Matty B is the man!

Matty B was absolutely incredible - better than we could have ever imagined! We love to dance, so having a great DJ was really important, and he did not disappoint. Everyone danced all night! He can truly do it all! DJ, sing, play the sax, and kept the energy up all night!

He came highly recommended from a friend’s wedding, and was easy to see why! Matty was so easy to work with and made everything feel effortless. His girlfriend was also wonderful, helping behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly.

We would recommend Matty B to anyone - he’s talented, fun, and knows exactly how to get any crowd dancing and having a blast. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without him!!!

Amazing!! Hire him!

I truly cannot say enough about how amazingly talented MattyB is! He performed at my wedding in October of 2023 and was the highlight of the night! I got to experience his amazing talent first at my friend’s wedding and immediately knew I had to hire him for my own wedding. He was so easy to work with throughout the wedding planning process and made the whole thing simple and stress free. He showed up to our wedding and just blew us and all of our guests away with his unbelievable DJ and entertainment skills. Our guests couldn’t resist getting out on the dance floor even BEFORE dinner was served and stayed out there all night long. So many of our guests continue to talk about how amazing Matty B was and how much they enjoyed his entertainment. Thank you so much Matty for making our wedding so perfect! Simply the best!!

Matty B is simply the BEST! Look no further! I have seen him at about 7 weddings in the past ten years, and knew before I even met my husband that Matty B would be playing at my wedding one day! He gives an unreal performance and knows how to play to the crowd and get the party started. I trusted him to come up with the playlist for the night and he played the saxophone and sang all night long. I can’t wait to see him at the next wedding!

Made our wedding an absolute party!

We hired over 15 vendors for our wedding and one of our best decisions was hiring Matty B. He serenaded our guests upon arrival with his saxophone and then executed our ceremony music perfectly. Throughout cocktail hour guests thought there was music playing until they saw him playing the guitar and singing, he was beyond professional and sounded amazing. Then going into the reception he truly was the heartbeat of the dance floor. He kept the party going and took the direction that we gave him on the vibe of music we wanted perfectly. Oh and I can't forget about dinner! He again serenaded the guests with his guitar and saxophone and set the vibe for dinner perfectly. I could not recommend him more for your next event.

My daughter’s wedding

Matty B was the musical entertainment at my daughter’s wedding. He really helped make it a magical evening. Everyone loved the music and the way he engages and moves through the audience. The music was exceptional and Marty was a wonderful presence guiding the evening and spreading joy.

Absolutely fantastic

Matty B was one of the best decisions we made when it came to planning our wedding! We didn't want anyone else for our wedding day as we had seen Matty B perform at other weddings and he was phenomenal then, and was for our day as well! He has the unique ability to combine both live music and DJ so you get the best of both worlds - and he is highly skilled in both areas. I cannot even count how many of our guests came up to us to compliment how great he was. Two months have passed and we still have guests commenting on his amazing singing and music! Not only is he great at what he does, but he's fantastic to work with. Very responsive, reassuring, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!

Unique and memorable DJ experience

Matty B is a one of a kind entertainer, his combination of both live performance and DJing is truly unique. During our initial phone calls he was so personable and made us comfortable hiring him right away. Although we couldn't find a lot of videos of his work, we knew his vocals were amazing and that he was going to bring the energy we wanted for our reception. During cocktail hour Matty B was playing live saxophone and it was fantastic. Our guests were raving about him afterwards and he brought a really fun energy right from the beginning. During the reception he played all the music we wanted and kept people on the dance floor literally all night. We had the best night and we definitely have to thank Matty B for a lot of that! His mix of live performance with DJing is perfect for any wedding and you would be hard pressed to find it anywhere else.

Worth every penny

Like most of the other reviews of Matty B on WeddingWire have mentioned, Matty B is an exceptional performer. The whole night, our guests were asking where we found him and commenting on how amazing he was. Even our event coordinator wanted Matty B’s contact info the next day. The dance floor was packed all night. You’d be jamming to a song, only to turn around and realize Matty B was actually singing. Everyone was blown away. His gig is the perfect mixture of live music and DJ. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without him.

Unforgettable!

