Amazing & comfortable

For my wedding pictures I worked with Chris & Frank and shared my ideas on what I wanted to do for hair and makeup & I must say they made it come to life ! I absolutely loved it ! Very professional and clean. So pleased with there services I booked them for my next photoshoot :)

A Fun Team!

I was nervous about arranging hair and makeup services from out-of-state. But my fears were unfounded. Three makeup and hair artists came to our house to provide professional hair and makeup for the bride and two bridesmaids. They were on time, good at their-job, and a lot of fun. Price was very competitive, since they are located half way down the keys (vs Key West or southern Florida).

I can't say enough fabulous things about him.

Chris and Frank are amazing! They worked with me short notice and were amazing. I was just looking to get fantastic vacation photos and a great night out and Chris did not dissapoint. I will absolutely hire him again. Fantastic people. Show stopping makeup.

Made me look like a movie star!

Frank was great at finding out in advance how I wanted to look on my wedding day. He sent me a great checklist and went out of his way to make sure the process would be convenient for me. Chris was my stylist and I couldn't have been happier with both my hair and makeup. I don't wear much makeup normally, so I would have never achieved my wedding day look without him. I highly recommend Medusa's Mane Hair and Makeup!

Everything you you'd want for your special day

Just had my hair done by Chris . Fantastic cut ! Made me look at least 15 years younger! And what an artistry and precision.
My hair is very unruly and I do not spend a lot of time styling. Chris did a magic and I don’t have to fuss to look my best. I will be the best looking, (next to the bride) one there.

Chris and John were absolutely the BEST, It was so lovely to work with them and they worked wonders with our hair. I had two bridesmaids with really short hair and one with really long, thick hair and they made them all have flawless, textured buns, even on the girls with super short hair. They delivered just what I'd asked for! I Would definitely recommend Medusas's Mane Hair and Makeup for other bridal parties :) Thank you again!!!!

Fantastic service!

Hired them for my wedding in Marathon, Chris and John were fantastic to work with. They made us laugh and felt very comfortable. They did exactly what we had asked for! I can not say enough great things about them. I would highly recommend them very professional and genuinely nice guys!

AMAZING!! Absolutely made my wedding day

I don't think I've ever laughed and had such a great/fun time while getting my hair done EVER!!! What can I say other than this was the best experience and only made my wedding day that much better. I was almost late to my own ceremony because we were having such a great time chatting away!!! Side note: I've also stayed at the motel Frank runs (Siesta Motel) which is absolutely LOVELY!! If you're ever looking for a quaint little place to stay in Marathon! Thank you soooo much! I might stop at the shop just to say hi next time I'm in Marathon! You guys are the best!

This team was amazing!

I feel so blessed to have connected with this vendor. Chris and John were delightful to be around and made all of us feel special and beautiful. We felt like family after our experience!
It was so nice to not have to leave our room to travel to a salon. This is the only way to go with hair and makeup!!

Perfect hair and makeup

The stylist arrived on time. Brought all his own equipment. And did my hair and makeup perfectly all within a short time and I felt beautiful. I would recommend them and I loved my hair and makeup. My mom also had her hair done and looked beautiful. It was nice that he came to me.

Very Happy with our Experience!

I highly recommend Medusa’s Mane!! Frank, Chris, and John make the perfect team. Their communication is top notch. I highly recommend doing a trial session. It really helps figure out what you like and what will work well. The day of the wedding Chris and John really listened to what we were looking for with hair and makeup! Everyone loved their looks! Also, Chris saved the day by being the only person at the resort to be able to tie the grooms bow tie!! Thanks again.

AMAZING from first contact to the day of!!

I could not be happier with how my hair & make up along with my bridesmaids and mom's hair and make up came out!! From communicating with Frank to working with Chris and his partners was just fantastic! They were one of the first 5 hair and makeup vendors I contacted. But Frank was the FIRST one to actually call me rather then just only email me back. I loved that because it was direct communication and he answered all the questions I had. My girls and mother absolutely loved their hair and makeup and did not feel rushed. I showed Chris what I was looking for and delivered !! I wish he could do my makeup all the time!! haha! But really...they timed everything perfectly!! Thank you to Frank and Chris and team so so much again for making this day go smooth and for making me look AMAZING on my wedding day :-)

