Pre Marital Coaching and Ceremony Officiant
WOW! Where to begin. Matt worked with my husband and I through marriage coaching and then officiated our wedding in September 2024. He also did the same for my older sister and brother in law. He has truly become like family to all of us and we cannot be more grateful for the role he has played in such an important time period of our lives. Through Matt's coaching, my husband and I were able to have honest, uncomfortable and hard conversations about our future together. Matt was able to help us navigate through these sessions professionally, lovingly and pragmatically so that we were able to become closer as a couple because of it. At our wedding ceremony, Matt told our "how we met," story in front of our family and friends in a way that felt like he was there along with us on our journey the entire time. He was able to accomodate our religious preferences and tailor our ceremony perfectly to our personalities. Matt is THE BEST and we truly could not recommend him more!!! -

My wife and I found Matt online based on his outstanding reviews. Neither of us are super religious, but still wanted premarital counseling and to build a relationship with someone prior to our ceremony. Matt brought a warm, comfortable and professional manner from our initial phone interaction to our 8-9 in person sessions. His premarital counseling program was crucial in the development of me and my now wife’s relationship prior to our wedding. In our sessions he helped us navigate topics like religion, finances, kids, in-laws and sex. This helped me not only learn and understand about my future wife point of view but also more about myself. His videos and workbook that come with his program was an added bonus!
On our wedding day our guest could not say enough good things about Matt. The way he memorized our story and was not up there with an iPad or book was impressive! It lets you know that he truly does care and does his homework as much as we did in his program. I can not recommend Matt’s premarital services enough!

The best investment for our marriage, and wedding!
After we got engaged, my fiance and I discussed how we wanted a wedding officiant who was someone we knew personally, and who knew our journey as a couple. Neither one of us are very religious so we went looking, and truly the greatest part of our wedding and marriage preparation was Matt Morgan. His reviews say it all which is what led us to reach out -- Matt is extremely kind, understanding, witty, wise, easy to be around, responsive, relatable, and SO talented at what he does. My now husband and I had never done any form of couples counseling or coaching so we weren't entirely sure what to expect, but Matt makes it so approachable and enjoyable. Every session we left with just incredible feedback about how Matt helped us communicate our needs and expectations to each other far better than we could on our own. Matt's work is very organized but it is also flexible for what you and your partner want to focus on. We highly recommend the full coaching package with all the sessions and the videos/coaching tools that I am so thankful we will always have. It was worth every hour and dollar spent by far. Matt was able to connect with my husband and I so easily and does an amazing job of meeting you where you are, and challgning you to be the best version of yourself and importantly the best partner for your spouse. He helps marriage feel like an adventure rather than daunting, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Not to mention, by the time we had finished all of our sessions with Matt and did his ceremony planning, it was like he knew our story better than we did. Our ceremony was joyous, intentional, funny, heart-felt, and perfect to how we pictured it. Matt truly made our wedding day so seamless and meaningful and it was so easy to fully trust the process. Our family and friends couldn't believe we had only really known him for a year. My husband and I hope to remain friends and clients of Matt for the rest of our lives! I didn't see the need for a great officiant until I saw how a bad officiant could ruin a ceremony - Matt is the best in this regard. It is evident that he has been doing this for many years, as he is an experienced orator with lots of charisma. His wedding 'coaching' was also very enjoyable for my wife and I, and we learned some useful lessons/communication tools that we still use many months later. -