We heard about Matt back in 2019 when he was the DJ for a family friend's wedding and we were so blown away by what we heard that he was one of the first vendors we booked for our July 2022 wedding. We wanted a mixture of both DJ and live music to satisfy all age groups that would attend our wedding and luckily with Matt, we got everything we hoped for and more! He was open to all of our song requests and was very helpful during the planning process in order to make all of our wedding music come to life. Matt was on the saxophone as people were arriving at the venue and it was just so peaceful and welcoming. He continued to play the saxophone during the cocktail hour and more during dinner in addition to singing live. He sure knows how to get the party started and this continued into hours of dancing where guests did not leave the dance floor. He was such a blast and even joined us in the crowd! Our guests are still raving about him and bring up such great memories from the music on our wedding night. Matt was such a joy to be around and we couldn’t recommend him enough!

Every wedding needs matty b

I wish there was a rating higher than 5 stars! If you’re looking for a full dance floor without the corny wedding DJ behavior PLEASE book Matty B. We have attended multiple weddings that he’s been the DJ and they have been some of the most fun and memorable times! As soon as we booked our date I knew I had to have him there! Matty knows how to get the room going by playing recognizable (and enjoyable) songs, while adding his own flair by playing his instruments and singing along live. Our guests could truly not believe his talent, many didn't even realize it was him playing! He truly provides a one of kind experience by entertaining and captivating the room. We had our guests coming up to us asking about him all night, and still even after the wedding they want to know about him! We wish that every wedding we attended had him there. Throughout the planning process, he was super helpful, responsive, and accommodating of our needs (including a covid postponement). We are forever grateful to have had him be a part of our day!

Amazing DJ

He got the party started!

Matty B single handedly made our wedding! I wanted a DJ and my husband wanted a live band but luckily with Matty B, we both got what we wanted. He was on the saxophone during cocktail hour walking around the event working the crowd. Later in the evening after dinner he dj’d and our guests did not leave the dance floor. He was open to all of our song requests and made sure during the planning process that we had all the songs and types of music we wanted to be played on a playlist. Matty B is a joy to be around and was a blast to have at our wedding. Our guests are still raving about him and another family member even had him at his event 2 weeks after our wedding. We couldn’t recommend him enough! Thanks for getting the party started Matty B!

Incredible Entertainer

The first thing people mention to me about our wedding was the incredible musician/DJ, Matty B! I had seen videos of Matty playing at weddings and heard him playing live online, so I was confident that he would be an incredible choice for music at our wedding. During the cocktail hour, Matty played live music (guitar/saxophone) and sang. Before seeing him in the room, many of our guests just assumed that the music they were hearing was a recording, as it was that impressive. During the reception, Matty was energetic and personable without seeming insincere. His singing voice is fabulous and his ability to move around while performing (singing and playing instruments) was so entertaining. I truly do not remember one moment when the dance floor was not full of people having the time of their lives. During the wedding, countless friends and relatives approached me in astonishment, saying how blown away they were with the entertainment. In addition to performing our preferred songs and some of his staples, Matty also played live songs upon request! If you are looking to have live music and a DJ, Matty is the best of both worlds! We cannot rave about and recommend him enough. He is truly a talent professional and we were lucky to have him perform at our wedding.

Absolutely Amazing!

We are very impressed with Matty B. As others have noted, he is not only a DJ but a professional entertainer. Matty walks onto the dance floor and mingles with our guests, while playing the saxophone. He is thoughtful, kind, and caring and gathers information carefully in regards to what to announce and when to announce it. If there were any awkward silences or anything that happened that was not exactly planned out, Matty handled it like a professional. Many of our guests inquired about him, complimented his services, and asked where we found him (we found him through a family member; he is a DJ at the singles dances that she goes to). I highly recommend his services for your wedding or event!

You need Matty B!!!

Having Matty B for entertainment was honestly the best decision we made for our wedding. He is one of a kind and the whole package - integrating saxophone, guitar, vocals, and DJ flawlessly throughout the night. Matty B fed on the energy of our crowd and took our dance floor to another level. His talent is hard to find anywhere else and it was difficult to tell whether it was MattyB or the original artist singing - he really is unbelievable!! To this day all our wedding guests cannot stop raving about MattyB and tell us it was the best and most fun wedding they had even been to. This is mostly thanks to Matty! Matty B crushed it!