Medusa's Mane is the absuloute best! These guys took care of me on my special day to the fullest! My hair and make up were exactly as I asked for. I traveled to Marathon, Florida from Memphis, Tennessee to have my wedding so I was a bit uneasy choosing someone, so many miles away, for my hair & make up. From the moment I called Medusa's Mane to the time my hair and make up were completed on my wedding day, I knew I had picked the best guys for the job! Medusas Mane hair and makeup made getting ready on our wedding day absolutely perfect! Johny made my hair look absolutely fabulous and I have never felt more beautiful once he was done with my makeup. My photos turned out amazing, no shiny face (even in 89-degree heat in Key West)! My mother's hair and make-up turned out so wonderful as well, I have never seen her look as amazing as she did on my wedding day! Frank was excellent from the very first phone call I made. He kept in contact and called me when he or the stylist had any questions leading up to my big day. John, my stylist, was wonderful and provided some "much needed" comic relief throughout the process. My sister and mother LOVED him as did I. Would definitely recommend them! I was stuck last minute when my hairstylist had a family emergency and could not do my hair for my wedding. I called medusa's 5 days before and they were available. My hair was beautiful. Chris us a true professional. Fast and efficient!! Everyone commented on how beautiful the hair style was and how well it went with my bohemian beach theme. Absolutely the best!!!

Frank was wonderful and patient in the planning process. He answered all of my questions. Chris and his partner were phenomenal on the day of the wedding. They made it a relaxed environment and all of the girls and I looked incredible. Chris let us keep our lip gloss for touch ups and gave us tips and tricks for everyday makeup. Great people, wonderful job!

My hair and makeup was absolutey perfect! I had no problems with running mascara or issues with foundation due to the heat. It looked natural and held up to the heat of a Florida wedding. I can't say enough great things!!

We were more than happy with Chris and the team! They made it so much fun and every girl had their own look that encompassed their personalities, which was what we were going for. Our wedding was on the beach at the Key Largo Bay Marriott, and we were worried about our hair and makeup lasting through the typical Key Largo September humidity and heat. So, my girls and I opted for updo's and airbrush makeup. Chris and the team did such an excellent job, that our hair and makeup remained intact long after our reception was over! Thank you for making me feel like a princess on my wedding day. With Medusa's Mane we certainly got the royal treatment!

I call Medusa's Mane The Dream Team.. My bridal party and I were pampered and beautified by a team of three hair & makeup professionals. They were on time, easy to work with, convenient because they came to us, accommodating to the space we offered, used top of the line products, and most importantly we looked gorgeous!!! I love the way I looked. My hair & Makeup stayed throughout the entire night. My now husband's first words to me when I got to the alter was "You look beautiful babe". To me that's all I needed. Their prices are by far the best for the kind of service they offer. If you want to relax and drink mimosas while Chris and his team make you beautiful book Medusa's Mane for your hair & make-up. Chris was wonderful! He did the hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as my matron of honor's hair and makeup. He could not have done a better job. Our makeup and hair was perfect and lasted long into the night. The fact that he came to us instead of us going to him was a huge bonus. Frank, his partner, is great too. Both were awesome to work with and if we are ever down in Key West again for an event, I certainly want my hair and makeup done again!

You want Medusa's Mane to do your hair and make-up for your wedding. Trust me. Chris, Frank, and John were absolutely AMAZING. They completely listened to my -- and the bridesmaids' -- requests and everyone looked gorgeous, but still like themselves. I received tons of comments about how fantastic my hair and make-up looked and I felt like a princess all night. In addition to transforming us, the team was super patient and flexible with several unplanned for add-ons, including the groom's mom and grandma who were delighted to be included at the last minute. I think what I appreciated more than anything else was that the Medusa's Mane team really understood what each girl (myself included) wanted and honored those requests. These guys are SUPER TALENTED and I couldn't endorse them more highly. I was red carpet ready. :) Thank you, Chris, Frank, and John for your wonderful work!

Chris was great!! I couldn't make it for a hair and makeup trial so I only had pictures of the wedding look I was hoping for. Chris produced that and so much more. He is very talented. The convenience of him coming to the wedding venue was wonderful. We had a nice time chatting while he did my hair and makeup, along with 2 flower girls and my sister. The hair and makeup lasted through the heat and humidity of the Florida Keys in June.

