A Hair Crown Fit For a Queen!!!

Not going to lie, I judge books by their cover sometimes. That's how I pick out all my bottles of wine lol. So when I noticed May's beautiful, floral business card posted at a local brewery, it caught my eye. After looking at her Instagram photos, I was immediately sold. I had been on the hunt for someone who could do a beautiful, boho crown braid and felt confident May could pull it off. May not only created my dream crown braid, she also did my make-up beautifully. For someone who doesn't wear much make-up (eye liner & mascara only), I was hesitant to wear foundation of any kind or heavy make-up. However, May persuaded me to try some new things during the make-up trial (still looking natural as requested) and I was surprised how light the airbrush felt and now natural it all looked at the end. I was NOT disappointed! May and her coworker's work was outstanding. They were both professional and timely with all the bridal party's hair/make-up. I feel that May's hair and make-up prices are fair and well worth the money!

Amazing wedding hair and makeup

May and her team was absolutely wonderful. Not only is she flexible with trials, she's flexible with the day of (when things don't quite go the way you need venue wise). She was professional but found ways to calm my nerves that no one else could!! She really was more than just my hair and makeup artist and I'll always be greatful. Her work is absolutely beautiful and she is willing to work with whatever look you want to achieve because she wants you (the bride) to feel amazing and perfect. 100% recommend her and her services.

May and her glam squad rock!

My experience with May and her team was excellent. May met with me a couple of months before the big day and completed my hair and make-up trial. This really made me feel comfortable with her, as she asked lots of questions to make sure we were creating the look that I wanted and that would look best with my dress and colors. Communication was timely and convenient. The day of, May and her team arrived on time, with more than enough equipment to complete regular and airbrush make-up, as well as hair, for myself, 4 bridesmaids, my mom and MIL. May and the team were done ahead of schedule, which allowed for final touches and the right amount of time for us to put on our dresses and final touches. We were all complimented on looking gorgeous and glamorous. Thanks May, for completing my wedding look!

May and her team were awesome. They were on time, and made all of us look and feel so beautiful. They were able to keep all six of us on track and on time for all of our hair and makeup. I really appreciated that May was the one who did my practice round and also the day of. Would definitely hire again!

I was planning an out of town wedding and had to choose vendors based on reviews alone. I chose May as she had great review and awesome pricing. She sent Kelly and Rachel for hair and makeup to our AirBnB and they were both punctual and phenomenal. We didn’t have any hair trials so I sent photos of inspiration. The day of I explained to kelly my vision which was side swept and romantic yet structured so it could withstand the wind on the beach but also still look soft at the same time. She nailed it! I was sooo impressed and everyone loved my hair. Rachel did a great job on everyone’s makeup and we all looked gorgeous. Thank you so much!

May is a great job with all of my bridal party and myself on my wedding day! I cannot brag enough about how happy I was with both hair and make up! I do not wear a lot of make up on a daily basis and May was great with keeping it natural and helping to achieve what my vision was! I would recommend to anyone and everyone!

May was very helpful thru the whole process of planning our wedding. She's so down to earth and easy to work with. I don't wear much makeup on a day to basis and was worried that I wasn't going to feel like myself with full makeup. She was patient and understanding with me during our trial and completely nailed the flawless natural look that I knew I wanted but didn't know how to describe. Her hair stylist, Kelly, was exactly the same. It was like being with close friends the day of which is exactly what you want on your wedding day!

May and Gigi were great! My bridal party and I had our hair and makeup done and they did absolutely amazing! We got the airbrush makeup and lashes. Let's just say, I ugly cried and my makeup didn't run off! Lol! Advice for bride-to-be's: be prepared with how you want you hair to be and your makeup to look like.

May was absolutely amazing! I had a trial and on location makeup for me and my 2 bridesmaid and MOB. I chose to do airbrush for all but my mom. Everyone looked flawless! Just the natural beauty style I was going for. She and Gigi were very professional and so much fun to talk to. I would definitely recommend.

May was my wedding makeup artist last November. She did phenomenal airbrushing and made me and my bridesmaids feel like princesses! I felt a little nervous just because I've never had my makeup professionally done before so I didn't know what to expect but I was blown away when I looked in the mirror afterward! The makeup was exactly how I always pictured, enough to look great in pictures but I still looked like ME. Thank you, May!

May was wonderful with making my wedding day go so smoothly with so many ladies getting both their hair and makeup done. Everyone looked wonderful and ran right on time. May was also available for mock trials since I couldn't figure out how I wanted my hair. Overall great experience!

