Great, Professional Officiant
Matthew was incredibly professional throughout our entire wedding planning and event; 10/10 recommend him to any other couple needing officiant services.
Matt provided us clear guidance and an overview of the steps we needed to take prior to the wedding day to ensure everything was set legally. He worked to ensure we had a ceremony that fit our needs, and even allowed us to tailor some of the readings/ etc that we used for the event. He ensured the bridal party and parents clearly understood their roles during our rehearsal ceremony. He conducted our ceremony with clear professionalism on the day of, not only with his behavior but also with his attire. He checked in with us prior to leaving the event to confirm everything went smoothly. In the days following the ceremony, he clearly communicated the status on having paperwork sent out.
While it is currently "trendy" to have a friend/close family member officiate services, the amount of guidance, professionalism, and peace of mind Matt brought to our wedding far outweighed having someone not familiar with the process officiate the services. Having Matt there to guide and officiate your services will not be a regret!

Matthew did an amazing job officiating our wedding! We met with Matthew back in 2023 for the first time when we had first had gotten engaged. We knew immediately we wanted him to officiate our wedding. He made planning the ceremony so easy. He helped us to pick readings for the ceremony, he had us personalize the ceremony by adding in our love story, and he helped us to incorporate my son by adding in a sand ceremony. As we got closer to our wedding date he was always quickly responsive to our emails. Communication was always so easy. He really helped us at our rehearsal dinner to see how it all would play out. On our big day, he helped to ease our anxiety and did a phenomenal job officiating! After the wedding he handled sending in the marriage license, which took one more thing off our plate. He was honestly perfect! He was very professional, easy to talk to, kind, and radiated such warm positive energy. We would recommend him to anyone tying the knot!

We used Matt for our wedding at Normanside Country Club and he was absolutely amazing! Most weddings I have been to have used family or friends as the officiant which is nice, but hiring a professional that has done it countless times and knows how to get it right is priceless. Gorgeous wedding ceremony!
We are beyond happy that Matthew officiated our October 19, 2024 wedding! Matthew is the only officiant we interviewed, because from the moment we spoke with him, we knew our ceremony was in good hands. We could tell right away that his style is to highlight the couple and everything that makes them special and unique. He made the process of creating a customized ceremony so easy; he is the perfect amount of hands on / helpful. His speaking voice, overall demeanor and composure would fit any ceremony flawlessly. Fortunately, we had a beautiful fall day for our wedding and could hold the ceremony outside. Unfortunately, bees decided they wanted to buzz around for a bit. Matthew was a true professional and did not flinch, pause or break rhythm of his speaking! He carried on and didn't once act like he noticed any bees at the altar. Cannot thank him enough for that grace under pressure. He delivered a heartfelt ceremony that had all of our guests tearing and smiling over all weekend long! Thank you Matthew!

My husband and I chose Matthew because he was amazing at our friend's wedding in 2019! We knew that he was exactly what we were looking for. From the moment we reached out to him to the day we got married, Matthew had open communication and was very flexible with the rehearsal. He has a great tone to his voice and designed our ceremony to fit us the most as a couple. The perfect Officiant for the Perfect Day!
Matt was just Amazing and he was extremely helpful! He clearly explained all his packages and walked us through each packages so we know what packages was best for us. We went for the Silver package, with a Catholic reading, with the sand ceromancy. There was also a moment of silence for the loved ones who could not be with us on this special day. This was very important for us.
On the day of the wedding Matt was there promptly, and waiting for us at the alter. His reading and the ceromancy he preformed was very wonderful. Everyone loved Matt at the wedding!
Matt took care of the marriage license afterwards which was nice, because, my bride and I forgot about that.

A perfect ceremony
Do yourself a favor and book Matthew as your ceremony officiant! From our first inquiry over e-mail until the day of the wedding, Matthew was responsive and professional. He guided us from the very beginning, starting with how to obtain a marriage license in New York, to ideas for how to create our ceremony. It took us a while to figure out how we wanted it to go, but when we finally did Matthew helped us put together the most beautiful, simple, and elegant ceremony. We wanted to include specific readings and scriptures and without question Matthew incorporated the ones we chose into the ceremony. Our goal was to keep the ceremony short and sweet, and Matthew did just that! He spoke with great candor and fluency. My MIL even commented afterwards how great of a job he did!
After the ceremony was over, he took care of sending our marriage certificate back to the clerk’s office and provided us with the tracking number. It was so nice not having to worry about this aspect of it!

