Matt did a great job!! He worked seamlessly with our photographers and captured amazing moments with an artistic eye. The drone was a must-have!! That footage is so beautiful and really captures the beautiful day we were lucky enough to have! The social media (3.5 min) video was the perfect length and captured snippets of all of the day. The feature length video is gorgeous and we will treasure it forever. -

The best of the best!
Matt was absolutely amazing to work with, from the day of our wedding up to receiving our photos and videos. Matt and his team are highly personable and it felt like as if they were just another group of friends attending our special day. We received our sneak peaks in a reasonable manner and knew that every cent was worth what Matt does. We got our full photo album of over 1500 photos 6 months after our wedding, I know some may think that’s “too long” however it was absolutely worth the wait. It rehashed our feelings of the day all over again. Shortly after we received our highlight reel and our final video, which to our surprise was an hour long! We watched it together with family and friends & it made us all wish we could live the day over and over again. I am so grateful I chose to go with Matt, your wedding photos are such an important part of your day, and Matt makes sure to go above and beyond to deliver. Thank you again Matt!! -

Matt and his team not only produced the most stunning pictures, they made the whole picture taking process enjoyable. As a 2020 bride, I had a whole host of things to worry about, but photography was never one of them. After the engagement session, I knew that Matt would have everything under control...from keeping us on schedule the day of to managing the family pictures with 8 siblings. He was so easy to communicate with and had fantastic tips that extended well beyond photography thanks to all his wedding experience. He put me and my husband at ease in no time, even though neither of us are used to being in front of a camera. Matt had plenty of ideas for positioning etc. but he was also happy to incorporate any ideas I had. We even took pictures inside my home and my life long friends didn’t recognize the background because the end results were so magical. Getting the finished photos was like reliving the day all over again, except at my own pace. I even teared up as I looked at the album he gave us because I could not believe that I looked like such an angel (then my husband told me I’m so full of myself lol). We also had uneven wedding parties (7 guys, 5 girls) but Matt knew just what to do to have well balanced pictures. I am so thankful I chose Matt’s next level media, they do not disappoint! -

Matt’s Next Level Media IS Next Level!
Capturing my wedding day was a top priority for me going into wedding planning. I knew it would be such a special but also fast paced day, and that I’d want the best footage afterward so I could relive all the beautiful moments over and over. Matt not only made this dream of mine possible but went above and beyond. Matt’s team was actively taking photos and video footage prior to our ceremony as we got ready in our bridal suite and grooms room. Matt was also very open to taking photos of moments that were special to us (such as capturing when I put a little bow tie on my nephew). Not only did Matt and his team take photos and videos, but they were there to help any way they could with the few crisis that came up, as they usually do right before the ceremony haha! After our ceremony, Matt and his team did not slack off on their work AT ALL. They found endless locations on the venue property to take special and unique photos! Matt and his team also came to a family property for our after party since our reception was postpone (due to COVID). They planned to stay for about an hour, however they ended up staying much longer because he wanted to capture every special moment that was happening which I couldn’t be more thankful for. Lastly, our preview photos that we have received so far are UNREAL and NEXT LEVEL. We have gotten so many compliments on these photos, we are beyond excited to see the rest of them as we know Matt’s Next Level Media can do no wrong! -

My husband and I got married July 2019. We were so stressed planning like anyone would be. Matt was amazing from the start! We had no stress or anxiety. He responded promptly and made wonderful suggestions through the whole process. The day of the wedding I accidentally gave the wrong address but he made it early to film and was so understanding! Him and Rebecca the other videographer were just so patient and really captured our day! When we received our 3 minute highlight video I was in tears it was absolutely beautiful! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I will be recommending them to family and friends and can’t say enough good things! -

Matt and his crew were everywhere! They went above and beyond what we asked and even provided “snow” for our snowless winter wedding. So far we have received the sneak peak photos and every single one of them is different and perfect. Everyone was super professional and they were afraid to pose you or tell you where to go or to make adjustments so that you got just the right shot! My husband and I had a such a good day and we can’t wait to relive it over and over with the amazing photos and videos! -

Matt is truly a very awesome videographer! So kind, professional, and very knowledgeable about what he does. When looking for a videographer, I was in complete shock that in most cases, they cost as much or more than a photographer. So, I was a little bummed because I knew that I really wanted professional video for a number of reasons. My husband didn't think we needed a videographer, but had agreed on a budget for it (which was much less than what almost all vendors were asking). When I met with Matt, we discussed my budget. We were able to work out a plan of action that worked for us - less hours of coverage and only 1 videographer instead of 2. I didn't feel that I needed all day coverage, just the important things (first look, ceremony, the first dance, speeches).
I just got my highlight video over the weekend and am absolutely in love with it!! I knew Matt's work was good because I really dug around online and looked at many different vendors, but I was absolutely blown away by the video I received!!!! I have watched so many times and I can NOT wait to see my full length video once it is ready. I highly recommend Matt and his work!! -

