Spencer was the best DJ
From beginning to end McClains, mobile d j was incredible. I would recommend them to anyone getting married and in need of a d j. Communication was great. The price was perfect and our DJ. Spencer had everyone dancing the whole night. Wedding DJ
Spencer was the DJ at our wedding, and he was terrific! Half of our family spoke English, and the rest spoke Spanish, and Spencer did a great job finding songs that both cultures would like. He mixed the songs well, and everybody danced all night. We got multiple compliments on the DJ!! Thank you!!!

Our October wedding
We had DJ Clinton for our October backyard wedding and he did a fantastic job! He not only did everything that we asked for but he was also very lively and entertaining for us and especially our guests when we were off taking pictures or doing other tasks! It was a great experience work with him!

Wow! Can't speak any more highly of McClains after using them for my Sept 6th 2025 wedding. They come highly recommended in my area and it's for good reason. Their staff is phenomenal+ beyond friendly and professional. Tracy was amazing from the moment we met her 2 years ago. My now husband and I met her at a Weddings of the West Event AND she is predominantly the WHOLE reason I found my rustic venue. She made a list of rustic wedding venues in the area to help us. Mcclains made the entire wedding process easy and seamless leading up to our big day, and execution day of was truly flawless from the music to helping transition between events.
As other reviews mention, the online form used really covers everything you can think of/the structure to select your music is beyond easy. Not sure if other DJ companies have anything similar but honestly as someone with ADHD, the planning portal ALONE makes Mcclains amazing/a top contender for events/weddings. It took a lot of burden off of me to plan and organize ESPECIALLY as a busy mom with an infant. I just followed the structured form and it asked me what I wanted+ had playlists to select from. It was very user friendly. Have to give a shout out to Tracy too for being good at reading the room as to what to play even if it wasn’t on our list (because I would say my crowd started off a bit stubborn.)
The music and sound quality was great. If you are debating about a DJ for your wedding, please do it! I once read something that said MUSIC/the DJ was what guests remembered most about a wedding- they help set the scene/ambiance, transition between elements of your day, and create an overal fun environment. With that being said, McClains excelled, and I highly recommend Mcclains Mobile DJ for any of your event needs.

We had Tracy as our wedding DJ and she was amazing! She brought such great energy to the night, she even got up and danced, which really helped get our guests out on the dance floor. With the playlist I gave her, she absolutely nailed the vibe and played the perfect songs to keep the party going. She also made sure my husband and I had drinks in hand and always asked if we needed anything!! Highly recommend this company if you’re looking for a fun, professional, and intuitive DJ!

Tracy was our wedding DJ HERO!
We hired McClain's Mobile DJ in Reno for our winter wedding in Tahoe City on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe at Sunnyside, first because they fit into our budget, and second because they had awesome reviews. Tracy, our DJ on our wedding day, turned into such a HERO for the entire event! She dealt with crazy winter snowy weather and drove up a day early in order to make it on time, acted as the assistant to our wedding coordinator when she was desperately needed, and put on such a fantastic show for all of our guests- including coordinating all of the audio for our outdoor ceremony, seamlessly mixing tons of different playlists I had made in advance for every part of the wedding day, providing a perfect microphone solution for our father-daughter song (in lieu of dance), and ran the most hilarious game of wedding guest scavenger hunt musical chairs I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure Tracy laughed and cried more than our parents did during our wedding, is basically family now, and she made it just the best day ever. Thanks McClain's Mobile DJ!!!

The best wedding DJ we could ask for!
We also absolutely loved working with McClains Mobile DJ leading up to my 10-14-23 wedding, and DJ Spencer was amazing! When we were getting ready to walk into our wedding reception before our announcement we couldn’t believe what a huge party he already had going! He absolutely made our night! I have people reaching out to me for a playlist for the entire day lol, and the reception was all him! He took our requests and then completely made it his own and had the party going all night long. He also did a great job making sure our songs for the ceremony and all other playlists we made turned out the way we wanted them to. They couldn’t have gone better! We had some minor hiccups… dinner service running a little behind, and we forgot to sign our marriage license and had to hunt down our officiant when our sparkler exit was supposed to be happening(all just part of the story now!), but DJ Spencer kept us calm, giving us updates and reassured us through all of these! He also kept the crowd entertained through these issues so no one ever knew except for us!
Also, kudos to Tracy who runs everything! Through the wedding planning process she was extremely responsive, answering any questions we had. There was never any doubt McClains Mobile DJ and crew would do great, but I still can’t still can’t get over just how amazing they were! We seriously couldn’t have picked a better DJ company and DJ(Spencer) to celebrate our night with! Can’t wait to get our wedding pictures so I can see the celebration!

