Found the black wedding dress I’ve been searching for!
I had the BEST time at Maya’s Palace. I was not expecting to find a dress yesterday but I ended up finding the most beautiful dress of my dreams. The staff was so friendly and helpful I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know.Maya Palace's reply:

They were very accommodating when it came to making sure my guests could see me try on dresses. They even let some of my family help me pick out. All the staff was nice. I wanted to customize my dress and they were really helpful and nice to make my perfect dress into my dream dress. They made my dream come true.Maya Palace's reply:

Maya Palace was fantastic. The staff was so helpful from the beginning. I was getting my dress a little bit on the late side. I had looked at a few other places and did not anything that was right for me. The staff asked questions and then guided me to dresses that were available right away without having to be ordered. They listened to my comments on all the dresses and helped me find the perfect dress. It had everything I wanted, sparkles, flowers, and it was a long flowy ballgown dress. The seamstress was amazing and very attentive. The shop also has clothes for everyone involved in a wedding. I highly recommend Maya Palace. -

One Stop Shop!!
From beginning to end Maya’s Palace was amazing! They were very respectful of my budget and style I wanted. Once I said yes they were amazing with the alterations! Everything was super easy and smooth. They even steamed my dress before I picked it up and let my aunt pick it up after I ran out of time that day. They were so kind and flexible when I called to make sure it was alright. -

This is for the mother of the bride dress. They had lovely options that did not look too “mother of the bride”. The seamstress had it all wrapped up in less than one week and it fit perfectly. They were very accommodating and warm. Lastly, my mother looked beautiful on my most special day. -

I went to this place while I was in town visiting family. When my mom and I got to Maya Palace the store owner Suzy immediately approached us and offered her assistance. I told her I was looking for a wedding dress, but I didn't have an appointment, and she said not a problem and started helping us. I told her the ideas I had so far while showing her some pictures and she knew exactly where to look for the styles. There were so many kinds of dresses and I really wasn't expecting to find my dream dress, but it happened!!!!! I never felt rushed or pressured into purchasing while trying on multiple dresses. She even brought out other styles for me to see and let me take my time. It was such a blast!!! They get a lot of handmade items from around the world and the dress I decided on had only just come in that morning. Everything there is so unique and special. Not like other places where you could get the same dress as someone else. The woman who altered my dress was Reem and she was absolutely fantastic. Because I live out of town I would have to make trips to get it fitted properly and she was so wonderful with working with my tight schedule if I had to come out early or push back a date. They also have so much more than just wedding dresses, such as evening wear, ballroom dresses, shoes, bags and jewelry. This is such an eclectic store and worth stepping into. Everyone is so warm and helpful, they make you feel right at home. -

All us brides know...wedding dress shopping comes with so many emotions, stress, and excitement - its hard to sort through it all when making the biggest purchase of our lives! Go to Maya Palace. Margarita was my dress consultant and made my dress shopping a once in a lifetime dream. She listened to my needs and wants, heard my fears, absorbed it all with a smile and a hug and found me THE ONE. I wanted to be at Maya Palace as much as I could during the wedding planning process because of the love and joy in this building. I had my alterations done by Maisoon and it was absolute perfection. They have Kleenex and champagne on hand, smiles and love in excess. I'm having my dress cleaned and preserved by them because its another way I can see all my favorite people again. I wished Margarita had been at my wedding, she has such a special place in my heart now! Go to Maya Palace, you'll be grateful you did! -

Best of the Best
Shopping at Maya’s Palace for a wedding dress was an absolutely heavenly experience in every way. They have something like 700 beautiful dress samples from which to choose, and you are treated like a princess the whole time. Shout out to Margarita for being the warmest, friendliest and most flexible assistant ever! -

I spent a lot of time searching for the best dress. I went to DB three times before a friend suggested I try this place because they sold a specific brand. I spent maybe two hours trying on dresses I knew I wouldn’t like and dresses I wasn’t sure if I would like and dresses I almost liked. Maria was so patient with me and never once made me feel rushed. When I found my dress I literally sat down and cried and cried and called my mom and took why too many pictures. It was perfect. Maria also paired my dress this the most perfect headband that really tied my whole look together. It was magical.
I am only 5’1” so at the very least I needed my dress to be hemmed. I am also very curvy and the design of the dress in some places needed to be altered. I was lucky enough to be teamed up with Maesoon (I really wish I had double checked the spelling of her name). She has a great vision and really knows how dresses will best flatter you. I could not find a bra or corset or anything that would have been hidden under my dress and also fit. I decided to go braless and in some photos you can see the fabric overlapping. I’m a little upset with that but I seriously couldn’t find a bra. She was also able to take like 4 inches of height from the torso without losing the integrity of the back lace design. She seriously worked some magic and made me look like a dang queen. I’m so grateful. -

