Amazing Wedding Photos and Experience

I can’t say enough good things about Matthew Foster Photography! Our wedding photos are amazing, better than we could have even imagined!! Matthew and Liz were a joy to work with. They made us feel relaxed, and we especially loved the candid photos they took! They captured the essence of the day with their photos! Their photography style is so unique and truly magazine quality. Matthew has a keen eye for the right lighting at the right time. He also has expertise with setting sunlight and he uses that natural light to amplify and catch tender moments with stunning imagery. Matthew and Liz move about without being noticed and position themselves for action shots that reflect the evening's fun and festivities. Thank you so much for being the BEST vendor we hired

We had the most incredible experience with Matthew and Liz for our wedding. They somehow were able to make us all look like movie stars while still capturing real moments and genuine emotions. Hiring different vendors for a wedding can be daunting, but I can assure you that if you book with this photography team, you will have one piece of your wedding anxiety lifted. They were quick to respond to me throughout the year leading up to our wedding and helped us feel relaxed/comfortable/& excited throughout the day despite never meeting them in person prior (due to our wedding being a destination wedding); they were absolutely worth every penny. The turnaround time for the photos also was so quick (which was great because I am extremely impatient and nit-picky)!
Per Matt’s expertise suggestion (due to the early ceremony time), we had both Matt and Liz for the morning, ceremony, and portrait sessions and then just Matt for the reception and second line. Despite being one less a photographer for the second half of the wedding day we still got amazing photos. The reception images allowed me to see the parts of the party I missed and our guests at the reception kept saying “your photographer seemed to be everywhere at once!”. If you want your photos to not only be beautiful pieces of art work but also spark memories and emotion, look no further. They are a professional, friendly, experienced, and extremely competent team—you should certainly hire them.

Definitely recommend!!!

I just used them for my wedding in December and I am so happy my wedding planner suggested them. I really liked his work I saw on social media so I went with them and i'm so glad i did. I also had Matt do our engagement photos which were amazing! I have a million great photos from the wedding it's so hard to pick out my favorites! He has such an artistic eye and you will not be disappointed !

Photography superhero! Wow, amazing, incredible, professional and fun!

Absolutely in awe of the photos Matt took! We came to Matt because we had an awful experience with our wedding photographer and no good photos from the actual wedding day. For our 1 year anniversary we traveled back to NOLA to re-take our wedding photos and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Matt is so easy going and makes you feel so comfortable. He directs your poses in the best way and gives you the confidence of a super model! He recreated an experience we thought we had lost out on and my husband and I couldn't be more grateful! I would hire Matt again for anything but especially a wedding! 10 Stars for sure!!!

Phenomenal hands down

Duff/Dolan Wedding: Matt and Liz did absolutely phenomenally on our destination wedding in New Orleans which ended up falling on Sugar Bowl weekend. They were so attentive and fit in so naturally with our group. It was a perfect fit for our occasion. We genuinely had so much fun with them as people and individuals, not just photographers. They felt like part of the gang. Would love to work with them again if I had the opportunity. Can’t recommend them enough!

The best wedding photographers!

Matt and Liz were fantastic. You will definitely get your money's worth!! Matt and Liz shot our wedding a few weeks ago and not only were they super fun the whole day, but we got our pictures back only 3 weeks later. They shot and edited over 1300 pictures. The portraits look like art work and like they belong in a bridal magazine. The reception photos are fun and hilarious and truly capture the essence of the day. Would recommend over and over!

Amazing!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Matthew!! We met Matthew almost 2 years ago. With COVID our wedding was canceled twice but this past April it finally happened. Throughout all that time Matthew stayed in touch and was committed to our date. He was so easy going and flexible which made my life a little less stressful. We had a small destination wedding in NOLA and wanted our pictures to be more spontaneous and non-traditional. Matthew did an amazing job of capturing the essence of our wedding, the special bond we had to each of our guest and all without us even remembering he was in the room LOL We just got our pictures a few days ago, reviewing them brought my husband and I too tears at how amazing they were. Thank you Matthew for sticking with us all this time and for making our magical evening one we will be able to look back on and remember for forever!!