My husband and I hired Matt because a friend of mine's sister had nothing but great things to say about him from when she got married. We couldn't have been happier with our decision! From the first time we met Matt via Zoom, he was professional, kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. Matt talked us through the steps we would need to take before our wedding day to prepare for the ceremony and how to obtain our marriage license. Matt was always very responsive, especially during the month leading up to our wedding day when we were thinking of more questions to ask. Matt was always quick and kind to respond. We chose not to have a rehearsal, however, Matt kindly met with us on Zoom to answer our last-minute questions and to talk through how the ceremony will unfold. My wife and I did not have to look far for a great review for Matthew and he was our first and only contact for an officiant. He took the time to get to know us and provided many different resources to help us understand that our vows should sound like and how they should be built. My husband and I worked with Matt under unfortunate circumstances. A week prior to our wedding, our original officiant was in an accident and would not be able to perform our ceremony. Within an hour, Matt had responded and sprung into action! He was able to meet with us the day we found out the news and was ready to perform our ceremony the following weekend. Not only was he very responsive, but very professional and personable as well. He went through everything with us at the rehearsal so we felt very prepared for the day of. After our ceremony we received so many positive remarks from our guests regarding how great of a job Matt did. He was quick to get our marriage license returned to the city clerk and even hand delivered it himself. We received our marriage certificate in the mail the next day. Great Officiant
It was very easy to choose Matthew as our officiant. The day we met him sealed the deal. He came prepared with notes, pamphlets, and everything you need to know about marriage in NY. Matthew always responded quickly to my texts and emails and always took our wants in a ceremony to heart. Even when we had to add or change a few details a week before the wedding Matthew always made sure to put it in the ceremony. Matthew showed up early to our venue which I appreciated. He spoke very fluidity and professionally. He took his time with the readings and didn't rush anything. I'm more than happy having Matthew Psichoulas as our officiant and I know every other soon to be bride out there will be thrilled to have him too.

Professional & Accommodating wedding officiant
Matt made our wedding so special! We met with him before to discuss how we wanted our wedding and vows to go and he is very accommodating. We wanted some religion and spirituality without it being a full religious ceremony and he helped customize everything to our liking. He has a lot of experience with weddings which made the rehearsal, filing the paperwork, and the ceremony go so smoothly. He was very well spoken and made the ceremony feel “official” and still personalized. We highly recommend Matt as an officiant to anyone considering hiring someone for their wedding!

Matthew was wonderful to work with. He was very responsive to emails and sent the entire script beforehand so we could review and send any edits. During the ceremony, he did an amazing job and incorporated details about our relationship that made it personal. We were told by guests it was the best ceremony they had attended. We would highly recommend working with him for your wedding!

Wonderful Officiant!
Matthew was our officiant for our October wedding and he did a beautiful job. We received so many compliments from guests regarding the readings he chose and the pieces of my husband and I that he included in the ceremony. We loved having Matthew officiate our wedding. From the very beginning, he made things run smoothly and helped us to feel confident that our wedding ceremony would be everything we wanted. Fantastic Ceremony to begin a beautiful day
Matthew came into our wedding with only a few weeks till our big day and you would have never known. The ceremony was so well done and thought out, anything my wife and I forgot to ask or bring up Matthew was there with an idea and answer to help us. Including on our day of. During the ceremony the detail in the way he spoke made us and our guest feel so special. Matthew went above and beyond any expectations we had of an officiant.

Stellar Officiant!
Matt was our officiant for our 8/12 Thacher Park ceremony. He was/is absolutely wonderful! We hired him several months in advance and from the beginning, he made sure we were well-informed of the ceremony and officiant process as well as how to obtain our marriage license in NYS. We worked very closely with him to develop our ceremony script and tailor it to ensure that it tells my and my husband's story. He had several options for the readings, unity ceremony, and vows, which we so appreciated given that we did not want to write our own. Matt is such a great addition to our vendor team and we're so glad he was available to officiate our marriage! Thanks Matt!!

