  Last Minute Elopement turned Fairytale

  I contacted MCG Photography with only 19 days until we planned to elope. They were incredibly fast and efficient without ever making us feel rushed to make a decision. Although after speaking with them I didn't need long to decide.
  I was provided a free consultation over the phone the very next day. They were exactly what we needed (a true elopement with no one but us) at a price no other photographer even came close to.
  Corrie made sure to ask plenty of questions so that day of it really felt like her and her husband already knew us and what we wanted. She planned a walk through downtown Charleston to capture all of our favorite spots and every single thing I asked for (poses/locations/style) they delivered.
  We were provided a handful of sneak peak photos to be able to share the very next day with our family and friends. And they delivered the remaining photos in less than half the time they originally told us.
  The amount of access you get to the photos afterwards is also top notch.
  I would not hesitate to recommend or book with them in the future.

  Elopement Photography Dream Team

  I’m not even going to tell you how many times I’ve watched our highlight video in the first 24 hours but it’s a lot. Where do we even begin!! Corrie and James blew it completely out of the water, they’re so perfect. The amount of joy that radiates is so amazing, the entire story of the day was painted so perfectly. My little sister said she just sobbed through the whole slideshow, my dad could not get enough of the last section with the chalice he bought me when I was a girl, and my mom (who was the reason I always knew I was going to elope) was so happy she couldn’t criticize a single thing which blew my mind. My husband was obsessed with the music you chose, drumming along to it the whole time. The movement, the connection, the joy, it’s all there. Thank you does not suffice, but I am so grateful for your amazing talent.

  MCG Photography is Phenomenal!

  If you are considering working with Corrie and James, do it! We feel so lucky to have found them in our wedding process and even luckier that they were our wedding photographers. My husband and I are not the most comfortable in front of a camera, but Corrie and James made us feel (and look!) comfortable and like the best versions of ourselves. And we couldn't have asked for kinder, more lovely people to spend so much time with on our wedding weekend. Their photos captured the spirit and soul of our wedding day and we will forever treasure them. Thank you MCG!

  Amazing!!!

  Corrie and James were INCREDIBLE. Corrie had the most energy and really took charge and somehow got the kids to smile! Her and James worked some serious miracles together with our crazy group and captured the best moments of our lives. I would give them a 15/10!

  Wonderful Experience & New Lifelong Photographers

  After reviewing and interviewing many wedding photographers we happily selected Corrie and James of MCG Photography as our photographers. We felt they brought a wonderful energy as a couple and would perfectly be able to capture our Wedding Day! Unfortunately COVID happened and altered our wedding day plans several times. MCG was so wonderful and flexible with every change of venue, date and time. They were incredibly responsive and a joy to work with. We took engagement photos and bridal photos before our wedding day photos. When our original Wedding Day plans had to be drastically altered they were there with just 8 family members at our ceremony but they felt like 2 more members of the family. Then, when our backup reception date had to be cancelled again due to COVID we were able to get some friends together and take more photos in a new location creating even more wonderful memories. We could not have been happier with any other photographers and they found themselves life-long clients. The photos were beautiful and creative and they did not miss a moment. Their professionalism is unmatched and their work is fantastic. If you go with MCG you will absolutely love your whole experience, from initial meeting to reviewing the photos of your special day. You cannot go wrong with Corrie and James, I promise you.

  Not just vendors, but friends

  Corrie and James were one of the best parts of the wedding planning process. They are intentional, kind, supportive, funny, and are an overall addition to the event itself. Corrie and James met with us multiple times (virtually and physically) before the event because they just wanted to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. I understood the importance once I received the photos, and saw how well they captured the essence of who we are. Looking back on the actual day - which was a whirlwind - the things that stand out to me are -
  • the clear direction provided for posed photos (and how much fun they made it - we were laughing the majority of the time)
  • the efficiency of the posed photos so we could get back to the party
  • Corrie bustling my dress herself so I didn’t have to bug my maid-of-honor during cocktail hour
  • Corrie showing me a photo she snapped of my mom in the middle of the dance floor
  • Corrie leading the entire vendor team in partnership with our wedding planner
  
  Corrie and James make you feel like the coolest couple in the world, and we couldn’t recommend them enough. Luckily they also specialize in family photos, so we can continue to engage them many times in the future.