Look no further- Matt and Liz are the best!

Matt and Liz did a FANTASTIC job photographing our wedding. Literally could not have been better.

I would hire them again without hesitation-- here's why you should, too:

- They were just lovely, warm people and brought the kind of energy you want on your wedding day. Liz even helped the groom get his boutonnière on straight.
- They were able to wrangle my family and get the shots we needed quickly and efficiently while maintaining a relaxed, upbeat environment. (And that was challenging! Several family members were REAL late for group portraits and we had to get them done quickly because guests were arriving!)
- I wanted beautiful formal portraits, but I also wanted tons of candids of our guests-- I wanted to see the wedding through their eyes and really remember what it felt like to be there. Matt and Liz absolutely share that vision. They gave me about 1500 images, hundreds of which are of our guests dancing and visiting and laughing and... seriously. It took my husband and me hours to get through them all the first time because we had such a good time reliving everything.
- Matt and Liz are talented artists. They know how to work with the light and gave us a wide array of beautiful, nuanced, interesting portraits. We had the classics, but we also had some really neat, magazine editorial-style shots as well. As I was making our wedding album I really appreciated having so many different options to choose from.

In short, Matt and Liz were everything I had hoped they would be-- they are professional, wonderful people to work with on such an important day. They were easy to communicate with, got our photos back to us super fast, and turned out images I am absolutely thrilled to share with others.

Can flexibility be higher than 5 stars? So glad we chose Matt!

What can I say about Matt and Liz? If you're looking for a wedding photographer team with experience, a fun and chill vibe, who can roll with everything with ease and a smile, look no further. We postponed our wedding celebration and made changes twice due to COVID and Matt was so gracious and easy to work with. When the day finally came, Matt and Liz captured hours worth of shots. We didn't have a videographer, so a wide range of photos were very important to us. Matt and Liz caught amazing detail shots, posed family portraits and two hours worth of fun with our friends at Jam Nola (where the entire point is taking photos) all before the reception and second line. We have thousands of memories thanks to this team. And when my mother-in-law needed some extra retouching done, they turned it around that same day. All in all, Matt and Liz are Incredibly easy to work with, super willing to go above and beyond, and just fun people to have around on your wedding day!

For starters, I received the most glowing review I have ever heard from a friend describing Matthew before we booked, and boy was it spot on. His work is absolutely impeccable. Our engagement and wedding photos are truly some of the most beautiful photos I have seen. They exceeded my wildest (and high) expectations. Best Photographer in NOLA

Planning: Go check out their portfolio on their website and Instagram - after I did, I became their biggest fan! It was so incredible to work with someone who makes such beautiful art and who truly loves doing it. It was their work that initially convinced me to reach out to them, but it was Matt’s personality that made us say “yes” without hesitation. This was one of a few decisions about our wedding vendors I made without consulting my fiancé - I just told him that I found our photographer and he’s perfect. His personality is calming, enthusiastic, professional, personable, and passionate that is contagious! He was very responsive throughout the planning process. ///////// Wedding day experience: Matt arrived to the suite where my bridal party was getting ready and he instantly fit right in. He went right to work as if he was excited to start shooting! He was so patient with me and my bridal party and fit right in with our antics (we taught him a new swear word or two - oops!). It was amazing to watch him work his artistry in real time. He knew the exact shot he wanted and how to communicate efficiently to our bridal party and family. To our wedding party, Matt quickly and affectionately became “the one with the eyes” (when you meet him, you’ll know what we mean). He and Liz have such an amazing rapport; their thoughts seem to flow seamlessly between each others brains, which made for an efficient photographing experience. While it was clear they had a plan for pre-ceremony portraits, last-minute we had to change plans (due to a lost room key), so we went rogue and took it to the streets! It seemed like they were in their element regardless of the situation (planned or spontaneous), and we were so lucky to benefit from their flexibility. ///////// I’m writing this review based on my experience working with Matt 3 days ago, even before seeing our wedding day photos, but as stated in the first sentences, I have no doubt that they will be incredible. Matt and Liz are rock stars!!