Matt was AMAZING!!! We found him on weddingwire, and met with him a year before our wedding. We ended up going with his best package, which included a custom ceremony and rehearsal. He sent us a ton of different ceremony options, readings, and vows to pick from. We wanted a non-religious ceremony, and he delivered! We sent him "our story" and he incorporated into the ceremony beautifully. The readings and vows were perfect. Before the wedding he sent us a copy of the ceremony for our approval, which was a really nice touch. He traveled to Hunter Mountain the day before and ran a rehearsal for us, and then did the ceremony for us the next day. He spoke so eloquently and professionally. Everyone said it was such a beautiful and romantic ceremony. It really highlighted the love we had for each other. Afterwards he did all the paperwork for us, and even sent us the tracking number when he mailed the marriage license. Thank you so much Matt for being an incredible officiant, and for creating the most beautiful and loving ceremony i've ever heard.

We are so lucky to have found Matthew through a friend of a friend.
We hired him back in 2019 and then 2020 hit. Our original wedding plans were always going to take place in 2021, but in November 2020 we canceled our venue and cut our list down to 28 (from 140). Matthew was understanding and flexible.
In March 2021 we had a family emergency and my husband and I were considering bumping up our wedding date. I reached out to Matthew to see what we could do and he was there for us every step of the way. We ended up getting married on our original date, but we wouldn't have been able to do it without him. He was extremely responsive to all of our questions.
Matthew has a fantastic tone and speaks from the heart. What he wrote for our vows brought our families to tears. We opted for a non-religious ceremony, but added a prayer to make our parents happy.
Don't look any further when trying to find an officiant. Matthew is your person!

We loved working with Matthew for our wedding. He was extremely responsive via all manners of communication from the very beginning. We met to talk about our ceremony on Facetime, and he tailored a service just for us. He sent us a draft within a week and we were pleased with how he incorporated all of the aspects we discussed and balanced them with the traditional vows and expectations of a wedding ceremony. Matthew also kept the ceremony short and simple, just how we wanted. He made our day extra special. He was also willing to help us return our marriage license to the state, and had filed the paperwork the next business day after our ceremony.
Overall, Matthew is kind, professional, efficient, and his services are affordable. The whole family was happy with our ceremony and Matthew made everything go so smoothly! We would highly recommend Matthew to anyone getting married in the Saratoga Springs area!

Just what we wanted!
Matthew officiated our wedding ceremony on October 10, and we were thrilled with how things went! From the very start, it was very easy to work with him. My husband and I live out of town, so we had an initial facetime meeting with Matthew, during which time he explained the process to us and then promptly emailed us the reading and vow options to choose from, along with other helpful info. Once we made our selections and provided an “our story” summary, Matthew turned it into a ceremony that flowed beautifully and seemed so personal, despite the somewhat impersonal process of finding a service provider online that we were only meeting for the first time! The time it took to get through the ceremony was also just right - no one was itching to get out of there, but nothing was rushed through either. After the wedding, many of our guests complimented us on the ceremony and made specific mention of Matthew. After the wedding, we received prompt follow up from Matthew with the confirmation of mailing, and we received our license shortly thereafter, no issues. Highly recommend working with Matthew if you are in need of an officiant who can make your ceremony extra special on your big day!

Great to work with
Matt was great to work with. He understood our vision for our ceremony and was very knowledgeable regarding the whole "getting married" process in NYS. Matt was easy to communicate with, has a great speaking voice, and helped everyone involved in the ceremony feel at ease. We were very happy working with Matt and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant!

Incredibly satisfied
Matthew gave us the wedding we wanted. A very small and intimate ceremony. He worked with us when we kept changing dates and locations. Was in constant contact with us, and his price was very reasonable. I would recommend that when you look for someone to officiate your wedding, look no further than Matthew.

Absolute Perfection
Matt was an absolute dream. He made the process of organizing our ceremony so easy. When he sent me the ceremony draft I broke out into tears, it was so beautiful. We have gotten endless comments since the wedding that Matt provided the best wedding ceremony anyone has seen. Thanks so much Matt for making this very special event so perfect!