have been working with McClains and all of their DJ's for about 15 years. Being a professional photographer who shoots events and weddings I get to work with a large number of DJ's and music and McClains is one of the best!
Its not just about playing a set of music. Its about watching the crowd and dictating what needs to happen to get the party going, slow it down or help move onto the next thing.
I know they have a ton of DJ's and they train each one to have a seemless experience no matter who shows up. I value this company so much and I know when they are booked the wedding or event will run perfectly and I can focus on just doing what I do best for my couple.
If you are looking into this company I simply say... Book them. There is nothing they cant do!

Spencer was our DJ for our wedding, and boy did he have a task ahead of him, as my husband is a musician. However, Spencer went above and beyond; he was able to mix our grunge/early 2000s alternative and hip hop in a way that left my husband impressed and blown away! McClain's Mobile DJ is the absolute best in the business and very reasonably priced for the effort they put into your day to make it memorable. Not to mention entertainment they provide, it's a party start to finish! When it comes to DJ Tracy, I'm speechless. From start of planning to the day of, she was on top of it all, Quick to reply and just an all around great time! She set the tone of the wedding and all our guest (from 8 to 84 years old) had the time of their lives. Everyone was on the dance floor, which was amazing to see at our wedding. We were recommended McClain's Mobile DJ for our wedding by our venue and our friends who used them for their wedding and we were blown away. A DJ is really important for pacing the whole day from the ceremony, cocktail hour, speeches, cake cutting, first dance, and all the little timeline details that go into a wedding and they were on point. Truly flowed perfectly and it helps that their business has an online platform that you fill out beforehand while you plan that is very detailed so everyone is on the same page. We had DJ Ensi and Dani and they were outstanding! They read the room and knew what music to play to get everyone on the dance floor. A lot of our guest were telling us that they were the best DJ and that they were playing the best songs. We had such a wonderful time with Tracey!! She was sooo much fun and so accommodating!! She was a great DJ/MC for our wedding! During the event, she was imperative to smooth coordination, made sure we (bride/groom) ate, and kept the party lively. While I don’t plan on being a repeat wedding client, I highly recommend DJ McClain for any DJ needs, especially weddings!

The DJ is the most important component to a successful wedding celebration! Tracy was absolutely amazing and our wedding not only flowed nicely but went off without any issues!
She was great to plan with as she gave ideas and commentary on what works and doesn't. She followed up several times during the process and the online forms used by McClains are so easy to use!
Tracy has a fantastic personality, it felt like I've known her for years! The day of she checked on my husband and I and engaged in the dance party, guiding people in dances they didn't know. Just so much fun!

DJ Spencer keeps it FUN
DJ Spencer is the fun, outgoing, trendy DJ that everyone needs at their wedding!
Our communication with him from the beginning was great. We spoke with him on the phone about his style and approach to DJing before booking with him. He convinced us that he was the right DJ for us with his confidence and passion in DJing and his knowledge about the types of songs to play to keep everyone happy and to keep the party fun throughout the entire day!
We heard again from the DJ company about a month before the wedding to start filling out a planning worksheet. This worksheet covers every song request (for both the cocktail hour and the reception), and every “do not play” song. It also asks detailed questions about every aspect of the wedding to ensure everything goes according to plan (ceremony songs, announcements to make throughout the day, order of toasts, cake cutting songs, etc.) and asks about the timeline for the day. This ensures the DJ arrives prepared for the day!
We had a phone call with DJ Spencer the week of the wedding and told him to play music at the reception that would keep the party fun and keep people on the dance floor. We gave him a guideline of the songs we like, and he delivered! He was able to mix songs and keep it super fun! We had so many compliments from wedding guests over how great the DJ was.
My wedding planner always told me that the guests of a wedding remember two things about a wedding: whether or not the food was good, and whether or not they had a great time. The latter was definitely covered because of DJ Spencer!