Matthew Foster and Liz King photographed our September 2021 wedding at The Chicory in New Orleans and we would definitely recommend them!

After looking through Matt's website and seeing some great examples of his previous work we decided to reach out and set up a phone call to discuss our wedding. It was very easy to speak with Matt and he immediately understood what we were looking for. We wanted a photographer who had experience working at our venue and who had a cool photojournalism style. We wanted our pictures to look natural and candid, but still professional and creative. Matt and Liz gave us exactly what we were looking for.

Due to COVID we had to push back our wedding almost a year. Matt was very easy to work with and helped us to reschedule for our new date. All communication with Matt was very easy. He reached out to us well in advance of our wedding day and answered all of our questions completely.

On the day of our wedding we could not have had a better experience working with Matt and Liz! They both showed up on time and were extremely professional throughout the entire day. At the same time they helped us to stay relaxed and made sure that we were having fun. We're not used to having pictures taken of us or being the center of attention, but Matt and Liz made us feel so comfortable -- almost like we were hanging out with friends. Liz was even able to help the guys make sure their boutonnieres were pinned correctly which was a huge bonus -- I really don't know if the guys would have been able to do it without her! Also, they were so nice working with our family and friends to capture all of the portraits that we wanted. During the ceremony and reception they were able to capture so many great moments while not being too intrusive or getting in the way of anything.

Matt and Liz delivered the pictures to us less than 3 weeks after the wedding. We were absolutely delighted with the pictures we received. Over 1,200 pictures which captured so many of our favorite moments throughout the day and night. We could not be happier with the whole experience of working with Matt and Liz.

If you value photography and want someone who is a master of their craft and a true professional all-round, look no further.

Amazing people, fantastic photographers!

I hired Matt and Liz to photograph my wedding in February 2021, and they were absolutely wonderful! They not only shot edited and returned to me over 1400 amazing pictures (including a list of every shot I had requested) but they also took so many great candid photos that really captured moments I never would have seen otherwise. They were also a huge support and voices of reason throughout the day. They helped make sure all of us stuck to the schedule, Matt was wonderful in helping me keep calm and making me laugh through some of the stressful moments of the wedding morning. Liz was amazing with my husband, the groomsmen, fathers and especially my 4 year old nephew! When the guys didn't know how to pin their boutineers on Liz stepped up immediately to help them and make sure everything was perfect. They were incredibly professional and they returned the edited digital copies of the pictures in just around two weeks! I highly recommend anyone getting married in the greater New Orleans area hire them for your wedding!

Hire Matt and Liz!

Where to even start... there are about 1500 reasons to hire Matt and Liz in our wedding gallery but here are a few more! Matt is the kind of guy you’d invite to your wedding just because he’s super cool. Our guests and vendors loved working with he and Liz just as much as we did! Of course they managed to capture every possible shot and memory through the day, they even captured the ones we missed. Even though they were seemingly with Heather and I all day, they managed to get some amazing shots of our friends and family that are absolutely frame worthy. Of course they were easy to work and communicate with, and super fast to get us some sneak peaks as always. But what sets them apart is their obvious love for what they do and their ability to just blend into the crowd and capture the best candid shots. They took the time to find the perfect places for our family portraits and first look and made sure we got all of those wedding must have shots that the brides are too crazy to think of! Choosing Matt and Liz to capture your wedding will take one less stressful item off of your to do list, and isn’t that what every brides needs on their wedding day?! Everything I hoped for

We initially chose Matt and Liz as our photographers because I loved their wedding portfolio. It was like I could FEEL the excitement and the fun that the couples and the wedding guests were having just by looking at the pictures. Their ability to capture those candid, special moments, through the crowd of wedding guests, of just the couple was exactly what I wanted. On the day of our wedding, Matt and Liz arrived and honestly brought the calmest energy. Neither my husband nor I are huge picture people, we didn’t do engagement pictures or bridal portraits or anything like that because it just isn’t us. But, Matt and Liz made everything so natural and easy, it didn’t feel awkward or staged, and it allowed my husband and I to be ourselves and enjoy the moment. The pictures we have from our wedding are beyond-words beautiful (I never thought I was photogenic until I saw these pictures), you can see and FEEL the happiness and love! Every time I look at them I smile because it brings me back to the best day of my life and I am so thankful Matt and Liz were able to capture it exactly how I remember