The DJ and live music combo that Matty B offers really stood out when we were planning our wedding. We checked him out at a local restaurant and immediately knew we had to book him. Best decision we made! Matty stole the show, got everyone up on the dance floor, and absolutely rocked it on the sax. Everyone loved him. Two of our friends booked him after our wedding. I recently hired Matty B for my small wedding and both of my children over the last few years used him for their larger weddings. Matty B is the best of both worlds

Not sure what to do for your wedding music? Bands are so expensive but they get the people going! DJ's are par for the course but they don't hit your bottom line as hard.

Matty B can do both for you at a price point that doesn't blow up your budget. All your guest will get the live music vibe but he will still spin the classics that everyone expects. You simply can't go wrong with him no matter what you are looking for. Very professional, very good at his job, and i still have people asking me where i found him.

The Perfect Summer Wedding

We first saw Matty B at my Niece's wedding and knew we had to have him for our Daughter's. He is extremely talented, playing guitar, saxaphone and his singing voice is amazing. Guests are still raving!

After hearing great reviews from family and friends, my fiance and I decided to hire Matty B for our wedding. He absolutely blew us away! Three months after our wedding, our guests are still talking about how great the music was. Matty Bernier DJ- Best decision of the entire wedding

Matt was unbelievable and without a doubt the best choice of our entire wedding in Kennebunkport, Maine. He worked with us to perfect the wedding party entrance, played his heart out on the saxophone, sang beautifully, and had everyone dancing for hours. Multiple people came up to us during the wedding asking who he was and where we found him. He played at my sisters wedding in 2012 and I never forgot about him, for 6 years, and was determined to have him as my DJ for our wedding- that’s how good this guy is. I would book him for every event I had if I could. He was even classy enough to play my sisters and brother-in-law’s first dance song at one point in the night, just for them, which was very special. She won’t forget that. I still have friends commenting about Matt whenever we talk about the wedding. Easily the best decision we made and probably the only aspect of the wedding that wasn’t over our budget. I would recommend Matt to anyone over any other DJ or band, any day. Nothing compares to him. Great job Matt.

From day one

We knew the moment we saw Matty B at a friends wedding a few years ago that if we ever got married we’d want him at ours. Amazing Musician, MC + DJ

Wedding Music

Matty B was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. He sang, performed, and DJ’d our cocktail hour and reception, and our guests absolutely loved him. People were coming up to us all night talking about how amazing he was, and are still talking about it a week later. Our reception was in a small space with limited dancing room, so we were worried people wouldn’t get up to dance, but Matty had everyone up dancing the entire time. He made sure the party was fun for every age group. He also made planning a breeze and met up with us ahead of time in person to go over all of our details, and was so quick to respond to any questions leading up to the day. Another Great Experience!

We knew we had to have Matty B for our wedding after we saw him perform at a friends of ours. We even gave his info to others who hired him unseen! At our own wedding, instead of hearing "Congratulations", we kept getting "Who is that guy?? We want his name - he's amazing!" Get used to Matty B stealing the show! So talented!

Matty B is excellent! His mix of live music and DJing for our wedding was awesome. He also has a great singing voice and was able to really keep our guests engaged and entertained. We got so many comments from our guests about how talented he was.

Matty is super nice and easy to work with. The planning process was very easy. He provided online planning tools to help us pick our songs, etc and was always available to answer any questions we had along the way.

He is amazing!

Matty B was the perfect mix of having a live band and DJ. So many people asked how we found him and everyone was constantly talking about how incredible he was. People were dancing all night long.
Leading up to our wedding, he was very easy to work with. We talked on the phone a few times and worked the timeline of the night out and discussed a few songs. We told him the kind of vibe we were going for (dance all night) and he nailed it. I am so happy we booked him and am going to recommend him to anyone I know who gets engaged.

Blown away by Matty B!

2 words: BOOK HIM. Everything about Matty B's performance was beyond anything we could have even dreamed of. The first words out of every guest that night were "Where did you find this guy!?", and everyone is still raving about him today - 6 weeks later.