Chris did an amazing job with my hair and makeup for my wedding in July. I do not usually wear makeup so I wanted a natural look for the wedding but something that would not looked washed out in pictures. He gave me the look I wanted and my pictures looked amazing. My hair and the hair for my 3 little flower girls were so gorgeous. Having him come to me versus me having to go to a salon was so convenient as well. I cannot thank him enough for making my day as amazingly beautiful as it was!

I cannot say enough of a thank you to Chris, Frank and Amber of Medusa's Mane !!! Start to finish, this team of professionals was amazing! From the day I called for information regarding the bridal services I needed, I knew this was who was going to get my business. My hair and makeup turned out perfectly, as did my bridesmaids and my daughter's. It was just beautiful!!!Frank went above and beyond, calling and checking in with me a few times throughout our stay in islamorada to see if I needed help with any other area concerning my wedding and to make sure I was relaxed and stressed free.. Frank was helpful with scheduling my hair and makeup appointment. Once the day arrived, John was the stylist and makeup artist who worked his magic to transform me into the radiant bride (or at least that is what my Groom told me) I had always dreamed of being. The wonderful thing about Medusa's Mane is they come to you and work around your schedule.

Chris and his team did a fantastic job! They made me and my wedding party look beautiful. Chris came from marathon to key largo for me with no travel fee for both my trail run and my wedding day. I wanted them there at 8am on my wedding day and they showed up early and were very professional and fun! My hair and makeup was gorgeous! The white orchids Chris brought to place in my hair were stunning and lasted until the end of the night! I would strongly suggest booking them, they are great and I can't understand why they would have any bad reviews.

Chris, Frank, and their staff are some of the top hair and makeup professionals in the Florida Keys. I know this because I looked everywhere for the perfect folks. They're it.
I did a trial hair and makeup run with Chris about 2 months before the wedding. He took all of my wants into consideration and did a flawless job. Frank followed up immediatly and we signed a contract the next week.
On my wedding day, Chris arrived ready to work. He was professional and my hair and makeup came out flawless and in perfect time for my pre-ceremony photoshoot.

Frank and Chris did such an amazing job! I recieved so many compliments on my hair & makeup! I was so glad they had an opening as I planned my hair & makeup for the wedding a little late in the game. They were so easy to work with! I don't think I could've felt any more beautiful for my wedding. They came to Coconut Cove Resort and Marina (my amazing venue) to get the bridal party ready! I'm ecstatic with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend them! If you wany your hair perfect for your wedding or event use them!

The one word to describe Chris and Frank.... I LOVE THEM!!!!! They are the best at what they do. I hired them to do my make-up for my entire bridal party just a week before my wedding. I did a quick trial the night before our wedding and I recieved nothing but compliments on my make-up. The day of they kept us entertained. If you need someone to do your make-up they are flexible and came to us at the house we were getting ready at. If your ever down in marathon or the keys... call them!!!!

I had such an excellent experience with these guys. Frank and Janet arrived at my hotel promptly and ready to make us beautiful. Thanks to them, I looked absolutely stunning and also so very ME for my wedding. With almost no direction, my hair came out exactly as I envisioned and my makeup was so natural and pretty - perfect for a wedding on the beach. My sister and mother also had their hair and makep done and they too looked incredible. Both Frank and Janet were sweet, timely and professional. I highly recommend them!

They came to us which was a huge help! They did a wonderful job for myself and my wedding party, especially for the cost. Everyone had different styles and most of my party was happy with each of their end result! My hair was gorgeous however it didn't last long enough to make it past the first dance. But that didn't damper my night one bit! With the help of my photographer and one of my bridesmaids, they fished out all the pins and down came the hair!