We hired Matthew Foster Photography based on his fantastic portfolio for our destination wedding in New Orleans. Our communication leading up to the wedding was punctual, friendly, and professional. He answered all of my questions no matter how silly, and he took the time to ask questions about our wedding to get a good feel for us as a couple to better capture the day. The day of the wedding he was right on time and got down to business! I was totally running late and he kept his cool, which kept my cool, and he was able to get us to our first look and back with time to spare before the ceremony. When I got our photos back (quickly, I might add!) I was amazed and so so happy! He totally captured "us" and got some really beautiful portraits and photos of our closest friends and family as well, we definitely made the right choice hiring Matthew Foster Photography for our wedding and I totally recommend you do the same.

The Best!!

I cannot say enough about Matt and Liz! When I began looking for a wedding photographer, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful and unique style of their photography. I had seen nothing like it! When the big day came, I was stressed as one can imagine. Matt was so calm and put all of my nerves at ease, making me feel comfortable in front of the camera. And, Liz worked magic getting my dad to smile and relax, which is no easy task! When the time came to view my wedding images, I was blown away! The photos are stunning! Fantastic!

Absolutely loved working with Matt and Liz! I first found out about them when I was in one of my best friend's weddings. Matt was great with the bridesmaids, and I loved the creative shots he came up with. When the full gallery was posted, their work was stunning, so when it came time to choose a photographer for my own wedding a couple years later, my decision was already made. Matt and Liz captured so many special moments - a great mix of traditional and artistic shots and plenty of fun party pics of our guests. Matt was even able to get my 2.5-year-old nephew to smile and look at the camera for a family portrait. Matt and Liz are kind, friendly, professional, laid back, and of course, very talented. Matt and Liz are the best!

Matt and Liz were absolutely amazing to work with. You can't go wrong by getting them to capture your day! I planned our wedding from another state and Matt was great about vendor recommendations, suggestions for locations of different shots, etc. And Liz was such a good sport about my crazy cajun family needing a myriad of large, family group shots at the reception. Our photos were absolutely amazing and we can't wait to use them for our Christmas card this year and give them to our family for gifts since they are all so great! I would definitely recommend Matt for their great service but also how easygoing and positive they were all day, especially with shots outside, in the middle of the day, in June, in NOLA :) !

Amazing Team and Beautiful Photos

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Matt and Liz are AMAZING!!! I cannot tell you how many times we heard and we are still hearing how awesome our photographers were. As the bride, I can say that Matt took the time to calm me when we saw dark clouds approaching, made me giggle to bring out my natural smile, and made me completely comfortable with him throughout all of our photo shoots. And Liz...what a sweetheart and a perfect teammate. The two together were magic. Even before seeing the pictures we knew we wouldn't be disappointed...and were definitely weren't. They somehow captured so many special moments that brought back up the emotions we felt that day. I don’t even know how to explain how floored I was when I received my wedding photos! I didn’t even know wedding photos could be that amazing outside a magazine!!! All of our friends and family were just as impressed. We got call after call and text after text saying OMG your wedding photos were phenomenal!!! The truth is that word... I was beyond impressed with Matt and Liz! We had a large and chaotic wedding with lots of family with lots of requests for photos and this team truly delivered! The photos were great AND I am a curvy bride and I liked every photo! Matt did a great job with the angles and ladies we all know this is super important! I was also very happy with how he incorporated my dog into the photos which meant so much to me! Matt & Liz are an amazing team that don't just take pictures of your wedding, they capture moments that you missed while you were living them. Like most couples, our wedding day felt like it went at lightning speed. But getting the photos from Liz and Matt, we got to linger over all the parts of our special day that we only got 30 seconds to experience in real-time. And I'm notoriously difficult to get a good picture out of because I get nervous and I make weird faces. They had excellent tricks to help us (me) relax and they maxed out the photo value of our venue (Audubon Tea Room's garden, fog setting in over the mossy trees, that kind of thing). When I first emailed them, I think they got back to me in a few hours! Which was great because I had left photography to the last minute. Note to brides: don't do that! But we got lucky :) They were extremely accommodating and flexible on how much we shot and when, and my husband and I both felt their prices were extremely reasonable. We were planning from NYC and hammered out a lot of our details last-minute, but M/L made it easy and were perfectly in place on the day-of. You can't go wrong!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Matt and Liz. They are extremely talented individuals who were such a pleasure to work with. We were amazed at the amount of candid moments they were able to capture so beautifully. Can't recommend highly enough! Matt and Liz were very responsive leading up the wedding, and offered a great balance of asking what i wanted, and giving their professional opinion as wedding experts. Ahead of the wedding we discussed when and where to do the first look and to take formal pictures, and they went ahead of scoped out the venue ahead of time, so they could be prepared with ideas and recommendations. They both were on-time/early the day-of, and helped coordinate some of the factors I hadn't even thought of (i.e. how to not see each other before the first look, etc.). They both were extremely easy to work with, and were friendly and not overwhelmed, which is exactly what you need on the day of your wedding.
I received the pictures very timely, and loved them all. And they are a great value for the services provided!

