  We loved having Sherry Smith as our daughter's wedding coordinator! Seriously, don't know what we would have done without her! She listens to what the bride (and groom) want for their wedding and truly cares about every detail. She has good connections in the wedding field and will work to get you the best deals she can find. We highly recommend McKenzieKate Weddings for your upcoming wedding!

  We had the most glorious Wedding Day for our daughter and much of it had to do with hiring Sherry Smith! Sherry went above and beyond in making sure everything was perfect as details are her specialty! She was at our Venue extremely early, before anyone else and had already began decorating the chapel and the dining room as we had discussed and planned. The flow of the day was enjoyable for all, and being she was doing most of the work, along with the vendors, I got to enjoy the whole day before pictures and the evening ceremony with my daughter and family. I appreciated all the vendors she suggested as they were the best and very affordable...the cake, the flowers, and DJ were incredible! She made sure all the vendors were delivering or arriving on time and I didn't have to worry at all. The icing on the (Wedding ) cake was the amazing compliments we received from all of our friends after the Wedding on the Evening!! They were blown away! ......I would recommend her to anyone planning a Wedding! Thank you again Sherry!

  We retained Sherry to be our day-of-coordinator for our wedding. Sherry went way beyond what we ever expected or hoped for from a coordinator! She was organized, responsive, and the most detail-oriented person we ever could have hoped for. She made everything look easy! She took the stress off us, and helped us plan and time things in ways we never would have thought of. She has a calm demeanor, which is so helpful before and during weddings. The event went off without a hitch, thanks to her, and whatever little glitches that came up were taken care of without us even knowing about them. She did not stop for a second during the ceremony and reception, making sure everything turned out exactly as we had planned. All our guests commented on how perfect everything was, and we owe that to Sherry's professionalism and hard work. If you are thinking twice about getting a coordinator, don't! If you are thinking twice about hiring Sherry, we can tell you definitively that you'd be making a big mistake by choosing someone else. We were thrilled with Sherry's work and have no idea how we would have done it without her!!

  Sherry was incredible! We had her as a day-of coordinator and it was money well-spent. She guided us through the planning process and her vendor suggestions were great! It was such piece of mind knowing that she will take care of everything during the wedding day.
  She is flexible and held her cool on the big day. She discreetly checked in during the reception to see if we wanted to do our get-away. I was having so much fun dancing that I said "no" and she just nodded her head and went with the flow.
  She plans things 110% so that there is wiggle room on the day-of. Things went smoothly and I have no complaints with how the day went.

  Sherry was our wedding coordinator and she was AMAZING! We can't imagine having our wedding without her. She went above and beyond her duties, making sure everything was organized and communicated. She was there every step of the way to guide and support us. During the wedding I felt like I could just relax and not worry about anything because I knew Sherry had it covered.   Sherry Smith of McKenzie Kate Weddings coordinated our daughter’s wedding at the Columbia Winery this summer. It was Sherry’s hard work, experience, honesty, good humor and grace that helped make our wedding planning experience fun and low stress from start to finish! From our first meeting my daughter and I found Sherry to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful, while at the same time sensitive to honoring our vision for the event. She connected us with high quality vendors who saved us money, set a manageable timeline for us with lots of reminders and check-ins along the way, and cheered us on with warmth and humor. As the big day drew near, she intensified her involvement and worked as an intermediary with vendors, negotiating further and finding ways for us to save money, helping us avoid unnecessary hassles, and keeping all involved parties true to time commitments and duties. When my daughter’s wedding day finally arrived, Sherry was invaluable! She delivered, reminded, double-checked, monitored, set-up, tore-down, calmed, smiled, mended and orchestrated the entire event, freeing me to enjoy myself, laugh, dance and cry along with my family and friends. She brought a large suitcase to the winery containing every possible emergency tool and material we might need, from a hot glue gun with which she repaired a broken table number, to needle and thread to sew the bride’s slip into place between ceremony and reception. On that special day, she and her assistant painstakingly arranged decorations we had brought, and took such care that I think they were more concerned with how it all looked than we were! On top of all this, Sherry is a sweet, caring and funny person who got excited right along with us and, in the end, felt like a friend. Without reservation we recommend McKenzie Kate weddings.