McClains kept the night alive!
Tracy and Cassie were amazing, and the McClain's team worked with us over 2 years of postponements to get to our wedding day! First I will say that I spent HOURS trying to find a DJ that was going to be perfect for our wedding. We really wanted to have a fun time with our friends and family, and music was a huge part of it. We had DJ Joshua from McClain's Mobile DJ and let me tell you, WHOA! We had such a fun time with all the music that was played. All of the guests even asked who we had because they were so impressed. He really took the time to chat with us and kept us on our timeline, which was extremely appreciated. Can't say enough about how awesome he was, and to use McClain's if you're looking for a DJ!

Wonderful team of DJs
We hired McClain's way back in 2019 for our 2020 wedding, which ended up being postponed until July 2022. They were incredible to work with this whole time and always went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was perfect.
DJ Spencer was excellent. He was able to find the perfect balance of music, especially considering we had asked for a mix of American and Indian songs! Our guests couldn't get off the dance floor!

McClain’s mobile DJ was phenomenal. From the very start of booking, Tracy was extremely helpful and kind throughout the booking process. She was quick to respond and answered all my questions with ease. For our wedding we had DJ Ensi who was awesome!! From our first phone call and to the end of the night he was awesome! We didn’t create much of a playlist because we slacked, so we left it in his hands and it went PERFECTLY. He always made sure the timeline was going the way we wanted, made all necessary announcements, and worked great with my coordinator. We would highly recommend McClain’s mobile DJ, and suggest you request DJ Ensi, although, I’m sure the entire team is just as amazing!

Tracy has been great with us! She made sure we were taken care of. She responded very quickly to all of my questions and concerns. It has been such a breeze especially when you are planning a destination wedding. You want everything to be smooth and that’s what she did. Thank you so much for everything! DJ Ensi was amazing! All the music was perfectly timed, he made a last minute change to one of our song choices the day before, and he kept everyone happy during the reception! I could not thank him enough! He even helped with getting us some shade from his umbrella (the timing of the sun had us sitting directly under it during dinner!) He was also great with leading some of the dances! Greatest DJ ever
I first met McClain’s Mobile DJ at a wedding convention in Reno. Right away they were incredibly welcoming and I left their booth with a smile on my face. As we got closer to our wedding we looked at other DJs in the area, however I kept coming back to McClain’s DJ. Their prices were some of the best that we found and their energy was unmatched. Anytime we had a question we heard back from them within 24 hours or sometimes even within the hour. At the wedding Tracy was amazing, she knew just how to play our playlist and when we needed to change up the music she was right there making it seem like it was something we had planned. She constantly checked on us throughout the day and into the night. I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and she helped to make our wedding magical.

We had some trouble with our last DJ having COVID but McClains really helped us out especially it being so last minute.

McClain's was super easy to get ahold of. They would respond to our emails within the hour.
The DJ was very personable and organized the day of the wedding. All of the planning is on an online page with different forms and deadlines laid out well. It's easy to to fill out and feels organized. It also has a lot of good questions to personalize your wedding down to every detail. Bear of all - very fun music! The guests danced the whole time! Couldn't have asked for anything better. We'd highly recommend McClain's.

Your Wedding NEEDS McClain's Mobile DJ!
If you want a DJ that is going to make your reception, you need Tracy! She really is the whole package and went above and beyond for us. Tracy was the DJ/MC for our wedding and she also had DJ Spencer with her (who is just as sweet and as much fun as Tracy is). Leading up to our wedding, Tracy was great to work with and their website made everything so easy. Tracy and Spencer arrived to our venue early to set up and ensure everything was good to go for our special day. They both checked on my husband and I before the ceremony and Spencer even brought us water right after our ceremony (which I thought was really nice). Tracy and Spencer really got our party going that night! They played the best music for our crowd and even got out on the dance floor with us to teach us some different line dances. It truly was such an amazing experience working with Tracy and Spencer, I am telling all of my engaged friends that they HAVE to use them too! By the end of the night, everyone was already asking for their information anyways :) You will not go wrong with McClain's. We had them booked for our original wedding date for almost a year until the pandemic hit and we had to change both the date AND location. We felt awful having to make all these sudden drastic changes but regardless, Tracy continued to work with us with full compassion and optimism and we were able to have our wedding in August 2020 stress-free!
DJ Spencer emcee’d our wedding and let me tell you, he did a fantastic job!
He kept in communication with my husband and I during our reception to keep us in the loop of events, guided the guests through the entire event as well, and even danced with us and taught the guests new dance moves!