Matt has been the biggest blessing to us! When considering a destination wedding, something that was very important to us was being married by someone that we respected, admired, and cared about. Not being married in our home town or church made that initially seem like a daunting task.
When we found Matt, all of the pieces fell into place. Matt is truly such a kind, easy-going, and fun person to work with. Our pre-marital coaching with him allowed us the opportunity to have conversations that we truly would not have had otherwise. Coming from two people who weren't entirely sure how we felt about pre-marital coaching, each month we would talk about how excited we were for our next meeting with Matt. He's honestly just an awesome guy. He uses fantastic (and well-researched) material to guide conversations, and is a genuine listener and communicator. He helped us plan and organize our ceremony while being totally open to our input and ideas. As stressful as it can be planning a wedding, our time with Matt always felt natural and easy.
The ceremony itself was amazing. Matt was personable, told great stories, and connected with our family members. Afterwards, we had countless compliments. "Matt was amazing! How do you know him? He did such a great job! Can you introduce me to Matt? I'd love to meet him! What a great ceremony!"
Looking back, having Matt lead our ceremony is something we are most pleased with. We both deeply admire him, trust him, and are so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him. If you are looking for someone to help you build your relationship and prepare for not only a ceremony but for MARRIAGE, we cannot recommend Matt. -

My husband and I have been doing marital counseling with Matt. He is so great! I was hesitant about premarital counseling, but it has been an amazing experience. Matt was an incredible officiant and we highly recommend him!! We're also doing eight of the coaching sessions with him. We only had time for one session before the wedding, but it was great and he gave us some helpful tools to work on our communication.
We had a quick video call the week of the wedding to chat about what we wanted for the ceremony, then he sent us a questionnaire to fill out info on our story. We sent it back to him and a few days later, during our wedding, he had crafted a perfect summary of our story that was sweet, funny, accurate and RECITED FROM MEMORY. We were shocked about that. We didn't think to ask because seeing as he didn't know us and only had a few days to prepare, we thought it was perfectly reasonable that he would show up with several pages or a small book to read from. But no, he told our story from memory, with no fumbles or pauses, plus perfect timing for the tasteful jokes that were included.
You might think all of the other reviews were exaggerating when they mentioned that relatives asked if Matt was a close friend of the couple, but they're not. Several people asked us that as well and were very surprised to hear that we had only met Matt through a video call or two before the ceremony.
Matt is an amazing, extremely professional officiant and we're really looking forward to continuing our counseling sessions with him as well. Highly recommend!! -

Emily & Grayson- Pre Marital Coaching and Officiant
Wow where do we even begin.. Matt has been a blessing to us in so many ways. In our pre-marital coaching sessions, he led the conversations flawlessly and guided us through methods of communication that we never knew we had. We always looked forward to meeting with Matt and he is very personable and a great life coach. He taught us so many things about eachother and about ourselves. We felt very comfortable being vulnerable and he created a safe place to tackle any conversation. On the wedding day, he was absolutely amazing as our officiant. You can tell he really knew us and that projected so effortlessly. We got so many complements on him too.. overall 10/10 all the way around! -

We loved having Keith as our officiant! I was nervous about finding an officiant but after our first phone call with Keith we knew we were in great hands. He is dependable, kind, and personable. He took the time to genuinely get to know us and learn our love story. Keith went above and beyond to make sure our ceremony went as smoothly as possible. He even made sure to make our rehearsal which required him to catch an earlier flight home to Denver from a work event. Needless to say, he is dedicated and willing to support you in any way he can. Matt was a fantastic officiant! It was important to us that our wedding ceremony be fun, captivating and memorable and Matt nailed it. Matt had asked us to answer a couple questions about how we met, how we fell in love, why we were getting married, etc to assist him in preparing our ceremony. Being procrastinators, we gave Matt our answers the morning of the wedding knowing it would be an amazing ceremony but not expecting Matt to have enough time to do much with our answers. Matt arrived at our venue 4 hours after receiving our email and recited the most heartfelt, fun and special wedding ceremony I've heard and managed to capture every crucial piece of our story from our write up, all from memory! So many people told us how much they enjoyed our ceremony and how Matt was a key piece to that. Couldn't recommend him enough!