She was by far the most professional and organized planner I talked to, and I could immediately tell that she wanted this to be our day and reflect our personalities rather than being the biggest or most extravagant wedding. My now-husband and I were across the country at grad school during the planning, but she was extremely prompt with e-mail responses as well as meeting with our parents. Her recommendations of vendors were spot on (especially our amazing food which people raved about) and she was great about letting us know where we could save money and where we should splurge. The day-of could not have gone more smoothly, everything went perfectly and followed the detailed timeline she had drawn up. I would recommend Sherry to anyone, even if you feel like you have everything under control with the planning, the amount of stress that Sherry took off my parents, husband, and I let us truly enjoy the whole experience.

  My daughter had a year to plan for her wedding but as the wedding got closer she had a hard time making final decisions. It got down to the last 3 weeks and I couldn't wait any longer so I hired Sherry to tie up the loose ends. If I hadn't hired Sherry to help me make the final decisions and run the show at the wedding and reception my daughter would not be married. Sherry is so organized and efficient. She new all the vendors we were working with. You could tell she had done this for years. She knows everything about planning a wedding from start to finish.   Sherry saved me on my wedding day! My family was able to enjoy the day without having to lift a finger other than smile for the photographer! She never stopped working. During our planning process Sherry was able to give us many ideas that we used and were glad for it. Every vendor she suggested was professional. No matter when I called Sherry, she made herself available and sometimes that was quite late in the evening. We made many changes throughout our planning, yet Sherry kept up admirably and made them happen. You would do well to hire at least a "day of" planner, but if you can hire one from the time you start planning it would be best. McKenzieKate Weddings uses an assistant, too, and we found her to be hardworking, professional, and pleasant to work with. Hire McKenzieKate Weddings, you'll be glad you did.

  Sherry saved me on my wedding day! My family was able to enjoy the day without having to lift a finger other than smile for the photographer! She never stopped working. During our planning process Sherry was able to give us many ideas that we used and were glad for it. Every vendor she suggested was professional. No matter when I called Sherry, she made herself available and sometimes that was quite late in the evening. We made many changes throughout our planning, yet Sherry kept up admirably and made them happen. You would do well to hire at least a "day of" planner, but if you can hire one from the time you start planning it would be best. McKenzieKate Weddings uses an assistant, too, and we found her to be hardworking, professional, and pleasant to work with. Hire McKenzieKate Weddings, you'll be glad you did.

  Working with Sherry through McKenzieKate Weddings truly helped bring the wedding day my husband and I had envisioned to life. Given that we had our ceremony and reception at different locations, it was critical for us to know that someone was on the ground and managing the details of the day. Sherry helped me think through all aspects of our wedding (from rehearsal to the morning after the wedding) and ensured that everything (literally, everything) went off according to plan. My family, my husband, and I were all able to focus on the big picture of the day and enjoy every moment. The only opportunity I can think of is that I should have designated a "point person" in advance for answering any day-of questions (as I had to make a few decisions before the ceremony that I would have preferred to delegate). I would highly recommend Sherry to anyone wishing to invest in a smooth, detail-oriented, and fabulous wedding day!

  Our experience with Sherry Smith at McKenzie Kate Weddings was simply amazing! From the affordability to high quality of service, we are beyond grateful to have found Sherry. Sherry's dedication and attention to detail made us feel like we hit the jackpot with her day-of services. She's incredibly organized, and her checklist covered every little detail we could think of and then some.

  DO NOT HIRE HER AS YOUR WEDDING PLANNER! We hired her to do day of plus wedding planning (more then day of, but less than full planning) and she was terrible. Our interview with her was great and she was fine for a few months (which is why we kept her), but then she became hard to reach, wasn't managing things as the contract specified, and complained about everything. She confused all of our vendors, was offended anytime you didn't like her idea, and made the wedding day very difficult. We planned every last detail ourselves to make sure it would go smoothly, but she was so incompetent that my mom had to spend the entire wedding day running around doing things herself and we missed our special time together. Even our bridal party attendants commented on how rude and dismissive she was at our rehearsal. Instead of solving problems, she created problems and was very difficult to work with. Many of our vendors commented on the wedding day that she was not available and were surprised at how little she was doing despite the fact that she claims on her website that she will really be there for you on the wedding day. We are so so disappointed with our experience and deeply regret hiring her as it led to many headaches before and on our big day.