  Above & Beyond - Beautiful Work & People

  If you are looking for photographers that go above and beyond to make your day special - MCG Photography is the photographer you are looking for. They do so much more than take amazing photos (both portrait style and candids that capture the special moments). Corrie and James truly felt like they were part of our family. To start, Corrie came to the Bridal Party house while James went to the Groom's. Corrie came in and seamlessly captured photos during the madness of getting ready mixed with nerves mixed with our beloved furry friends that were of course an important part of our day. James was equally wonderful - he captured moments of the groomsmen, father of the groom, and officiate that were "in the moment" and beatufiul. In addition to everything we expected from a photographer, they did things we did not expect, but that we appreciate more than we'll be able to convey. They were the "friends" by our side throughout, from the hanky James gave to my husband (which was vital during the ceremony) to Corrie even helping me pick out burrs that got stuck in my dress on our way to take photos on beach. They understand and accommodate schedules while also ensuring they capture your "wish list" of shots (and so much more). Probably two of the nicest people I have met in Charleston, Corrie and James just "get it". They understand the day (backwards and forwards), how to work with nervous brides and grooms, how to work with families, and how to work with videographers. So many of our guests, in the wedding, family, friends have reached out to us ask us about Corrie and James and to express how much they even enjoyed working with them - they both made a lasting impression on us all.

Corrie took the time to speak with me beforehand and learn more about my husband and I as a couple, and the specific types of images we wanted to capture on our wedding day. All of the photographs came out beautifully, we have access to all of our edited images, and Corrie and James were very affordable considering the high quality of their work. Corrie and James also have very fun, engaging, positive personalities and also made our wedding day photos enjoyable to take.   Simply Perfect - Real Emotions - Best Day!

  Corrie and James have the ability of capturing the most sentimental moments in a simple, heartfelt way that also makes you look great! There is an honesty in their work that really captures the experience of the day - not just a smiling snapshot everyone pauses for (although, they are great with those too!). They capture the moments where emotions actually transpire between two people - the things you absolutely want to treasure from your day. They are so easy to work with, while being efficient and getting everything that you want! I couldn't have imagined another photographer being able to bring our day to life through images the way that they did! Thank you so much MCG!

  Corrie and James are wonderful people and masters of their craft! From the moment we met to discuss our wedding we knew we were dealing with true professionals that had every detail covered for our special day. I have never felt so relaxed being photographed, their suggestions for backdrops and poses were amazing. We were delighted with our photos! Every time we show people are pictures they comment on what amazing photographers we had, like they cannot believe how well the pictures turned out! I couldn't be happier with their service and having chosen Corrie and James to be a part of the most important day of our lives.

  As the mother of the bride, I can say that James and Corrie are a wonderful team! They got to know Lydia and Niko during a meeting before the wedding, so that they could capture just the sorts of moments that they knew would make us all smile when we looked at our photos. Our whole experience with James and Corrie was lovely from start to finish.

  Corrie and James are such fun people to work with! They are such happy people and great photographers. Getting bridal portraits done was such a good decision because I was able to get to know them before the wedding. They make you feel very comfortable getting photographed. My husband and I had a first look before the wedding and it went so smoothly, and the photos turned out perfectly!
  They are very professional and make sure to get every photo you want of family etc. We just got all of our photos and the gallery is easily organized so that we can see each event throughout the day. The quality of the photos is great too! They make a great team!

  My fiance and I are so grateful for Corrie and James and the beautiful pictures of precious memories they left us with. They were super flexible. My fiance, Kyle surprised me with both a proposal and photo shoot and of course things didn't go as planned and Corrie and James waited on us for probably close to an hour to arrive at the destination where Kyle proposed. They were totally flexible with us. They captured the moment he got down on one knee spot-on and now I have these wonderful pictures to look back on and remember the moment. They made us feel totally comfortable and natural getting our pictures taken; I can't say enough wonderful things. They are the bees knees.

  Corrie and James were so much fun to work with! The photos and ideas for photos they had turned out amazing and we couldn't be happier with the moments they captured. They were also great with keeping the attention of the little ones and making them smile which was huge for us! :)

  This husband and wife duo captured our wedding beautifully. We have incredible photos and can't wait to get our art book made. Corrie was incredible at getting everyone looking relaxed and having fun in the photos. The portraits are flawless and we will cherish every photo forever. What they do is really make art out of your wedding day. You cannot go wrong with MCG photography.

  My favorite part of the entire day was walking around Charleston with Corrie, James, and my new husband. It was so peaceful just the four of us. They took us to the most beautiful places and I was beyond thrilled with the photographs captured of the two of us. So artistic and original. Corrie and James were also GREAT with our young nieces and nephew and the pictures of the kids are absolutely priceless. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any bride and groom. Their warm personalities and artistic talent is beyond what I could have ever asked for. Thank you so much you two.