After seeing a dress I liked at an out-of-town boutique, I decided to stop here before taking the final plunge. I told Margarita the details of what I was looking for and she walked through the store with me to find a few examples that would fit with my vision. "The" dress ended up being the first one I tried on, under budget, and was a million times more flattering that the other one I had considered purchasing! Because I was concerned that the dress had an open back, Margarita referred me to the alterations team. Teresa (who has years of experience in both costume design and wedding dresses) ended up building an illusion back, which was drop dead gorgeous! Though I had this custom back, plus a bustle, bra cups, sleeve lengthening and hem of the skirt's intricate lace, alterations costs were significantly less than what I had been quoted by other boutiques. Finally, their customer service is unparalleled - the staff recognized me and greeted me warmly each time I visited the store like I had been a long-time friend. Please, do yourself a favor and visit Maya Palace for your wedding or special event needs. You can't go wrong here!!!! -

Wendy Sent on 10/20/2008My dress is definitely unique. I have not seen my dress anywhere else besides the Alfred Angelou advertizings. I purchased my dress 6 weeks before my wedding in Tucson, AZ and they were able to alter my dress and have it 2 weeks before my wedding in North Carolina. They also carried the flower girl's dress which looks just like the wedding dress. All my friends and family have complimented me on the dresses. This establishment are true professionals. -
Brittany Sent on 03/05/2018Maya palace was wonderful when buying my wedding dress! I ended up buying the first dress I tried on there. All of my fittings were great and my dress fit perfectly. The only reason I did not rate 5/5 is because the bra pads were sewn in backwards which I didn’t realize until I got home the day before the wedding. Luckily, my grandma was able to fix it but I did go back to let them know and they just couldn’t believe anyone could have done that. Other than this experience, they were great and I would never have bought my dress or the bridesmaids dresses anywhere else. We bought the bridesmaid’s dress at maya palace but the junior bridesmaids at David’s bridal and there was no comparison as to the services provided at both. Maya palace is ten times better than David’s bridal and I enjoyed our experience with maya palace way more than David’s bridal. I got multiple comments from multiple guests telling me how they thought my dress was the most beautiful wedding dress they’ve ever seen!

I had an absolutely splendid time and found my wedding dress for a decent price in the process! The appointment was made with an easy phone call and I was allowed to bring quite a few good friends with me to share the experience. Maria really helped me out a lot and actually picked out the dress I ended up saying yes to! I'd highly recommend this place to brides who want a more private and unique experience. -

Rebecca Sent on 03/22/2018I enjoyed my experience with Maya Palace! The store can be a bit overwhelming, but they have a HUGE selection of dresses. The only thing that was a bit weird was that nobody helped me when trying on dresses... I had to have one of my bridesmaids that I brought with me help me take things on and off. That was different than other places, but it was also okay once I got used to it. They also don't have computer records... everything is on paper. So keep all of your receipts in a safe place if you need them! The alterations process was great... all of the suggestions that seamstress gave were on point. Overall, it's a great place for your wedding dress needs!

Mary went into overdrive to help me find gorgeous gowns and get me into a fitting room. Once I decided on the dress, I went back by myself to purchase it. This time it was Maria who made me feel so special. My family is in Phoenix and my bridesmaids are in other states, so I had to go alone, but Maria was right there by my side sharing my excitement. After trying the dress on again, they took measurements, and had me all set in about 30 minutes! What a treat to meet Susy, the owner of this amazing store. Everyone was just so sweet! Growing up in Tucson, I've seen Maya Palace advertisements and always thought the clothes were a little eccentric, a little too, well, Mariachi for me. (I'm not knocking Mariachi, just not my style).
But then I got engaged, and I went to the obvious big box choice (David's Bridal), which turned out to be a nightmare. Then a high end boutique, where I thought I had found the one. Then, on a whim, my mom suggested Maya Palace. "Let's just look", she said. I can't say no to my momma, so we wandered in. BEST DECISION EVER!
Walked in, met with a few consultants, made an appointment to come back. My consultant Liz was amazing. What a personality on that one! Told her my style, the feel of our wedding, and she got it! She pulled a pretty hefty amount of dresses based on our tight budget. Liked a lot of them, but no razzle-dazzle moment. I told Liz, sexy bride, not princess bride, and she came back with a stunner. 100% me: a little modern, a little sexy, but still bridal and a touch traditional. Looked at mom, she was sobbing. We had found the dress. Liz helped with a little styling, pulled some accessories, and completed the look. They also have gorgeous options for Mother of the bride dresses & wedding party dresses.
Even if you think Maya Palace isn't your style, please don't ignore their bridal options. -