I was so anxious about finding an officiant for our wedding. My husband and I wanted pre-marital counseling and to find an officiant who would work with our religion and personalities. After much research, we found Matt’s website and knew that we had to meet with him. From our first meeting, it was apparent to us that Matt fit our needs perfectly. Matt strived to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. My husband and I both came away from our 90 minute coaching sessions with new knowledge about each other and ourselves, which led to important conversations outside of our meetings with Matt. I love how Matt includes videos with many different lessons and advice, and that we have access to them forever. Matt is warm and friendly. Perfect Fit
Getting married in another state poses a whole lot of obstacles I don't think we were ready for. From finding vendors and trusting that they will show up without ever meeting them can add to all the stress that a wedding already brings.
We reached out to Matt shortly after we were engaged in May this year. He was originally available but we had a lot of second thoughts on the location, so we held off on booking him. When we reached back out a month before our wedding. (yes brides, you can imagine my stress at this moment).. he had told us that he was no longer available yet one of his colleagues was, Keith. We agreed to meet with the two of them on a phone call to get to know them and see if it would be a good fit.
After an hour phone call, my now husband and I hung up the phone thrilled that we had found the perfect guys to start our marriage. Keith scheduled a zoom call with us, spent time listening to our story and the things that make our relationship work - all so he could incorporate it into the wedding ceremony to make it ours. After the phone call he provided us sample vows, bible verses we could use as well as other quotes from history to represent what marriage/love is.
The day of the wedding Keith was early to our location and prepared for the day with notes. I felt extremely relaxed knowing that he had the day under control.
We had a minor hiccup where we forgot to have him sign our marriage license, however when we mailed it to him, he signed it and sent it on to the recording office for us right away!
I'd highly recommend Keith to anyone. He's honest and sincere, someone that you immediately connect and feel comfortable with. We can't thank him enough for making our day as special as it was. -

Working with Matt is an incredible experience from Day 1. It’s immediately clear how thoughtful every step is in his approach, and it only gets better the further you dive in. I would pay for his services 100 times over. It is well worth the investment as my wife and I now feel set up to take on our marriage as teammates for the rest of our lives.
He touches on Finances, Spirituality, Sex/Intimacy, Communication and so much more! His methods are very effective. I’ve been to a lot of therapists and coaches. He is the only one I’ve worked with where I felt the things he said were easy to digest AND implement. He challenges you both while respecting who you are. He never oversteps or makes you feel invalidated. He gives you both the space to express yourself. It’s not a one size fits all, and the sessions you have are flexible. Though there are subjects that he wants to cover, they are ultimately your sessions and you can cover whatever is priority at the moment. For the most part, we stuck to the planned agenda, but there were a couple of times where some matters came up and my wife and I needed to work through some pressing issues. He adapted with ease, and we didn’t feel like we lost any ground.
The best part is the tools he shares with us are available to us indefinitely. We can access them at anytime from anywhere, so nothing he teaches gets lost in translation or forgotten!
On wedding day, he is prepared and professional, making sure every base is covered and no stone is unturned.
Don’t overthink it. Matt is your guy! You’ll truly feel set up for a lifetime with him as your guide. -

Matt was a dream come true when it came to our wedding experience. The marriage bootcamp opened up conversation that we wouldn't have had on our own and allowed us to learn even more about each other which we didn't think was possible. Matt not only led us through an amazing pre-marital coaching experience, but he was also the BEST officiant at our wedding that we could have asked for. Over the coaching sessions, Matt becomes a friend. This review is almost a year and half overdue, yet my wife and I feel an even greater sense of gratitude and appreciation towards Matt and his role in our lives. Matt provided us with premarital coaching and officiated our wedding. It was evident in his interactions with us that he was sincerely invested in our personal growth, so much so that he would care to document and commit to memory some of the seemingly most mundane details of our lives that ended up being important contextual information for our growth as a couple. Matt Morgan was an amazing officiant! We were having a destination wedding in Colorado and had no idea who we could use to officiate our wedding. After much research and an amazing phone conversation, we knew right then and there that Matt was the person we wanted to officiate our marriage.
His energy, charisma, and fun personality made us feel so comfortable right from the beginning!
Although my then fiancé, now husband and I had been together for 10 years, we decided to move forward with premarital coaching and we are so happy we did! We thought that we had important conversations because well, we had been together for so long but there were conversations and topics that we didn’t even think of prior to working with Matt.
While living in Florida and “zooming” with Matt, we took online assessments to learn about ourselves as individuals and as a couple. Matt broke things down for us and guided important conversations.
We felt like our money was well spent! Not only did we get to learn about ourselves and each other but Matt got to learn about us! When officiating our wedding, it felt like our lifelong friend was up there talking about us. Our friends and family thought he was great! -