I truly can't articulate how amazing the whole experience with Matt and Liz was. They came highly recommended from our vendor and upon first look at their website, it was easy to see why.

Throughout the planning process, they were kind and patient and super responsive to any questions we had. In the weeks before our wedding, Matt was quick to answer all emails. The day of could not have gone more perfectly, and Matt's calm attitude and kind manner had so much to do with that. He seamlessly arrived to a gaggle of girls getting hair and makeup done, and got right to snapping pictures.

The first look was perfectly arranged and we almost forgot Matt was even there. Our pictures through the French Quarter are magical, the ceremony photos are beautiful and the reception and second-line photographs perfectly capture the fun that everyone was having.

The pictures are amazing and we're delivered to us within 3 weeks of the wedding! Our guests are raving about them and my husband & I can't stop looking at them. They're amazing. Do not hesitate, Matt and Liz are the perfect addition to your day and will do such an amazing job capturing every moment.

One of my best decisions during wedding planning was booking Matt and Liz. Leading up to the wedding, Matt always took the time to answer my random questions and helped me stay on track. Your wedding day is something every little girl dreams of, and I was no exception. If someone would have told me twenty years ago that I would be planning a New Orleans wedding from California, I would have laughed. The joke was on me. I booked Matt and Liz based solely on reviews like this and by stalking their social media accounts and I. Could. Not. Be. Happier. Where do I start with these two? I arrived in New Orleans a week before the wedding and knew I wanted to at least meet the person who would be capturing the most important day of my life. Matt went out of his way to meet me for coffee and discuss the day of details. He asked the right questions and reassured me that everything would be great. He arrived on the wedding day, looking quite spiffy if I may say so, and made everyone feel comfortable. Liz captured the groom and groomsmen perfectly, both their serious and comical sides. My husband even mentioned that she was like a fly on the wall, there when she wanted to capture a shot, but also let them do their thing. Above all, what I appreciated the most was that Matt and Liz are a team. It is obvious that they are a ying and yang, which meant that even though I had two photographers, I could not tell you who took which photo because they were all wonderful. I will cherish these pictures and memories forever. I highly recommend these fabulous people and cannot thank them enough!

They are very experienced, which means your photos won't take forever. They meet w you to make sure to get a list of all the photos you specifically want taken. They are also extremely creative, which leads to some beautiful photos.