There ceremony and reception were in 2 separate buildings, and Matty B was able to set up sound systems in both spaces without hesitation. He played live sax as guests were arriving and during the ceremony. And continued with live sax, guitar, and singing throughout cocktail hour and dinner, and then got the party going! I know I'm biased since it was my wedding, but I've never been to a wedding where the dance floor was so packed all night and everyone was having this much fun. I've been to weddings with 10+ person bands that don't even compare - Matty B is so unique and truly a special talent. His YouTube videos are great, but they do not do him justice. He was super professional, knows how to read the room, had perfect music selections, and I could go on and on and on. I hope you stopped reading this review 5 sentences ago to go BOOK HIM.

Matty B was an incredible entertainer! I say that because at our wedding he wasn't only a DJ, but a singer, guitarist, drummer, and saxophonist. What impressed me most is his DJ'ing was far and between, I felt like most songs were played by him, and he was amazing.

I also appreciate his communication throughout the entire process. We Skyped when needed because he was out of face-to-face distance to meet. We had several contacts through phone, e-mail, and text and he was very timely with all of his responses. He was also very accomodating to all of our requests, including playing our 1st dance song!

The best compliment I can give is that everyone who was at my wedding stated he was the best entertainment, they kept asking if he had a card, and I kept telling them, "go ask him, I'm sure he does!

An amazing experience and I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for more than some average DJ experience!

Matty B literally made our wedding. The majority of rave reviews centered around Matty B. He is a jack of all trades; he did acoustic and sax at our cocktail hour, MCed the wedding traditions, played some guitar in the dining room while people ate, and DJed at the end with some added singing and sax. It was AMAZING. I thought other reviews were joking when they said that their friends tried to book him mid-wedding but they weren’t kidding at all; so many people have told us they approached him during the wedding and will book him in the future. Matty is by far the BEST musician/DJ out there in the wedding world. He truly is the difference between a good wedding and a great wedding. His musical talent is unbelievable. One second he is playing the sax, the other second he is singing Michael Buble (and yes he sounds just as good, if not better than Buble). He kept the party going all night at my wedding. Not a person was in their seat because everyone was on the dance floor! He is such a blast. If you are looking for someone who is fun, can read a crowd, has great taste in music, is different than an average DJ, and will keep the party going all night, Matty is your guy!

Matty B was an excellent choice for our wedding at Glen Manor! I would say his flexibility with regard to what we wanted was spot on. We weren't exactly sure how we wanted a few things to go that night so he made us feel very comfortable in leaving our options open and seeing how it played out. We loved the fact that he mixed some live music, especially during cocktail hour when he was floating around with his saxophone. He also met us prior to the event to discuss everything and was always readily available when we needed him. A true professional and a great performer!

Matty B is beyond amazing! From setting the tone with saxophone when guests arrived for the ceremony, to wowing the guests with his incredible voice during dinner, and to keeping everyone on the dance floor all night long with his DJ + live music double play, Matty B really made the night. Every guest we spoke to commented on how amazing he is, wondered how such an incredible talent existed, and wanted to know where we found him. The praise continued to brunch the next day. There was no shortage of amazement and wow from everyone at the wedding, including ourselves, the bride and groom.

Matty B is also very easy to work with. He is responsive and professional. I wanted a special remix for my father-daughter dance, and Matty B did it right away, giving us plenty of time to practice the dance. Everyone loved the remix! He was able to help us manage the schedule on the day of the wedding while making sure we're comfortable with the pace. Everything was so smooth, easy, and relaxed.

He had the dance floor packed all night- even during dinner! The dance floor wasn’t big enough to fit everyone-I’m pretty sure people were even dancing on the carpet! I found Matt Bernier while attending an event at the Sagarmore Resort in Lake George. He blew me away! I knew I had to have him for our wedding. I got a business card off of his table and called him first thing that Monday. As our wedding was only 5 months out I was sure he would be booked. Luckily, he was available and I booked him on the spot.

Matt Bernier was beyond amazing. Our wedding guests still talk about how great he was! I even had a few friends try to book him while he was playing at our wedding. That's how great he is!