Kind and caring officiant
We can't imagine our day without Matthew! He was very professional and organized from the beginning. Not only did he help personalize our ceremony, he also walked us through obtaining our marriage license from out of state. I felt comfortable knowing that he knew the ropes! His ceremony was lovely, we still have guests commenting on how personal and beautiful it was. We are so happy we had Matthew there!

Amazing! Personalized and Perfect
Matthew was an amazing officiant to work with. We went with pretty standard readings and vows, but Matthew made sure it was personalized with our love story. Our families are still talking about how perfect our ceremony was! Matthew has a great speaking voice and I would highly recommend everyone to pick him as their officiant!

Great officiant
Matthew is an excellent officiant overall. He customizes ceremonies to meet a wide variety of couples, and the one he crafted for us was spectacular. He also provides guidance on how to write your own vows. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the location of the wedding changed due to COVID-19, and he gladly came to the new location despite it being a couple hours away from where he lives. He provides his high-quality services at excellent value.

Wonderful!
Matthew was our officiant on 9/12/20 for our backyard wedding after our original plans fell through due to Covid! He was super flexible & accommodating, incredibly professional, & we had so many of our guests tell us our ceremony was one of the best, if not the best that they have ever attended! Matt took care of everything for us from letting us choose our readings to handling the marriage license and sending it out for us after the ceremony. We highly recommend! Would not have wanted anyone else!! Thanks Matthew

5 Star Officiant - MarryUMatt!
Matt was everything and more that we could ask for as our officiant. He was super responsive and made it so easy for us to work with him! He allowed us to choose the type of ceremony we wanted and catered to all of our requests. He was very professional at all times and is a wonderful orator. He made the process of "legalizing" the marriage super easy with step by step instructions for us. He also gave us great tips for writing our own vows which came in handy beautifully. Overall, our ceremony with Matt was everything we dreamed of and we can't recommend him enough to other couples! Thank you so much Matt for making our special day come true!

Matthew is absolutely incredible and I can’t imagine anyone else officiating our wedding. He was always available throughout the entire planning process and answered any questions I had. Helped us create a heartfelt ceremony!
Matthew from start to finish was excellent! We knew we wanted to hire him after our first meeting with him as he had such a calming and inspiring presence. He provided us with many ideas for our ceremony and that really helped us create an inclusive, heartfelt and emotional ceremony that everyone raved about. He is very creative and used some of our personal stories in our ceremony. One thing we really appreciated about Matthew was that he was very responsive and accommodated all of our requests promptly. Matthew even attended our late rehearsal the night before and made sure to follow up with us a day after our wedding to let us know he took care of our marriage license promptly. We are so appreciative of his services and would highly recommend him to everyone!

We cannot thank Matt enough for his part in our big day! From the minute we met him he was exactly what we were looking for! Professional, super organized, prompt to respond to any email or questions, dressed professional for the ceremony, fun to talk to and very reasonably priced for great service he will give you! We highly recommend Matt, he gave us many options for our readings, and what was to be said at our ceremony. We received so many compliments during the wedding about what a beautiful, light and fun ceremony we had! The Monday after our wedding our paperwork was submitted and we had our marriage certificate when we came back from our honeymoon! Again I couldn’t be happier we chose Matt, and we HIGHLY recommend!! Perfect Custom Ceremony
We found Matt on wedding wire and decided to utilize his services for our wedding. We couldn't have made a better choice! He was so easy to work with and helped us customize our ceremony just how we wanted it. SO many of our guests raved about how well spoken Matt was and how personal the ceremony felt. As a bonus, his costs are very reasonable! If you are looking for someone who will look and sound professional and personal for your wedding ceremony, I would absolutely recommend Matthew Psichoulas!

A great officiant makes for a great ceremony!
Matt impressed us immediately with his well organized approach to building a ceremony for us. He was very responsive during the draft process and quickly answered our questions and made edits. The "flowers for mom" was an especially great suggestion. On the day of the ceremony he did a great job and everything turned out beautiful.