Words can not explain how greatful I was to have them do my hair and make-up for my wedding. They are so talented and creative! I couldn't believe how I looked for my wedding. I felt so amazing. This company is based out of the Florida Keys and being that I live in Orlando Florida, I had to base my decision to book them, as my makeup and hair stylists for my wedding, purely on their website portfolio. They were just simply too far away to go for a trial run. I worked with Frank a lot ahead of time via phone calls, emails, and Pinterest. Frank was super pleasant with all of our communications, and really made me feel confident in my decision. Chris, the owner, and John were assigned as my wedding stylists. When the big day arrived, Chris worked on me and one of my Bridesmaids and John worked on my other Bridesmaids and the Matron of Honor. They arrived on time, were professional and a lot of fun to work with. My wedding party’s makeup came out so beautiful, we were extremely pleased. When I got to my final reveal, I was not happy with my eyelashes, but not to worry! Chris immediately removed them and put on a new set more suited to my liking. I was very happy with the end result and based on the look on my husband’s face when I arrived at the altar, he was as well. I would use them again in a heartbeat if I am ever in the keys for an event requiring hair and makeup.

Chris did such an amazing job! Medusa's Mane was fabulous--they came onsite for the wedding and took care of myself and each of my bridesmaids with precision and great professionalism. Makeup was amazing ! Let me start with that . Hair was good . Chris seemed great but as it come down to crunch time he seemed annoyed and or under pressure. I had hair pins that had gems in them that weren’t put in , and my sister ended up doing it after they left . We were crunched for time but still they weren’t even acknowledged . When my sister wanted her hair changed (not by chris ) is when chris’s mood seemed to change , which was felt by the entire room . He was quiet and reserved to begin with , but he seemed to get annoyed with my photographer a few times as well, which was super uncomfortable . The assistant was amazing and kept his cool and was super personable . If he hadn’t been with my hair dresser and makeup artist we would not have tipped additionally . He made our time amazing . He was great ! Chris was too , but not very talkative and seemed more and more annoyed as the day progressed

I would use again for makeup but not for hair . My mom and sisters hair looked super crunchy like a lot of hairspray was used and mine fell so quickly , I ended up taking it out 2 hours into my wedding .

But if your looking for a killer makeup artist .. they are your people !!

I loved the way my hair & makeup turned out for the wedding. Couple problems though. I had gone down to the Keys for a mini vacation (I live 8 hours away) & for a trial of my hair & makeup before the wedding. Trial day came as well as my appt. time and no one showed. I called and spoke to Frank and he did not know he had booked an appt. for me. It was confirmed over email and phone before I had even left for the Keys. Luckily, I was in the Keys for one more day and they were able to do it then. I received maybe a $20 discount for the error they had made and that was it. Weeks before the wedding, I had also confirmed services to be done, who all on, and the price. The wedding came, my hair & makeup was finished, and as I was slipping into my gown and receiving all the oooohhhhs & awwwwwss from the mothers and all my sisters, Chris came to collect and upped the price by $80. I said...hold on a second, no one told me the price changed. He said, "Frank didn't tell you?"I said no, I was never notified of a change in price. Let me just say that a bride only carries so much on the day of the wedding. I did not have any extra money with me other than the tips for the vendors. Luckily, my mother-in-law sprung for the extra $80. It was embarrassing to have to borrow money last minute. They do a fabulous job on hair & makeup but be sure to print out your agreement and bring it to the day they are performing services:trial run or wedding day, so that you don't find yourself in a jam.

Do not use for hair but make up was nice

I wanted to absolutely love the work I received on my wedding day but I was let down. I had also reached out to the owner after my experience to discuss my concerns but I was ignored. I was not offered any reimbursement or even an apology. The owner and his partner are VERY nice people, however, I feel as if they did not honor my choices. I won a last minute ceremony on Florida; I am from Missouri, so a hair trial was not available. I sent photos of myself and a very specific old Hollywood hairstyle I wanted. I specifically asked if this would be doable, as I know that the style I requested has some skill level needed to achieve. I was told they had done this many times and it would be no problem. First issue is that my hair took forever to get done. Chris showed up at 1:30 to do my hair and makeup. I was late for my own wedding!!!! The wedding coordinator came to get me at 3:45 to be ready to walk the aisle at 4:00 and my hair was still in pin curls!!! My style was not completed until 4:30 and everyone was waiting on me. Worst thing is that my hair was not what I wanted at all! My hair looked greasy, my part wasn’t straight and I had no wave to my hair. My MIL had to tell Chris twice to not put both sides of my hair up, as it wasn’t what I had asked for. I also asked to have a hair peice put in, which was not incorporated. Please see photos of what I asked for vs. what I got. My makeup was beautiful and highly suggest for that service. Unfortunately, when reaching out to the owner about my hair, I was not given any of the same respect I had when first booking. They refused any type of refund for being unhappy and making me late to my own wedding. I regret paying for my hair. I could have just done it myself and would have been much happier but I was trying to make my wedding day less stressful but instead had added stress for no reason.

