and guests always comment on how beautiful it is or look back and remember how much fun we had that day! Truly all of our photos exceeded our already high expectations. I never get bored of looking through them reliving our big day. Highly Recommend Megan!!
We hired Megan to photograph our wedding in Esterillos, Costa Rica mid-March 2020. I was initially intrigued by Megan when I saw her gorgeous and unique photos on a blog I stumbled upon about weddings in CR, and I am SO glad I did - I cannot say enough good things about her. From the get-go, she was incredibly responsive and friendly. She took the time to ask questions about me and my (now) husband and consistently made us feel like she cared and was invested in helping to make our wedding day perfect. When I finally saw the photos she had taken, I was speechless. She managed to capture all the emotions of the day, things I hadn't had time to notice myself. Not only is she great at photo composition, manipulating the lighting, and capturing candid moments, but the emotion she is able to portray through her photos is stunning and brought me to tears! Megan photographed our elopement in January of 2022. The photos she took are absolutely gorgeous AND they were delivered to us quicker than expected. We are so happy to have such amazing photos from the big day. When we met Megan, it felt like seeing an old friend. Not only was Megan extremely friendly during our wedding day, she also made us feel confident and had a lot of creative ideas that obviously paid off.
