I do not even know where to start besides saying THANK YOU! If It was not for MDL Events my wedding day would not have been possible. MDL Events made it SO easy to book my photographer (Nicole Laing Photography), my videographer (Lighthouse Film co.) and my DJ (MDL Events). I managed to knock out THREE (3) vendors all in one! MDL was extremely good at communicating. they always reposed promptly if I had questions or concerns. Our DJ Chris was nothing short of amazing. He was very reliable. He kept our guest on the dance floor ALL. NIGHT. LONG. He really did play all the fun bangers, yet still made our wedding night special! Thank you MDL Events for making my wedding day the best day of my life! 1000000000/10 recommend MDL Events! -

We used MDL Events for both our photography and DJ services. I truly can't say enough good things about them. Nicole, the photographer, was responsive, easy to work with and incredibly helpful. She did a wonderful job capturing every detail and moment of our day, and she kept our timeline in tact. I don't know what I would have done without her! She's stellar at what she does, and I would highly recommend MDL Events! -

MDL Events made such an impact at our wedding! We hired MDL events through the KC wedding expo for photo/video for our destination wedding!
When trying to find the photographers and videographers for our wedding, we were not only looking for amazing talent but also that inspiring and ambitious personality behind the scenes. We are so lucky to have found this group and that they were willing to take the trip with us all the way to Mexico! We were excited to have someone from the states coming with us to our wedding.
As a bride, I can say that it was so easy to work with this group because they made everything seem so smooth and they transitioned so well. Nicole is so sweet and can capture the pure joy of a wedding day. Each and every photo we got back made us smile ear to ear. We were able to really enjoy all the little details that we may have missed on our wedding day because of the photos that she took. Also, I have never seen turnaround time so quick for wedding photos!!
Our videography team was an actual hype squad. They would show us little tid bits of video and just make us laugh and smile the whole time! They were even able to make my husband smile for pictures, which is not the easiest thing! Our video is so unique and different from any wedding video I’ve seen before and we’re obsessed! They were able to incorporate all the little details once again, to help us relive our wedding day. Also, I have never seen turnaround time so quick for a wedding video!!
We made the best decision by booking this group and we couldn’t be happier. They are amazing at what they do & incredibly fun to be around. We will 100% recommend them in the future.

Run, don't walk to schedule your photography, videography, DJ-ing needs with MDL Events. I can't say enough great things about this amazing crew! Every bride dreams of having the perfect wedding day, and having those memories captured beautifully. MDL Events truly made our dreams come true!
Nicole and Andrew are extremely friendly, warm and creative. They helped create a wedding timeline and ease a bride's worries when planning. They have specific packages with flexibility and were great communicators regarding pricing, expectations and timeframes.
Nicole and Andrew drove to Ames and shot GORGEOUS summer photos for our engagement, with so many options we loved. They made us feel comfortable all while capturing our love and laughter.
On our wedding day, MDL spent the whole day with us, keeping us calm and on schedule. They made me feel so confident and beautiful as a bride, made our wedding party have fun doing photos, and really captured the whole day plus some. We are so very thankful for Nicole, Andrew, Chris + their team and could not recommend them enough to any couple/family looking to work with experienced, thoughtful, nice, kind people.
We will continue to use MDL for all of our photography/event needs. Thank you MDL! -

If you are looking for an amazing photographer, videographer, and DJ – look no further! MDL Events has the full package and they far exceeded our expectations! They took the time to understand our vision and know what moments we wanted captured. The day went by so fast, but thanks to this team we can relive the moments forever! Nicole truly has a gift for photography – she is able to capture those special moments with great detail without you noticing she’s there in those moments.
Choosing MDL Events to capture our special day was the best wedding planning decision we made!

I don’t have the words to tell you how awesome Nicole and Andrew have been. We were so impressed with their professionalism and creative ideas for our session. My fiancé proposed in Arizona so it only seemed natural to have our photos taken there. Nicole and Andrew researched the area and found the most beautiful locations for our session. The whole process was a breeze and so much fun! We were extremely grateful for their willingness to travel to another state and capture this special moment with us. They have been an absolute dream to work with. During our engagement shoot they put us at ease straight away, we laughed lots and the photos turned out gorgeous. They managed to capture so many wonderful moments! We can’t stop looking through all the beautiful photos and sharing them with all of our family and friends. We highly recommend Nicole and Andrew at MDL Events. -

Will definitely recommend to everyone!
We contacted Nicole 4 months before our wedding on the Saturday before Christmas and she replied back within 30 minutes. Nicole was always responded within 24-48 hours. Andrew and Nicole were very flexible and amazing on the wedding day. They showed up early just to look around and pick out photo spots because they had never been to the venue before. We got our pictures back within a month. They sent us our photos on a flash drive in a cute little box. Nicole and Andrew will go above and beyond to make your day amazing just like they did for us! Will recommend them to anyone!! The best part is they bundle all services so you can knock out photography, videography, and DJ with one vendor (and save money) -

MDL Events was so perfect for us as we wanted a DJ, photographer, and videographer, and they offered all three! Their communication was exceptional. They always responded within 24 hours of every contact and were so easy to talk with. Plus, their familiarity with each other made capturing our entire day so smooth! MDL events was a great vendor to work with. They were very flexible and easy to get a hold of from the engagement sessions to the big day. It was really nice to have both the DJ and photographer together and the pricing is really reasonable. Photos are high quailty and DJ services include a mic for announcements. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend them for DJ and photo services. -

Hiring MDL Events to DJ our wedding (full day coverage) was one of our worst wedding decisions. They are completely unresponsive in the planning process. We were contracted to have one to two planning meetings and after our initial survey they never reached out to schedule the meeting. We and our wedding coordinator tried reaching out. They only responded when she asked what meal they wanted. They did not respond to us when we asked. No planning meeting occurred. They sent someone we were not expecting to DJ who came up to me as I was trying to do my first look with my dad to ask what kind of music we liked (which was on the survey and should have been covered at the planning meeting). They did not perform a sound check at the ceremony and the mics went out multiple times. Our readings are not in our wedding video as there was no sound going through the mic for any of them. Afterward, they skipped out on our cocktail hour, which we had paid them to be at. They referred to my dad as "Mr." when he is "Dr." repeatedly, something they could've known not to do if there had been a planning meeting. We had specifically requested no requests from guests, so the first thing they announced when the dance floor opened up was for guests to bring up requests. I hated the music most of the night and finally had to go ask for better music. Most of our requested songs weren't played. We reached out after and couldn't even get an apology. The icing on the cake was repeatedly trying to kick us off our own dance floor during the anniversary dance because they picked rules for us without checking how we wanted it done. Do your wedding a favor and just make a Spotify playlist.