Do not second guess yourself, booking Matty B for your wedding is a must. If you want live music, but also don’t want to sacrifice the perks of a DJ as well, he is the perfect choice! Matty B has a beautiful voice, and an incredible talent to blend his live music and playlists together. We utilized Matty B’s saxophone playing for our cocktail hour. The way he interacted with our guests and his smooth notes in the background set the tone of entertainment for the rest of the wedding. He also has a good sense of how to interact with different guests. He really played it up with my grandmother who loves live music and talking where he kindly just played alongside some more quiet family members. Our entrances, speeches and dances went off without a hitch. During dinner, Matty provided simple entertainment as well that continued to impress our guests, and allowed for something to talk about it table talk had gone silent. When it came time to dance, Matty B brought the energy and the playlist. He played the songs we requested, but at just the right time to fit the mood of the crowd.
Communicating with Matty B was very easy. He provided many planning tools to help us with our music selection, was professional in all conversations, and was prompt and ready with all equipment for set up and take down.
He will be a forever legend of our wedding!

Incredible performer! Incredible talent! He does it all. We initially came up with a number of songs we wanted Matty to play at the wedding. But then we went to see him perform one night and were blown away by his singing, his sax playing, his entertaining. He was the complete package. So, when it came time to go over that list of songs, we just threw it out and told Matty to do what he does! Let me tell you, that worked out tremendously as he was amazing at the wedding! Everyone was singing and dancing all night long. We met Matty B at my matron of honor’s wedding the a couple of years ago. We both wanted a DJ that could cater to all ages for a reception playlist and do more than just play music. Matty B does just that! He reads the room for appropriate song choices, sings (very well!!), and plays both the saxophone and guitar!! Our guests were extremely impressed with his talents and how easily he worked the crowd. Never was there a moment where we felt anything was over the top or too invasive. Matty B knows exactly how to interact with guests in a tasteful, respectful, and engaging way making sure the dance floor is full the entire night!! He also took some videos of his own at different parts of the reception and sent them to us after the wedding!! A super nice surprise :)
In the months leading up to the wedding, Matty B was very professional and easy to work with! At the time of booking, we were living in TX so we could not meet up in person, but we spoke on the phone. He sent us a questionnaire to plan out each part of the reception, as well as lists for us to fill out (only if we chose to) for must play, maybe play, and do not play music. A couple of weeks before the wedding, we went through the schedule of our evening and answered any questions. He was very knowledgable about what works and what doesn’t, and was able to give us advice on things if we weren’t sure.
It’s been 3 months and our guests seriously cannot stop talking about how amazing he was and how much fun they had!!! In fact, my cousin immediately booked him for their wedding next year! So looking forward to seeing him again! We simply cannot say enough about his talents, professionalism, and entertainment! If you are looking to have a party that will be talked about for years to come, we highly recommend him for your wedding or any other special occasion!

MattyB: Muscian, DJ and MC Extraordinaire!

“Amazing!” … “Wow! Where did you find him?!?” … were typical of the OH-SO-MANY compliments we received from our wedding guests regarding MattyB and his music at our July 2017 wedding celebration. We are an older couple (both in our 50’s) and some of the elements in our wedding ceremony and reception weren’t necessarily “traditional”. However, MattyB worked with us to tailor our special day to be just the way we wanted it to be … and he was fantastic! MattyB was very flexible in helping us with all of our needs and ensuring that everything went smoothly – serving as sound system engineer, musician, DJ and MC – for our celebration that had both outdoor and indoor elements. We had an outdoor ceremony and were concerned that our guests would be able to hear well … MattyB set up his first class sound system, and the words that were spoken and the special recorded song we had selected for our service, came across clearly and were of a perfect volume. After the wedding, during the hors d’oeuvres and refreshments hour held on an outdoor deck, MattyB strolled amongst our guests, entertaining them with his wonderful saxophone playing. When we moved inside for dinner, MattyB subtly and expertly orchestrated the evening while continuing to delight everyone with his incredible singing and wonderful instrumental pieces, while mixing in recorded music we had specifically requested for the occasion. When we opened up the dance floor, it filled up instantly and remained that way for the rest of the evening! Dancing to MattyB’s live and recorded music was so much fun! We wished the evening could go on and on … MattyB was everything we had hoped he would be and more … He truly helped to make our wedding celebration an absolutely wonderful and memorable occasion! Matt was extremely talented, professional, and fun! Our friends are still (1 year later) talking about how unique and awesome Matt was at the wedding. If you want a memorable experience with someone you can trust to deliver awesome music and make sure the night runs smoothly – Matt is your guy. It was important to us to have live music for certain parts of the reception, but we didn’t want to pay for a full 8-piece band. We liked the idea of having a DJ once the formal parts of the night were over when everyone is just dancing and having fun, and it was awesome that Matt could still interject some live Saxophone, singing, or other instruments. Matt was able to deliver the perfect type of music and mood for each part of the wedding and we felt fully comfortable trusting him to use his judgement and didn’t have to worry about micro-managing the music/flow of the evening. Matty B was phenomenal! Not only did he knock our reception out of the park he was very accessible and easy to work with the months before the wedding. We met Matty B after a family friend went to a wedding and highly recommended him! He said Matty sounds like Kenny G so if you want classy mixed with modern day fun he's definitely the guy to talk to. Boy are we glad we did! After meeting with him and listening to his music online we realized he perfectly fit with what we envisioned and wanted for our special day. Before the wedding he sent us a detailed questionnaire that helped us all communicate and discuss our vision for the evening. He was open to all ideas and had a great wealth of knowledge about our venue, reception schedule timing and what worked well.

