We are so grateful we booked Matthew for our wedding photography. His thoughtfulness, professionalism, and organization were exactly what we were looking for. His eye for scenery and lighting also really set him apart.
Throughout our wedding journey, his thoughtful planning helped set a timeline for our big day. He listened to what we wanted, and his personalized schedule allowed for plenty of time with our guests while also composing beautiful shots.
On the day of the wedding, he made us feel comfortable just being ourselves and blended seamlessly into the background when needed. He also did not hesitate to suggest the small adjustments we needed to make a beautiful shot. We truly meant it when we told him we were most excited to work with him out of all of the vendors, and we would book him again and again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Matthew! -

An adventurous surprise proposal!
I cannot recommend Matthew enough! For my surprise proposal to my girlfriend, he literally went above and beyond. On our video call consultation, I had suggested a viewpoint on Bull Hill in Cold Spring but we couldn't find a lot of photos of the exact spot—so Matthew actually hiked all the way up there a few days early just to scope it out and make sure it was perfect!
On the day of the proposal, he arrived early to ensure everything went flawlessly and blended into the landscape beautifully. My now-fiance remembers noticing him but thought he was just another hiker enjoying the views. The natural photos he captured of us at the viewpoint and in the surrounding area are stunning. Matthew's dedication and meticulous preparation made us feel totally at ease. If you want a photographer who is adventurous, professional, queer-friendly, and willing to put in extra mileage (and elevation!) to get the perfect shot, Matthew is your guy! -

Matthew Rigby Photography is the best of the best and is unmatched in professionalism and true passion for capturing the perfect moments. Over the last few months, I had begun my process of looking for the right photographer to help me perfect my dream proposal for my girlfriend of 7 years. Having no experience in looking for photographers, I sent out inquiries to many local ones. Within an hour of sending these out, I received an email from Matthew who asked to set up a zoom meeting the next day. After jumping on the call, it was evidently clear that Matthew shared my vision of creating a great proposal and was willing to help in any way possible not just as a photographer but also as a proposal planner.
Over the next few weeks, we talked almost daily about different plans and eventually settled on one that seemed best. Being unfamiliar with the venue I planned to propose at; he even met me there a week prior to do a walk through of the entire property, so I was prepared for the big day. With weather jeopardizing the proposal, Matthew had come up with plan A, B and C to ensure the day was still special, despite the rain.
The weather ended up holding out and the proposal went even better than planned, thanks to Matthew. Less than 24 hours after the proposal and our photo shoot, Matthew sent us our photo album so we could share with friends and family. The photos came out unbelievable, and Matthew helped us capture a moment we will never forget!

We LOVED working with Matthew for our wedding photography! He was so professional, skillful, and caring and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was incredibly organized leading up to the wedding, making a schedule together with us and answering any questions we had. He helped the day of the wedding run very smoothly and made sure we got all the pictures we wanted. Him and his team were amazing at blending into the crowd to capture every moment without being in the way. Matthew even got some preview photos back to us right after the wedding which we already LOVE! We highly recommend working with him! -

Working with Matt was an incredible experience. From the moment we found his website, we were immediately drawn to his style. About a month before the wedding, he took the time to go over every family and bridal party photo combination we wanted, creating a detailed, organized list. He also asked about any special moments or details we wanted captured, ensuring nothing was missed.
On the wedding day, Matt was exceptionally organized and efficient. The whole process felt seamless, which meant we spent less time posing for group photos and more time enjoying our day. He captured everything we asked for—and more.
When we received the photos, we were absolutely blown away by the quality and quantity. Every special moment we could have imagined was captured beautifully. Matt’s eye for composition, his artistic style, and the way he brings out colors in his photos really showcase his talent. I 100% recommend booking Matthew Rigby as your wedding photographer! He was in the truest sense the definition of a professional. He has all of the qualities that make a wedding photographer amazing. My wife and I were instantly impressed by his organization and communication. He took the time to get to know us over the phone by asking questions about our lives, our story, and what photo theme we were interested in. He had examples on his website for different styles that made our decisions easier. Prior to the wedding, he had an organized and detailed questionnaire that would ensure the wedding day goes smoothly. He made one of the most essential parts of a wedding (photography) so much less stressful on us. On wedding day, he continued to impress us. His organization, positive attitude, ability to stay structured, but also be flexible to our last minute requests was remarkable. We were able to enjoy part of our cocktail hour thanks to his quick work after the ceremony. One of my favorite qualities about Matthew was his ability to capture special moments and allow the bride and groom private and intimate moments to share on the wedding day during the reception. He pulled us aside to capture the most stunning sunset picture that is one of my favorite pictures and moments together! Later in the night, he reminded us again to have a moment outside of the venue to cherish each other as newlyweds, and yet again, captured incredible moments that I will always remember. The quality and artistic nature of Matthew's photos are exactly what you want on your wedding day. We will have these incredible pictures for years! We can tell that Matthew does wedding photography for the right reasons. He spent so much time with the bride and bridesmaids for the getting ready pictures prior to the event. He captured every important moment during the ceremony. He continued to spend hours at our reception capturing the party atmosphere during dancing, cake cutting, and all of the moments I will be able to remember and relive thanks to his attention to detail and experience as a wedding photographer. One unique feature at the end of the night was he printed and framed a few of the best photos from the night and gave them as gifts to the bride and groom, and parents of the bride and groom. Seeing the photos in person so quickly the night of the wedding and having something to take back with us was remarkable. We cannot recommend Matthew more highly. He is a true professional, and the photographs that he took, edited, and delivered to us for download are flawless! You will not regret for one moment booking Matthew Rigby as your wedding photographer! -

Working with Matthew was incredible because he listened carefully to the ideas we had and asked all the right questions to be on the same wavelength with us. He always scouted photoshoot areas in advance and offered amazing suggestions for photo ideas. We had our engagement session with him and from the second we met we knew we made the right decision. Matthew took photos of our family for our daughter’s one year birthday and he was soo wonderful. He had awesome ideas for where to shoot that would give us the best fall coloring and beautiful photos showing the essence of New England. Obviously kids are tough to participate and he was so patient and got great shots with her smiling and actually looking at the camera! About a year and a half ago we did photos before our daughter was born and those were just as great. He’s really fun to work with. I would recommend 10/10!! -