Incredible Team
Matt and his team were the perfect addition to our wedding!
From the beginning, Matt worked with me on putting together my perfect photo and video package. He was helpful and understanding throughout the process so I knew he was going to be the right photographer for us!
Matt's photo ideas were just as fun and crazy as some of mine and I couldn't be more thankful that we had him! He was up for anything when it came to getting fun shots. Him and his team did not hesitate to make our day perfect. Because of them, our whole day ran smoothly. He made sure to keep is on track with time and to get pictures in the right lighting. He even arrived to our wedding with confetti bombs and sparklers as a special little wedding treat. We felt so comfortable having Matt and his team around for the entire day capturing some of the most precious moments of our perfect day. I seriously couldn't thank them enough for some of the shots we've already gotten. We just cannot wait to see more! -

My husband and I are so happy that we choose Matt’s Next Level Media for our videographer! Matt has been amazing to work with. He answered all my questions promptly and has kept an open line of communication from the day we hired him to the day we got our full wedding video! Seeing Matt’s work, I knew he would capture our day in a beautiful way. That is an understatement. Our wedding video blows me away. It is stunning! Watching it brings me right back to our wedding day. You can feel the love through the video and see all the fun that we had! That was so important to me. We love the drone shots and the candid video clips. Matt was so easy to work with! He made everyone feel so comfortable, he made sure he always had the best shot with angles and lighting, he showed up on time and made sure he recorded everything! I had a few surprises for my husband and I made sure Matt knew beforehand, and he captured everything perfectly! We love having this all on video to look back on. It really is perfect. I highly recommend Matt’s Next Level Media! You will love them! -

First of all Matt was a great value compared to a lot of other people his prices were great for what you got. He was professional, he knew what he was doing and on the day of the had an assistant and a drone! Matt did a great job working with the other vendors and the photographers to make sure everyone got the shot they needed. He was also creative and set up some really cool shots with the drone I never would have thought of. Then to top it off he stayed a little later than his contract without us even realizing. He really went above and beyond I would recommend him to anyone for sure. -

We hired Matt for videography for our wedding on 11/24/18 and we are so happy we did! Matt is such a nice guy, from the moment we met him, we felt like we knew him forever. He was an easy pic for us based on how well we got along and the gorgeous videos we watched of his past work. The day of the wedding he showed up on time and was just so easy to work with. Being on video can be a little awkward, but he made us feel at ease and worked quickly and it never felt weird. He was almost invisible as he worked, we both mentioned that we never really saw him so he was moving around like a ninja capturing our special day. We have not yet received our video yet, but we are so excited to see what Matt captured. -

Five stars
My husband and I are NOT photogenic people at all and by the photos and video you would never be able to tell.. I don’t have enough good things to say! My entire wedding was changed due to covid (with very short notice) and Matt was more than willing to work with every change we made. He made my backyard wedding look like it was at an expensive wedding venue. I highly recommend! -

I had MNLM for my microwedding so far, which was about 2hrs long. He was the first person to greet me at the venue and was super friendly and sweet. He worked amazing alongside my photographer and the video I have from him is so well done, beautiful, and he captured everything we could have asked for and more. He is also the only videographer that I saw that offers such great packages at an affordable price - and its not just a few minute highlight video. You will get everything important in your wedding day captured. I cant wait to have him again at my full reception next year! -

We hired Matt during COVID for our May 2021 wedding. We chose the photographer and videographer package and were blown away with our final product!!
With our package we also had an engagement session, in which we told him we liked ice cream. On the day of the shoot he shows up with a custom van and ice cream in hand to customize our photos, we loved that he paid such close attention to us as a couple.
On the day of the wedding he showed up early, and led the way. Making sure we were running on time. He did a great job organizing the bridal party and family and helped us feel comfortable the whole way through! I have already referred him a few times. And he's even taken my maternity and family photos since!
He takes time and care editing photos so there is a little wait between the event and the final product, but it's worth the wait!

We hired Matt for our wedding and we could not be happier with the results. We originally hired him for a big NYE wedding here in buffalo and last minute decided to get married in Canada where we fell in love on our anniversary. We gave him 38 days notice and he was more than willing to still be our photographer despite the MAJOR change. He is personable and so talented. Even some of our guests commented on how much they liked him. He’s also very affordable compared to a lot of the big companies. Overall, 5/5 starts. Our pictures are absolutely beautiful and we are so very happy with them. They truly bring us back to our special day. Thank you Matt! -

Had a horrible time booking this guy. He tried to hook up with the groomsmen. The photos were lousy and out of focus. Overall too pricey for what we got. Would never recommend him to my worst enemy. -