PHENOMENAL fun experience!
Matt's coaching process was AMAZING. I learned so much about myself and my partner through his 8 session coaching. It has helped us communicate better, understand our feelings and actions and be a stronger life partner for each other. We used to have the same fight all the time, but now that we understand WHY we always had that fight, it hasn't been an issue at all. We are stronger as a couple and our marriage has started off on the right foot because of Matt's coaching. This experience was, by far, the best money we spent on ANYTHING wedding/pre-marriage related. Matt did a great job officiating our wedding, we all laughed and enjoyed his words/enthusiasm so much! My now husband and I have been together for 9 years, but we discovered with Matt that they way we communicate is very different. Matt was direct, fun, and really put things into perspective. It felt like talking to a friend. We both felt like we could talk to him about anything and he created a very healthy and warm environment during our monthly zoom sessions. Outside of the sessions he provided wonderful resources like videos and exercises for us to work on. If you want someone that will create a marriage counseling course catered to you choose Matt! We chose the topics to discuss with his guidance, and he was always open to discussing other things too. We will be using him again for proactive marriage counseling! We found Matt on The Knot as an officiant, but ended up hiring him as a premarital coach as well. As an officiant he blew us away. The entire family walked away asking, "who was that guy!?"
Matt knew us well from our coaching, but also used a pre-ceremony questionnaire which he used generate a personalized ceremony summarizing our unique story. He is an engaging speaker, did the entire ceremony without notes (including a poem we selected that he memorized), and a loving human whose passion for his work was patently apparent.
As good as he was as an officiant, he is every bit as good as a coach. It isn't obvious from his front-facing promotional materials but he is extremely qualified. The sessions are always valuable and his curriculum is thoughtfully designed. Matt will connect with you as he did us. He is outrageously emotionally intelligent. The coaching isn't cheap, but it's an investment in the rest of your life. Although we haven't tried any other coaches, I have a hard time imagining you'd be able to get anyone better. -

A Fantastic Investment For Your Marriage!!
We hired Matt as our pre-marital coach and officiant for our big day. I can't say enough good things about the guy. Matt truly opened our eyes to new perspectives, walked through conflict resolution strategies with us and opened us up to talk about things we'd never explored together before. Matt really helped prepare our hearts, minds and overall outlook on marriage.
This past weekend, he officiated our wedding and did a wonderful job. We received so many compliments about Matt! He told our story perfectly, he was funny, elegant, classy. Officiant and coaching
Matt Morgan officiated our ceremony and made it so personal and represented us as a couple. My husband and I did coaching with Matt before the wedding and I would highly recommend this to any couples about to get married. He created a safe environment to discuss important topics. Our conversations in our coaching sessions helped Matt get to know us as a a couple and showed in our ceremony. We’ve had numerous compliments on him from friends and family on how great he was. -

Amazing Officiant & Counselor!!!!!!!!
My now husband and I had moved to Maryland shortly before covid hit. We were engaged at the time, and with the stress of buying a home, planning a wedding, and a global pandemic, we recognized that we needed help navigating our relationship. So we decided to do some digging and came across Matt Morgan. Not only did he offer pre-marriage counseling, but also officiant services.
I can’t explain in words how much he has helped my husband and I’s relationship mature. Our communication and partnership are much more understanding and calm. The approach we take when conflict arises has a completely different tone now. AND it’s not only helped our relationship, but it’s also relieved a lot of my own personal stress and frustrations.
Over a 6 month period we had 6 virtual sessions, and then had a wedding planning session to discuss timeline and our vows. The advice and template he gave set us both up for success, and the entire ceremony went perfectly. I received SO MANY compliments on it. Matt did such a wonderful job that some people even asked if he was our childhood friend.
In conclusion, i HIGHLY recommend Matt Morgan for both counseling and wedding officiant services. -

