We were thrilled with Bobbie. From the very beginning, her communication and organization was incredible. We were over the moon after she gave us her script for our ceremony and impressed with how easily she “read” us and was able to put together a script that worked perfectly for us. She stayed in touch to follow up with us, edited things upon our request, and arrived early with a smile the day of. We loved having her be a huge part of our wedding!

From the day we first met Bobbie over zoom we felt comfortable with her and having her perform our ceremony. She was always prompt to respond to emails or even jump on the phone. Whenever we had questions or suggestions for our ceremony script she was flexible! And when it came to the day of, she handled everything like a pro when our dj’s mic went out. She’s the best!

We found Bobbie a little over a month before our wedding. We only met with her a few times through Zoom but knew from our first meeting that she was who we wanted to work with! My *wife* and I had so many nerves going into our wedding day, and Bobbie helped soothe all of them. Her calm, professional demeanor was exactly what we were looking for to help our big day run smoothly. She was patient and flexible with us, and helped us through each step, asking questions to get to know us better and understand what we wanted. Bobbie Makes Your Special Day Special
Bobbie really did a great job making our son and daughter in law’s wedding very special. She met with them several times prior to the wedding to understand them and what was important to them on their wedding day. It really helped reduce the stress levels leading up to the big day and made the ceremony extremely memorable.
The day of the ceremony Bobbie communicated with them several times before arriving which was very comforting. The ceremony itself was so beautiful and Bobbie did an exceptional job making it personalized, thoughtful and memorable.

perfect LBI wedding
I have absolutely no words for how perfect our ceremony was. Bobbie was outstanding. There was not a dry eye in the house. Friends and family thought that we knew Bobbie for YEARS with how well she told our story during our ceremony. It really made it seem like she was there on the sidelines during our love story with how she told it during our wedding. We can’t thank Bobbie enough!! We planned our wedding in 2 months ans scrambled to find an officiant. Luckily Bobbi was available! She was sooo accommodating and flexible with our schedules. She talked us theought the whole process of doing and getting the marriage license, what to expect on wesding day, and even help coordinate some of our ceremony. She is so knowledgable, and has this loving ans caring personality. We had multiple video calls and really put us at ease. She goes through all various ceremony options to give you the perfect one. Our perfect ceremony
Bobbi helped to make our wedding day a dream come true. We wanted a shorter wedding that was focused on the love that we share. Bobbie put together the most beautiful readings that reflected everything we wanted in our ceremony.
Even before the wedding, Bobbie was always available. I called her a week before the ceremony panicking that I was forgetting things. She walked me through the entire ceremony, (Again) and assured me that everything was perfect and the ceremony would go flawlessly. She was absolutely right.

A Magical Experience
I don’t even know where to begin ~ Bobbie was incredible. I would recommend her to family, friends, and/or strangers in a heartbeat. We chatted with many potential officiants, but once we met Bobbie we knew she was the one for us. Not only did she guarantee that our ceremony would genuinely reflect who we are (which it did), she also provided us with ideas, reassurance, & validation that we didn’t even know we needed. She has the kindest soul and truly guided us to the magic that was our special day. She was available to us whenever we needed her, she was always on time and ready to go, she handled all of our paperwork to make it as stress-free as possible, and the way she treats people brings so much grace and elegance into a room. I am a BIG fan of Bobbie Ellis and would choose her over and over again to stand between my new husband and me on our special day. If you are looking for a sign, this is it!!! Bobbie was incredible to work with! She was so informed about the wedding ceremony and pre/post marriage license processes - it made what can be an overwhelming process feel easy. Bobbie was a great choice as an officiant for our wedding. We planned our wedding in two months and we had only asked her to be a part of our special day with four weeks to spare. Bobbie didn't skip a beat. Amazing Officiant!
Had the pleasure of working with Bobbie for our wedding in January. I’ve never been married before so I kind of just assumed that officiants just show up the day of the wedding and perform the ceremony. Bobbie was SO much more than that. She worked with my husband and I for months before the big day and meticulously customized a unique ceremony that fit us perfectly. She helped us write our vows (which I found super intimidating before working with her), and made us feel so comfortable even though we were both so nervous. I can’t say enough kind words about Bobbie and all she did for us. If I had to do it all again I’d still pick her every time.

When you can connect with your officiant, the person that is marrying you, in such a meaningful way, there is no bigger blessing!! My most favorite part of my wedding was the ceremony and the process in getting us ready.
I was specifically looking for a spiritual officiant. Bobbie was the way to go! When first working with Bobbie, she respectfully and mindfully interviewed us. She crafted a GORGEOUS ceremony. We had the freedom to make the ceremony our own. She practiced with my, now Husband, and I on two different occasions (so heartfelt). And leading into our special day, we prepared in advance and Bobbie remembered all of the intricacies.
We had the most gorgeous ceremony and Bobbie made it effortless!!! She also imparted a beautiful small gift for us as a couple. All of my friends and family can’t stop talking about it.

Attentive and Thoughtful
Bobbie was the officiant for our micro-wedding on August 23rd. From the beginning, Bobbie made sure to be as helpful as possible. We had several calls where we went over the wedding ceremony and she offered scripts to help mold the ceremony to fit our vision. She was very responsive over email as well. We felt more relaxed during the ceremony, not just because she helped us prepare, but because we knew that we were in good hands with her. We had a beautiful ceremony and are grateful that we chose Meaningful Ceremonies. I would not hesitate to recommend Bobbie to our family and friends.