I had my wedding about a month ago and it was the best day of my life. I hate negativity and have resisted for a while on writing this. I wanted to just give good reviews to the amazing vendors, and not write a negative one because I wanted to focus on the positivity of the day. But after teetering on writing this for a while, I now feel like I have to post it to warn other couples. I hired matt in may of 2021 for my October 2022 wedding. He was responsive and pleasant when I first booked. He sent the contract immediately and I paid the deposit. I reach out about a year after, in May 2022 to make sure there was nothing else I needed to do and he said I was good to go still. We scheduled a call for September 2022 to go over final details for my wedding. The call was great and I was excited to work with him. This is when everything went south. The day after our call he messaged me informing me there was a conflict with bookings and he could no longer make the video but would be sending someone else. This bummed me because it was not what we agreed on and it was so last minute. I booked super far in advance to have him specifically and to have him jump ship so last minute made no sense. When he asked if it was okay with me I responded that I would really prefer to still have him. He ignored that and continued to just tell me he was bummed too. I ended up hiring someone else and thank GOD I did. Matt ensured he would give us our deposit back, and I have yet to get it back. I have sent him messages across many platforms and just finally heard back asking what my Venmo was but then nothing after that. After reading other reviews I am so thankful I went with my gut to not worth with him. He was so unprofessional and I am still trying to figure out how to get my money back.
The company I ended up going with is Black Horse Videography and I can’t recommend them enough. They were SO amazing. The owner Alex is so professional and a stellar example of what a Videography company should be like. I am so pleased with my work. Black Horse was such a blessing in disguise. Matt if you’re reading this, please respond because I need my money back. Future brides reading this, don’t book with Matt!! Not worth the stress and flakiness at all. I 1000% recommend Black Horse -

Wouldn’t recommend unless you can handle minimal communication and a rushed seeming final product a year later.
I wish I had read some honest reviews like mine. It would have saved me a lot of time, communication, stress and money. If you are a bride considering this company, I would suggest you rethink it.
Firstly, the owner Matt Hoeber seemed extremely responsive when I reached out to him and explained my interest in filming my wedding. We discussed some drone footage, having two videographers and pricing. He was extremely flexible when I had to postpone my wedding a year due to Covid.
On the day of the wedding I found out he wasn’t going to be doing the video as I had expected. He was going to be sending two people that worked for him. All seemed to be fine and they both showed up and were pleasant.
Unfortunately, I needed to reach out multiple times regarding the highlight reel. This is when communication started taking a turn but not completely ghosted yet. I had heard through social media there may have been a personal problem or an issue with the company so I did my best to understand. At the end of the day this type of footage is just so precious and unique that I really hoped we shared the same vision in regards to the final product.
My wedding was on June 26, 2021 and I received the highlight reel on November 8th. As per the contract, I thought it would have been a little bit quicker but I totally understood because I really liked the highlight reel! I looked back in the contract and it said most of the FINAL videos are done within six months but in absolute extreme cases could take up to one year but never more than a year. If it was anything near the quality of the highlight reel it would be perfection! Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. 😢
Starting a couple months after the highlight reel I was interested in a timeline. I was told that it would get done. We discussed a handful of songs I would like to see in it. This is when communication really took a turn. Over the next few months after that point and beginning to come up on the one-year mark I needed to reach out by cell phone, email, social media and WeddingWire. Completely GHOSTED. It is truly an awful feeling. It was not until I posted publicly on social media wondering if he was ok that I received a response on WeddingWire. I was reassured that my footage was fine and that it would be done in a couple weeks. Not a good feeling to be ignored but once again I assumed if the quality of the product was there I could look past it.
Fast forward to one year later (June 25, 2022) still without the final video, I reach out and ask when it will be done. I get a response the next day with the final video. I don’t know if he rushed to get it done to meet the one-year deadline, was sick of lack of communication with me or just did not care at that point but my husband and I were VERY disappointed in the final product.
I cried on our one year anniversary when I found out that many loved ones were not in the footage (of a very small 50 person wedding), no drone footage had taken place on the beautiful June day, the song transitions and sound of my hired violinist was minimal, many shaky shots and shots that were at an unfortunate angle. You could not clearly see everybody at the ceremony or the wedding party clearly walking down the aisle due to the angle at which was chosen. The ceremony video also cut out most of the wedding party that was standing up on the stage, my sister being completely cut out. It just made me sad that these once in a lifetime precious moments were not included.
I reached out to Matt on Wedding wire (The only way he responded to me at all recently) on July 20th, 2022 in hopes to have the final video edited (I hoped at least if he had more footage some editing could be done) and told myself I would wait one week. Surely I would get a general response by then. If I did not get a response (like many times previously) I would post how I honestly feel in hopes to save somebody from working with this company.
You can assume the outcome because I’m posting this honest review. I would be open to sharing the final video with anybody interested and you can see the quality discrepancies between that and the highlight reel. This entire experience has been disheartening. -

I hired Matt to capture my wedding on July 17, 2021.
Almost a year later and I have not received our video or highlight reel.
Do yourself a favor and do not hire Matt’s Next Level Media.