Stop what you're doing instantly and book Matt and Liz for your wedding. The reviews are all true. They are the B-E-S-T. We first met Matt during our engagement shoot, for which he came to our home, and we instantly knew we had made the right decision. Matt put both my husband and I at complete ease, as this was our first professional photography session. He is funny, kind, engaging, and unbelievably talented. Our bazillion engagement pictures came out better than we could have imagined and still remain to be some of our favorite photos to date. For our wedding day? Where do I get started? Matt and Liz are truly an amazing team. Matt, again, blended well with the girls getting ready, rarely stopping our progress and hardly making his presence known. Liz was kind enough to stay with my husband, tie his tie, and talk him through the most nerve wracking day of his life :) We hardly remember seeing them throughout the ceremony or the reception - but with nearly 1000 images from our ceremony and reception, they were definitely plugged in and ON IT. As Matt tucked us into our limo at the end of the night, we were pretty sad that we wouldn't be spending any more time with them anytime soon :(

I'm not totally sure how to put into words how absolutely wonderful Matt and Liz are, but seriously, my husband and I could not have asked for a better experience. Oh, where to begin with Matthew Foster Photography? Words cannot describe how absolutely fantastic he and Liz are! We actually had the pleasure of working with Matt prior to the wedding because he also did our engagement photos. He photographed us around the french quarter and the Superdome. Our black and white photos felt so old New Orleans and vintage and our color photos brought our special day to life again. Another plus (if even needed).. He has your photos edited and released to you so quickly! He had ours done in less than two weeks! He and Liz are nothing short of fabulous. Matthew and Liz made our wedding day SO special! They were amazing to work with and really picked up on the small things that were special to my husband and I and went with them.... my groom jokingly said that we should grab a drink and Matt was like, "yes, go do that!". Our pictures walking in the French Quarter will be forever so so special to us and we have them to thank for capturing these moments in such an intimate, unique, artistic, and personally meaningful way. If you have not hired a photographer yet-book Matt now!!! I would recommended Matt and Liz, his assistant to anyone and everyone. Matt and Liz are very affable, charming and professional photographers. They made us, our family and friends feel very comfortable. Matt even helped the bridesmaids select their shoes at the last minute. The photos of our wedding are AMAZING and STUNNING. Everytime I look at them I feel like I am reliving our wedding day! They captured so many special moments that day and I don't even recall really seeing them at the reception (they blended in so well). Matt got our photos back so quickly we were still on our honeymoon. I was not surprised because Matt and Liz were very prompt and accomodating to all my correspondence and requests. Not only were the photographs wonderful, but they also created unique and stylish "save the dates" for us. My only regret is not being able to have a engagement or bridal session with Matt since I do not live in New Orleans. Matthew and Liz were everything we could have hoped for. Not only were our wedding photos perfect- they were a wonderful addition to our event. Our guests and wedding party absolutely loved them- they were the perfect mix of professional yet fun so everyone felt they could approach them if they wanted a picture. A story from our wedding day that capture their professionalism- Liz accidentally dropped and shattered a camera lens, Paul (the groom) and I happened to be right there when it happened. Although I am positive that was a heartbreaking and expensive mistake- Liz and Matthew did not let that affect our day. They smiled said oh well and kept Paul and I moving toward our next photo destination. Looking back I really thank them for that and it truly shows how invested they are to making your day perfect and all about you. They were flexible with what you we wanted through the planning process, during our wedding day and through making a beautiful album. I am beyond thrilled that I selected Matt & Liz as our wedding photographers. I work in the hospitality industry, and have worked with many photographers. They are by far the most responsive photographers I have ever dealt with. Matt accommodated all of my crazy requests, and the pictures were stunning. Looking through the photos was reliving the happiest day, they captured every happy candid moment...and I barely even noticed they were there! When we did our first look, Liz & Matt got the most amazing shots, but were so discrete it did not interrupt that special time between us. On top of that, they were a ton of fun to work with. I love this team!! Matthew and Liz did a fantastic job capturing our day! We actually ended up having fun with them and I think that really shows through in the pictures. We had two photographers for 8 hours on the day of and he did our engagement session, for which I think I threw him a curve ball when I showed up in a floor length sequin skirt but he ran with it and the pictures came out exactly how I wanted! He does bridal portraits too, but I skipped this part because it just wasn't that important to me. My only regret is that I wish we had him at the rehearsal dinner. I cannot recommend Matthew Foster Photography enough!!!

Matt (and Liz at the ceremony) photographed our wedding in New Orleans, and I could not be happier with their involvement. From the onset, Matt was professional and courteous, returned phone calls and emails, which was a huge help because I was planning the event from far away.