We liked that Matt is more than a dj. He is an entertainer! He reads the room, makes excellent song choices, sings and plays the saxophone. Our guests were floored with not only his musical abilities but that he worked the audience and crowd throughout the entire night. It was done in a way that was classy and fun rather than over the top. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had at the wedding and how they just loved the "saxophone guy"! Matt also took some informal videos during the evening and without asking he complied them and sent them to us after the wedding! Talk about going the extra mile! Overall, couldn't say enough about how talented and wonderful Matty B was to work with! Matty B was truly unbelievable at our wedding, and we had the time of our lives! We have received countless remarks from guests about how wonderful he was, and we were so happy to see guests on the dance floor the whole time and really enjoying themselves. Matty B made our wedding complete. Our wedding was in the midst of a snowstorm in CT and he was still there on time and helped get everyone on the dance floor as well as keep them there! We had so many of our guests tell us how much they enjoyed the music. Several even wanted his name to save for upcoming events of their own. He provides live music which gave a whole different dimension to our wedding. We could not have been happier with how everything went!

Matty B was a great DJ. My husband and I were looking thru WeddingWire for a DJ since we both were very particular with music. We're so luck we found him, because not only does he serve as the host and DJ, but he is an all-around musician. He plays the saxophone, guitar and many more. He is very professional and personal to his clients. He makes sure that our music tastes are respected. Our wedding as a blast, and a lot of the guests could not forget it because of Matty B! One of the things we've heard over and over again about our wedding was how awesome our DJ was! Matt was easy to work with and super accommodating. Everyone loved the sax before the ceremony and throughout dinner, and we were so impressed with everything Matt did to make the night special! We had a fairly small wedding, and with a good number of introverts (including the groom!), my biggest concern was with guests not dancing all night. Well, I shared my concern with Matt, and he was the absolute best at drawing people out to the floor. The venue had to cut us off because we would have kept dancing the night away! We had a truly beautiful day and every person who came up to compliment something always started with - Matt is awesome! Matt performed at our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner reception. He did a mix of DJ and live music. One of the most common compliments from our guests was in regards to his seamless transition between DJ and Live music. You just couldn’t tell when he was singing or if you were listening to the original track. We had several musicians among our guests, some who even perform at weddings like Matt, and they were all incredibly impressed. Not only is Matt incredibly talented, but from a wedding planning perspective, he made things stress free. We met on the phone with him a few times throughout the six months in advance of our big day. He helped us to understand the best timeline for our needs, different options for introductions, and met every request we had. His online planning tool made us confident that all our song selections would be played at the right points of the day, and everything went off without a hitch. If we are ever in need of music entertainment for a future event - we’re calling Matt. I hope you do too, you won’t regret it!

