My fiance and I had a really difficult time selecting a photographer, because we tend to prefer a very specific style of shooting and editing. We decided to go with Meagan Nicole because her website and portfolio completely fit our style. We we're absolutely not disappointed, she did a fabulous job! Because we live in Brooklyn, we asked if she would consider coming up to NYC and doing our engagement pictures in Prospect Park. Luckily she agreed, and we (and our parents) couldn't be more happy with the result! She has a great eye for details and overall natural light. She gives you the rights to the photographs (which means you can print them as many times as you want, or make albums through Shutterfly/ Snapfish) and uploads them to an online album (so your families can look at them as well). Oh. My. Gosh. I cannot say enough about Meagan. Where to start. We used Meagan for both our engagement and wedding shoot. The engagement photos were stunning, but the wedding photos (which we just got yesterday!) were STUNNING. I have gotten so many compliments from friends and family, but really I wish I could post a few here so you could see. They so perfectly captured the feelings of that day, the joy and the celebration. Her style of photography is so gorgeous, exactly what I was looking for. We also had Tori there for the wedding day as the second shooter and she was fantastic too. Meagan was always super responsive to our E-mails, always accommodated our requests, and even sent us a cute "care package" right before our wedding. I felt so well taken care of with her. I highly, highly, highly recommend Meagan and the rest of the team at Meagan Nicole. Simply the best.Oh. My. Gosh. I cannot say enough about Meagan. Where to start. Meagan does great work! She was super friendly, made us feel comfortable and listened to what we wanted. After that, she did what she does best and the results are fabulous! She knows exactly what she is doing and it really shows. I am slightly obsessed with our wedding photos, and that's exactly what I wanted to happen when I picked a photographer. We got married in a blizzard and that didn't stop Meagan from being there to capture it all. We have a reception with more friends and family in May, and I can't wait to see the magic she will produce then either! I will definitely be using Meagan for maternity pics, baby pics, and the list goes on! Can't say enough wonderful things about Meagan Nicole Photography and our experience!Meagan does great work! Meagan was our photographer for the wedding and she was wonderful! She is so kind and personable, and her pictures are just beautiful! Also for a budget savvy bride, Meagan offers so much in her packages. We were able to get 2 photographers, 8 hours on our wedding day, and engagement pictures for a great price! Meagan was so accommodating and flexible with us as we struggled to find a date to do engagement pictures when it wasn't raining! We've seen a little preview of pictures from our wedding last weekend and they are stunning! We cannot wait to see the rest! Thank you Meagan for capturing our day! Meagan was fantastic to work with - so sweet and has such a good eye for beautiful photos and light. Check out her portfolio -- her shots look so pretty and natural... a nice departure from some of the more stuffy photos you see with some other photographers. Our engagement photos turned out great and we're excited to receive our wedding album soon! She and her second shooter, Hillary, were snapping photos all day and coming up with interesting set-ups and detail shots that I know will turn out awesome. They ended up hitting unexpected traffic on their way to our wedding and were about 40 minutes late to the "getting ready" shots, but they were so apologetic and have offered free prints/canvas to make up for it. Her prices are VERY reasonable, especially for the quality of photos and amount of time/products that you get in a package. Meagan and Julia were great! I love Meagan's work and have followed her for some time. Just the way she captures the light and color in her photos are amazing. Our engagement photos came out amazing and can't wait to see the wedding photos. She sent a few preview photos to myself which was great! I love them so I can just image I will love the rest. My only constructive criticism would be that she could have been more outspoken on how we should pose or arrange ourselves in the photo. I knew what vision I was looking for but I was open for her suggestions as well. She seemed more reserved. But her photography speaks for itself and she is such a sweet lady to work with!Meagan and Julia were great! I love Meagan's work and have followed her for some time. We were married 09-19-15, and given a time line of 8-10 weeks to receive photos. 15 weeks later we received our photos and only updated on their delay when I asked after 10 weeks.
After viewing beautiful photos online we noticed no family group photos after ceremony. We were also given a total of 2 bridal party group shots out of the multiple taken.
I emailed about the photos, excuses were made stating they never existed. She claimed during the family photos they decided to “nix it” because a “rude” Uncle snapped photos behind them.. Family members bring cameras to weddings, and it is the paid photographer’s job to complete their hired duties. As for the missing bridal party shots, she stated that it was “bride brain” that I do not remember I “rushed” them at this time. She claimed that no more shots with the bridal party were taken including flower girl/ring bearer after ceremony. I had family cell phone pictures from this time showing the images with flower girl/ring bearer as well as bridal party shots. The excuses made were unprofessional.
After I sent her the cell phone shot her attitude changed. Eventually, she concluded that my missing family and bridal party photos were on a disk previously used. When loading the disk onto computer she saw another wedding and hit delete. After several emails she disclosed that she realized family photos were missing during those weeks of edits and apologized for not telling me this information, instead we had to discover the loss on our own. We appreciated the apologetic letter she sent me and eventually offered a Small refund towards $2k+ paid.
From the albums provided, we are pleased with the quality and amount. We were also pleased to see any photo edited into black and white on the album was followed in color. I understand photos can be lost in any situation, however, the lack of professionalism was uncalled for and my husband and I were the ones that suffered. Overall great photos, but disappointed.