It was stunning and I ended up choosing her dress! It was the same price as the first dress, which was affordable and under my budget. The area to try gowns on was spacious with plenty of mirrors and space. I had 6 girls with me and they all sat comfortably! The owner was extremely sweet and you can tell she genuinely loves what she does, she looks just as happy as I do in all the photos my family took! -

Liz is an absolute sweetheart from her professionalism to her suggestions to her following up with you is so helpful. One minor complaint is lack of responsiveness with call backs and organization with receipts and keeping record of payments. Aside from that, Maya Palace and it's current staff is fabulous! -

Jennifer Sent on 08/16/2010Maya Palace in Tucson is where I purchased my Maggie Sottero dress back in August 2009. The dress came in 2 months early (though I think that's all up to Maggie, not Maya), so I picked up the dress until it was time for my fittings.
I also got my dress fitted at Maya Palace by their seamstress, Helen. Helen is fun to work with, but we hit a couple of minor misunderstandings along the way, so I am dropping the quality of service a little bit.
All in all, everything worked out, and the dress was beautiful for the big day! -

I said YES to the dress at Maya a year before my date, but lived abroad until right before the wedding. So, we ordered the size I needed and arranged to have a "dedicated" seamstress for the week before the wedding as I would need alternations in a short time. Reem, one of Maya's seamstresses, met us first thing in the morning after I arrived in Tucson and was great. I had my shoes on a fitting day, and I'd lost more weight than I thought so the alterations were a bit more than expected. I also had bra pads put in, which were a bit pricey, but SO worth it for the comfort and support of bigger breasts. She did the alterations in 5 days, I was told between 4 and 5. I forgot the shoes at the 2nd fitting, and it was a touch long at the wedding, but it was a heavy dress and probably fell a bit. But I loved the dress and it really did fit wonderfully!! The bustle was great too and I could dance well! I was glad to have wide heels though, cause I probably would have ripped my toole on a spiky heel. The dress was nice quality, though I know Maya doesn't make them. For the price, $1100 and the price of alterations $400, I would have liked a wooden hanger at least, the plastic one nearly buckled and needed to be swapped out for pictures. They also steamed my 20-year-old veil, which was very nice of them! Overall great service. Store staff can be a little distracted and slow, but everyone is very nice. -

Victoria Sent on 10/22/2016I stumbled upon Maya Palace while looking for a specific dress I found at a different salon. Their price was significantly lower then the other shop's and they were way more informative about my options for the specific dress I wanted. They were very professional when I went in for fittings. The only complaints I have are that they don't do anything electronically, they keep pieces of paper with all the payments you've made and fittings you've had. Every appointment I had to bring in my own records because one time they would tell me I owed X amount when really I had already payed for it. They also said they didn't have my phone number so they couldn't call to reschedule an appointment even though they had called me (left a message with my first name and wedding date) two days prior to ask if I was "'still interested in buying a wedding gown". I actually had a lot of these phone calls asking if I was still interested in a dress (even after I had already purchased one) or a call telling me I had a balance left even when I didn't. That is my only complaint, is I wish they kept better records of things. Other than that they worked amazingly when I was there and always made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. They had a nice selection of dresses and even some designers that no other shop has. All in all I was very pleased with their service. -

My dress was absolutely beautiful! The staff were very friendly. However, the lady helping me talked me into ordering a bigger size because I was in between sizes. I mentioned planning to lose weight but was informed that sometimes that is not always the case but when my dress finally came in it was too big. I had to hold the dress up to keep it from falling off and ended up paying more for alterations to take in the dress because the wrong size was ordered. However, seamstress helping me was amazing and made the dress look and fit wonderfully!