Matt is such a down to earth guy that really wants to HELP your relationship, no matter what stage it’s in! For us, he walked us through pre-marital coaching with his 8 week program. We used his tools to talk through some tough topics that likely will come up throughout any marriage and knowing how to handle them beforehand is a great asset. We also hit on some super fun topics to learn more about each other. As for the wedding day, he really goes above and beyond to make sure he knows you and your partner, but also what you want your ceremony to look like for your relationship. Overall, he is funny and very open and helpful. I would 10/10 recommend Matt Morgan for any relationship! -

Matt was an essential part of our wedding planning and ceremony. I thought my husband and I wouldn't need much coaching, but it helped us work a lot of things out we didn't even know were an issue. We became closer and stronger because of the coaching process. The process allowed Matt to get to know us, therefore, he rocked our ceremony. We still have guests who rave about how amazing he was and how personal he made our ceremony. Highly recommend investing in your marriage and having the best officiant ever! -

Best decision we made!
We could not be happier in our choice to use Matt as our officiant and marriage coach! We were just married last weekend and our ceremony was perfection! After the initial phone call with Matt we both knew he was the one we wanted to use. He is so easy to talk to and makes you feel very comfortable throughout conversations. With our crazy schedules as well as a time change he was very flexible and able to accommodate us in scheduling sessions. The tools that he offers have been very helpful for us and I have personally seen a huge improvement in our communication with each other. I also feel I have a better understanding of my husband and a deeper insight into where we can improve and grow even closer as a couple as well an as individuals. I come from a more religious upbringing while my husband is more spiritual. It was important to me that we incorporate both parts of us in our ceremony. We chose to have a prayer, a poem and instead of a unity candle ceremony, we did a wine box ceremony at the suggestion of Matt, which fit us perfectly! The ceremony planning was super easy and straightforward and customized to us. We chose to do both personal vows and ring vows which everyone loved! Throughout our sessions he really got to know us both as individuals as well as a couple. He is laid back, yet very professional and has a wealth of knowledge that is accessible for us to use for a lifetime. He has a terrific program with tips, tools, videos and exercises, which will only help to enhance our marriage as we grow in the years to come. We are so thankful to have found Matt as well as gain a new forever friend! -

My new husband and I did the premarital coaching with Matt and had him officiate our wedding. He is extremely thorough throughout the entire process and really takes time to get to know you. I can not speak highly enough about Matt. My husband and I got married on September 1st and Matt was our officiant at our wedding. He did a great job!! He made our ceremony memorable. His energy and professionalism really showed. Our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony, which is the most important part of the wedding day. We met with Matt at his office before our big day and he walked us through the process. He asked us about our relationship and our love story. He did a great job of implementing that information into his ceremony speech. We even made a last minute addition of a whiskey Unity Ceremony, and Matt handled the addition beautifully. Matt did an amazing job with our ceremony, and we were so glad we decided to do pre-marital coaching (4 sessions + ceremony planning) with him as well. The coaching ahead of time definitely made for a personalized, meaningful wedding ceremony.
As a non-religious couple, we were initially hesitant to do pre-marital coaching. While Matt's material does include some religious/spiritual elements, he very much let us choose what we wanted to focus on. We were able to choose subject matter that was practical and meaningful to us.
We were ultimately both really glad we did the coaching sessions. Matt was a great guide to our conversations about conflict management, household roles and expectations, finances, family and friends, personality types, and more. It was super meaningful to have these conversations deliberately ahead of our marriage so we have a baseline to continue them going forward.
Another reason we were glad we did the coaching--Matt ran an amazing ceremony, and the fact that we had already gotten to know each other definitely helped. He had our guests (and us) laughing and crying through the whole thing.
The ceremony planning session was also great, especially as we went in with no idea how to plan it. Matt has separate templates with several options for readings, vows, and processionals, for both religious and secular weddings, and he talked through them with us in detail. He also spent a good bit of time interviewing us about our relationship, and told our story as part of the ceremony. The guests loved it, and it was awesome for us to hear it in his words right before we said our vows.
In sum--Matt is incredibly personable and professional. If you're looking for practical, flexible pre-marital coaching and an easy-to-plan, personalized ceremony, I highly recommend him! -