When I first started looking at the websites of photographers, I was disappointed how ugly a lot of websites are. Matt was a bit pricier than what I had intended to pay, but in the end, I decided to take the plunge and go with him because I really liked his style and his style of communicating with me.

On the day, both were friendly and patient and flexible, seamlessly handling non-traditional details like coming on the buses that were taking our guests to the Quarter for a Second Line.

The photos are amazing - the spirit of the day, the uniqueness of New Orleans, and the fun of having everyone in one place are all perfectly captured.

I highly recommend Matthew Foster Photography - it's worth having a good photographer to capture your once-in-a-lifetime day!

A family member recommend Matthew to us. We loved his photojournalistic style and artistic edge. It was very unique to the other photographers we previewed. He was very responsive to our questions and concerns, so that made planning via email a lot easier. When we met in person, he was very professional and helped guide us on what to expect for the wedding day. I was a very hands off bride and preferred to have Matt get creative with the shots. And we were extremely pleased with the results.
My only regret is that I wish we had planned a little more for the pre-wedding photography. We had a very small wedding party (1 BM & 1 MOH). So with not that many people getting ready, there was plenty of time for taking pictures. I do wish we had taken the time to plan a few of the pre-wedding pictures with the groom, groomsmen and his family.

I am a photographer in Las Vegas. Therefore, selecting a wedding photographer was a very difficult decision. I admit I have high standards in regard to composition, creativity and post-processing, as well as the option to have the images delivered in prints or digital images. When we found Matthew and Liz (his assistant), we found a gold mine. I could not have asked for a better team. My wife and I were thrilled beyond thrilled at our photos. Everyone loves them. The photos are as magical as our wedding was... in fact, we have enlarged the images into canvases and have them displayed as art all over our home. It helped that multiple friends recommended Matt, but this was such a significant decision for us that we interviewed several people. However in the first few minutes of meeting Matt we knew he was the one for us! We liked him personally (key if you plan to spend this important day together) and we loved his journalistic photographic style. During our wedding he and his partner Liz were fun, unobtrusive, and followed our few ‘must have’ photos and other instructions.

Our instinct and hopes all came true – Matt and Liz truly documented our day with care and captured such wonderful shots. The happiness of our friends and family shines through, and they are all raving about the photos. Another huge recommendation is that they deliver your photos so quickly! In a few weeks the jump drive with all our images arrived. We won’t ruin the surprise, but this package arrived in such a beautiful way that is above and beyond what I imagine most photographers do. They get the highest rating and beyond!

Matthew was our photographer for our May 2014 wedding. We had looked at several different photographers before deciding that Matthew was our guy. We were impressed with his previous work and his style, and he was very personable and answered all of our questions. The day of the wedding was well handled. Even the posed pictures were pretty painless. The pictures of the ceremony and reception turned out fantastic. He was able to capture some of our more memorable unplanned moments like when we couldn't light our unity candle on the breezy day. His turn around was super fast considering the amount of post work he does on the pictures. In the end, We were extremely satisfied with the results and highly recommend Matthew for any photography work you need.

I simply cannot say enough about Matt & Liz. I (the groom) planned our entire wedding and to say I was nervous would be an understatement. Immediately they put me at ease and honestly they almost fulfilled the role of a Wedding Planner! They answered so many questions and calmed my nerves on things that fall far outside of the realm of photography. Planning everything was simple and from the prep pictures to the bridal party pictures to the ceremony to the reception - they were professional, funny, unobtrusive, and kind. Having them at our wedding actually ADDED to the experience, which was directly the opposite of what you would expect. And then it got better when we got our pictures back - my mind was absolutely blown. I will admit that I was not thrilled when I realized I was going to spend more than I had budgeted for a photographer, but my wife convinced me to go with them. I have never said "you were right" with any more conviction. The images we have to go along with the sure-to-fade memories of this day are priceless. When I go back through the pictures I can feel the energy and the emotion because they captured everything in such a natural way. I have run a business for quite a long time and worked with many many different vendors and small businesses and you will seldom hear me offer a recommendation or review without ANY blemishes - but this is one of them. I have nothing but love and praise for Matt & Liz and if you are reading this I have one piece of advice - book them book them book them!!

