Mayerlin was amazing! She made me look like a real queen. I was so amaze of her job and if I ever renewed my vows I would 100% hire her again. My makeup left me out of words. Lots of tears and my makeup was intact!!! -

Mayelin did bridal makeup for me this August. I am so glad I chose her!! She is not the least expensive makeup artist out there- but the quality of the service she provides is unmatched. My bridesmaids were so gorgeous I could not stop looking at them, and their makeup stayed all night in 86 degree heat and high humidity! Mayelin is kind and fun, which I was so thankful to have on the morning of my wedding! Outstanding Professional Makeup Artist
Mayelin is an extremely talented makeup artist with a super kind, bubbly disposition! She is an absolute pleasure to work with, listening to your needs for the look you desire. She is extremely knowledgeable in the field, having various certifications. Mayelin has expertise in diverse cultural makeup looks, and knowledge of application for all ethnicities, making her the ideal artist to appeal a wide variety of clients. Her portfolio features an array of styles from wedding makeup to creative glam looks. She has done my makeup twice now, and the application was flawless. Amazing artist!
Mayelin did my bridal trial for my engagement photos and it came out so beautiful! She is great at dramatic and glam looks and is flexible and can work with what you want if that is a more natural look as well, which makes her a great choice for wedding parties- in addition to her great enegy! Mayelin is fantastic! She is so knowledgeable and has such a huge range of skills and makeup looks she can do. For my consultation I felt like she really listened to me and was so helpful and patient with me when I was explaining what I wanted. She was so professional and friendly and made me feel comfortable. For my wedding she gave me the exact look I imagined, only better lol. I felt so beautiful! If you’re looking for a top tier artist to trust with your wedding day I definitely recommend Mayelin! -

Forgot how to do my hairstyle on my wedding day!!!
I hired MV Makeup for my wedding hair & makeup. It unfortunately was a horrible experience and I hope no bride has to deal with what I went through. From the beginning, communication was not great. The owner, Mayelin, communicated via both text message and email. She would respond at all hours of the day, sometimes texting me as early as 7am and as late as 11pm. I found it to be very unprofessional to communicate via text at these hours (email would have been fine!).
I had a trial with Maria for hair and Jessica for makeup. Maria did a low, knot bun and I was happy with my trial. Jessica, although very talented, her makeup style didn’t quite fit what I was looking for (very heavy, darker style makeup). She’s great, it just wasn’t the vibe I was looking for. I did another makeup trial with Laura who was fabulous and gave me the brighter, more natural look I was trying to achieve.
Fast forward to my wedding day and Maria shows up for hair. I showed her the picture from my trial with her to remind her what I wanted. She responded “that’s my work?”. I was horrified, she didn’t even remember doing that style on me at my trial! She did my updo and when she was done I looked in the mirror and BAWLED. It was NOTHING like my trial. I immediately texted the owner, Mayelin, who agreed and said she would ask Maria to re-do my hair. This of course messed up the timeline for the day. Maria never apologized and actually told me she didn’t see what was wrong with the hair style and she felt it was the same as the trial?! (Pictures attached, the top 2 are my trial with her, bottom left was first attempt on wedding day and bottom right was second attempt on wedding day). Her second attempt although better than the first, it was still not the same as the trial but at this point I had no choice but to finish getting ready and not be late to my own wedding.
My photographer felt so bad that she offered to re do bridal portraits for me in 2 weeks with my hair re done. I asked Mayelin for a refund for my hair. Given the situation I feel she should have offered a refund without being asked. Unfortunately I had to argue with her to get refunded. I highly recommend looking elsewhere so you are not left unhappy with your hair on the biggest day of your life! -