There are no words to explain how grateful my husband and I are for finding Matt Morgan. Over a year ago, I set out to find an officiant for our wedding. Matt described his officiating packages, but also explained his pre-marital coaching packages. At first, I was hesitant about pre-marital coaching, mostly because I had never heard of it and also because I assumed it was similar to marriage counseling. We gave Matt a call and he did a wonderful job of explaining that pre-marital coaching is something couples do BEFORE they begin to encounter problems. His track record of couples he has worked with staying together was astounding and the statistics he listed made us very interested in his coaching experience. We have spent the last year working with Matt and recommend it to every single couple in the world. My husband and I have never had any significant arguments, yet our communication has improved by leaps and bounds since working with Matt. We truly feel that Matt is one of our closest friends and plan on scheduling periodic sessions with him for the foreseeable future. In addition to his support during our pre-marital coaching sessions, Matt was a phenomenal officiant. He spoke from the heart and referenced many specifics about mine and my husband's journey together. I have since had several people reach out inquiring about how we found Matt because they were so impressed. We truly cannot say enough good things about Matt and I feel that I need to force myself to end this review because I could go on for days about his greatness. -

Amazing Winter Wedding
Matt officiated our wedding in the mountains in the middle of winter. We had several comments from guests after the ceremony about his energy and engagement with us and the guests.
More importantly, Matt is our marriage coach. I thought we were in a good place before seeing Matt, but he has been able to engage with discussions which we had not started in 8 years of dating. Matt has helped us grow stronger together and given us tools to work through challenging times in the future. Hire Matt! -

Mountain Ceremony
Wow... Matt is TERRIFIC! We signed up for the marriage counseling and also used him as our officiant. He was professional but fun, a amazing teacher, speaker and incredibly passionate about his work! the part we really appreciated was as we enter a marriage we are happy and our relationship is doing great but 5...10 years down the line we are going to have issues... that's just how it is. Matt taught us how to deal with those situations starting today by changing words and being cognoscente. His program is incredibly organized with online teachings and workbooks. He also officiated our wedding and what a personalized, heart felt experience that was. After the ceremony we had multiple people come up to us praising him saying they had never heard a ceremony as organized, personalized, and well done. The whole experience was incredibly high quality and well worth every dollar we spent! -

Matt was truly one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding and our marriage.
Initially, my fiance was skeptical about the coaching and the price. However, through our sessions with Matt, we got to know and understand each other on a much deeper level that I truly believe will set us up for success for years to come. We both agree that he is worth every penny!
I have never seen a better officiant than Matt. The ceremony was so personal and well done, everyone that attended commented on how wonderful Matt is and asked if he was a long time friend because of how much he knew about us and our relationship and how personal and memorable the ceremony was.
I'm currently tearing up thinking about how beautiful the ceremony was thanks to Matt. I would HIGHLY recommend Matt to anyone! -

Matt was phenomenal and the perfect fit for us for our premarital coaching. We weren't sure we needed coaching at all but are very happy with our decision to sign up. Matt is so engaging and always seems to ask the right questions that lead to great discussions. He's easy going so it doesn't feel intense and we were really able to be ourselves.
After just one session my wife knew that she wanted Matt to be the officiant for our wedding.
The coaching has given us fun date night conversations, practical tools we will actually use, rather than one time gimmicks and new perspectives for how we approach actual and potential conflict, no matter the size.
Overall it was a great experience with Matt and I would highly recommend any couple sign up for his coaching!
As for Matt as a wedding officiant - Wow. Just wow. We had a planning session where we came up with an outline and from there let him do the rest - and he did not disappoint.
Matt was sentimental, inspiring, funny (what we wanted) and brought great energy to the room. A ton of our guests complimented Matt and our ceremony. He's versatile and tailors the wedding ceremony exactly how you want it.
Again - we highly recommend Matt.