Matty B was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding (if not the best!). We knew we wanted great entertainment; live music and someone that would keep the dance floor packed all night by playing a variety of classics and new hits. We found that person in Matty B. From the moment we reached out to him we knew he was a true professional. He responded quickly to my inquiry and because we were local, he gave us a few places he would be playing that week and we went to see him live. Within 10 minutes of seeing him perform we knew we had to book him for our wedding. From there our experience only got better. He has an online planning form fit for a Type A bride and met with us twice to get a full understanding of our vision, all while providing helpful suggestions from all his experience.
On the wedding day itself he even exceeded our expectations! He engaged the crowd without being obtrusive and the dance floor was PACKED all night. The guests loved when he came through the crowd singing and/or playing the sax. Two guests have already asked for his contact information for their upcoming weddings. He was the talk of the night with everyone asking where we found him and commenting on how talented he is (singing, sax, guitar, etc). Matty performed in a smaller venue (@30 friends) in my Garage for 3 friends whose birthdays were the same week. Not everyone at the event knew each other, but by the end of the evening, due to Matty singing, playing the sax, walking thru the groups of people, everyone participated in a fun, exciting evening. We danced, sang and listened to music all evening. My friends are still sending me e-mails, texts, on what a great night they had. Thanks Matty for providing my friends an evening they will always remember and the new friends they made.

We hired Matty B for our July 3rd wedding this summer. He was amazing! Our guests were expecting to hear music from your typical DJ, but instead they were pleasantly surprised to be entertained with a combination of live music including saxophone and vocals, and DJing. We received many compliments from our guests about Matty B and how refreshing he was. Not only did he play the latest hits and much of our prepared song list, but also surprised us with self selected live music during our cocktail hour and dinner. Furthermore, even when he was DJing, Matty B played his saxophone to create a blend of live and DJed music. The whole experience was very unique, personal, and fun.
My husband and I were referred to Matty B through our photographer and had never actually met him in person until our wedding day. However, because we had spoken so many times through email and phone calls I felt like I already knew Matt before I met him. He took the time to get to know what style of music and atmosphere we were looking for. He went through every aspect of our day and all of the details many times, walking me through every step and exactly what would happen. He had a large selection of music to choose from and the songs that he didn't have, he was able to get without issue. Matt arrived early on the day of our wedding to set up his sound systems and stayed late to finish out our reception which went past the allotted time due to our guests who didn't want to leave the dance floor because they were having such a great time! I think 99% of our guests made it out to the dance floor and it remained crowded all night thanks to Matt!
We were so pleased with our wedding day music, including all aspects (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) and would highly recommend Matty B. Several of our guests said that our wedding was the best one they'd ever been to, and we think the music and atmosphere provided by Matty B contributed significantly to that!

Matt Bernier Entertainment surpassed all of our expectations for our July wedding. Matt made the entire planning process a breeze. He was so easy to deal with, his pricing was reasonable, he is also very quick to respond via text, cell or email and is also willing to drive a fair distance to meet you in person. He will do all it takes to ensure your day is complete perfection. After our final conversation with Matt the night before rehearsal to confirm some last minute things we were left at ease without a worry in the world. We knew after our first conversation with him that we had to book with him. His amazing reviews do little justice to how incredibly talented this man truly is. Can't imagine my wedding without him. He gets everyone up, dancing, singing, interacting and ensures they are all enjoying their time. Not only does he play instruments along to the music he also sings so well that over half of our guests couldn't even tell it was him singing because he sounded so similar to the artists. He played live instrumental music while the guests were finding their seats & cocktail hour. All of our friends and family were in awe with his talented performance. Very well organized, all around pleasure to deal with and just a great guy, book with Matty today!! You won't regret it!!

Amanda Carr was a pleasure to work with. She brought abundant enthusiasm and a wonderful positive attitude to the process -- from the very first communication, first meeting, and all the way through to the end of the reception. We couldn't have been happier with the entertainment provided by Amanda Carr at our wedding cocktail hour, ceremony, and reception. She struck just the right tone with the music selected for each phase of the event. We found her online event music planning software easy to use and very helpful. She was very responsive to our questions, and offered assistance and suggestions as needed. In addition to being an expert DJ, Amanda also sings - and has an amazing voice! My groom and I absolutely LOVED Amanda! She did such an incredible job not only in her music selection but in making sure everyone was up and having fun all night. We had a smaller 50 person wedding and were nervous about the age ranges and what selection everyone would like...but she is incredible at what she does and immediately calmed our worries. We gave her a few of our favorite songs and she created the perfect sound for such an amazing night! We had such a wonderful time and all of our guests are still raving about her and how much fun she was!