I met two other photographers before meeting with Matt to discuss photography for my wedding day. After looking at over 20 photographers in the New Orleans area through interviews, websites and phone calls, we chose MATT FOSTER PHOTOGRAPHY. IT WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST DECISION WE MADE IN THE ENTIRE WEDDING PLANNING!! Matt Foster is an artist. He captures the passion of the wedding moments, as well as the quiet, intimate ones. It was if he is looking through the eyes of a long time family member, seeing all the relationships, family fun and unforgettable glimses of the wedding day. MATT AND LIZ WERE AMAZING, with over 300 people at our wedding reception, I don't know how they did it, but they got every possible shot we would have hoped for and more! Anytime I needed a picture taken, I looked up, and there they were, like personal attendants, yet VERY unintrusive. One of the best decisions that we made for our wedding was hiring Matthew Foster Photography to shoot our wedding and engagement pictures. I cannot say enough good things about Matt or his assistant, but I'll try to pick out the highlights. Throughout the whole process, he was friendly, flexible, and quick to respond to our emails and calls. I was able to tell him the "vision" that I had for our photographs and he was able to think of the perfect place to achieve the look we wanted. He made us feel comfortable and devoted time to get the images just perfect. Instead of saying, "you're out of time," he kept saying "there is one more place over here I want to try." And, as the typical bride-to-be who was dying to get those images back A.S.A.P., I was beyond thrilled with Matt's quick turnaround time. Our experience with Matt was even better on our wedding day. He was so flexible in the planning process, and we must have emailed a dozen times to figure out the schedule for the images I wanted. I cannot imagine another photographer being so committed to making it work. He interacted seamlessly with my coordinator and the other vendors. He shot beautiful images of all the bridesmaids and groomsmen, all of whom complimented him on making them comfortable and being one of the best photographers they've worked with. He was a stress-free part of my day. I knew the pictures would be good, but they exceeded my expectations. He produced hundreds of images that captured not only our day, but also our personalities perfectly. Matt took the photos for both my bridal portraits and wedding photos. Not only were the photos amazing, but him and Liz are so easy to work with it. I had friends from out of town getting married who were wishing that they could fly him to their own weddings because they were SO impressed with him. He was by far one of the best parts of our wedding experience and we are so lucky to have such incredible photos documenting the best night of our lives!

I absolutely cannot say ENOUGH wonderful things about Matt and Liz. They are so much fun to hang out with on what could otherwise be a stressful day. In fact, I warn my friends who use Matt that they will suffer from Matt withdrawals after the bridals, engagement and wedding picture sessions are all done. He is completely laidback but very professional, and once in a while, let him take a risk that you might not understand. I promise the reward will be worthwhile!!

And don't even get me started on the stellar quality of his work. I look at my wedding pictures every single day and never get tired of the beautiful shots that Matt and Liz captured. Someone once told me that Matt "captures moments, he doesn't create them" and I think that is the best way to explain it. I think they are easily the best photographers in the area and would (and do!) highly recommend them to everyone I know.

Matt is the BEST wedding photographer. He is absolutely attentive to everything you want, and you barely see him once everything gets going, and yet you end up with hundreds of great photos-- which I believe is the true sign of an amazing photographer. He doesn't just take pictures-- he captures moments-- and that's why he's so phenomenal.

Weddings are insanely expensive, but this is one category I would not skimp on. Absolutely worth it.

Upon our first meeting with Matt, I knew that he was THE photographer for us. He is very professional and personable - he always responded to my inquiries promptly. It's important to have a photographer that you enjoy working with because you spend so much time with them on your wedding day. Matt's easygoing attitude made me feel relaxed. He is incredibly hard-working; he moved furniture around in the lobby of the hotel to get creative shots! He listened to what pictures I wanted and made sure that he got them. He's got an incredible eye and takes gorgeous photographs. He got a shot of almost every guest and so many special moments of our wedding day. The best part is getting the pictures back from him - he prints EVERY SINGLE photograph and sends them to you beautifully wrapped. He was by far my favorite vendor. I HIGHLY recommend him!