Bobbie was SO great!! She came to our rehearsal which was so helpful for us to figure out how we would walk in. She kept me feeling so at ease and I think just her calm nature really helps to feel stress and anxiety free. Bobbie really took the time to understand our hopes for the ceremony and to make it super personal to us. She had a lot of great suggestions in order to include everyone. She is very patient and I kept telling everyone that she was my therapist because she was able to help talk out my stress factors and keep me at ease both the day before and the day of.

Excellent Officiant
Bobbie was a great officiant! She was so responsive leading up to the wedding. She provided us with a handful of ceremony options and was very open to some of the changes that we wanted to make. There was constant communication and we had multiple phone calls and emails to discuss the ceremony. She wanted to make sure that everything was exactly what we wanted and exactly how we pictured it. We wrote personal vows and Bobbie offered to review them, which was a great help as we received valuable feedback. We were very pleased with the ceremony and so were our guests.

Our experience with Bobbie was a very positive one. She is quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and saved us quite a bit of money by providing her own audio equipment to the ceremony. A perfect start to a perfect day!
Bobbie was great from the very start! Our first phone call put me at ease that she was the one to do our ceremony, and once we started going over the script for the ceremony itself and finishing up all the little details I was amazed as to how it all came together! Bobbi was also very helpful when it came to Andrew and I writing our own vows and put us both at ease when it came time to speak them aloud in front of each other. The ceremony was just as we had wanted it to be!

Bobbie was wonderfully supportive of everything we wanted. Ours was an interfaith Buddhist-Jewish wedding, co-officiated by Bobbie and Rabbi Ronald Broden. We hired both of them three weeks before our wedding, because we had been working with another officiant, but we realized at the last minute that he wasn't as like-minded with us as we originally thought. Even with the short notice, Bobbie swooped in like a nuptial fairy godmother and made it all better, taking the time to craft a unique ceremony that was all about us. She also coordinated really well with Rabbi Ron. Bobbie did an awesome job of representing the Buddhist spirituality side, and it's rare in our location to find an officiant that has a solid background in that area. She created a water-offering inspired unity ritual, and also led us and our guests through a moment of breath mindfulness (which I had specially requested) to get people to be present with us as we began the ceremony. Throughout our reception, we had people coming up to us and complimenting us on how beautiful our ceremony was, and specifically that they liked the water ritual and felt centered and calm after the breath meditation. It was exactly what we wanted, and we were so happy that others appreciated it too! Great job!

Bobbie was amazing!! We went into the process of finding an officiant blind and she made it so easy. She answered all the questions we had and allow us to do the ceremony we wanted for our wedding with some helpful advice and suggestions. She would respond quickly to my emails and made herself available. She also would check up on me as I was stressing over the wedding and let me know I had someone in my side and I truly believed she would help me anyway she possibly could. Bobbie was amazing. We weren't able to rehearse due to my wife been in the hospital and she went above and beyond and contact the coordinator to makensure my ceremony came out just how I wanted it. She made sure all the details were achieved and everything ran smooth. She helped me from the beginning till the end and even helped me write my ceremony program. This weekend we had a beautiful ceremony afficiated by Bobby and I could not have been happier. Her ceremony was personal and touching to all that attended. Bobbi very kindly agreed to take our ceremony with two days notice, the minister we originally booked had a family emergency and could no longer take our ceremony - we initially panicked, but as soon as Bobbi was in touch, our minds were put at rest, Bobbi was great!
She kept in touch, answering any questions we had, confirming arrival on the wedding morning, which really put my mind at ease considering we are from the UK!
Bobbi conducted a beautiful ceremony, we would recommend her to anybody thinking of getting married in NY!

Working with Bobbi was an absolute pleasure from day one. I really liked her personality and whole vibe as we were looking for someone with some spirit but not super religious. She was so easy to talk to and extremely accommodating. My husband and I run a business together and tend to get very busy and sometimes forget about things when we get caught up especially when trying to plan a wedding. She was so patient and pleasant even when we forgot something. The rehearsal dinner and wedding went perfectly and I would do it all over again if I could. My now-husband and I were searching online for a local officiant to perform our small elopement when we came across Meaningful Ceremonies. We emailed Bobbie to inquire about her services, and she promptly responded with a detailed, personalized message. We realized very quickly that she would work hard to provide the exact wedding we were looking for.
Her correspondence was both thoughtful and thorough, and she made sure that we were all on the same page every step of the way, from the length of the service, to the atmosphere and ambience of the ceremony, to the contents of our vows. Bobbie constantly verified that each detail fit our specifications perfectly.

We aren't a particularly religious couple, so we were so happy Bobbie was able to accommodate our needs. We haven't been in many weddings, so we were a little unsure of everything that went into the ceremony. But Bobbie was very helpful and made us feel at ease with the entire process!

Bobbie officiated our wedding on 10/30/16, I cannot say enough about how much of a warm, caring, and comforting person she is.
She emits nothing but good energy and helped sooth any wedding-day jitters that we may have had.
Incredibly flexible and responsive when it comes to the kind of ceremony you want and had wonderful suggestions that helped us solidify exactly the type of ceremony that worked best with who we are.

What we loved about Bobbie was her personal service to our relationship. She helped us work through differences so we both felt supported in how we wanted our ceremony to go, with me being more religious then my partner, we worked with Bobbie to come to agreements we would not have been able to alone! She works magic!!

Bobbie Ellis is GREAT! She is caring, helpful and truly poetic in her writing and delivery. The ceremony she created was absolutely beautiful. We can only say she is wonderful and we highly recommend her. We look forward to someday renewing our vows with her!