We never experienced such a high level of DJ and music selection before Matty B.
He was super engaging all the guests into dancing upbeat tunes and slow dances too.
His music selections and talent and personality made our Holiday Party a huge success. We plan to hire him again for this years Holiday Party 2017!

Matt Bernier was our entertainment at our Wedding on August 12th of this year and he was a big hit with everyone who attended. From the very beginning he was very easy to work with, affordable, professional and easy going. He is a talented musician and knows how to get a crowd going by switching between multiple instruments and interacting with the crowd. He also followed through on all the special request songs etc. that my wife and I had requested.
If you want to have a fun time at your wedding then you should use MattyB entertainment.

Amanda sang and provided DJ services at a wedding that I attended recently. I was so impressed with her talent, that I immediately booked her for an Adult Social at our summer club. I appreciate her responsiveness and flexibility. She is an amazing singer and, during her very short breaks, is an experienced DJ. She is able to quickly read the crowd and tailors her selections to appeal to a wide variety of listeners. I hope that she will come back and sing for us next summer!

Matt Bernier has to be hands down the best wedding entertainer in the business. His ability to play the guitar and sax while doing live performances was amazing. Casandra and I really enjoyed how interactive he was by engaging with the guests while performing. He leaves nothing to chance and was more than happy to make sure we got the exact music we wanted for our wedding. Casandra and I wholeheartedly recommend Matt Bernier for anyone's wedding. Matty is simply AMAZING! We can not say enough good things about him. He really is the full package when it comes to having a perfect DJ. He is out on the dance floor, walking around the room, singing and playing his saxophone. He really got all the guest out on the dance floor all night! Even the 80-90 year old grandparents where non stop dancing. My guest are still raving about how perfect the wedding was and we have to admit, it was all because of Matty B! Matty was WONDERFUL!!!!! So happy I found him and so glad he was able to make our day even more special!

He really is the full package- he played recorded music during the bridemaids' & groomsmens' processions- and then he broke out the sax for my walk down! "Somewhere over the Rainbow" sounded amazing, especially with the great acoustics in the meetinghouse at Old Sturbridge Village, where the ceremony was held.

Then at the reception he had music going from the first toast to last call... A great mix of recorded and live music, he has wonderful software that allowed my husband and I to make a playlist with different levels- "definitely play, play if possible, definitely do NOT play"- which was really helpful.

He visited the venue prior to the wedding to see the layout, and he has enough equipment that he had stuff for the ceremony and for the reception set up beforehand and it was a seamless transition.

A wonderful guy to work with, super accommodating, and good at wrangling us when we were being flaky and untimely.
HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want a Dj who can sing and sound just like the musician whose song he is playing then Matty B is the guy for you. I originally wanted a band but Matty B is so talented he is like a one man band.

Matty B performed at my daughter's wedding on 11/13/2015. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. He was truly responsible for making the wedding ceremony a night we will never forget. He is an incredibly talented entertainer. He is NOT one of those DJ's that just stays with his equipment and plays songs. He is out on the dance floor, walking around the room, singing and playing his saxophone and he has a great voice and his saxophone was incredible. He knows how to get people on the dance floor and knows how to cater to his audience. We had a big wedding with folks from their 20's to their 80's and he played music so that everyone had a great time. During the cocktail hour he provided great background music and worked the room walking around with his saxophone. He provided the ceremony music and worked with my daughter to find the version of a song she wanted for her ceremony. He also provided beautiful uplighting and made the arrangements with folks he works with for a photo booth and the folks he contracted with to run the photo booth could not have been nicer and easier to work with. Our guests loved the photo booth. Perhaps the best testimony to how great Matt was is that hardly anyone left early because they were having such a great time. I can't tell you how many of our guests asked who he was and how did we find him because they had such a great time. He is also one of the nicest, easiest people I have ever worked with. Matt Is an incredibly talented entertainer. and one of the nicest people you will ever work with.