No show and disrespect

I am extremely disappointed in Frank- he had agreed to do makeup for 3 of the brides family members, sent a contract, and then completely stopped responding. The hotel in which he works (as he won’t give you a direct line to reach him) repeatedly told me he knew he was coming, and that he would call me back. He never did, and then proceeded to lie and tell the individuals the morning of the wedding he was scheduled to take care of that he had told the bride weeks before that he was not coming. Complete disrespect and dishonesty that could have been avoided with a quick phone call and we would have made other arrangements. There are much better options for hair and makeup that do not cause unnecessary stress.

The ABSOLUTLY worse experience. Made my daughter cry on her wedding day. How sad is that. The girls that got done were a joke. One had purple eye shadow. One had mauve. One was supposed to be sunset. One girl had one eye done. And red lipstick made me look like a hooker on a street corner. And as for the hair. Wow. They tried to curl brides hair in long loose curls by the time she was done and back upstairs was already flat my granddaughter's hair took over an hour with curls by the time she was done she look like George Washington an hour later they tried to take it down and braided around the side of her head which was a joke these guys were the most unprofessional curse at my daughter and were asked to leave several times and we're almost escorted out by a 400 lb Puerto Rican if you do not want your wedding day ruined do not hire these guys

I booked Medusa's Mane on good faith after reading reviews. I did NOT enjoy my experience with them. I found the owner and one of the helpers to be incredibly rude.

I received an email from them with instructions, including how if I didn't want an updo that freshly washed hair was fine. Well, I didn't want an updo, just something simple and down, so I washed my hair that morning. When I first walked into the room, I was yelled at by Chris for having washed hair and the first thing out of his mouth was that he'll have to charge me extra to blow dry it. Since he came early, I replied that I was planning on doing it myself if given just 10 more minutes. He grumbled about it, and tried to look into his notes for proof he said not to wash my hair, but couldn't find it. Look right at the comment they provided to another customer - " Anyone getting a blowout/style should arrive with freshly washed wet hair. Updo's and everything else are better with "day old" dry hair if possible. If we have to blow dry hair before an updo there will be additional charges. Day old hair works best for updos giving a smoother appearance and will usually last much longer." There was confusion with a my husband's aunt and cousin who thought they could come to get their hair and makeup done as well. Mind you, they speak very little English. When Chris found out, he literally started complaining out loud, throwing his hairbrush down, and telling us he is going to charge us extra for them. I understand the extra charge, but it is flat out RUDE to act like that and it made them feel very uncomfortable. They sat in their chairs, feeling unwelcomed and really bad and uncomfortable. My mom had to take the assistant out of the room to tell them we're happy to pay for the costs, but please don't act like that. They spent a lot of time complaining about it, making the atmosphere tense, and saying they were not sure they could complete everyone on time. They ended up finishing 1.5 hours early despite the extra 2 people. While the hair and makeup turned out fine, overall it was not worth their behavior and I would not recommend them. A wedding preparation session should be fun and relaxing, not full of arguments and a diva stylist acting rude.

I booked the service because the reviews looked good, however, my experience was horrific. Chris was rude and unprofessional, made me feel very uncomfortable and, honestly, almost made me cry on my wedding day. I don't get upset easily, but this guy is something else. Be careful as you don't know which side of him you'll get.

A horrible company to work with. Total nightmare. I hired them a few months before my wedding and was releived they had availability. After paying more than the deposit requirement- Payment in full... they cancelled on me. 3 1/2 days before my destination wedding. They cancelled. It was unbelievable. I was so stressed out. I had to pick my payment up on the way to the keys. It was in an enveoped taped to the wall of a motel. I didn't even feel safe... so I suppose it was a blessing in disguise. Do not waste your time or money... do not contact them. Rude, unprofessional, unorganized, crass.... are just a few words I would use to describe them. Frank is the one who typed the type in our emailed version of a contract, but hand wrote it is his calandar under a different date. I felt lied to and completely disrespected. They weren't even cheaper than other artists. Thank God I found n amazing artist to help me out of the bind they put me in.