She sets everything up in an extremely organized manner for each different thing you may or may not want a song for such as cake cutting, garter toss, etc. Not only is she an awesome Dj, but she acts as and MC, too! She is humorous and keeps the wedding fun as she announces things for the wedding. To top it off, Tracy got out on the dance floor and showed us different dances!! My son loooooved that! She came out and danced with us and showed us the moves for 4-5 songs and everyone was having a blast!!! I couldn’t be happier with choosing her! If you want an affordable, friendly, and awesome DJ, you won’t be disappointed!!

Perfect DJ for my wedding!
Spencer was our DJ for our wedding. He did an amazing job playing all our requests. He knew what was important and made sure it was played. He also did a great job with announcements and timing of songs. I would recommend them for any wedding!

Tracy was a wonderful addition to our wedding vendor team! She was so friendly every time I talked to her during the planning process and we loved using the website to pick songs for our wedding. Tracy was our DJ and she was amazing. We didnt have a large wedding but Tracy sure did an amazing job. She got out on the floor with us and showed us steps to dances no one knew how to do. She took everyone's requests and made sure everyone had a good time. Talked to her the day before and she listened to a stressed out bride who was talking in circles. Spencer was our DJ on our wedding day and he was amazing. He was so fun to have be apart of our day. He kept us on time and was so easy going when we changed things at the last minute. Excellent Service and Great Care on the Day of
We booked with McClain's a year before our wedding and throughout our planning process Tracy was able to help me answer some of my pre wedding jitters questions. On the day of we had DJ Ward and oh my goodness he was the best! He was so friendly, showed up early looking professional, and set up quickly. Perfect blend of custom song choices and good DJ picks
I found Tracy and she was extremely responsive and open to all music selections through the whole process. We had several custom songs that she had no problem finding for us for our special day. Everyone at our wedding was so impressed by her energy and zest for music.
We adored having her a part of our big day! Absolutely professional, kind and added unique twists and some personal connections into her DJ timeline. It was a pleasure to have her as our DJ would recommend to anyone looking to have some amazing music with a fantastic entertainer!

Tracy is absolutely amazing. She cares so so much about the couples. We had our venue cancel on us last minute and Tracy was the one who actually helped us find a new venue. Tracy is hands down the BEST DJ in the area! She will have all your guests out on the dance floor, and will even join in herself. We have developed a friendship with Tracy over a few events that she has DJ’d, and my husband and I are forever thankful she stayed in town to perform our wedding, even though she had a conflict come up. I can't thank Tracy enough for truly making my wedding spectacular. She went above and beyond and was so professional. She played all of my requested music, her equipment sounded phenomenal and she did an incredible job with keeping our timeline on schedule with out rushing us. Tracy was in the moment and made us feel like she was a guest at the party because she fit in so well. We had a last minute emergency and needed to find another DJ the week before our destination wedding. In comes Mcclain's and Spencer who were fantastic. Tracy helped us get someone for our day on short notice, and was super responsive and helped me feel at ease last minute. Spencer called me the day before to walk through the whole day, he was there early, and was able to go with the flow throughout the day as we had a small wedding and wanted to just be able to move timing of events during the reception around as needed. We only had 22 guests, but Spencer kept the dance floor packed all night long and things flowed so smoothly. I am so glad we ended up with McClains and Spencer!!

The wedding was fantastic and Ward was wonderful! Ward payed great dance music, was funny, and pulled the wedding together. It was hard for my daughter to think of all the songs she wanted and Ward just filled it in. Suggestion, if you want an real old song, just request it to make sure that they can add it to your choices. Ward was perfect!!! I feel so blessed to have found you. DJ Tracy was excellent! From the time I booked her until after the wedding, every step of the process was easy and she made everything fun! McClain's utilizes an online system where you can fill out a planning form so she knows exactly what song you want for all of the special parts of the wedding (first dances, garter/bouquet toss, etc). This was so nice because she knew well in advance what I wanted so I did not have to stress about it closer to the wedding. Also, we had guests request songs on their RSVP cards and it was very easy to add these songs to the portal so everyone had their song played. But most importantly, on the day of the wedding, Tracy was very prepared and did the BEST job incorporating the right songs for the mood of the crowd. The dinner music was relaxing and romantic while the dancing music was upbeat and fun! Our guests had the best time dancing the night away and we wished we could've danced more! DJ Tracy was also sweet enough to compile pictures into a short video for us after the wedding so we could look back on the reception. If you are looking for a good time with an incredibly sweet and upbeat person then I would absolutely recommend Tracy with McClain's for your special event! :)