I was recommended May via my wedding planner-and the first thing that popped out was how beautiful her website was, how easy it was to click around and get the information I needed and the pictures of makeup she put up were phenomenal. However, I was honestly a bit skeptical on the pricing--it just seemed too good to be true! But after researching, getting the rec from my planner and seeing her other reviewers I took a chance. Oh my gosh, am I glad I did! Our first meeting with the test run was just amazing. I felt very comfortable with her, she listened to what I really wanted. A friend of mine listened to my recommendation on hiring her, so I got another day to hang with her and do basically another trial which went well! On our wedding day, I was so happy she was there--it was really a joy to be with her and she helped me stay centered while everything began to get chaotic. She gets in touch with you a week or two before the wedding giving you an estimated time on when you/bridesmaids/mom (or whoever is getting hair and makeup done) will be lined up which is SO nice to have--you can tell people what time to be at the place you're getting ready without a lot of guestimating because May does that for you!

I'm sure you're wondering how the the hair/makeup turned out: PHENOMENAL. I wanted beautiful makeup without looking like a doll--she accomplished that. I felt beautiful all day--and yes, the makeup did stay on all day! You really won't regret hiring this wonderful woman! Give her a call/email and you'll see she's definitely the person you should go with.

May was wonderful. Vendors I tried to previously contact were not working out, so when I contacted May, it was two weeks before my wedding. She was very responsive, quickly set up a trial time and the makeup came out perfect. She also recommended me to a lady for my hair which was also a job well done. Hair and makeup was done for me and my two bridesmaids, they had us ready on time and everyone looked great.

May was simply amazing and easy to work with especially me living in OHIO and getting married in FLORIDA! She came right to my room at the resort and transformed my hair and makeup so I felt flawless walking down the aisle to my future husband! I highly recommend her services and the airbrush makeup is a MUST :) Fast responses, calming for the nerves on the big day, and worth every penny! May is an amazing person and makeup artist! She did my makeup for my wedding in June. Everyone loved my makeup and said I looked so young and beautiful! May deserves more than a 5 out of 5! She and her team were an absolute dream to work with. The month before my wedding I had to find someone to do my makeup, i had someone booked that fell through. I was referred to May from one of my best friends who had already contracted May for her wedding (which I was in as well, and she did my makeup for as well, and it was amazing!) and it was the best decision I ever made. May came to me and did my makeup trial and I literally wanted to change anything. I completely trusted her right off the bat. My makeup was extremely important to me because the theme of my wedding was old Hollywood glamour and the makeup just had to give that feel as well. The day of my wedding, May not only delivered as I expected, she ended up doing half of my bridal parties makeup with ease. I had a bridal party of 11 plus the Moms and we all had a blast with her, she fit right in, handled all of our personalities and made my day even more special. I LOVE YOU MAY! My Mom and I miss you!

May was great. She provided makeup services for myself, our sisters, and our moms. Everyone looked and felt beautiful. May made recommendations based on skin type and wedding lights/photography and everything looked great. May was fun, talkative, and professional to have in the room getting ready. She also came to the rescue for a hair difficulty at the end of the day. She was great and I would use her again for any make up needs.

I absolutely LOVED my makeup as well as my bridesmaids and MOB's. I booked May through wedding wire after emailing around for a few quotes and searching through portfolios (AKA stalking social media pages) and decided I'd go with May. It was super convenient as I was planning my own wedding and she also coordinated with the hair vendor, Kelly so that was one less vendor I had to book/spend time communicating with myself and paid them together in total. May communicated the plan for day of scheduling concisely and was flexible to a few changes in times I made close to the wedding day. Her and Kelly showed up promptly and professionally and were super easy going and fun to be around. I felt she was knowledgable and made good recommendations day-of for the "look" I wanted. I think I was a low-maintenance bride and just asked her to do something similar to a picture I showed her from Pinterest, but I believe she could accommodate for more specific requests if I had any.

She is very busy and that says something about her and her business. So sometimes you may not hear back right away but she's worth the wait. I would definitely recommend May if you're still searching for the perfect hair/mu artist! I didn't have a makeup trial and I was blown away with the results on the day of my wedding.

May handled my hair and makeup and my mom's hair for a small beach ceremony in St Petersburg, Fl at the Sirata beach resort. I was not feeling well and was jittery. I'm so grateful to have had May. She was light and cheerful and funny. She chatted with mom and I the whole time and really put me at ease. My look came out perfect and my hair held up even in the 45mph winds that day. I'm not a person who wears a lot of makeup normally and I'm prone to break out - I don't know what she did but my face felt light and no breakouts after!! I would totally recommend May to any bride !

I was recommended May from a friend who had used her for her wedding. She was very accommodating and flexible with her time and we came up with wonderful hair for my wedding. On the day of May brought another stylist to help out, which was fine. I appreciate May being very flexible with adding in one more bridesmaid's makeup even after that bridesmaid had told me she didn't want makeup done. The prep went very well and we were on time which made for a very stress-free environment. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that May didn't end up doing my hair herself. She left it to the other woman and then left before I was done. My hair looked very pretty, but it wasn't what we had practiced (and it upset me), and I felt May should have been able to stay to do mine.
